My service is totally unreliable and nearly goes to zero during the day. After many contacts they guaranteed service but did not deliver. Perhaps Rise Broadband has grown beyond the service they are capable of delivering. For several years prior, it was great service. I keep trying. Wish someone would take quality and reliable service seriously.
I recently joined Rise Broadband under the $50 per month promotion that is currently being advertised. My first two bills have been $55. I called customer service today and was informed there was a rate increase and Rise Broadband will not be honoring the promotion it is currently advertising. This promotion is what baited me to leave my other internet service provider for Rise and now the deal was switched by Rise before I even got my first bill. By not honoring this promotion, Rise Broadband has traded its integrity for $5.00 a month.
Im a little upset. I called on a Monday to set up my business account and the person I talked to on the phone said Yes we can get you hooked up there you are in a good location. They set my appt for Friday, (today). We waited all week, the tech got here and the first this he said is our towers dont reach this area, we wont be able to provide you service. Im disappointed that there is that much of a disconnect between the office and the tech. The office people should know where service can and cannot be provided.
Why am I paying $80 a month for this. I cant even stream 20 minutes of news in the morning because of such bad service, I spend more time waiting for a connection than I do actually watching anything. They are the only service provider in my area and I have no other options and Im still going to cancel. For streaming Its way more cost effective to have a device with its own service n data plan and buy an hdmi adapter to cast the image onto your tv screen.
Terrible company!!! Bad internet service!!! Bad customer service!!! They promise one thing but they do another!!! They interupt when you call them!!! I am so angry!!! I would rather have no internet than this monopoly company!!! Just wait until we have the fiber optics in Lago Vista you will have no customers!!!
Slow, unreliable, and lied to multiple times, Speed comparison between 4g internet and their 25mbps aka 7 mbps service in image below. We are only paying $60 a month for the 4g.When I tried to cancel I with Rise I was told to keep the router, they dont want it, but I have to pay for one more month even though I was cancelling 20 days before the end of my billing cycle. My sister next door then called to cancel her service as well because she was averaging less than 5mbps and the tech said no problem, you are all paid up, just send the router back with the free shipping label. I called back after hearing that and was told by the sales rep that I was lied to before and I should actually be expecting a refund in the mail but to make sure to send the router to avoid charges. We were lied to multiple times before as well due to a previous mistake they made so they obviously dont record their phone calls and their techs can make up whatever they want so DO NOT TRUST WHAT THEY SAY. If you decide to go with them I would demand the provide everything they promise you in writing so you can take legal action when they are caught in their lies.
Set on hold over 3 hours in last 3 days and still no internet or solution. Terrible service! Not to mention paying for a 50 meg service and NEVER get it!
We have been incredibly disappointed by Rise’s services. Things started out great but about 2 months ago we started having issues with interrupted connections and slow service. After MULTIPLE calls to customer service/tech support/supervisors we kept being told there was an issue at the tower and they were aware. No answer on if things would improve or what the actual issue was. Turns out they turned down their signal at that tower knowingly leaving many of their customers on that tower with poor service. We are shocked that a business can function this way and lie to their consumers. We’re limited on options for service where we live and wish this company could just do better. I’d recommend you go with another provider if you have an option. Rise very clearly does not care about customer service or the quality of their product.
We have had difficulty with service for the last couple of years, calling in and waiting more that 45 minutes just to get to talk to a tech, and to know avail had multiple repair persons come out and then same issue would happen again .BUT a service gentleman that just came this time was AMAZING and quickly without hesitation preceded to totally fix our trouble spot and showing what was wrong and how he was correcting it.This gentlemans name is JEFF---I think he deserves a HUGE raise and I will only ask for him if I need service in the future!! He is extremely knowledgable of his work and is very quick and efficient of repair unlike the many we have had before.Jeffs knowledge and professionalism makes Rise Broadband shine!!
Been longtime customer. Have outtages on service atleast twice a day now. They keep saying they are fixing them but nothing has changed. North of Fort Collins. Worst customer service and business I’ve ever had to deal with.
