We have used Lachance for about 7 years. We first met Bill when he came out to quote our new boiler. We then had an issue with our Well trol tank and found them exceptional in pricing compared to the well company we had previously used. We have found them very responsive and now have them doing service at my parents house, and that too has been very positive.
Lachance has been taking care of my gas furnace and steam heating, and they have been fantastic. They also changed my hot water tank recently flawlessly. Highly recommended!

Over the years we used this business for our plumbing and heating needs, but over the last few years the quality was poor. They serviced my furnace, but never reconnected the water condensation line so my basement floor had water all over. They installed a dishwasher and now my pipe under the faucet leaks. I tried to give them the benefit of doubt. Finally decided to switch when technician would not come down my driveway because there was a patch of ice. He was in a 4x4 truck. My Mother in Law(77) visited the day before and had no problems with the driveway, nor have we. Amazon deliveries no issue either. I think this was a sign to change P&H companies.
This is a response to the woman that is accusing us of stealing medication, we have never ever had any issues with my technicians being a accused of such a thing and we were not the only ones in this womens apartment, there were 2 other guys doing work there. This is an disturbing accusation and she did not even bring this concern to our attention, instead she decided to post on the internet. We will be seeking legal action regarding this matter. This is not something you accuse people of with no proof!!!
Graduated school last year as a heating oil technician. Simply amazing that none of these companies will give new people a chance. If youre looking for opportunities dont even bother unless you have every license. They wonder why people are getting old in the industry. And no one is replacing them
These guys drive like they are the only ones on the road. Driving a lettered up can, blowing stop signs, passing cars that are still going over the speed limit out RT 40...its a sad shame that people dont realize their actions reflect on the business. Dont be in such a rush. Even IF you saved a couple minutes youre putting EVERYONE around you at risk and we dont care if youre late or have to get to the next job. Slow down and respect everyone else around you. If you plumb like you drive you have no right to be working on other people houses or businesses because your only concern is for yourself in that moment.
Check your medicine cabinet after theyve been in your homeOn 06/24/2020 I discovered that a marked prescription bottle which was nearly full of tizanidine was emptied all but one pill. Lachance had been hired by Norman Realty Solutions(my landlord) to install a new heating system for our building. They were on the premises, specifically in my apt on 06/11, 06/12 and again on 06/24. In broad daylight while I worked from home, these professionals were in my bedroom, my childrens room and who knows what they were rifling through if they were bold enough to steal prescription drugs(that bottle was nearly full on 06/04, and these individuals were the only people who had been inside of our dwelling since this pandemic began).

This company is amazing! They installed a beautiful new furnace for Grammy and caught a major issue with the chimney before it became a danger to her. They were so professional! They took the old furnace away and made sure everything was perfect! I highly recommend them!
We scheduled an appointment to get our boiler serviced 2-weeks out. The morning of the appointment, we received a cancellation call. We re-scheduled, making clear that this is a no-heat situation. We were cancelled on again, a half-hour before the appointment was to take place. We were understandably frustrated at this point, and were stern, but not rude, when trying to figure out how to get someone here. The customer service representative on the phone actually mocked and laughed at us, told us to call around, and hung up on us. She doesnt want our business, and now wont be getting it for the 30+ years we plan to own our home.We cant speak for the actual services/work their employees provide and this is not a review based on that.
As others have said...the woman answering the phones has such a negative attitude that you want to avoid any interaction, but when you add in the fact that she is simply unable to do her job (has to be related to someone there) and the rudeness, it is a pass. The service people are generally so-so, I have in the past had great people and then the next guy is swearing up a storm because the work was going to be hard.I called another place, guy came over was polite quick and way way cheaper. Lachance charges you a minimum of $100 to go to your house before anything is even done. This guy did the work and replaced a part all for $114, no way would I get this from these guys. Again avoid, if just so you dont have to talk to angry woman on the phone there.
Every time that I deal with LaChance I lose confidence in them. I like the techs that Ive met, but the office is less than ideal. If you have a question when you call in, they have nobody to hear what the issue is to help them understand what the problem is. They wont put you in contact with a tech unless you book an appointment and pay $130 for them to stop over even if they do not have any idea of what the issue is. They will not call you back to discuss the issues if you leave a message. I had a water heater that went out and told them that my tenant is without hot water. They never got back to me to setup an appointment or to discuss. They also told me that relighting the pilot on any gas appliance must be done by a licensed pipe fitter even though every user manual gives the end user the instructions on how to do it.Previously they came out to another apartment of mine and they charge me $130 twice to not resolve the sMe issue.I have 30 rental units and would love to have a dependable plumber to work with for all of them, but I need a partner to work with. LaChance is not that company.
Mike installed 4 dual energy units without a problem, and most recently our heat was not functioning well along with a kick heater in our kitchen. Mike came by and fixed it all in less time then expected and at a very fair price. LaChance is an all around quality plumber. You’re never taking a chance with a LaChance
On Friday September I called Lachance Plumbing to come to a rental unit I own for a problem with the gas water heater. They were the company that had installed them for me originally. The technician said the control was not working correctly which caused my tenant to either run out of hot water or for it to be scalding hot. The technician said I should replace it because it was nine years old already. He said it would be $2,000.00. I asked if he could do any better, he called his boss and told me that his boss had made an error when he quoted me the price because he was looking at an old price but he would honor the original quote of $2,000.00 & he would be able to install it on Tuesday because it was Labor Day weekend. On Tuesday morning before 7:30 am I called to tell Lachance that I wanted to check with another company to check to see if I was doing the right thing and I would call him back shortly, which I did. I called him back before 9:30 am to have him do the work. The receptionist said she would check & call me right back. I waited one and a half hours and I called back and spoke with a different receptionist who then informed me that they would not be able to do it until later in the week. She said they had two other heaters to install. I explained that I was supposed to be on the schedule for today & that I told the owner I would call him back shortly & I did. I said you mean he just doesnt want to do it. She said no hell do it but not until later in the week, keep in mind my tenants have been without hot water since Friday & it is now Tuesday. I said I was only trying to make sure I was doing the right thing. So I had no choice to call another plumber & they came within 2 hours to install it and charged me less than $1800.00. He had said it should have been $2300.00. So the moral of this story is Mr Lachance was not being honest or responsible in the way he treated me. Be sure you check everything before you do business with Lachance Plumbing.
The receptionist/dispatcher is an extremely rude and unprofessional woman. The technicians are hard working and pleasant but this woman has the worst attitude and really sucks at her job. I have been a very loyal customer for many years and the one time I have a billing issue she speaks to me like Im a child and then hangs up on me. I was very polite when I called and my issues were genuine and to be spoken to like that is unacceptable. I will never recommend or do business with this company again.
Couldnt help with my Hotwater heater charged me to do a job they couldnt fix plus very rude on the phone to customers

