I had some electrical issues on my house (not the dryer) however the dryer was not working. Called warranty company (choice home warranty. They are junk also but thats another story) I got an email at 8 on the day of saying they were going out I called and canceled at this point I knew the problem and he wasnt going to be able to fix it. Sears said ok got it canceled no problem. Dude showed up and. Plugged it in said it was fine... which it wasnt still didnt have 220v to power the unit, and charged $45 my mother in law (who was at the house) paid the guy with a check. Two weeks later. I get a bill for another $45. I called and explained they said no problem... then 2 weeks later another bill second notice $45. So I called again. Told them the same story they said I need to talk to warranty department. Seems to me like left had has no idea what the right hand is doing. As far as the work goes Im sure the tech did a fantastic job pluging in my dryer...my issue is with billing and customer service.... and choice home warranty
The menudo was awesome and the fajita burrito was off the chain!!! We will definitely be back! 💯💖💯
Normally, I rave about the quality of Sears technicians, but this particular technician was awful. The first time he came out, he did a diagnosis and refused to listen to an explanation of the problem. He was hostile and aggressive. Then, he failed to order the correct number of parts for service on the follow-up visit. But, he didnt even show up for that visit. I waited an hour and had to reschedule. On the third visit, he showed up, told me that he discovered there werent enough parts and closed the repair ticket as completed. He gave me his number and said to call him personally when the parts came in and he would come over that day or the next. Then, he closed the repair ticket and left. He did not do any repairs at all and he was scary hostile. It took me two hours on the phone to reschedule and my unit still isnt fixed.
The technician did not hook the washer back up correctly and when we turned on our washer last night the water flooded our laundry room, went into the first stall of the garage and into our living area!!! NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER!!!!!!!!!
The only negative thing is that it takes SO long to get an appliance fixed. They come out and diagnose the problem and then order parts and wait for them to come in and then wait even longer for an appointment to get parts installed. My refrigerator was down for more than a month. But the technician was great and very knowledgeable. It was not his fault.
Their service is TERRIBLE!!! They gave my parents the run around. We would not recommend them to anyone!! My parents oven went out over 5 weeks ago. The service department came out had to order parts and would be back within 2 weeks. 5 weeks they still have not had no one come out. They have received 4 parts out of 5 that would get one of the ovens working. The repair service technician had said they would come out 2 weeks ago. They never came out and my parents waited all day. They never called to say they were not coming. Christmas is in a couple of days and they have family in and no oven. The company refused to allow us to talk to a supervisor. My parents have the extended warranty that should cover everything. We would not recommend Sears repair/ A & E at all..
If only I could rate a zero, I would! I have had 3 appointments, first appointment for diagnosis of my refrigerator. Parts ordered and received. Second appointment Tech called 3 hours into my appointment window and cancelled my appointment because of vehicle issue.Today I waited 4 hours and after my appointment window had passed I called only to find out they dont have a technician in my area today and need to reschedule. No call ahead of time, no vm left. They just arent coming. This has been going one for over a month.I asked for a supervisor and get scoffed at and they tell me theres no supervisor. The service coordinators are not in the united states and could care less about customer service.
This is no reflection on the technician, the work was done to my satisfaction. The labor rate was crazy high and I did not see the price breakdown from parts to labor until after the work was complete. It would calculate out to about $1,100.00 per hour! I have used Sears Appliance Repair for many years, but that will change after this gouging!
The service person was very personable, efficient and quick! It was a painless process, though not cheap! I would suggest getting the extended warranty on any appliance you own. In all, the service was excellent and the technician very nice.
The repairman was efficient and thorough; however, I dont like that it takes a week or longer to get someone to come to our remote area and take a look.....and then they might still have to order parts so you have to go without your appliance for another week or two. In this case, he had what he needed to fix it, but past experience is why I wrote this.
