Masks are required..easy to social distance..The store carries exactly what orange and blue don’t..The staff did everything for me and got me out with exactly what i needed..super competent and friendly staff..i drove from flatirons crossing, mall territory..to come here ..if you need anything snowblower, lawnmower
Terrible, would not respond to phone calls/Messages. Not satisfied at all
Downhome, friendly and local company. The guys are always so cheerful and do an amazing job at customer service.
I was in Loveland looking for a used lawn mower when I found this Mac Equipment..I was pleased to see that it looked good comfortable and the people were friendly.I found a bargain of a riding lawn mower and knowing that it had maintenance and a decent price.I am highly disappointed though that they dont do a veterans discount or an AARP.For a good company its disappointing. I spoke to two people in the parking lot that said they had come for years and enjoyed the store.Only 4 stars as in todays world veterans discount is a respect Id like to see.
Just amazed at the speed and quality of the service. With pending snow I did not believe they could get my snow blower fixed, it had not run in years, but after 1.5 hours of work and a new carburetor, they called the same day I dropped it off, and I picked it up! Runs better than ever. Great work at the shop and friendly customer service staff! Would go back there again and again.
MAC has great employees; very friendly & professional. The customer service is the best, shop local.
We have used Mac Equipment for years. They provide excellent customer service. They are always friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make sure you understand the equipment and are able to use it properly.
Love these guys and gals. Always helpful
This store has quite a scam going you take something in to have it looked at they charge you 75 to look at it and then if not worth fixing you get in store credit for 30 days then you lose out on 75 dollars owner was not willing to carry the 75 store credit tell winter when he got his stock in for me to buy something like a snowblower his loss after all these years of stopping in this store it will be my last we need good family owned company’s in this town not shady one that find Sneaky ways to take your money
Great place..I firmly believe in supporting local businesses. Mac and staff are extremely great to work with. Long lines and waiting are worth it if they are busy.
Great service, great friendly, knowledgeable, help and top notch equipment repairs a go to place for all your small equipment needs
Only good in a pinch, but not otherwise. Every time Ive needed something from them its out of stock, with only a twice the price option available. Not all that bad until you go in to spend $250 and walk away at $400.On top of that, I didnt see a single employee wearing a mask in the store, or even making an attempt on my visit today, seeing at least 5 careless employees in close proximity to masked customers.Lastly, they guy there to help me, spent an extra 2 minutes talking about nothing to the longmont store while I waited for an answer to my question. For how much Ive spent with you over the last year, and how much I planned to while growing my business, I expect to be treated like you support your customers growth as much as weve supported yours.See you when Im desperate and forced to again
Awesome customer service. Family owned and operated.Reading through some of these reviews relating to warranty work makes me realize that so few people understand warranty work. Every manufacturer looks to short pay service providers on their failed equipment or faulty parts/ products. Especially the people trying to get warranty work on a product they didnt purchase from Mac. So you want to buy it from somewhere else (probably because it was a few dollars cheaper) and then get mad when the manufacturer wont pay? Im confounded. Even under these circumstances I have witnessed time and time again Mac provide informative and over the top customer service.Drop off a mower, it comes back looking like new. Dont know your part numbers? They will help you find exactly what you need. They put fuel and oil in new units so you walk out ready to work and they register all units for you so the warranty work (if it needs to be done) is a much smoother process.Look no further and dont buy the negative folks who dont understand service businesses. Not to say this place doesnt make mistakes but they have always made it right.
Just purchased a new Honda lawn mower from Mac Equipment because of their great service and Honda products they sell. The next day (first mow) I had a little trouble starting the mower. So I notified Mac and they sent Joe, their service repairman that day who had delivered it the day before to make sure it was working properly. After talking to him and testing the lawn mower I have had no problems. He said any further problems let him know and they would need to take it in and repair it.I purchased a Honda Snow Thrower in 2014 from Mac and have had no problems. It always starts on the first pull and does a great job removing the snow. I used the electric start one time and it worked great. Just had it serviced and returned (looking brand new) by Mac for the first time (I have always did it before) so it will be ready for the next 6 years.
ALWAYS have friendly service!! LOVE coming in
Great family owned & operated company! Our company is family owned as well, and they are just amazing four brothers (Owners) nice people in general. We always go to them for our arborist or landscaping equipment and supplies. Very resourceful, I’d highly recommend going to their store!-Team of A.P. Excavation & Landscaping
After shopping in person at their store and waiting over 20 minutes without even being acknowledged, I left. This was on Monday. On Wednesday I called 3 times before my call was answered. Finally they answered and I ordered a Stihl SH 86 C-E. I was really dreading going to pick it up but was pleasantly surprised. The young lady that waited on me was very friendly, professional and friendly. I will probably shop here again because of this young lady.
