From first contact, to first meet viewing of apartments, to dealing with the paperwork, the ins and outs of the process, he was INCREDIBLE!!! I cant stress that enough, he was reliably available to answer my questions and concerns and definitely kept things at a steady rolling pace as long as I was comfortable proceeding without pressure to do so. I was looking for my first apartment leaving my parents’ home and was scared and overwhelmed trying to find the right place for me. Working with Jorge has been fantastic. He has been attentive, responsive, and professional from start to finish. He found me two amazing options that I applied for. The apartment I ended up choosing checked every box I was looking for and then some. I am thrilled and excited to move in and I couldn’t have done it without Jorge’s guidance and patience. Highly recommend and would go back to Jorge/HSH again if I were to leave (although they might have to pry me out of this place it’s such a great space for me)

I went there to find an apartment quickly because I got a new job. I mentioned that the nearest branch to my bank is not that near, which slowed things on my end. The owner or manager decided to give her 2 cents on this. Sorry that I didnt have time to switch banks for your convenience? I almost walked, but the person who was actually helping me would have lost commission and they did nothing wrong. In addition, I was also taken to places far out of my price range and they also tried to charge an extra percentage for my cat. Yes, they tried to charge a pet fee. That would have had me walk, but they graciously waived it.I did end up going through them, but it was out of need more than desire.I would suggest another realtor. You have plenty to choose from.

After trying to find a new home via site unseen because I was relocating from NC to NY after serving 25 Years in the Army I found I was less then pleased with other real estate companies. I placed one request via Zillow to get more information on a listing I thought would be perfect and in a matter of mins I was called back and a young lady named Adele assisted me. Following a brief screening process in which she asked me some basic questions she sent me listings that matched my rental needs and set me up with an appointment with Michael G. who kindly did a face-time showing of the apartments I liked the most. I was so pleased with how kind and patient Michael was and how he took the time to go out and take pictures, get the answers to all my questions and basically be my eyes that I finally found the perfect new home. Between the two of the amazingly helpful people and the broker at Home Sweet Home Properties I was able to complete my relocation move, find my perfect home and get the all the amenities and rental price I was looking for. I am recommending this office to all my fellow service members who are looking to relocate to the NY - Westchester County Area.I cannot thank them enough for making the start of this new chapter in my life a smooth transition.(My wife loves this kitchen)

Kim Hastings of Home Sweet Home Properties gotta be the most amazing agent I ever met, she puts the E in efficient, I had to move on short notice within the span of three days she found me a beautiful one bedroom apartment, had all the paper work ready to go, next thing you know the land lady pulled out of the deal, within 3 hours Kim was able to show me a better, more beautiful, more spacious and less costly apartment, I immediately made a decision and in 24 hours I had the keys to my new place. I will definitely utilize her service again

Although I did end up getting a place with Home Sweet Home as I found a place in Connecticut instead I had the pleasure of working with Michael. He really cares about finding the right place for you. I highly recommend having him as your agent.

This agency is a joke to say the least. We were shown an apartment that my husband and I found on our own. Had it not been for the fact that the agency had the listing, we would not have used them. To top it off, Kim, the agent we met with decided to show us two other apartments they had in the area. One was completely stripped and under construction. The other was filled with garbage and an old couch that had not been cleaned out. Long story short, the apartment was anything but livable. We only stayed two months in this place with zero hot water. I was seven months pregnant at the time. Both my six year old daughter and I had to take freezing cold showers. When we called the agency for a refund of our broker fee, we were given the runaround for weeks. Finally, the phone was hung up on us by Terry or Teresa, the manager. We spoke to Mariah and other staff that were anything but professional. They were very quick to take advantage of a small family and cash the checks. But their listings are below par and their knowledge of the neighborhoods is lacking.

Jorge Guerrero placed me in 2 rental properties over 2 years. Both experiences were very positive with Jorge explaining everything at every step of the way. Jorge is an attentive and knowledgeable individual who obviously cares for his work and his clients. The office staff have been courteous and delightful throughout the experiences as well. Definitely recommend this agency and specifically this agent. The fees are well worth it in the end as you get a service that continues past closing and when youre talking about your home for the foreseeable future you want to get it right the first time. My advice to others is to ask as many questions as possible and make your concerns known, your agent doesnt know anything about you besides what you tell them!