The technician was proficient, but the product is inferior. This is the fifth time we have had a service technician to work on our Samsung dishwasher. It has been not working more often than working. We have had a variety of service technicians, but the problem is the dishwasher. This addition to my rating is approximately three weeks later-----still not repaired. Another technician has ordered a part that he cannot obtain, with no time speculation on when it may come in. I called Customer Service for the Protection Agreement and was told I would receive a return phone call within 24-48 hours. Im still waiting, five days later. When I call the direct line for the protection agreement, they tell me what they need from the technician. The consumer should not be the middle-man between the protection agreement personnel and the technician.I have been without my dishwasher since November, with multiple visits from technicians that were unable to complete the repairs. The Sears Protection Agreement in no way meets the terms of their agreement. It is a waste of money and time.
BEWARE!!!! So BAD I would rate in the negative; however, the system would only allow 1-star as the lowest rating! We were on schedule for service today (1.1.6.18), waited ALL DAY and NO tech showed up! Called 5 times to get ETA and was given lip-service about tech being behind but could count on him showing up. Was just told tech just decided to go home. My husband called customer service and the best they could do is make us WAIT TWO MORE DAYS!!! Time is money, dont wast it on Sears Appliance Repair in Lubbock, TX.
The service repair man come on time and was polite. This was a maitenance service call and all he did was turn on the dryer listen to it, open the dryer door felt that it was getting hot and that was it. I can understand that by listening they might be able to tell if something could be going wrong but I still feel that he should have at least open the dryer top and the front to verify. I took off of work for this appointment and I feel like it was a waste.
Excellent Service. Online repair reservation for next day service. Repairman was trustworthy and friendly and got the job done quickly. Im thankful!
Our Kenmore dishwasher was making a terrible humming noise. I scheduled a Sears repairman to come, which, I have to say was in a timely manner. He was prompt and polite. He told me that the water was emptying out during the cycle due to a suction issue with how it was run into the plumbing. I wrote him a check for his requested $161.29 ($59 service call fee & $102.29 for diagnosis). I then called the plumber and after the line was re-routed per the repairmans diagnosis, the dishwasher was still losing water during cycles. We took the front plate off, looked underneath, and the water was running straight out of the bottom of the dishwasher onto the floor below. We pulled it out, reseated/reclamped the bottom/center Ultra Wash Module and voila! it was fixed.Since it was misdiagnosed and Id now paid the repairman and a plumber for absolutely nothing, I contacted Sears Appliance Repair. I spoke with 2 different people who had a hard time understanding my explanation in English and was turned over to Customer Member Services. She said the best she could do was refund $65.00, the remainder of the $161.29 minus the $59 service fee and $37.29 for the repairmans visit. The check is in the mail. I asked her to break the different amounts down for me and while I was getting them straight (very calmly by the way), she hung up the phone--I was still talking.I am very unhappy with Sears right now. I love the appliances Ive purchased from them, but now wonder who to call to fix them, should anything else go wrong.
I have not recently ordered service or had service done, but they kept emailing me to confirm my appointment. I called them and emailed them to tell them they were contacting the wrong person. Now they are emailing me to rate the service (that I didn’t order and was not performed).I have previously had them repair a dishwasher. The first technician said he had to order a part. I never heard back from him and Sears had no record of him ever coming out. Finally after more calls and 5 weeks, the dishwasher was fixed.
Started out with Sears and all was great. The initial appointment was about 5 days from the time I scheduled, which I though was long, but whatever. The day of the appointment (which was today) the technician called me to confirm the service. I had a window between 1 and 5 and the technician said he would be here between 1 and 3. Since I had to take a half day off work I scheduled some other service to be completed at the house and was outback taking care of that job when the technician arrived. Instead of calling to confirm I was home, which I know he had my phone number as he called it in the morning, he knocked on the door and left while leaving a sticker saying Sorry I missed you. I called the number on the sticker within 10 minutes of the time on the sticker and was told by sears that the tech would be calling me back. I waited for an hour before calling again and this time being told that my service call was cancelled as I was not home when the tech came. They would be happy to reschedule a new time with special instruction to call when he arrived. Why do we need special instructions to call the customer when you get there if they dont answer? This is absurd!! The earliest they could reschedule would be another 5 days away. After all this I will never spend another penny with Sears. On top of all this the appliance needing repair is a Kenmore Elite refrigerator that is only 5 years old. They claim to have a 10 year warranty on parts for the compressor. When I ask Sears service about this Im told to call GE as they are the one that made my refrigerator and they would be the ones to warranty it. No wonder Sears is closing all their stores and going out of business. A once great American company going away due to poor customer service, unwillingness to make their own products anymore, and general mis-management.
