Do not rent from this store!!!!!!!Service here is horrible. I rented a few trucks from the place with a couple of stories. The first being I rented a truck to find out it was at the back of the line of trucks. I went back inside to get keys to one that was in the front or have them move the others so that I could get out. They had no idea where the keys were to the truck!Story 2 one of the last trucks I rented had major damages that I did not notice until I arrived at my destination. (Silly me for not checking the inside like they ask you to). That being said it should also be the responsibility of the employees to check their trucks and also document with photos every time one is returned. Now I am on the hook for a large bill. Thinking that the company would care about its customers and look into who actually caused the damages. This is what I would do myself as an employee. Nope I was sent to the Boston Manager. Speaking with him he gave me confidence that he will look into the matter and handle it for me. I was able to sleep again. A couple months go by and now the manager will not take my calls or answer my messages. He has completely blown me off. I was in no way intrusive to him and always respectful. I will never rent from this U-Haul or any U-haul for that matter ever again. They have lost my trust. -5 stars.

Drew went over and above for me to make my experience so much better. I was originally scheduled to pick up my UHaul in Worcester, MA when that was all I could find available online. Drew made several calls and was able to get me a truck at a location within walking distance from my house. It saved me well over 2 hours and I am so grateful for his help. He even went and picked the truck up himself. He was so proactive and committed to ensuring I had a great customer experience. He is a wonderful example of an amazing UHaul employee.

They charged me 212.0 extra dollars on top of the 50 it was supposed to be, claiming that I drove 68 miles and I that I didnt left the gas required when I left even more gas than supposed and I drove less than 20 miles, very unprofessional and Im very angry

Long wait time due to understaffed. Self check-in doesnt work because the online reserved vehicle cant be accessed. There is only one staff in the office which has to handle all the check-ins and returns. Had to wait an hour and still hasnt gotten my vehicle.

Terrible, and be careful, you could be charged $25 cleaning fee even you clean the truck, without consent or acknowledgment. This is the only location where I experienced such criminal act of charging fees that I was not made aware of! I returned the clean truck even it was not clean when pick up at 2:29 PM but in receipt they put 6:44 PM. I requested to check the truck before I leave but she was acting like she is so busy while there is only one customer in the line. The frond door has Wear a mask sign but lady at the front desk has NO MASK. I call back to ask question about $25 fee but she was so RUDE to me and refused to explain. Worse experience in my life and I will never go back to this place.I recommend going to a different uhaul or another moving or storage company.

Rented a truck using the mobile app, the experience was pretty smooth. My only gripe was the length of the authentication process, at points I thought my phone was frozen but it really was just taking that long. But the truck was clean and well maintained. I love that a truck can be rented without ever speaking to a person, you just cant beat the convenience factor.

I’ve used Uhaul before multiple times by far THE WORST branch i’ve been to. the guy at he counter was in the bathroom for over 20 minutes and didn’t pick up the phone when i called before hand. they overcharged me +100$ of my actual bill. he didn’t check the car when i returned it amd said he’d email me the summary with the bill. never again. if i could give it a negative star i would!!!!!!!! avoid this branch at allllll cost!

Incredibly slow wait time (probably about an hour). Only one person working- he was doing his best, but there was a giant line, and people were waiting a minimum of an hour. Management should either have someone on call or have two people on shifts.

Everyone please, come down and see my friend Andrew Cherry. He is an expert at his job and will take care of you the whole way through! It was an absolute pleasure meeting Andrew, he went above and beyond his job duties to assist me and my friend early Tuesday morning on July 16, 2019. He was very patient with us and even offered us cold water after coming in from the hot summer sun. Andrew deserves great recognition as he performed his job with confidence and professionalism by not only making sure I the customer were 100% satisfied with our interaction but also with our rental.I definitely recommend this Uhaul location.Clean and well organized.

Worst U-Haul I’ve ever been to. I had trouble getting my keys and no one was in the store. I had to bang on the back door until someone came out. Once I finally got the keys the truck wouldn’t start so the guy had to give me a different truck that was supposed to be for someone else. Definitely not coming back to this location.

Saved $1,000 and 4 hours.Was planning a cross-state move. My initial plan was to just rent a truck from UHaul and move my stuff into a PODs container (couldnt have street delivery b/c covid). When chatting with one of the UHaul team members, Andrew, he was surprised by how much I was being charged by PODs so ran he ran quote that came back over $1,000 cheaper for UHauls POD-like option called U-Boxes. So I cancelled my PODs order and went w/UHaul for everything. Also since this facility was right next to where I live I only had to drive 5 min instead of 30 min to the PODs location.Even after I committed to using UHaul, the team, and especially Andrew, continued to go the extra mile to make my moving process easier, paying attention to the small details (like putting the pods containers right next to my moving truck, setting me up w/furniture blankets, offering to help unload the heavy items, turning the lights on in my moving truck, etc.).Overall a great experience that made my life easier. Highly recommend! Thanks to the entire team for making my move easier!

This U-Haul is the worst in entire USA, they charged me 1 full day for 1 hr late return. Although one associate told me via phone I can return by 5 pm without paying a fine. It’s manager and other associate was shouting at me using slang words and told me they want to charge me more for cleaning and others too. Not a professional customer helpful based U-Haul. It’s GM was talking over phone and acting like they are thugs, and we are nobody. Never ever go to this location because they are not a good u-hauler. Do not recommend to any of my friends and relatives to go there.