I took my new Hustler Super Z in because the clutch went out while I was mowing a few weeks ago. I bought the mower last fall (Sept) and used it for a few weeks in the fall then when spring started I used mower 2 days per week until mid May, so not a lot of hours on it. I had an issue with the dipstick not staying in on the very first day I used mower made a call to Mac Equipment and the person I talked to said if I wanted it under warranty that they would need the mower for 9 - 14 days, or i could purchase a new dipstick. I did not want to shut down mower and decided I would take in mower when season stopped. I forgot to take mower in until spring and then I did not want to shut mower down for 2 weeks. When the clutch went out on my mower I thought it would be a good time for the dipstick to be replaced as well. They kept mower for 16 days, which I understand if they are very busy. Went to pick mower up today and Joe (I guess shop supervisor) told me dipstick was not under warranty. I explained that it was a brand new mower that I spent almost 18K on last fall. Still had to pay $25.00 for the dipstick, the money is not the issue but it is the principal of it. I am very disappointed in policy for someone who has been a loyal customer for years. i have purchased line trimmers. edgers, blowers, mowers and lots of parts from Mac Equipment in Loveland and now for $25.00 I will take my business elsewhere.
My lawn maintenance business will buy all of our equipment from Macs . They know there products inside and out. Very professional and I can make a phone call at any given time if I have a problem in the field and they always find a solution. I highly recommend them!
Good place to find small engine parts friendly staff..
This place is awesome! Locally owned and operated business. Fantastic service.
First, they were supposed to call me about a consignment Billy Goat vacuum and I never got a call.. So I o in to check on it and of course it’s sold.I’m interested in a new Billy Goat KV ($1575) and I can’t get either of the lady’s or the guy to come out from behind the counter and tell me anything. I can’t say enough about how they must not want to sell anything at all based on the lack of motivation.110% disappointed in the service. Instead of giving my business to a local shop, I’ll go to Lowe’s.
If you want your small engines running their best. Then head in for a service. An excellent locally owned business you will enjoy supporting.
Once again, when I visited Mac Equipment, I was thoroughly impressed with the demeanor and support I received. I was acquiring about having the chains for my chainsaws. sharpened... one of the staff went out of their way to teach me how to sharpen my own chains and then helped me find the right sharpener kits. This time I felt compelled to put my feelings in writing. Sadly, this kind of service is too rare in todays world.
Mac repaired my 12 yr old Toro lawn mower late last fall. The mower had significant wear issues. When I started it up this week it worked like new. I am very pleased with their service. Their staff were helpful and easy to work with. I will use them again.
What a horrible place they dont understand customer service they literally told me to come pick up my equipment. They dont want to work on it because he said I was mad on the phone when I never raised my voice and was only asking questions.keeps pausing and could not answer my questions. I express to him I wanted him to fix my generator and work on it why would I want to take it somewhere else its already there. Its funny he acts like he owns that place. Eager to turn business away and tell me to go elsewhere Ive called their Longmont office and hopefully theyll be interested in taking my money.
Great company, great customer service! They go above and beyond, to help take care of there customers. I own a company my self and I’m impressed. I highly recommend going to the stores located in Loveland & one in Longmont!Great company! Family business! Great people! Great Service!Ashan ReyesA.P. Excavation & Landscaping
Great place with great people. Highly recommend doing business here.
Great shop, they will always take care of you. Nice people behinded the counter. They know there stuff.
Just bought a mower from them and was very pleased with the whole experience. Knowledgeable, friendly, and well priced. Highly recommend them for any equipment or small motor work you need done.
I was in the market for a new string trimmer and my questions were answered thoroughly on different Stihl models I had. I chose the FS 131R and am totally stoked! Thank you!!
With the advice if my sister and brother in law,I was sent to Macs on 1st Street. My old mower was mistreated and left for me in a divorce. Unable to start it after an hour of pulling, I went to Macs and was guided to the perfect machine for me. Not the most expensive product but the one that fit my yard size, my use and had a reputation of good functionality.I would recommend Macs as a great family owned/operated business that cares about the needs of the customer first. That is great customer service!