I have been a customer for 15 years, and I discuss Rise regularly with my neighbors. Rise behaves like all monopolies do. They just raised the price of my monthly plan 34% without any notice or explanation. Their advertised prices are misleading; they add an $11/month Equipment Rental and a $7/month Carrier Recovery Fee that would be more honestly called Additional Money For Rise. Ive had problems that took months to get resolved, and been told the lie that my slow speeds were due to geography even though the speed had been 3X faster a month earlier! Of maybe 8 times Ive been told that tech support would call me back, it actually happened once. Rise has the capability to see that your antenna is out of alignment, but they dont check it unless a customer calls in with a problem. I could fill a book with stories of bad Rise experiences Ive had and others have told me. Most of the employees Ive dealt with have been nice, but Rise as a company will frustrate you over and over. Only competition would force them to clean up their act.
We have been out of service since sunday 7-10-13 i have called everyday, takes 30 min plus to reach anybody. On sunday they said it would be 5:00 pm...I happen to live with binocular distance from the tower on the cement plant in Lyons. I have not seen one crew there yet. This is a scam. Starlink will be in our area in September I urge all of you to cancel Rise Broadband once Starlink comes. Im sure they will be offering lots of discounts in September. A day late and a dollar short. I also like to talk to someone that speaks clear english when I call...
Ive been on hold for an hour, running speeds of 1 Mbps with intermittent drops in internet all together. And its been like this for a week. The call just dropped me. Garbage internet and customer service.Edit: so I followed up with the email provided below, and never heard back. I wish I could give 0 stars.
Kevin the technical support manager was unable to accomplish anything when I told my internet was down AGAIN. We called them last week with the same issue and were told we had to wait until Tuesday because of memorial day weekend. Totally understandable. However when the tech came out and was informed the tower we were pointed at was blocked by trees and that another tower was available he said the other tower was a narrow window and would require alot of work so he just pointed out satellite down some and called it good. That didnt work so today the internet stopped working again almost completely, we called at 9 am and they said they fixed it over the phone. Fat forward to 4:30 and it still doesnt work. Called again and now Im told we have to wait until Tuesday again! Wprst service ever. Do not sign up with these people. Ill update the review with their competitors information as soon as I find the better solution.
I normally dont write reviews. I felt that maybe this review might help someone else searching for reliable internet services find something better. This is literally the slowest internet we have ever had. It took 5 minutes just to get the page to load to write this review. We cant even have our phone connected to wifi at the same time as the Tv . The internet is 100.00 a month and delivers very low quality. We have called multiple times and they always say something new about the tower. Its seriously almost like having no internet at all. The company doesnt care either. When you call it says they have fast internet on their ad. I can assure you that from our experience that this is not true. If you want services that actually work please look elsewhere.
Called to inquire about service and talked to quite possibly the rudest individual ever. I was denied due to line of sight, literally this is all the guy on the phone said. I presume solely based off satellite imagery. I understand this is a limitation but my neighbor who has similar trees has the service less than 1/2 mile away. When I asked about having a technician come it, I was told NO without explanation. Not even a sorry was uttered, unbelievable.
Do not get this ISP. They have no plans on making their already awful service any better. We pay for 20 mbs download speed and only get 4, and when we ask them why they say that their towers experience a lot traffic and they need to upgrade or build new ones. They have been saying this for 4 YEARS. We only have them because we live in an area that they only reach unfortunately. ANY other ISP is better than these people. Toddlers understand that if somethings isnt working it needs to be fixed, these people do not.
Your customer service and internet service is by far the worst we have ever had!!!! You raised our prices with out notice. Can give a call back,, oh wait sit on hold for 45 mins then hang up !!! Still waiting for a call from two weeks ago.