The repair went well as expected but should have happened 6 months ago. When the refrigerator was still under warranty Sears wouldnt send a repairman. Wanted to walk me through it and fix it over the phone. When the warranty expired they had no problem sending a repairman out...for $500. Very unhappy with Sears
The service man was prompt, knowledgeable, efficient and curious. The problem was diagnosed and corrected quickly. He left no mess of debris. I would rank him highly.
Very good! Technician trouble-shot that problem quickly and corrected it in a heart-beat! He taught us somethings, too! Let him know we appreciated his service!
Awesome service - timely and fixed issue without any problems. Very honest and fair service.
Our two repairmen did a fantastic job analyzing the problem and then installing the part when we received it! The service was top-notch.
Very professional technician. Helpful and explained everything that was taking place. Fixed the appliance without any problems.
April 1, 2019, Refrigeration (Kenmore) not making ice. Called for Service and was scheduled for April 8th. Technician determined fridge needed an evaporator and ordered part. April 15th Technician came to install part and after two hours said job was complete and to let fridge cool for 24 hours before using. FRIDGE NEVER COOLED! April 16th called to report and instead of dispatching a Tech to come finish the job immediately I am scheduled for another service call April 22nd. Totally unacceptable service. My appointment should have been 1st since it was an in completed job. Hope the Technician hangs around to actually see that the fridge is working before he leaves on the 22nd!
I had an ice maker leak, but otherwise it worked fine. After the repair, it does not work at all.I waited over 2 weeks for the original appointment, and now Ill have to wait over a week for the second appointment. Im extremely disappointed with my service.
The main reason I am rating Sears Service a 1 star is the amount of time it takes for them to actually provide the service. My washing machine (a Kenmore Elite that is fewer than 5 years old) quit working. When I made the initial call for a technician to come look at it, it was a full week before someone could come out. The technician diagnosed the problem and told me to order the part and schedule the return service appointment to fix the problem. I did exactly what he told me to do. Thinking that I could head off the week wait time, I wanted to go ahead and schedule the return repair appointment at the same time I ordered the part. Unfortunately for me and other customers, Sears evidently has a 24 hour wait policy in place. I was told I had to wait 24 hours for their system to update before I could schedule the return appointment. Guess what happened when I called to schedule the appointment? ANOTHER full week of waiting for him to come to my location. At this point, we were going on 4 weeks of our appliance not working. The technician arrived at our house and performed the repair with the part that I had been told to order. I was charged another $79 diagnostic fee (that I had been told via phone that I would NOT be charged) in addition to the fees for labor. When it was all said and done, the cost for the part, the labor, and 2 service fees was close to half of what it would cost me to buy a new washing machine equivalent to the one I have now. I could have easily bought a lesser model for the cost of the part, the diagnostic fees, and the labor. The technician replaced the part, charged me for the additional diagnostic fee and labor, and left the premises. After all of that, my washing machine STILL DOESNT WORK. As a matter of fact, the machine shows the exact same error it showed when I made the initial call for repair. I called Sears home services immediately and was told you have to wait 24 hours because our system has not updated. SO VERY FRUSTRATING. When I called back the next morning, I was given the 24-hour wait excuse AGAIN. And you guessed it... when someone finally would speak to me about it, it was another full week before a technician could come out to our house. The new technician diagnosed a different problem than the previous one. So now, in week 5 of not having a functioning washing machine, we have to order ANOTHER part, wait a week for said part to arrive, then call for another technician and likely wait an additional week for him to arrive. I am just about done with Sears and their products. Not only should my top-of-the-line Kenmore washer not have broken within five years, but the customer service has been HORRENDOUS.
