Overall the gyms okay at best, it closes early and even earlier on weekends. They also cut off the extra amenities before close, guess it’s too much work to stay 10 min later than close even when you’re closing early 🤣 your contract binds you for a year and you have to pay nearly a $100 to get out of it. Go to Crunch 👊🏽 instead, your money is better off elsewhere.

They are thieves, they take money from my card every week and now it is daily and I no longer put money there, but they overload my card when they want.I tried to talk about what was happening and they told me there was nothing they could do that I had to talk to the manager and what a coincidence that he is never available to talk about it I am very upset

Great facilities with excellent staff. Clean and spacious and lots of people. I appreciate having a place to be around other people, and I am determined to get in the best shape of my life. Or close enough anyway!

Very nice! They have very new equipment. The place is clean. The crew is friendly. Its not overcrowded.And I really appreciate that the bathrooms dont have motion sensors. My last gym had motion sensors and they were out of order more often than not. Not to mention they always turned on or off when you least needed them to.

When i first signed up i was given a free t shirt for joining, and everytime i come in i am greeted with pleasure, as well as all the staff are very helpful. Its a very non judgement zone and very free to workout as u please. No complaints from me.

Gym has always been clean. Friendly staff. I cant believe how easy they are to work with. I had to cancel my membership because we moved and they were so easy to work with! Ive cancelled at other gums before and it was awful trying to fight to end the membership but plant fitness was great!

Been going here for several years without too much of a problem. It’s a nice gym with plenty to do, however it was much more accessible back when it was open 24 hours. Now it gets pretty crowded due to limited hours plus it’s hard for people who work all day to get in for a workout. Staff is pretty good and I’ve never had any issues with any other gym goers. Communication is a little shoddy although I can understand being closed for weather damage.Overall, nice gym, worth the money, but I guess I missed something when they cut down to 5am-10pm. Maybe covid related?

There are bigger places with more options of work out equipment and others places have way better hours....planet fitness still closes at 10pm

One of the best gyms in Lubbock despite the Planet Fitness stigma. The staff is all extremely knowledgeable and courteous to members and they help with whatever they can. The specific location also was awarded cleanest gym in Lubbock on multiple occasions. The only downside is they dont have a free weight squat rack, but besides that everything else is going to be the exact same thing that you would find it any other gym. Get the main thing that sets them apart is their amazing customer service and management team.

This is by far my favorite gym in Lubbock! I’m a student at Texas Tech and find the rec to be too crowded so I’ve bounced around a couple different gyms and finally ended up here. The entire facility is incredibly clean and staff is constantly walking around disinfecting the machines and refilling sanitation stations. The mask policy is also strictly enforced by staff and they truly do their best to get everyone to adhere to it.I’m very impressed by the amount of machines available and the 30-minute circuit area— I’ve never seen this in a gym before and it’s a great option for beginners who need a little guidance on what to do, or even advanced gym-goers who want a quick, balanced workout.For black-card members (which I strongly recommend), there are also tanning beds, hydro massage beds, massage chairs, and total-body enhancement machines available— all of which I use frequently and really take my experience here to the next level.Overall, this gym is a fantastic club to be a part of. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the gym is clean and totally judgement-free, and every visit I have taken here has been exceptional.

At this point the only concern that I have confronted with this gym is the lack of communication and reliability. During the substandard weather conditions, I received a text providing me with the information that the location would be closed. Afterwards didnt received if the location would be closed, Google maps shows temporary closed. Now, as you go to the location it shows a sign posted in the front door the reason the location is closed. Would be appreciated to find out the estimated time on when would it be open an operating again, it might be satisfactory to some clients as for others our fitness life its essential. Its been a week and no information on when the location will be up and ready for business, I can assure you that they might be a loss of clients if they persist with lack of communication and reliabilityI have cancelled my account, after being charge the annual fee of $44 plus cancellation fee of $58. While waiting for your associates to get this done because your awesome system crashed, thats the reality right there besides other issues. In the last month Ive paid the monthly fee that I didnt even utilized the gym due to the weather and damages that the building was confronting, and Im being hold accountable for your problems. As a business this is not the way to be responsible for the actions that are out of the consumer hands. More than $120 went to your gym, at this point I do not appreciate the way the business is done and I can assure you that I will not recommend your gym to anyone in the future.

Planet Fitness Is a great place to workout. It is clean and sanitized

So, the Lubbock location has been closed all week. Their phone message said, ..due to inclimate weather....... Are they on vacation, or is there another reason? Id like to be able to use the facilities I pay to use.

