Soundview saved my vacation this week. I crashed my borrowed car (after losing my car in the flooding) and assumed that was it - Id be staying home this week, awaiting lengthy repairs. My good luck was in calling Soundview - I had no prior experience with a repair shop in the area and chose them at random. Ralph took a look at my car right then and there, confirmed his (correct) initial impression that afternoon, and the parts were obtained and the car fixed for pick up the next day, all at a very reasonable price. Im writing this from my saved vacation, and will never go anywhere else for repairs.

Soundview Service Center is a family owned autorepair shop and gas station that has exceptional service and quality of work.They have taken care of my parents vehicles for years and all of my vehicles. They always give a good explanation of services, an accurate timeline, and reasonable pricing.Everything from quick fixes of low tire pressure and light bulb replacements, large repair jobs, and scheduled maintenance They have always done right by me and my family!The staff there knows and cares about their customers.Their gas prices are competitive with other gas stations in the area and their full service pumps make filling up a breeze.

Have driven by this place hundreds of times since its close to me, but visited for the first time yesterday because I needed an inspection. After calling a couple of other places that couldnt help me same-day, Soundview was very accommodating and happy to service my car. Everyone was really nice and judging by the newspaper articles on the wall it seems like its been in business for decades and family owned. When I need another inspection Ill definitely come back and if my car needs any work, Ill call them before anyone else.

Extremely slow and condescending business. Oil change took about 4 full hours from the drop off the car to pick up took when was told it would be around an hour and half. The front desk lady was nothing but rude and unprofessional when speaking to customer. Will never come back and would not recommend the serve at all. Get Better training at the front desk. So unprofessional and felt unsafe speaking with no protocol during pandemic.

Had an emergency brake down off 95!Got towed to this hidden gem and got serviced immediately.Belt,alternator and water pump all swapped out with a great turn around time

Ive been a Soundview Service Center customer for more than 20 years and through 5 cars, both domestic and foreign. The mechanics at Soundview are highly skilled and dependable. I am consistently impressed at their diagnostic and mechanical abilities. The service at Soundview is impeccable. Theyll come and get you if you are stranded, they will diagnose the problem accurately and give you an honest assessment of what is needed and what the cost will be. I will be a customer for life.

The owner Ralph is an honest, no nonsense mechanic. You will not be up sold, pressured or messed around with here. Their estimates are accurate, service times quick and explanations are detailed. I have recommended them before and will do so again in the future.

This gas station is the only one I know that has clean bathrooms. They have one for males and one for females. The men that work here always have a good energy. I have been bringing my vehicles here for 20 years. They are totally honest and do excellent work, that they stand behind. No work is ever done on my vehicle that I did not authorize, they are always up front about prices etc. They are not cheap but you get what you pay for! The prices are reasonable and the work is always worth what I pay. Ralph and Peter have done their Dad proud as they continue the work he started in this family business. I highly recommend them.

If I could rate it lower i would. I have been there in the past to get gas and the attendant was very nice - I did not have this same attendant. This past visit on July 6th proved to be unpleasant. I pulled in with my zipcar into their full service pump as i have in the past. I asked to fill it up and then the attendant went to help a tow truck and forgot about me. When I asked to get my gas card back he gave me ATTITUDE. i was patient but a zipcar is a timed car and I had to travel to return it. He told me that he had a job to do and if i didnt like it i should go somewhere else or use a self serve pump. Wow - OK - I will not be back and neither will anyone i know in Mamaroneck. Heres a tip - service is what you do, service is what you provide - dont want to serve - GET ANOTHER JOB

My vehicle had a check engine light. Rather than bring it to the dealer, I decided to bring it to Ralph and the guys at Soundview Service Center. I heard they had an excellent reputation for being honest and fair. I am so glad I did. They fixed my problem very quickly and I will be back again! Thank you Ralph!

There do great work and great prices only place I would bring my cars

We all know garages have a bad reputation of overcharging etc. but not here. Ralph and his team always do a great job on my cars and the last visit he made an error on my invoice. I didnt notice it so was pleasantly surprised when Ralph called me the next day to say he made a mistake and had to refund the difference. Restored my faith that there are some good guys still out there.

Top of the line as usual and reasonably priced

My work van suffered catastrophic engine failure, 70 miles from home! I didnt know the area but I luckily pulled into this gas station at 3:30 in the afternoon. My livelihood is in this van and Im stuck. They took me right in, had parts needed delivered and reassembled the motor by 4:45pm. Charged an extremely reasonable price and I was on my way. They didnt know me from Adam and really took care of me. Cant praise them enough. Need auto work done, go there.

Yes, I have already written a raving review of Soundview. Why take the time to write another? After 33 years of extraordinary service, it does not seem unreasonable. In a world where everyone tries to get by doing the least amount of work possible, here is a world where they ALWAYS go above and beyond. The kind of customer service I grew up with just doesnt exists anymore -- but it does at Soundview. Combine that with incredible integrity and being treated in a way youd expect from your family, or your spiritual community, but certainly not by a business.The other reason I decided to write another review is because I noticed I was so busy telling you how honest and kind the Parentes (and their employees!) are, that I forgot to write about their knowledge and skill. Over the years I have had Hondas, Toyotas and Volkswagens. (I have also referred friends with Fords, BMWs, Jeeps and Subarus.) They are always up on the latest technology and quirks of all makes and models. I hear from them about a recall before I hear from the dealer or manufacturer. Ralph knows about little glitches to watch out for, when something should still be covered and what the expected life span of various parts should be. It is no wonder, I have often found him with his mechanics around the computer looking up details, or calling parts dealer to discuss best available resolutions and prices. I know how respected they are by their peers because on the few occasions I had to stop elsewhere in an emergency, when the owners would try to recruit my regular business and I tell them Im a loyal Parente customer, they stop. They tell me Im in good hands and to say hello to Ralph and Judy and Pete.The only way you could possibly go wrong is by NOT choosing Soundview as your go-to garage.

I want to preface this review by saying that I am new to the area and know almost nobody.

Overcharged and performed unnecessary services. Quotes were 150% higher than standard/equivalent work-parts.

The gas prices are way higher than the other stations . I wish they werent so I could come more often.
