I lived in this complex almost 3 years. Prior to COVID I had blemish free rental history. Due COVID-19, I moved out rather than stay there an accumulate a larger balance. I miss rent for October and moved mid October. The excess charges they added on to my bill was ridiculous. The debt was sent to a debt collector and by December it was on credit report very unprofessional. I want people to understand hardships do come, but this company doesn’t believe in the.

I enjoyed living in Northwood apartments, I resided there for 3yrs! The front office staff was great and friendly. The maintenance crew was great as well, they were quick to respond to request, helpful and friendly. I am grateful for the time I lived in Northwood apartments.

I moved in mid July this year. And my experience has been great by far. I feel very safe. I have left my door unlocked at times and nobody has came in. My apartment is perfect. The maintenance are very helpful and sweet. On top of I just had a birthday and the staff left a card on my door wishing me a great day. I have absolutely no complaints. I love it here at Northwood Apartments.

Apparently my review was removed…. But because I’ve been asked about my opinion on this property several times, I always say “read the reviews”… not surprised mines was deleted.👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾I want to start off with the pros so it doesn’t seem as if I’m bad mouthing the place. The good thing about this apartment is the space and location. Okay now to the cons. (1) When I initially toured the property and discussed pricing the only information that was presented to me was the base rent & water. When it was time for me to sign my lease, (meaning application and security deposits were paid, its 🔑 time) the monthly price was well over what I expected. There were additional fees (hidden) and I say hidden because it was not discussed during the process of applying. The additional fees were Pest control 12.50 (cannot opt out) Trash for the community $9.00 (you dump your OWN trash, there is no door trash service) Sewer & water has a separate fee $$$, There is a service fee $6.50 (for them to email you your monthly charges (cannot OPT out) So that was upsetting and it questions their integrity. When you tour a property and you ask “what’s included and NOT included?” Discussing prices I expect to be privy to the details of WHAT IM PAYING FOR. Not surprised the day of lease signing. (2) my unit had way too many Maintenance issues. Within 6 months of being here I’ve already had over 10 work orders, and they aren’t minor work orders. Microwave blew out, the water heater leaked, tub started peeling up. Showing the previous resident stains. Toilet leakage, My window screens are damaged (holes) and cannot be replaced, staff stated “no budget”. Kitchen faucet broke off... that’s just the half. all of this within 1st 90days. Now I can say maintenance is always pleasant and on time. (3) But the office staff is undoubtedly phony. Pleasant in your face but talk smack about you when you leave. (I won’t disclose how I know), but tip to staff, be careful who you “vent” to even if they do work with you. (4) The amenities (pool specifically) never opened ALL 2020. Even though there’s a pandemic. For the amount we’re paying I expect a safety solution in place to give residence access to ALL the amenities. If 1 person in gym and 1 person in laundry room can be implemented so can 1 UNIT per pool (by appointments). I believe they are just lazy and not want to deal with the community more than they have to. Overall I give the property a 1 star for up-keeping on the lawn care and the unit is spacious. Prospect renter Tip: Before you apply for the unit make sure you ask ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL FEES other than rent, water and renters insurance.

I have lived at Northwood Apartment Homes for almost 11 years and I LOVE it. Great staff...office, maintenance, support...all wonderful. Beautiful surroundings and property. They work VERY hard at keeping things at a high level and do a great job. It is the best place I have ever lived.

The apartments are decent in size. The maintenance is AMAZING & super quick. The only reason I rate it so low is because of the office staff. Monte was sent a photo from our apartment of another dog using the restroom right outside our windows because our apartment had been receiving complaints saying we were the issue. Well we finally caught who was doing it & instead of being professional & keeping it confidential between renters. She showed the other person the photo and said who it was from. The other renter then confronted us in the parking lot and was so nasty. Monte was not professional at all & we moved solely for the purpose of better staff in the office.

The Staff is so helpful. Maintenance has always handled any issue I have quickly and effectively.This is a great neighborhood to live. I have enjoyed living here the over the last 4 years. The maintenance staff and office staff are wonderful. I have enjoyed living here very much. Great place to live!!

Lived there for two years, moved out due to family emergency and now moving back! Management now is amazing and sizes of the apt are ridiculously good! Easy access to anywhere on the north side of Macon shopping and eateries! Love love love these apts!!!!! Clean and always prompt with any issues!

As far as safety Im feeling comfortable, they just put new flooring and carpet in our home and it looks really nice! Beautiful community and very clean. But maintenance is terrible. One person was out for surgery and they didnt have any backup. My maintenance issues may not be as serious as plumbing/leaks, but it would be nice to have a closet shelf and a working kitchen light. If its common for maintenance requests to get backed up, management should at least invest in more staff for maintenance, especially for the $1030 were paying.

Car got broken in to for the 3rd time since we moved in. Whoever breaks in to the cars likes to let you know they did it to. Left the trunk open doors open glove box and arm rest open Only been here 11 months. Glad our lease is up this month.