Technician very nice and thorough. Had ice maker that I needed. Very happy with service.
Repairman was great and very knowledgeable. Right on time when he called me and I could not be happier.
Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Hung up on me twice. I never even had someone show up for my appointment. Please stop outsourcing your call center.
Very professional, quality service, FAST service and appointment. However, ONLY worth it if you can not do it VERY expensive.
Better than expected, otherwise no surprises.Really like the tech, we operate similarly.
The technician had come to look at the washer previously and he was great both times...quick, friendly, informative...just an exceptional young man. I would recommend him to anyone any time.
Great place to shop
Robert came when he was scheduled. Did necessary repairs. Machine is working as it should. Robert has always done a good job!
Very professional, effective and provided some very beneficial help in the operation of my dryer. Excellent experience.
It took 10 visits to get my 1 yr old kenmore washer fixed. Several different repairman came out. One would come out, diagnose the problem and order parts. Another would come out to do the service and only put Some of the parts on and take the rest back. Cant help but think that it would be better to have the same repairman each time.
I was very pleased with the service I received from your technician (James). He was very perfessional and friendly.
The repairman was very polite and knowledgeable. He completed the repair to my cooktop and was very careful not to scratch my granite counter tops.
Technician was very intelligent & completed the repair with ease. Very Good!!
Very good service. Expert technician. Very friendly. Less than half hour to complete repair.
I had to have a heating element replaced in my dishwasher. The repair was successfully completed, but I felt like the problem should have been corrected during the first service call when the fill/drain hose was replaced. Paying a service call fee twice to get the same appliance up and running felt like a bit of a scam.
He was good, fixed the dishwasher very well and quick. I was Very Pleased!!!
The repairman was great. Very pleased with the service.
Excellent service exept for the delay of replacement parts shipping time and too ti technician scheduling
The repairmen who came were very helpful !! We appreciated their promptness and friendliness as well as their skills!
The technicians were prepared and professional.
The service man was a real expert. He quickly diagnosed the problem and promptly fixed it.
There always are polite and respectful and fix what is needed
I was supposed to be called via cell when technician was on his way to the house so that I could be certain to meet him. Technician did not call and simply left we missed you notice.
Great service. Very polite.
Your serviceman did a good job.
Very pleased with the service we received.
They didnt fix a thing. The ice maker was freezing up. The guy unthawed the part, put it back on. The ice maker worked for 1 week and now Im waiting for someone to come BACK out and fix it again. I will never buy another appliance from Sears again!!!!
The tech was very thorough in checking my appliance and fixing the problem. He was also very polite.
Service Tech did a great job!
Very good and prompt service.......
First we reported the problem on line that our ice maker was not working. The person on phone said she would send parts to fix and a repair person to install. The part arrived and it was a door seal which has nothing to do with the ice maker. The repair person showed up and began to unhook the in line filter we had for our ice maker saying it was not allowing water to get through. It was allowing but he took it off. It had been making ice for six or eight months before he arrived. He then did some other things and the ice maker made about 3 trays of ice before stopping again. He obviously knew nothing about the repair he was supposed to do. The ice maker does not work and he ruined the in line filter so it is no longer useful.
Its great tp have warranty on an appliance but it took way to long 11 days to get an appointment especially on a broken AC
Tech couldnt fix it. He said I needed someone to check freon and told me to call 1-800-FORMYHOME, which I did, and they said they would get back to me with an appointment time within 24 hours. That was 5 days ago and still no return call. And icemaker is working worse than when tech came out.
My problem was very simple, but my service man was helpful and considerate, and solved my problem.
Poor service. Poor customer service. Will no longer purchase appliances from Sears!
Phone number doesnt actually connect you to a local person but a call center in India...
Rep was good and informative!!!
Excellent