My fiancé and I were in desperate need of an apartment our agent did find some apartments but none to our liking. We showed the agent what we wanted but that was no help. The agency made us put down $600 first in order for us to go further for apartment hunting and later the $600 will be deducted from the brokers fee once an apartment is found, long story short we never got an apartment and they still have our $600 as of today, and we never heard from the agent again. It’s a legit agency but the policy is a scam, I would recommend individuals who are looking for a new apartment to make sure that the brokers don’t make you put anything down at first!

My daughter used Home Sweet Home to get an apartment in Mamaroneck. The office staff is very professional and helpful. Theresa is a doll. The agent worked very hard and showed her as many places as she wanted to see. He found her a really great apartment that she could never have gotten without him. The apartment is clean and attractive, it is a great neighborhood and the landlord is so sweet. We are so grateful to Home Sweet Home. I recently moved into a new apartment. This was able to happen because of Michael George at Home Sweet Home Properties. I had difficulty finding a place that met the needs of my family. Michael actually reach out to me after I had put in an inquiry about another apartment. We met up at his office 24hrs after speaking to him which was 48hrs after my inquiry for the apartment. I didnt like the first apartment, but Michael listen to me about what I was looking for. Within about 2 hrs of showing me the first apartment, he showed me a second one and I was sold. From looking at my apartment, completing the rental application, to getting the keys, it took about 1 week. Michael was on top of communicating everything from start to finish. There was a moment when I got a little impatient with getting the lease, but he was very reassuring and patient throughout. Although I had to pay a fee it was worth it because he got my family and I a place that we all love...not to mention our apartment is really spacious. My wife and I were excited to work with Home Sweet Home. They seemed attentive and very optimistic about getting us a place. Once we get there they stated that we needed to complete an application, do a credit check and oh 600 bucks which would go towards the realtors fee (all before even seeing a property). We trusted them, the manager Theresa was VERY adamant about us looking at a particular property and stated that she knew the landlord personally and that the place was ours. After we looked at the place, we loved it and they told us that we were approved. Then they came back and said that we needed to write a check for the security deposit and first months rent and sign a lease. It all happened really fast and we were shocked that we were approved so fast! Fast forward two days later, they told us that we were not approved. Wasted our time, took 80 bucks from our fee for their credit check fee and just didn’t seem to care. Our realtor was Mallory, she was sweet and new to the agency. We suggested that she find a real realtor agency towork for, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM!!!

I had a very disappointing experience with Home Sweet Home properties with 2 of their agents. My husband and I were looking for a rental. First we saw one property with Beverly who had not yet previewed the property or gathered much information on it, so she was unable to answer our questions like where a staircase from the kitchen led to or where the assigned parking spot was for the unit. After seeing this unit, Theresa Bruno-Spafford, who identified herself as the owner, said she would assign us with her top agent, Anthony. Over the phone, I confirmed an appointment time with Theresa that was 2 days away. I received 2 follow up emails confirming my appointment time and I exchanged text messages about the appointment time with Anthony. I asked a question about the property which he then answered. At the appointment time, we were running a few minutes late as I had left a work event early to go see this property. I sent my apologies via text and said we would be there in just a couple of minutes. My husband and I arrived at the property and Anthony was not there. We waited. It was 25 minutes after the confirmed appointment time and I texted him. He responded, Hi youre going to have to give me a little time I did not get a confirmation from you and made another appointment I will be there shortly thank you. I responded, I confirmed via phone w Theresa 2 days ago. What time do you think you will arrive? We waited some more. He then called me and said he would be another 10 minutes and I expressed my confusion again that I confirmed the appointment and received 2 confirmation emails. He proceeded to raise his voice at me and tell me that people dont show up all the time and Theresa had added this appointment to his calendar but he booked someone else at this time who had confirmed. I said we did confirm 2 days prior on the phone with Theresa. He then raised his voice at me and said he was the top agent at the company and that I had not confirmed and he would be there soon. I told him we were leaving and that I did not appreciate being yelled at while standing outside a property waiting for him to show up more than 30 minutes after a confirmed appointment time. I informed him that I would be posting reviews of this experience so that others dont have to endure the same disappointing service when trying to find their own homes. He replied via email that he did not appreciate being threatened. Not sure where the threat was. I said I would review my experience and here it is. I seriously discourage you from working with this agency and most specifically with Anthony. I am only selecting 1 star because I have to and Theresa was nice on the phone.

