You really must question the morality of the individuals employed by this company. Upon move in, many repairs to the house were requested that have yet to be attempted. The individual who was renting the house prior to my family notified us that repairs were never completed when requested resulting in him relocating. A year later, the house was damaged by flooding during hurricane Florence. No repairs were even attempted after submitting relentless written requests for repairs. After living in substandard dangerous conditions due to black mold for approximately 8 weeks and dangerous conditions due to carbon monoxide for several months, we are being kicked out. The management team waited until the day my lease expired to notify my husband verbally that we had 30 days to move out. The reason given for this was extensive damage expenses and the dangers associated with mold. Had they been upfront, we could have prepared for the situation. However, they chose to be deceitful and wait until right before Thanksgiving to make someone move. With no regard for the well being of others, this company knowingly allowed us to live in a home that is dangerous due to mold and carbon monoxide. With no regard for others, they allowed the situation to continue with the promise of repairs. With no regard to others, they chose to be unethical and lie about repairs. Please do not rent the house located on 19th Street. The heating unit emits dangerous levels of carbon monoxide and the air ducts are full of black mold.
