Affiliated with A&E Repair.Had appointment for 1-5pm. At 4:45pm I watched through my video doorbell as the technician pulled up to my house. He sat in the car for about a minute and then drove off. NEVER EVEN GOT OUT THE CAR to ring the doorbell to check if someone was home. Received a callback after 60minutes at about 5:30pm and was told the tech called my number but there was no answer. A&E had my phone number wrong! And that still doesnt excuse how this guy did not even exit the car to ring the doorbell.Operator told me she was sending the tech a note to return. Called A&E back at 7:30pm. Next operator told me there was no record of the 5:30pm call and the technician was not going to come back. This company is horrible. Choice Home Warranty is no help in the matter.Update: Rescheduled appointment was for the following Thursday 7am-11am. No tech showed up. Called 10am, waited on hold for about 30min, was told techs eta is 2:16pm. Never received a text alert to say tech was running late. Was told an alert was being sent to the dispatcher for them to call be with an updated time as the person on the phone agreed 2:16pm is not 7-11am. Never received a call.Asked warranty company to switch me to a different company because it was clear A&E is not respectful of my time.

Sears customer service are lying, manipulative, dishonest, greedy organization. Plus the employees answering the phones and the technicians that come out to supposedly service the equipment have attitudes and clearly don’t want to work. I have called 10 times one has said it is what it is because it’s their opinion and refuse to properly service any appliances. They also refuse to provide contact information to supervisors but have enough nerve to call back during times that I didn’t given them. They give you the run around and even hang up in mid call instead of actually trying to assist you.So Sears Please Explain what’s the point for paying for a warranty and having someone come out to repair/diagnose appliances if your company only goes off of its employees opinions not facts and refuses to PROPERLY service the appliances.... NOT run a proper diagnostic but just shine a dim flashlight at it and spend less than 5 minutes with it and don’t even run it.Beware anyone that buys appliances or anything from SEARS that you pay a warranty for because they won’t honor it or show respect to you as a customer. If it breaks or acts up they will stated their opinion so basically your warranty doesn’t apply so they don’t have to do anything and will catch attitude and treat you like nothing giving you run around.FYI Sears you need to retrain your customer service employees even the ones in India pretending to be in the US because we know their real names aren’t John, Becky, Rasaad, Or Jim 🤨 while they sounding all alike. Plus you need to retrain your technicians to actually come out and complete a proper diagnostic of the appliances in question not just put dont their opinion after using dim flashlight because clearly their dim flashlight must have X-ray vision.

This rating is based solely on the time it takes Sears to service a refrigerator(3 years old) that was covered by the 5 year warranty. The service techs that inspected(first visit) and installed parts(second visit) were both very good. They were competent and knowledgeable. The main issue is the length of response time for an emergency repair. One would think that being without a refrigerator for 3 weeks is not something that should happen with a $ 600 warranty. The first tech diagnosed the problem (compressor) and then had to order parts. He did not have a compressor on his truck as he had already replaced 9 compressors that week. He ordered parts and then we had to wait until all the parts were delivered to our house. We were told to re-contact Sears and let them know when the parts arrived, however we were not told how many parts we were waiting for. Turned out to be 3 packages delivered on 3 different days. Finally, after 3 weeks without a refrigerator, except for the dorm sized fridge that the manager at the local Sears loaned us, our fridge was fixed. I dont feel like we are being unreasonable being a little upset that it took 3 weeks to get a refrigerator fixed. But, as Dennis Miller always says, thats just my opinion, I could be wrong

I was initially pleased with the online scheduling for my appointment. However, I specifically asked whether the technician would have the part and for an initial estimate based on the replacement of a known part. Sears extended warranties are a waste of money. Ive had a number of Sears major appliances over the years, including a washing machine (3-yr warranty) and a GE oven (5-yr warranty, $299.99). While I didnt have a need for actual repairs on either, I did use the opportunity for a maintenance checkup on both (I did put it off until near the warranty expiration). The technician in each case did very little. In the case of the washer, the tech asked for a few paper towels and some Windex. That was apparently his or Sears idea of doing basic maintenance on a washer. I couldnt believe it. For the oven, there wasnt a great deal more. Pre-heat the oven, check the temp with some gauge (at least had equipment this time). Done in 15 minutes or less. I cant say how they would have handled actual repair work, but their basic maintenance was part of the warranty and I received virtually nothing for it.

One-star goes to our Sears repairman and whoever he spoke to the phone while at our house.Five-stars go to the Sears salesman who suggested we exchange the freezer. Here’s the story:Our new, two-week old and highest-rated Consumer Report’s chest freezer (Kenmore 17802) took three days to cool down properly and kept a difference of 10° between the bottom and top, which meant that we had to set the unit for -10° in order to get 0° at the top. Upon learning that our freezer was just two weeks old, the Sears repairman listened and then called someone “higher up” who said that a differential of 12° was acceptable. After speaking with a Sears’s salesman and explaining the situation once again, he suggested that we exchange the unit, which we did. The new, new freezer took just two hours to cool down and has been maintaining the correct temperature, while set at 0°, with no more than 2° difference from bottom to top. We can also now hear the compressor turn on; whereas before, we could not.So now we couldn’t be happier with our new Kenmore chest freezer, but the experience leaves us wondering about the quality of future repairs.