Kim was amazing!!! We called after having trouble finding a place on our own because of budget and need for a place for the fur babies. Other brokers blew us off. We only had one day being up from Florida. She took our parameters and found us a place in one morning -- from looking to signing! Best of all I can have my whole fur family in under one roof. Friendly, easy to work with the whole staff from owner to front office staff. Would work with them again and again.

Super sleazy: try to entice you into signing a strict contract (obligations to pay $600 fee) by inviting to stop by and fill out an application. Notoriously known for advertising apartments they have nothing to do with. Demand brokers fee for places that already pay their agent and do not require a fee from tenants. Avoid at all costs!

Absolutely terrible. Their enormous fees are ridiculous, and the properties they showed me didnt match at all what I told them I was looking for. They tried to persuade me several times to sign leases for properties I clearly didnt like, claiming I wouldnt find anything better. Eventually I got fed up and started searching on my own, and what do you know, less than two weeks later I found a wonderful property that fit all of my wants and needs, and to top it all off, THERE WAS NO BROKER FEE. I dont care how much free hot chocolate Home Sweet Home offers you in their office waiting room, dont waste your time with them.

At first they were nice, but when the whole process started she basically did what i couldve done on my own. When we got to the first rental she wasnt even there! We waited for 15 mins in the main entrance and called the agency again. They said her phone had died. Really??

Anthony was able to find me an affordable apartment for myself and my dog under a tight time limitations. I appreciate all of his work in finding me a place to call home.That said, I wish the experience could have felt a little more natural and less like a means to a broker fee. That would be my only complaint about the whole experience. Other than that, Anthony was very responsive to text messages, showed me 2 properties at my request at times that worked for me, and was able to get me an apartment w/ my dog with out an additional pet security deposit or additional rent for my dog. I couldnt have asked for a better end result.

I would have given 5 stars but Im not a fan of the tenant paying the realtor fee. But thats because Im the tenant. However, HSH Properties DOES have listings that other realtors dont have, which was a win for us! But the real gem was why Im writing this review-which I rarely do. Michael George. If I could give stars just for him, trust me, 5 wouldnt be enough. He is the real deal! He was attentive, but not pushy. He was genuinely interested in seeing all the details of the house as though he was renting it for himself! His people skills were such that l felt like we were viewing the house with a friend. I mean that in a good way. He made us feel comfortable and didnt rush us through. He was very thorough and took his time and made all the follow up calls that he assured us he would make. Ask for Michael George, you wont be disappointed!

This office continually places false ads to switch and bait. Ive asked them for a year to be ethical. Be very aware, when dealing with these people. The agents are nice - the false advertising is out of their hands - its the broker that refuses to be ethical. If you ever have trouble with a realtor - go to HGAR the local realty board and file a complaint. Call them and ask for help.

This place is awful! They charge you $600 upfront cash payment in order to make a verbal offer on a property which they claimed you will received back if you offer gets denied. Ive made an offer on a property of which two weeks I never received any feedback for almost a week. Two weeks later the broker contacted me and told me they wanted more paper work. Since i was working with other broker I told them i was no longer interest because they took to long to provide some feedback on the offer. I specifically made the broker aware of the fact that I was working with another broker and I needed to have an answer within five business if not i will need a refund so i can make an offer on other properties. She assured me that it would not be a problem. Now that I request a refund after a month has past and they have yet to find me a rental, they refuse to give me back my money. Please beware of there scam. I will never work with Home Sweet Home again!

This review is for Anthony Cecere. My wife and I want to thank you for your service. We just had a baby and needed a 2 bedroom in white plains. Anthony had a lot of listings that matched our 2300$ criteria. It’s best to use an agent because doing the process yourself is stressful and annoying. All the craigslist ads are slumlords and shady. But working for Anthony has been a breeze. We are going to stay here for a few years and then eventually buy our first home. And we will be using Anthony for our home search. I admire his straightforward personality he knows exactly what needs to be done in order for us to get approved. You are a great agent thank u again.

