We had a leaking under the sink.I found them from Google. The service man was friendly and told us to order new faucet and we got one. He postponed the schedule a couple of times and fixed anyway. However we still had the leaking after he is gone. We paid $275 to change the faucet.We called him again to fix however he told us to pay another $300 and I said you just fixed it and my purpose was to stop the leaking however you did not finish the job and offered another $100 and he did not accept.While he was changing faucet he said the pipe is looking good and no need to change it and I agreed. It was about $100 more but since he is the expert I said okay. Anyways asking another $300 for an unfinished job is not a nice thing. If you are fixing something you need to finish it. Not recommended!

They were able to get someone out the day of my issue. We had a power outage for about 12 hours and our HVAC wouldn’t come back on. It is June so hvac crews are all really busy but they got a tech out an fit was the t switch that had issues. Only charged me the service fee.

Been using them for years and never had a complaint or issue. They are always accommodating and techs are knowledgeable and friendly. I also buy the yearly service contract with Popes so they inspect my system twice a year.

I had a complex repair situation with a Trane residential a/c system. The problem appears to be Tranes fault, and is currently the subject of a recall. Because of the complexity, it did take Popes a little bit of time to determine the correct course of action and make a repair. However, once Popes understood the situation, they made the repair quickly.

Popes Air has done an amazing job replacing my hot water heater, toilets, faucets, and AC unit. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend them for any Plumbing or AC needs!

The first time I had Pope service my HVAC they caused a water leak that damaged the drywall in my basement. Sure they fix it after arguing who was responsible. Recently I had them over as part of the preventative maintenance and the tech DJ was barely here 10 minutes and not. 20 minutes after he left my whole system goes out. Apparently a wire touched metal and blew a fuse in my unit. Why the hell do I pay for preventative maintenance only to have the technician screw things up.

From start to finish, they did an awesome job fixing my heater problem. Chanel - the office rep who took my call did an excellent job explaining pricing and what to expect in detail. Henry -the tech did an awesome job diagnosing and explaining the problems he found. It has been about two weeks since he fixed it and I am happy to report everything is working as it should. And I happily signed up for their yearly contract to boot.

AC unit went out during the summer; of course, Pope installed the unit previously, (HVAC duct tape instead of proper seals) wont go into that issue. I purchased an extended warranty; it made sense at the time. AC motor and capacitor failed three seasons later.Upon the May initial contact, everyone was cordial and friendly. After my follow up, based on no status by the end of June, I called, an update of no available motor was available (understandable regarding COVID-19). I scheduled an appointment with the option of paying more for a general motor for the AC also, the installation of the filter tray that was not installed previously by Popes air (I had to pay for this). Popes definition of install, cut side of ductwork and nail 12 sheet metal into the subfloor, after contacting Popes Air regarding this discounted work, the service agent instructed the original estimate technician would be in contact with me, clarify the differences of filter racks.Moral of this interaction, If you can measure, have subpar mechanical skills, modest set of tools, and require long-lasting quality work, select only work that you are incapable of doing yourself.

We have been customers of Pope’s Air for almost 20 years. They Have always been helpful and responsive with great advice and service. JR was out recently and fixed our unit which turned out to be a quick fix due to the extremely hot weather in July. He is always very informative and pleasant. We are lucky to have Pope’s take such good care of our HVAC.

We hired Popes Air to fix our heat and they sent JR who was very professional. He did a fantastic job and figured out the problem quickly which was very helpful and kept the cost down. Our dealings with Popes has been the most positive experience weve had in our 25+ years in VA. They did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it, at a fair price. Tim provided an estimate to replace 2 systems & a hot water heater. He explained everything in laymans terms. On install day they sent a 6-man team, plus Tim came for the first couple of hours to make sure that everything got off to a good start. Every person introduced themselves as they entered our home and explained what they would be working on. This is an update from my original review from 2 years ago. Last year (2017) JR from Popes air recommended a new heat pump system for our home. We had it installed in December 2017. A year later (October 2018), JR came to check our system and it is working very well. I also want to note that we have noticed a decrease in an electric bill since this new system was installed which we are very happy about. We will continue to purchase the yearly maintenance contract and know that we will get consistently excellent customer service.Once again Popes Air has provided excellent service. Bill and Joe came out on time this morning to repair and replace broken dampers on our furnace. They completed the work in a timely manner, explained the repair, showed me the work that was done and left the area clean. They were polite and very professional. Looking forward to a cooler upstairs just in time for the 100 degree weather coming our way!!!!

My unit is way past its expiration date. Of course money and timing dont always allow for replacement of expensive items. My machine is installed probably 2-3 years ago. Right after installation, I can hear the unit was very loud. The person who installed it said it was normal, because outside was very hot. So I trusted his words, but it keeps making the noise... never been quiet.. I mentioned this to the annual check up guy, he did not check the issue either, just fudged the issue. I did not think much, until I went to my friends house who I recommend popes air to him, his machine is running very quiet... I am very disappointed... it means the guy who installed my machine did not install it well, or my machine has some problem.

JR has been here a few times to address initial problems and follow up system inspections. He and the other service technicians are very knowledgeable about my very computer oriented system. JR came out within a few hours of my phone call, diagnosed the problem (a ruptured condenser gas line) then installed a new replacement unit the next morning. This place is a scam and rip off. They came to our house with a perfectly working system for an annual check up. Our a/c system was working perfectly and then one week later our a/c was broken and needed a 1000$ repair. Fast forward one month and now we need a WHOLE NEW 7000$ system!!?!?! Very crooked, shady, company scamming families for profit. I will shout it from the rooftops do not Work with Popes Air.

3/4/14 Winter storm. My tenants called me to say the heat went out at the house and the system did not respond to the thermostat. I called several companies and Popes Air was the first to call back. Their service Mgr walked me through a few things and made sure that my tenants were told to keep the faucets dripping till the service tech arrived to prevent any pipes from freezing. My service tech was JR. I am writing this because I am so thankful for honest people in this world! JR told me that the tenant had not changed the filter in such a liong time that the system could not keep up with the demand . As it turns out all I needed was a clean filter and to adjust the dampers to allow more air to the first floor. All of this was covered in their one price diagnostic fee. I was so impressed with his honesty that I went with a service agreement so they will come by to check on things twice per year.

Our AC broke in the middle of the day in 102deg weather and, even though we werent scheduled for that day, someone came by at 8:30 that night and fixed our problem! It was absolutely stellar service and i would recommend Popes Air to anyone!

We recently replaced 2 Trane heat pumps at our home that had lasted 17 years. After gettingbids from several HVAC companies in the Manassas area, we chose Pope Air to install 2 TraneXL16i heat pumps, 2 air handlers, and 2 new thermostats. I had first called Pope Air for their proposal on aMonday morning, and less than 2 hours later, the sales person from Pope was at our hometaking measurements, answering all my questions, and handing me a detailed proposal with afixed price. We decided to go with Pope Air on Wednesday, and by Friday of the same week,there were about 8 technicians at our home installing both systems. The technicians werefriendly, competent, and more than willing to answer any questions about the installation andnew systems. This crew had both systems completely installed by the end of the day. I wasimpressed with this companys determination to ensure that I was completely satisfied beforemaking the final payment. I also like the idea of doing business with a smaller, local family-owned HVAC company instead of one of the larger companies that provided proposals.

These guys are very responsive and keep my AC running.