The belt went on our 5 year old Kenmore washer, and the dryer was acting up too, so I put in a repair request online. It only let me choose 1 appliance, so I put in the notes that I wanted the dryer fixed, too. I couldnt be home, so my mom waited for the tech. The tech arrives, but the model #s are worn off the machines, so he cant read them, so he charges us the $79 & leaves, but says he can come back once we have the model #s. When I got home, I called sears repair, and they give me the model #s. WHY COULDNT HE GET THEM WHILE HE WAS HERE?? They send him back out in couple hours later, and he gives me grief, saying hell have to charge us another $79, and are we sure these are the model #s. I have to call in & get the to tell him that were covered under the first $79. Then he doesnt want to do the work because hes not sure theyre the right model #s, and asks us several times if were sure. I get the distinct impression that he doesnt want to do the work. Eventually he actually looks at the washer, and says we need a new belt. He orders one, and says it will arrive later in the day. He calls back later to see if its arrived, but no belt. He calls the next morning, but still no belt. I call Sears in the afternoon to find out where the belt is, and they tell me that it will arrive in 5-7 days, and theyve already made an appt to come back out in a week. Were they actually going to tell me that at some point? So my washers not getting fixed for a week. Meanwhile, while he was here, I asked about him also taking a look at the dryer. But since that wasnt on the work order, he couldnt. Called the main Sears line, and sure enough, theyd have to make a SEPARATE appt. and send him back out on another day. Even though Id requested it in the original appointment. Apparently no one reads the notes. The washer may actually get fixed next week, and it may turn out fine, but the whole experience has made me hate dealing with Sears home repairs, and I wont be doing it again.

Our repairman was polite and professional with the repair itself; the dishwasher was repaired during the first visit - so fully satisfied re: that important aspect. However the hard sell on the extended warranties was unreal! This started by the operator when I called to make the appointment, and continued with the repairman. I began to think that they would not complete the transaction until I caved and bought some extended warranty on some appliance. I deferred multiple times but the attempt to have us purchase these service warranties would not stop. This became quite annoying after I declined for the 4th time, and he still came back with another angle, another appliance, another term, another rate. I have heard this same hard sell occurred with other friends and family members. Same tactics as a cars salesperson - let me check with my manager on the specials / best rate, making us involuntarily invest time and social capital to pull us into a deal. Although we prefer the Kenmore brand and the repair work itself was fine (though a bit overpriced), I truly do not want to have to go through this hard sell again, so likely will not use Sears Appliance Repair again.

The air vent was especially problematic since she is 66 and had trouble getting up and down off the floor. Your repair service is terrible. My washer has been out of service since Dec. 16th. You refuse to admit it cant be fixed, you send rebuilt parts. I would never recommend Sears to anyone. I only gave it one star because I had to in order for this to post.

Will never use them ever again. Appt window was for 10am to 2pm. Changed several times and finally showed up about 4pm. Washing machine is Still making noise $250 later. The repairman kept trying to sell packages to me rather than fixing machine. He took my credit card and then drove away with it. My bank then declined any transactions and flagged the charges I believe due to the repairman putting info in wrong. I hope. I now have fraud monitoring too.UPDATE: washer stopped working. Had to have them out AGAIN. More time missed from work. And washer still makes SAME EXACT NOISE.HORRIBLE.CAN I GIVE ZERO STARS?

I would give 0 stars if possible. I have had the machine repaired (washer dryer combo) by a sears tech, the same one, maybe 3 times now. last two times was lied to blatantly, told they came and knocked but no one answered ( as I was watching tv in the living room next to front door.. lie 1) then they said that they couldnt find parking (lie 2), so I went outside of my building and see complete open spaces without even having to turn my head. Then the best lies came when the tech actually arrived. ** my clothes come out of the dry cycle wet because of lint(lie 3)** which was nonsense because in the end the machine was filling up to the brim with water on a DRY CYCLE. After that time I decided to take a video of what happened to show the tech, which I did and he had told me it just needed a reset **the motherboard** and that after he reset it it would be good to go on my usual laundry. Again the same problem happened two wash cycles later, but this time it filled to the brim and flooded my apartment. I have now lost both time and money putting in for cab fare to laundromat to wash clothes since the repairman was too incompetent to do his job/ seemed he just wanted to come up with an excuse for the problem to say he fixed it. In the end of the last appointment on tuesday 8/8/17 I was told he would be back on tuesday 8/15/17 to follow up. SO I TOOK OFF WORK AND HE NEVER SHOWED. Called in and he had never reported an appointment for that day, so again, I was lied to. Dont ever go to them. I will be finding the best way about going on getting my hard earned money back that should have never been spent if the machine wa so called fixed.