Loveland Mac has gone downhill. They exchanged people that could help you and cared for cute faces that could not tell you where the power head on a chainsaw is. Go to Longmont location if you are looking for expertise. Paul Ricardo Jen will help more then anyone can at the Loveland location. If they cant Ron(the legit brother) will make damn sure to make it right. Chris nothing against you. You are the only good one in Loveland.
MAC has been a go-to of mine for years. Everyone is extremely helpful and if they dont have what youre looking for they will find it and order it.
These guys are awesome. They know their stuff, are always friendly, and reasonably priced. I would give them 10 stars if I could.
Always a great place. Knowledgeable and friendly employees.
Great staff and super friendly. Very knowledgeable. Will come back for any future needs
The most amazing people and service! Thank you all!
I brought my Echo hedge trimmer that I purchased somewhere else to Mac Equipment on Saturday 8/6. It would not run properly and would only rev up with the choke halfway on. They explained that it may need a new carburetor due to the ethanol fuel causing damage to internal components. The man working the counter handed it off to someone in the back for a quick look. Two minutes later he came back and said, Give that a try. I said, Okay. and skeptically asked them how much I owed them. Both men said, Nothing. so I purchased some spray oil for the blades and took it home. I have no idea what he did but it works perfect. Obviously they cant fix everything for free but they could have taken advantage of me and they didnt. I will be making future equipment purchases here!
I wish I could give 10 stars! The staff at MAC is amazing! Friendly, knowledgeable, and they are great at what they do. I cant tell you how many times theyve saved the day for me as a lawn care owner. If you are looking to buy any outdoor power equipment, new or used, or get it serviced, this is the place for you.
Good place to go for help with a mower. The staff was great and we did have a problem but the owner stepped in and made it right the first time. Recommended.
Good inventory, knowledgeable staff.
Staff is so friendly and helpful. Both on the phone with questions and in the store for parts. Highly recommend!
Very knowledgeable staff. Ready and willing to help out. Great selection of equipment. I had a repair done that was quick and correct.
Just needed a copy of a receipt & Jan was a big help and very easy to deal with. Good Employee
Either stupid or dishonest.
Well worth the drive from Windsor to Loveland. Hard-working, honest business I would highly recommend. I have been coming here for years and have nothing negative to say.
First and last time I will ever shop there. Bought a ignition coil that they talked me into and then when it wasnt the problem wouldnt let me return it. Never used it. The old one was still good. I repair small engines and buy a lot of parts but never from there again. This all happened in about 2 1/2 hours. I drove 40 minutes there and back twice. When they ask you if you have ever purchased here before and you say no you would think they would tell you you cannot return parts
The staff was very helpful and educational before and after our purchase more so than the big-box stores. Will definitely come back!
Excellent customer service, thank you Chris!
For years my dad and I have been going here for our lawnmower repair. Thanks guys for your friendly service!!
Great guys to deal with! Honest, prompt and consistent communication with their customers. Products are top notch as well as their knowledge about them.
Started a new business this year, I explain to them that I needed a good mower. I ended up buying a walk behind mower that was used the mechanic said it was in good condition and that is should serve me well. A week later its needing new belts and brakes and outputshafts. I was pretty angry I had them order all the parts it took them 4 weeks because they ordered the wrong Parts twice. Finally after almost 5 weeks they said it was ready for pickup. I tried loading it the belts are the wrong ones for the drive tires it wouldnt even go up the ramp on the trailer. I had the mechanic look at it he said well I thought these belts would work but I guess I need to order OEM belts. Really I always thought youre supposed to check your work before you call the customer to make sure it works properly. I was quoted $350 for all the repairs then turned out to be almost 250 more. I am so disappointed with this place I wont ever go back and theyre losing my business forever do yourself a favor and dont waste your time.
I have an old mower (about 15 years old), so every year, I take it in for a tune-up. Every year, I take in a working mower and get back a broken one. Last year, it took them about five tries to realize they needed to set the gap in the spark plug (instead of claiming there was water in the gas). The year before, they forgot to re-attach the emergency stop release lever, so the mower wouldnt start because the emergency stop was engaged (and they tried to blame it on me). This year, they told me to buy a new mower because my old one had zero compression. So, finally, I was motivated to find a new repair shop, even if I had to go to Fort Collins. I contacted Briggs and Stratton and found another certified technician in Loveland (clear across town from me, but at least in Loveland). I took the mower to him and he and I both identified the problem in mere seconds. The mower had no spark plug. He put in a spark plug, and the mower ran fine. I dont know how Mac Equipment stays in business. Their customer service is terrible (it takes about 20 minutes just to drop off a mower, and they often dont answer their phone and dont return calls), but what kind of repairman removes a spark plug then cant figure out why a mower wont start? That would be unbelievable if it hadnt actually happened. Dont waste your time with them. Theyll just break whatever youve asked them to service. Do what I did. Find someone who knows what hes doing.