Ordered a hitch installation a month ago, moved my appointment many times without to send me any text or mail, called to have information nobody answers, the manager received mails and text he never answered, at the end I had to cancel it because to tired to hear the same thing since one month. UPDATED:Ive been trying to get a partial refund from this office from a truck rental where the milage was messed up (I actually drove 10 miles and my bill said I drove 250 miles), and it has been a nightmare. First, I was denied the refund without being notified, I had to call U haul customer service to discover this. Then, I called the manager, Luis Cardona Jr., to ask him to call me to discuss the case, which he never did, and instead gave me a refund for $15 (I am owed closer to $290). Now, I have tried to call AGAIN to get this money back, but he continues to refuse to call!Update = I have finally gotten in touch with Luis and he did refund me the amount I was owed. Unnecessarily long and difficult process, but Im grateful for the money back!

The manager here always worked with my employers terrible renting habits, which made things easier for me. The only time Ive had to wait was for the computer systems being down. Always received a clean van so I always mopped it down for them on return. I could see how the managers old school demeanor could rub certain people the wrong way. The manager and two other guys I usually worked with were polite to me.

We got our truck at this location because our original location we booked at (month in advance), was not helpful and didn’t have it because “online reservations don’t matter.”When we got our truck, the gas was only half way instead of the amount he told us. We told him about it and he said to bring it back half way and that he would take care of it. We get back to our place to start loading and he never gave us the dolly he said he would grab for us. So we had to drive al the way back to pick it up.Next day we come back to drop it off and the guy at the counter was very rude and lazy, he was eating food and didn’t even take a pause to say hello or anything. He continued eating and talking to us. We then told him about the gas and he stated “no I know him, he would have written it down” as if we were lying about the gas. It was extremely insulting and disrespectful to say what he did. Maybe the staff should do what they need to and not accuse their customers. We are not happy and do not plan to use UHAUL anymore. There is always something wrong w their staff, they clearly don’t do their interviews well.

If I could give zero (0) stars I would. The Uhaul website said that they had the proper hitch in stock for pick up / installation. Since websites can sometimes be wrong I chose to call ahead to verify its availability instead of making the 30 min trip for nothing. I sat on hold for 35 mins waiting for someone to take the call, when ‘Felicia’ finally answered I asked to verify the availability for pick up, I was put on hold again for another 30+ minutes which automatically transferred to Uhaul’s national call center. I explained what I needed, the call agent tried to contact the Malden Uhaul; store number 837041 at 420 Eastern Ave, a half dozen times with no luck. Drove to Malden, they didn’t have the hitch but did have bike racks. Was told that the Cambridge store had a hitch and the same show room of bike racks that Malden did. 40 minute drive to Cambridge, they had the hitch, but not a single bike rack. Purchased hitch, then drove the 40 minutes back to Malden. When I approached the counter person about the snafu, he said he didn’t help me last time and announced to entire store, in front of numerous customers that he, “I’m so done with today. I’m is so done with annoying customers.” I asked if he sells bike racks, he then kicks his chair against wall. I presume his shift manager then asks, “is everything alright,” he screams that, “Look I slipped on water, don’t you see the f$&@ing water!!” He then storms out of the show room. The shift manager does eventually help me and sells the bike rack. I get home and it is missing critical parts. (e.g. the locking security pin for the draw bar and the rubber bike retaining straps splitting due to age.) As a 24 year military veteran I have utilized Uhaul many, many times over the years for renting trucks, trailers, hitches, and obtaining moving supplies. In all my years I have NEVER been party to to such an egregious show of outright threatening acts by employees, complete LACK of customer service, and purchase of incomplete products. This is absolutely OUTRAGEOUS! As a customer based company your HQ, the GM, and any would be customer needs to realize that if you go to this location you will receive Sub-Par everything as long as these employees occupy the store’s billets. Customers be very aware, the Malden store # 837041 on 427 Eastern Ave will give you painfully long wait times, bad information, threatening actions if you annoy them with basic real world questions, and incomplete products. Note to the store’s GM, I have taken over units like this, the only way to root out the toxic staffing is to remove everyone with the toxic attitude..... In the case of store # 837041, that is a complete replacement of staff. These people are doing you no favors, nor are they abiding by Uhaul national’s standards of behavior for their company. For the potential customer, go to any of the other Uhaul locations in this area. Avoid this place like the plague until the GM can replace the staff members with someone better than a clod of,,, well,,, dirt.

The manager was very rude to us. We tried to reschedule our U-Box pickup from this location 1 day sooner. I called their office twice to make sure that they are open ad to inform them that my moving help will be picking up our box at a given time but their employees didnt inform us that we need to call U-Haul Call Center and reschedule it. When our moving help arrived at their location to pick up our box, the manager was not only rude to them, he even called me and told me that he cannot do it. I told him that I called his office twice about this and his employees said that it was ok.He then proceeded to make my moving help wait for an hour to do the needful. The managers approach to this incident was disappointing and unprofessional. I will certainly not recommend this place.

AVOID THIS PLACE!!!! Worst Customer service, the truck was dirty and I had to clean it before I could use it, also the miles and fuel were wrong on the estimate contract and they tried to charge two extra days... have to make several calls and they returned the rental fee but forgot to return the insurance then finally returned the insurance but charged a cleaning fee when I returned the truck cleaner than I got it.