Big and clean facilities, helpful and attentive personal, and not too busy at certain hours. One of its main attractive for me is that its open 24 hours regularly.

Does anyone know when this place is opening back up i mean if i had a time frame that would be great or is this something i should just assume its not going to open anytime soon and just get another gym membership??

Went in today to cancel haven’t been to the gym since the start of this Paramedic started and explained that I would need to cancel due financial hardship and was told I pay 58 dollars to cancel or cancel after my membership of 24 dollars is taken out and when I explain that I can’t afford pay for my membership was told that there was nothing they can do and if I wanted new badge card so I use the gym well I told him the hour of operation are working with my work schedule since gym not open 24hrs any more was told to come back after membership is taken out of my account and cancel. Like what kind of customer service is this !!!

I love the facility, I just wish they were back to 24 hours, cause around 5am & 7pm on weekdays its almost impossible to social distance, because everyone has had to cram into these time frames to fit their schedule.

Lacks just about everything. If they aren’t going to be open they could atleast communicate with members and the least let them know what’s going on or an eta of the reopening after the bad weather. do we need to cancel our membership OR ARE YALL CHARGING US STILL IF YALL ARENT EVEN OPEN? Give someone atleast a little bit of information. The no communication is making me uneasy about the whole gym and am planning to go to my bank to cancel them since I can’t even call and talk to someone if I don’t even get any information soon

I workout here almost every day and the consistency in cleanliness should be heavily commended. Equipment maintenance is also top notch. Customer service is merely average and could be improved.

Basically a covid factory. No one wearing masks once inside besides staff. I travel all over and use many different PF locations and this one by far was the worst. I know its the ppl not the club but clearly no enforcement whatsoever. I left very shortly after arriving. Its no wonder covid is spreading like wild fire in west Texas

Very clean gym, professional people, only complaint is the current hours of operation. Recently traveled to several other larger and smaller cities here in Texas such as Fort Worth and enis planet fitness gyms which are 24 hrs.

I travel all over the country. PF has always met my needs for physical fitness. This one in Lubbock was clean, not to crowded(I came in an hour prior to closing), and easy to find. I’ll keep coming to my planet fitness.

I contacted to end my membership and it never happened until I went there in person. I was also charged on they same day with no refund from the cancelation. Do not, I repeat DO NOT sign up for this gym if you want good customer support and knowing your money is being well spent.

It has all the equipment and free weights you need. No one judges you. They keep the equipment clean. Plus they have tanning beds, massage chairs, hydro massage chairs. The people are very nice and helpful.

Love doing my own thing at the gym and I can do that at Planet Fitness. I work at an in Bound call center in Lubbock and I really like the solitude I get when I am there. I have the Black card and after my workout I sit in the massage chair and the hydro bed to relax and end the day. With the Black card I do that as many times as I want. It is worth the extra money!

I just called to get an explanation of the charges taken from my bank account because they did not match what I was told when I signed up. The gentleman was kind and explained it to me.

My son loved the idea of being able to sign up for the teen summer challenge for free. He says everyone is great, no pressure from staff. Everyone does their own thing. No gym shaming like other places in town.

I love coming to this gym! But recently the staff have been overwhelmingly rude and have acted in a very unprofessional manner . More specifically the heavy set girl on the left and older bald man to her side, I was yelled at and mistreated for using the wifi instead of working out. I pay for the membership! Why is internet use without working out an issue? I was using an unoccupied tanning room and instead of asking politely to leave the room so other people can use the tanning rooms (no one was using any of the 8 tanning rooms) I was yelled at and talked down to. Even threatened to be kicked out. This behavior is despicable, where is common courtesy? Im so disgusted Im cancelling my years long membership. I urge the public to take care of themselves and not to be mistreated, Planet Fitness is Public Bullying at its worse.

Crew and members always take care of business and sanitize the equipment. The location in Lubbock is a good size and I felt comfortable working out with how they have things set up for social distancing.

They can’t or won’t stay open . No need in having a membership if you can’t go .

Terrible customer service Ill be glad to start a membership somewhere else asap! when i signed up i was told i could cancel at anytime. i have been charged all last year even when gyms were shut down for covid. gym manager refused to refund any membership fees even durring closures. terrible service and borferline fraud.UPDATE: even after my attempted cancelation this scam gym still is charging me and renewed my membership with a yearly charge again! Contacting my bank to change my info. Such a headache over a terrible gym with lousy customer service.

I enjoy being a black card member at Planet Fitness. I can feel confident to workout by myself without the added pressure of feeling judged. They also have a variety of different equipment and many to use so the wait is never long. One suggestion I would make is to expand the mat area.