I have been a business customer for over 4 years, I pay 135 a month for your 25 mb unlimited business plan,, I have yet to see speeds past 13 mb. Generally 3-10 is average..I call tech support and its the same thing every single time our towers are over sold and theres not enough bandwidth for my plan, we are aware of this issue and working to resolve the matter.. every single time thats the answer...and for that reason the 1 star if there was a negative I would have done that.
3 months in a row we got notices that there will be issues with our internet because they are doing maintenance... but do they offer any type of discounted rate for the degraded service, of course not. After several months with multiple days of slow speeds or no connection at at all I tried calling in to get this fixed and was told we were on a bad tower and someone would come fix it. They came out and said person on phone didn’t know what they were talking about, the other tower was even worse, and “fixed it” some other way. Less than 24 hours later we are back without internet again for the second time today. Tried calling back, waited on hold over 25 mins, told them my issues and was instantly placed on hold and now got a message they were closed. Very poor customer service and even worse internet service.
Rise broadband is the worst internet provider to exist. I have signed up for auto-pay for 8 months in a row and every month my account is not charged and I have to pay $20 extra. NEVER sign up with this company if you have the option
Good info / no-hard-sell from technician Seth. I ultimately didn’t connect since the signal was diminished due to a little ridge behind my house. Darn.I was impressed with the straightforward way Seth evaluated the possibility and helped me with the decision.
Our experience at the office with setting appointment was excellent. The appointment date took a couple of weeks. The installer was new and couldnt answer any questions. He was extremely courteous and otherwise also had good customer service skills. Our over all experience with the service has been 5 days.No problems so far.
Mr James Hodges showed up on time and didn’t waste any time getting to work. He had me in business with a good signal in less than 90 minutes. He patiently explained what the new base equipment was and left only after being satisfied I was pleased. Good man, definitely a keeper.
We had a mixup on a new service deal. We called them. They got right on it. It ended up being pretty detailed, but they stayed after it until it was resolved. Their folks were friendly, knowledgeable, and determined. They called after they had finished just to check to see if everything was working correctly. It was and I was most appreciative. It was a pleasant experience all the way through.
As an introduction, below is an email I received, cut and pasted here unedited but with name redacted:Hey Charis,This is [Redacted] i talk to you a couple days ago regarding service issues / slow speeds. I tired giving you a call back but wasnt able to speak to you. Looks like the tech did complete the service call yesterday, he did notate the fastest speeds you could get was 25MB. He did also get you switched to a different tower, so hopefully speeds are good for the 25 MB that you see now. I also wanted to touch base and let you know we go you switched over to the 25MB promo plan for 35$ a month, Ypur monthly would be around 45$ with fees and taxes. If you need anything else, case 6376930 has all the information in it as well as u can always reply bnack to this email- this is my personal email.Thank you!1. Never got more than 5mbps on the 25mbps plan even after service call.2. Never on hold less than 15 minutes every time we called. Each time, the initial person on the phone wanted to discuss our bill, even though the bill was not the issue. Then- after confirming every single detail of the account, every single time, even when they called US- they would transfer us to someone else, (hold 15m) who would invariably not answer and then they would transfer us to another department (15m).3. Were not offered the promo price or the higher speed plan or newer equipment until we threatened to cancel service. Then we were promised these things, and- surprise- didnt get them. No new equipment, no faster speed, and were actually not able to be placed on a higher speed plan. To be fair, we didnt stick around long enough to get the promo price. And we shouldnt have needed new equipment, as we only had the service for about a month total.3. Terribly unprofessional demeanor of the customer service individuals. Poor written and spoken grammar, limited vocabulary, halting and slurred speech, slow and limited cognition, limited ability to read, limited knowledge of the situation, among essentially all of the individuals with whom we interacted. None of this was related to ESL/disability/foreign speaker issues. In closing, I would like to share that I was told by one person on the phone that she had tried to transfer me to Retention, but that Retention had told her to send you to somebody else.Good news, Retention. Ive gone to somebody else.