I walked in on 9/21/2018 to view the 3-bedroom apartment that is available. I found the ad on Craigslist and figured since I’m out search I’d stop by and view the apartment. (Never called, never heard of this complex). Upon walking in I was approached by a lady with red hair (dyed) whom stated the apartment was available. She welcomed me into her office. The ad I seen said $910/month. She claims the rental rates change daily and today it was $940/mo followed behind she explained rental utilities runs around $125/mo. I told her I’d like to view the apartment and speak with my spouse on this apartment before determining the amount. she stated she needs both our “IDs.” I said, your not going to show us the home? She said, “no that’s not how we do business.” RED FLAG.Despite this being a RED flag I still went to obtain our IDs, discovered I left mine in the other vehicle but we had my spouses, I went in and offered to leave my debit card with his ID she IMMEDIATELY said, “well you can’t see the apartment!” So I said thank you have a wonderful day. As I’m walking out she hollars, “ma’am take this with you!” (It was the business card and application. I immediately replied, “you can keep that I won’t be needing it.”This is all I needed to see at the front door. GLAD I did. How disturbing that people who actually live here have to deal with such rudeness, disrespect, and a very unprofessional environment.After reading the reviews and experiencing this ID rather rate this a 0-star facilities than a 1-star.

Living here is okay, Ill be here another 5 months before my lease is up. Staff is friendly, apartment is nice, although for some time the entire building experienced an ant problem. That went away in a month or two. Then came the silverfish, but not nearly as bad as the ants. I may spot one now and then. My concern happened when I placed an order to have the garage Im renting cleaned out. There were plugins extension cords etc hanging from the ceiling. They said they would take care of it, a few days later as I was raising the door to the garage I notice paint chips in the roof of my car where they had did the work I requested. I figured Id do a walkaround to see if there were any more paint when I noticed a fairly large dent in my roof. Upset, I took pictures and even drove to the front and showed them. They denied, and denied again. Ive had to deal with it, I didnt feeling going through the legal process. Im almost done with my lease and Im gone. I try to not have maintenance do anything, Im a mechanic, I know how to do the work. However. I havent had to do much. Im disappointed with the way they handled my concern, although there are allot of negative reviews I gave this place a shot and something ended up happening..... Good luck future tenant!

Office does not address issues in a timely manner and good luck getting them to answer the phone. Half the time when you try to go to the office in person the doors are locked and sign says closed even though its during their open hours. Rent increases significantly and no added ameninites. Pool is always CLOSED. Takes forever to address maintenance issues, loud neighbors with loud music...smoking pot all the time- cant go outside without smelling it. People allowed to keep their large dogs outside on a small concrete patio 24/7 and never be walked. People allowed to park in handicap spots for days straight. Office staff constantly changes and are always incompetent. Do not move here.

The office manager Angela Maples will make false statements about residents and when she is called out about being a blatant liar she will say she didn’t mean it like that. I had to reach out to her area manager Cameron because my family was being harassed by Angela. I’m seriously thinking about filing a discrimination complaint with HUD. Not only that all of the appliances are outdated, maintenance is a joke, the courtesy officer sits in the office all day doing nothing.

Please dont ever rent from this slum.I have been here for a year. My car got broken into. My apartment got broken into last night and they stole my tv, laptop and camera. The staff is unprofessional, uncaring and they are basically a bunch of little girls in their early 20s that think its a fashion show.When I put in maintenance requests, it takes them a week to respond. I have to call and yell at them to get them to do anything. When they do come out, they half way fix the problem and then leave. I pay my rent early every month and they tried to raise it by $40 a month to stay for another year.The residents are low class and sit on their back porches doing drugs etc.. right in front of their children. If you have kids and dont want them exposed to that type of thing, please stay away.

They are trying. I have lived here for a few years. I had a better rating up and decided to change it. I typically have had no problems and when I did, it was solved. I had what I considered to be a maintenance emergency on a weekend day. According to policy it wasnt emergency enough for them. Even though my floors were soaked in water. The maintenance staff said, im not coming to clean up your mess and said I could pay $75 for a weekend request or wait until Monday. I chose the $75. I cleaned it up myself. When I tried to contact back they never called or responded to me. And just the attitude and remarks made it very difficult to feel good about the way things are done here. I didnt mean to interrupt the weekend of the maintenance worker. I needed help. Why pay $1000 for rent and not be able to get help without the attitude or negative remarks.

Been living here a year, a “pest control” man Came out and said that my apartment had sworming termites and that he fixed the issue . 24hrs later my kitchen is full of what he called termites . I called Maintance they came out and said it was “ANTS” . The maintenance people came and looked around and seen a big ass ant bed under my air conditioning unit WHICH IS OLD because it broke down 3 times in one year and is now broke again because they don’t want to replace it. They expect me to live in a TERMITE / ANT INFESTED home. With me living on the bottom floor you would think it would be automatic pest control monthly Bc of ant beds and everything. Oh yeah let’s not forget the 30 SCORPIONS I killed in 2017. What’s the point of paying 1000.00 a month to live in uncomfortable situations.