Planet Fitness is a great place to go work out. I like that yall provide a variety of equipment to use. And that on most every piece it describes how to use it and what it does for which part of the body. Plenty of choices to choose from. The facility is clean as well as equipment. All the staff are friendly and there to help you with any questions you have. You also earn points along the way that you can use for refreshments or t shirts, gym bags etc. I like the $10 a month, small price to pay for a great place to get healthy. I recently joined Planet Fitness and made an appointment with Richard Dragon to set up a personal fitness program designed for me and tailored for my goals. I am very impressed with Richard and I am glad I am working with him!

They are open 24/7 making it convenient for anyone to use. Price of plans are very reasonable. Employees are very helpful. I use my membership as a way to do physical therapy by walking on the treadmill & I never have had to wait for one. Also the facility is always clean.

I honestly love the Black Card features. After my long day at work I love to enjoy a massage. I just pop in real quick and take the stress off. I have really enjoyed the circuit training for my workout, fast and focused keeps me on track. the Staff is very helpful and always available.

I love the gym! It is a great facility and my fiancé and I get to work out together. The staff are very helpful and courteous and professional. I would recommend this facility to everyone I know! And there are no hidden fees like some people say, they explain in detail what to expect up front and I like that about them! Plus the unlimited tanning and massaging chairs and beds are awesome! I love the fact that I designed my own workout and they actually listened to me about what I needed and wanted to work on!

Terrible customer service I was charged and they have been closed over a week then they tell you contact customer service but there is actually no customer service they refer you back to the club which is closed now I have to pay for this membership and now how to pay another gym to work out, then they reply with an automated message

So, like every gym, they screw you left and right on fees but on top of that, every employee tells you a different story and no one does anything they say they will. So I asked for the owners name and number and was transferred to him. He is the worst example of a human, let alone a business owner. Not only didnt he let me speak, he talked over me the ENTIRE TIME and laughed at me. Then, when I got furious and started yelling and cussing because he continuously pushed me by laughing, interrupting and ignoring me, he hangs up on me. So I call back even more livid and he instantly begins yelling at me like hes an abusive boyfriend, telling me hes not going to help me if I maintain that attitude. First of all, he wasnt helping me when I wasnt pissed so thats no surprise. Second, youre stealing my money and lying to me so, if you dont listen, my lawyer will get your attention. Finally, he tells me that he knows his employees dont know whats going on and theyre working on it. Classy. Im pissed, yes. Im sure others enjoy it like I did until I needed to end my membership. This person who owns this planet fitness needs to be out of a job and fast. Im working on that because I dont think anyone should experience what Ive experienced during the past 4 months of trying to end my membership. Im not going to pay some losers bills while he yells at me in an abusive manner. I literally felt threatened. Im a business owner and I dont screw people over for one, but I sure as hell dont yell at them or laugh until they become infuriated. Talk about the ultimate trash. He also refused to give me his name. Nice.

I also like the variety of machines that are available and even if it is very busy, there is always something I can work on. Planet Fitness is a great place to work out. The atmosphere and staff make it a pleasant place to work out. You can do your own thing or they have people who can help you out. The dressing facilities are always nice and you can even check in using your phone. 24/7 hours come in handy if you have to work late, or go in early, there is always a good time to get in a workout so no excuses. My husband and I have been members for a while, he even got a free month with the points you get for working out. Planet Fitness works for anyone!

I love this gym! There are a variety of exercise equipment that help with exercising. You can ask an employee for help with a machine or anything else that confuses you. The locker room, showers, and bathroom stalls are always clean. There are stations with disinfectant and paper towels everywhere, which I appreciate as someone who doesnt like sweat stains on my exercise equipment. Plus there are first come first serve classes for certain areas of the body a person wants to improve lead by a trainer. Also, you can schedule an appointment with a trainer to tailor an exercise program to you but they give you freedom to change it if you wish. The overall goal is to get a person to exercise.

Gym is ALWAYS clean. The staff is always friendly and will chat with you. Always helpful An have a smile. Great atmosphere and music :)

Planet fitness would be a good gym if not for the manager. Failure to post changes and closings which should be said before it done.. plus just rude all the way around.On one positive note Planet Fitness does have fair prices and it’s clean. I just pre-enrolled at Crunch and they bait and switch their prices and I still don’t have a clear picture of what I purchased. So if you can stand the rude manager I would choose Planet Fitness their pricing is not hidden and definitely cheaper.

Great place for cardio workout and resistance machines. There’s truly no judging and the facility is nice. I left to try another gym and am coming back!