I called Lachance Plumbing & Heating for an central air conditioning repair. They were easy to deal with on the phone, and happily accommodated my scheduling needs, in spite of our being in a heat wave. The service man who came was prompt, knowledgable, and efficient. He solved my immediate problem, and discussed frankly the age of my system (both in years and current function) and the probable list of options to deal with this in the future. I am 110% satisfied with the service and would happily call Lachance again for future needs.
Apparently this company is in no need of my business. They were suppose to be here between 2-4 yesterday,never showed.They were suppose to be here between 12-2 today,never showed.I blame the arrogant, incompetent witch that answers the phone.I just wish she had told me up front that she wouldnt send someone instead of wasting 4 hours of my time. I guess I SHOULDA CALLED AL TERRY which is exactly what I intend to do.

Awful this place is seriously a joke. This is my first bad review to company and this place deserves it. I used them for plumbing and heat only once. 6 weeks after I had my drains cleaned my bathroom was filling with water. I called I explained, she said she would call me back she had to talk to the plumber she never called back a week later I called and told me I have old pipes and no guarantees. Sorry. Then hangs up.
Be aware of a hidden charge!I was charged for two service calls @ $100.00 each.The problem was diagnosed in less than 15 minutes. The service man stated hell be right back, he couldnt find the part in his truck and had to go to the office and get one.About an hour later I receved a call from Lachance, she apologized and stated that didn’t have the part, but they would have it in the morning.The next day the service man came and screwed in the sensor (It didnt and take even 10 min).I was charge for 2 service calls @ $100.00 each. When I called the office and explained the situation, I was told He was there yesterday and today that’s two service calls. I stated that’s not right and I refused to pay for both service calls.Nut shell she gave me $50.00 off and then she stated that I can no longer use there service!Oh less than 2 years ago Lachance installed my heating system.Anyone that knows me will tell you, If Im complaining something is wrong!
I had problems with my water heater, they serviced it charging me $900. The heater worked for only worked for 2 months. I called them again, and spoke to a girl named Teresa, who was super rude! she was like Well, it did work for 2 months so we did our service correctly um.. no am I supposed to service my water heater every two months and pay $900 for it?!? If you are going to fix it fix it right! On top of that, Teresa said in a very rude manner that we had to wait two weeks for a repair man and that if we want it done sooner just go to another company before HANGING UP on us.

My husband called last week to have our central air serviced. We received an appt between 10 - 12 today. We arranged our schedule to make sure to be home for when the technician may arrive. 10 - 12 came and went. My husband called and was told the technician had an emergency and was running a little behind. After 1PM I called to get an estimate of when somebody would arrive, was placed on hold for awhile, and was finally told yeah I dont think its gonna happen today. Our guy is caught up with an AC unit and is in a pickle. Now I completely understand that emergencies happen. Totally understandable. What I dont understand is why the first phone call made when this emergency came up wasnt to the existing clients on their schedule. Simple: Hi, this is So-and-so from LaChance Plumbing and Heating. Weve had an emergency and may not be able to make it to your house today. Im so sorry about that, but would you like to reschedule? Good customer service is so easy. This woman on the phone wasnt even apologetic. So while as I recall, the technicians weve used from LaChance for years have always been wonderful, we will be taking our business elsewhere from now on. Too bad as we were in to market to replace our entire unit next fall. Im sure nobody there cares about losing the business of one customer, but it matters to us, so one star, unfortunately.
WOW the most unprofessional lack of customer service I have ever experienced with a company. The woman that answered the phone was beyond rude. When I tried to confirm my appointment for today she told me it wasnt until next week. I knew I booked it for today as I closed my business to be home. She then proceeded to tell me how wrong I was and it was for next week, take it or leave it. She then complained that she had 4 other calls on hold and it wasnt her problem