Please dont list your home with this company. I have contacted them several times regarding rental properties they have listed and have run into a wall every single time. On most occasions, no one ever response to my inquiry which is annoying.Most recently, I contacted them asking for more info/photos on a property and they refused to give it to me. When it was clear that I wasnt getting anywhere with the person in the office, I asked to speak with an agent. The agent was just as unhelpful as the rest of the staff.I asked for the address of the home that I was looking at so that I could learn about the neighborhood as I dont live anywhere near the area. The agent told me that he would not give it to me for fear that I will knock on the door and rent with out paying them a commission.They have themselves listed as relocation specialists yet are unwilling to help you unless you come into the office. Im not in the area and I am trying to find a property remotely so this is not an option. If you have a home listed with them and havent had any actively I would bet that they are ignoring your potential buyers/renters as they are ignoring me.Absolutely terrible service and I feel bad for anyone listing with them as I am sure you are not getting the level of service you deserve.

This was the 3rd agent Ive used since being in the Westchester area and I had a great experience as always.home not sweet homes offers a terrible agreement/contract - that no one else in this area has, and it is certainly not the standard. And posting information publicly about a potential client should be enough for anyone reading this to find a more professional company!!

Good Morning,My husband and I found Home Sweet Home Properties via a basic web search. We decided to utilize their services as new comers to the city. Please read below to see why we were not pleased with our agent. I am writing to follow-up on property # 5767 we have not had any feedback since 11/30/15 or so. We put in an offer on Saturday of that week is this property still available? My husband and I no longer wish to work with Anthony C based on the following unprofessional conduct observed:1. Little to no follow-up on properties we were interested in.2. Not following-up on all pet friendly properties acting as our agent. So in searching your site we found leads that were not followed.3. Inconsistent in showing us properties that met our needs or expectations. Stating at one point: I didnt want to show you this but you have two dogs.4. Very pushy with the paperwork concerning commission and pay out to the agent.5. Concerning the property in question the value fluctuated on the HSH website even as we put an offer in with the homeowner.The above conduct is conflicting with three of Home Sweet Home Properties core ethical principals.The above was sent to home sweet home properties owner for resolution and we still have not received any feedback.Ultimately we were just not pleased with the service received. We are not a couple of junk renters, quite the opposite, we are two U.S. Military veterans honorable discharged who are working hard to achieve personal and professional goals.* Listening to & understanding our clients needs for their most important purchase of a lifetime.* Communication with our clients on a regular basis to provide prompt ongoing service.* To go above & beyond our clients expectations with superior service at all times.We would appreciate your feedback on this matter.Respectfully,Steven S. Anthony was a phenomenal Realtor. Nothing was too much to ask for. He handled all the negotiations of our lease and even got us a price reduction on the rent.If your going to use home sweet home Realtors definitely ask for Anthony Cencere!!Great service and look forward to using him in the future.

Let me say after you sign and give them upfront fee, they will have power to rent you any kind of house...They are checking your back ground once, then building company checking your background too... taking $600 upfront, before showing houses, if you dont like the house they are not giving your money back, and this $600 chancges their attitude to you because they have your money which you would not take it back... They are making you sign a small paper that makes you cannot get any other their apt which they did not show to you and they have in their list; with out fee if you find those houses out of their advise... I worked with 2 agent because first person (John the Italian was explained everything, opened each door with me checked everything with me, told everything about owner(it was constructor company, told me anything about walls, he showed me two apt but i had to find less bedroom apt) deal did not worked with me then Worked with Anthony, he showed me apt did not tell me anything about it, did not tell me how big it is; just said me it is big... did not tell me the utilities till I ask, did not tell me there was a laundry, did not tell me parking is or is not included, he did not tell me anything about the house, he did not tell me the ceiling made out of wood and I can hear anything happen above me and they can hear low music... he was not know how much was parking, he did not show me where laundry is or there was a laundry in the building, Only he told me about the house this is a busy location and this apt is going fast in few hour I have another appointment, do you want it or not? And he did not give me any chance because they had my $600 which I cannot get back... in this way two bedroom apartment was $2000 (one parking garage, living room as big as my whole current studio), studio apt was $1400 (parking goes $100 to 150); he made me get studio (they were in same street one min each other)... Before working with these people find apt supers or owners and work with them because these guys doing ok with only for house owners... and their only job checking your credit score... I would not recommend anyone

Because in a short period of time they found me an apartment, not only in a quiet neighborhood but minutes away from work! Didnt think it was possible but they made it happen! I would highly recommend both Anthony Cecere & Adele because of their professionalism & hard work! Thanks guys!!