Excellent place to do business with.I purchased a Toro 518zr snow thrower from them last year.I could have gotten it from Home Cheapo but I wanted to go somewhere where they had product knowledge and could make recommendations to fit my needs. Also, when you buy a machine from they assemble it, start and run it and fill it with fuel. Ready to go!They also explained how to operate and care for the snowblower.I highly recommend them.
Every time I go to Mac I feel like Im treated like family great employees these kinds of businesses are hard to find these days keep up the good work
Great customer service
They have always done top-notch work, but I find their warranty repairs on equipment they contract warrant repair for unacceptable. Ive purchased thousands of dollars in equipment from them, but I will never take another piece of equipment there for repair. I purchased a chipper from a company in Vermont and the bearing failed in less than five hours of use. As it turns out, the manufacturer didnt lube the bearing but Mac first gouged me $65 because even though they were the authorized warranty repair station for the seller in Vermont, they claimed that they were not paid sufficiently for warranty work. Then after the Vermont company paid me back (nearly a month later) Mac charged me for shipping on the part which obviously was not from the manufacturer. It cost me time and Mac tried to blame the failed bearing on ME when the unit had less than five hours total run time!. They TRIED to bill me over $300! Sorry but whatever agreement exists between Mac and the manufacturer/seller is not my concern as a buyer and customer. This tactic means that I will NEVER buy from them again and never recommend them to anyone else I know.
Stellar service, great prices, just a great/friendly place to get your equipment!
Great owners! Very knowledgeable! Always a good experience!!
Lost our chains for our saw that we took in for sharpening. Then said they had no record of it so it was a total loss for us. We now buy our parts and machines elsewhere.
I took my snowblower to Mac Equipment for repair. They charged me $ 170.00 to replace the belt, a cable and a spring on the cable. The first time I used it, it ran for about 30 seconds and the impeller quit spinning. When I took the cover off of the belt assembly, I discovered that the mechanic had failed to tighten the nut that holds the tensioner assembly to the unit so the belt had come off and was partially shreaded. I took the belt in and explained what had happened and the clerk ordered me a new belt but failed to accept any responsibility for the replaced belts failure because it had been over 30 days since I had picked up the unit. We have not had enough snow to even worry about blowing it, so that is why I had not used the unit within 30 days of picking it up. I figured a successful company like Mac Equipment would just give me a replacement belt to make me happy but they did not so I have to give them a bad review. I would not recommend taking a snowblower to them for repair !!!
Ive tried to call this place and I always get a recording. I dont care who I talk to but I want to talk to someone. When I have selected someone from the list of 6 or 8 people on the first recording, Ive gotten another recording and voice mail. Ill go somewhere else where they answer their phone.
You cannot get anyone on the phone. What a terrible phone system.
Honesty and expertise. Its easy to get ripped off on tool and equipment repairs, so its great to have a business that does not see customers as pigeons.
I tried calling several times on Tuesday just to ask if they have replacement parts for my mower. After getting voicemail 3 times I tried to leave a message, only to find the mailbox was full. I guess Ill just shop online for my Honda mower parts.
Been using them for several years know with great service,
Paul is great! Very helpful and honest! Thanks!
After three tries, their mechanic refused to look at the manual or ask tech support for help. After wasting over $700 on this business, I ended up fixing the problem in my own shop. These guys are ridiculous. Never go there.
Competent, knowledgeable, friendly, consistent staff! !! I always look forward to coming into this place.
Great place to do business with awesome employees.
So far. ~~~Horrible. Our John Deere came out of the shop in worse condition when it went in. If this changes I will write another review but as of now, I will never take any equipment to this shop again. Not only do they not answer their phones, but it seems they are incapable of tracking parts when shipped. Also we had chain saw blades to be sharpened...which they charged as much as a new chain...and by the third time cutting through a 6 aspen it would no longer cut. Beware.
These guys always are awesome.
Great Place to Buy !
Customer service was very professional and listened to my concerns.
