Nice facility with lots of space and nicer nice new equipment. Pool is an older facility with an air bubble but still works really well for practices and working out.
A bit crowded but good collection of machines. There are basket ball court, pool, gym, boxing etc. Massage for $45 for students.
Its big, has a lot of equipment intramural sports and clubs. Its great
Wish I could be here more often and I wish it was open 24 hours but it’s a great place with a ton of amenities.
Great place to work out! It can get packed at times, when it’s the beginning of the semester, but you just can’t beat the lazy river/pool (hopefully it opens soon) and the huge variety of gym equipment!
Not the safest bet during COVID-19, make are required, but it’s always packed. The rec is literally so nice inside and it is HUGE. I love the rec center, and it’s by far my favorite place to workout. It’s also just fun to go and play ping pong or Racket Ball or rock climb or whatever you do.
Best gym in town. No question.
Amazing, clean and so organized
It’s my favorite place to workout. I made the mistake one day to go workout when I hadn’t eaten all day and I almost passed out when they were about to close. The workers were very helpful and gave me everything I needed to feel better. They were super sweet and nice and I couldn’t have asked for better people to help me out when this happened to me.
Disneyland for the fun 🤩 college students
Good amenities and good service even though covid, including a great rock wall
Reasonable price, excellent facilities and equipment, and with the pandemic, small crowds! Win win win!
Good ol Tech Rec 😌🏋🏽
Its surprising how many students arent aware of the services offered to them that they are already paying for here.
Best swimming pool and rec center in town. While it is primarily for students you can check online and find family hours to bring everyone one with. There is $10 per person fee.
Attended a pool party at the leisure pool. A storm blew in and they opened up the indoor pool so the party could continue. Attentive lifeguards that rotate often. My kids took swim lessons at the leisure pool several years ago and I was always impressed with the instructors and the lifeguards.
Best place to workout in a university environment. Climbing wall, track, basketball, swimming pool and hot tub, the lazy river, several areas for free weights, treadmills, elliptical machines, indoor hockey area.
Facility is great and offers lots of activities. Exercise machines are high quality. Most equipment can be checked out from the service desk or purchased, so all I have to bring is a bottle for my water.
Kool place
There is no better place in any college for rec pool. Its amazing that we get to share it with the university during summer months
Pretty sure that wasnt a leaf floating in the pool. One of the better college pools Ive been to.
The air conditioning is fantastic, its not all hot and stuffy. Theres a good number of machines.
Really enjoy the family hours at the leisure pool. Worth remembering that this is Lubbock (i.e. strong winds happen) Tables with umbrellas can tip over. We had an accident where that caused a food container to spill over. Thankfully the staff was able to help us clean it up.Thanks TTU Rec Center Staff!!!
Great place! Loved the lazy river. Easy to stay all day. People are friendly and staff is curteous.
Has a very extensive collection of free weights, and (clean, new) machines. This place is huge. There are like 8 (I think) basketball courts too.
Good place for a casual workout but... They just got a bunch of nice wooden platforms with rubber landing mats, kilogram bumper plates, and decent barbells. And yet with equipment specifically designed for olympic weightlifting movements, you arent allowed to drop the weights in that area. I wouldve liked to come here to train and use the equipment for what it was designed for....
Hugh place with only two toilets?!? Nice facility
Best rec center have ever seen on a college campus. Huge Rockwall tons of basketball courts tons of exercise equipment. Have the best Leisure Pool in the country. Has a lazy river tons of outdoor options. All of the rec fields are artificial turf theyre always in great
Best place to swim in Lubbock! The lazy river is so great
This would have been higher if not for the lousy hours of business (and especially the confusing family time). Other than that, though, the lazy river is a very fun experience!
This Center is open to buy passes but is automatically charged for undergraduate students it is a nice place that usually has quite a few people and some very fun classes that come with the base cost and some you can pay more for and the pool outside is great for young ones and there are also lap pools 4 people wanting exercise I definitely recommend this place as your main gym
Great place to workout! Every weight and machine I need so I can be mad extra
Excellent place for students and relatives, especially in Summer.
Great place but the vending machines on the second floor need to be repaired/removed. Probably wasted $10 so far on them. Otherwise its a great place.
Best option if you want options.
All activities in one stop.
Great for Tech students, the rec center pretty much has everything including a place to borrow equipment. The gym has a pretty wide variety of machines.
Great facility. Has what you need for a good workout!
Really great facility, but a little too small for Techs growing size.
Lots of equipment, indoor track, and leisure pools are all amazing.
Good gym but worst place to be when its crowded
Good gym; can become crowded at times during the school semester
Best place to work out. It has ping pong, basket ball, racket ball, squash, badminton, soccer and more!
Great facilities! Especially in summer with no one here
Best gym ever
Beautiful people everywhere
Constantly overcrowded. If youre serious about working out, consider a membership at one of the other gyms in town.
Could use some upgrades in free and machine weight rooms. With the increase in students its usually gets packed during peak hours.
Love the place.
Closed due to Covid19
Great place for a workout or relaxing by the pool.
Needs a facelift into this century.
Nice pool but it is too expensive
Crowded a lot of the day but has every piece of equipment you could need
Amazing rec facility with a climbing wall, indoor pool, outdoor pool, lazy river, and more.

Very clean building, with tons of equipment and activities.
Awesome
Best place for the workout, for students it free
Tons of activites
Really packed