Awful. I tried to cancel an appointment with them due to the excessive broker fees, only to be told theyd be waived, and that theyd work something out with the landlord. When I arrived for the appointment (which I had been talked out of cancelling) I was asked to fill out and sign an agreement to give them an even LARGER brokers fee than the original one that had prompted me to cancel my meeting, completely revoking their promise, and convincing me to come to an appointment under false pretenses. Do business with these people at your own risk, everything about my experience with them set off alarm bells.

Its a hard, cold, ruthless world out there when it come to finding a new place to live especially from a homeless shelter. With all the scamming, unaffordable application fees, the foot search, the we have nothing available in that prices range or area the brokers that say they will find something but never call you back, the discrimination against rental assistance programs and disabled people etc etc....it was ugly out there!!! Just as I was about to give up hope I got in contact with a breath of fresh air by way of HSH Properties through Michael George. I responded to an ad on hotpads, Michael contracted me, listened intently to our needs and concerns & now only two weeks later-Moving Day has arrived!!! MIchael George put in work as if he knew us personally. He treated us like family. The first place he showed us wasnt suitable but he found us a beautiful place in a great neighborhood the next day! Transportation was an issue and he came and picked us up! He made no excuses and did not stop until a lease was signed! I cant thank you enough Michael George. You truly were the light at the end of our dark tunnel. Home Sweet Home Properties has a star on their hands with Mr. George! Im recommending him to anybody searching for a new home.

Michael thank you soooooooo much! Literally just met him on Monday, he showed me an apartment that i fell in love with and by Saturday i closed on it!!! He made the process soooo quick and easy. Thats a first for me. Usually apartment hunting is a nightmare but this experience was dreamlike. Im impressed. Go see Michael if you are looking for great apartments to rent. He will find it.

I would give no stars if possible but it’s not an option. Ok so first off the agent i was Given was a sweetheart and the this isn’t a bad review against him, his name was Rich i would Have given him any amount of money for commission he was very nice and listened. I was looking to move to westchester because my mother passed away earlier this month and that’s where she’s buried and i had Previously explained that before i came To HSWP i had Been looking for apartments on my own and i ews About to give up. Once i arrived this girl Chrissy or Christi not even sure because she didn’t even introduce herself at all pretty much said i was Wasting their time by doing apartment searching on my own and if my credit wasn’t good they could be helping other clients and pretty much threw me out. But when all reality she was just mad because the apartment i did apply for on my own was one of theirs so they couldn’t take credit for it if i was approved. As i said In the beginning moving to westchester is important to me and i currently live and drove two hours away from Mamaroneck where this office is located only to be treated less than and thrown out of the office pretty much is completely unacceptable.

I called after seeing an apt that they had JUST posted on Zillow. The pictures showed a vacant apt; however when I spoke with one of the agents, he said it was tenant occupied and that they have too many inquiries for this apartment so the application would have to be site unseen. What ever happened to first come first serve? you see the place you leave a deposit and apply?! Something is VERY fishy! seems like they are just looking to collect application fees (which I read is $600) and baiting people with false rentals! Beware!I also did a little research and learned the apartment they listed on Zillow was not even an actual listing of theirs. The apartment was in a complex, and the management company had no relationship with Home Sweet Home. It was just bait! There are many similar complaints on Yelp and Goggle - misrepresentation, false information and baiting people via zillow and trulia, using listing that they have no access to or are even actually available to lure customers! One of the agent has 608 available listings on zillow!! On yelp a previous client wrote how after posting a bad review for misrepresentation, they threaten them and said they knew people in the attorney generals office - hmmm, very professional.

I have had the most memorable experience with this company by way of Michael George. To be quite honest if it wasn’t for him this one would have been one in my pile of people not to call when I need assistance looking for a home for myself or my loved ones. Michael has now set the bar sooo high I pray he continues to do this for a long time. Michael went above and beyond to assist my parents in finding a suitable place for them to reside during a very delicate vulnerable time in their lives.