Service out for 2 days after multiple calls. Finally told that they would send a tech out tomorrow making it 3 days without service. Like everyone else I work from home and had to call in. Asked to speak with a supervisor but they wouldnt get on the phone with me. Kept relaying messages through the phone tech. Trouble is, theyre the only option where I live and they know it. They dont care about the customer other than making sure the bill is paid on time.
Terrible company! The internet is slow and they sell you at a much lower rate than they actually have. I was quoted at 47$ a month but now currently pay 64$ a month. CSRs cannot speak english well enough to understand you when you call. If I could have another service I would but unfortunately I am in rural Loveland and they are my only option. They have a monopoly here and they know it. Still a terrible company
Had them for over a decade. Rise Broadband not only provides a terrible connection (think slower thank dialup, and less dependable too), but their customer service is the worst I’ve ever dealt with. They cancelled our service (per the owner of the local tower, they refused to deal with Rise’s failure to pay, failure to communicate, etc., so they refused to let them renew and forced them to decommission). Two months later I called because they still were actively billing us, and customer service told us we DID still have service (radio and all equipment was already physically removed from BOTH our business locations) and that we HAD to pay those invoices. Months later we JUST finally got our refund (both accounts were paid months ahead) after hours (10+) of calling and fighting with them. In an entire decade we never once spoke to a competent Rise Broadband employee. The closest thing was their “technician”, who also told us on several occasions how big of a joke he thought his own company was. I wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemy. If zero stars was an option, that’s what they’d have gotten.
Have had the service for 8 years internet is slow, and randomly stops. I noticed a change on my bill and went and looked at the breakdown of the bill. Initially there were not supposed to be equipment rental. Suddenly there is a 10.99 charge per month. I am not against paying for equipment but, the company has NEVER informed me of said charge. Check your bill for shady additions to it.
Terrible service. Use the hotspot on your phone and save some money. Twice as much as Comcast for a fraction of the speed and zero consistency. On a good day I might get 6 or 7 mbps. That %20 of what I actually pay for.By far the worst ISP I’ve ever had. Regular outages. Can’t even maintain a Spotify stream sometimes. The data from my cellphone is consistently faster. As someone who has lived all over, this is not what internet access should be like in the 21st century. If you rely on being connected for work, this is not the company to choose.Update April 29 2021: I had about 72 hours of decent service after I called and wrote this review, still far below the standards of the 21st century. Then came the steady downward spiral...You clearly have failing infrastructure somewhere along the line. I have to go into town and take advantage of friends WiFi to upload files or anything that requires an uninterrupted signal. These failures cost me time and money. It is inexcusable.Update May 8 2021: Still terrible 30 minutes for 150mb download... What are you doing to fix the constant outages? I’ve been using your service for a year and have had only had a handful of occasions where I actually get what I pay for.
Company is dogwater. Absolute scam, dont take and upsells. Call and say you want to cancel service, then say you can only pay x per month. Its honest to God highway robbery
Up until about 6 months ago, I had great service and no issues. Then everything fell apart. Ive had techs out multiple times, Ive been without internet for days and trying to credit credits is like pulling teeth. Ive also been paying for the highest speed available and only getting 4mb. So needless to say, not very thrilled.
Sat on the phone for quite a whole getting things set up for service on two houses. Once the guy came out, he tells us we have a tower on both sides of us but no signal on either house.
This is the abbreviated story of over 14 years of service with Rise Broadband.I lived west of Berthoud and used Rise Broadband as my ISP from 2007 through the end 2020, when I moved to Loveland. I paid for their 50 MB/s package and never saw anything close to it. If I was lucky, wed see maybe 20-30 MB/s (the latter only if you plugged into the router directly). Over the last few months of living at the old house, those figures dropped to roughly 1 - 6 MB/s. After repeated calls and check-ins, the only response I got was Theyre working on repairing damaged towers. This went on for months and would get so bad, that tethering from my phone would often warrant 10-20x faster speeds. I have attached a photo of some of my speed tests over the worst phase. The icons with LTE are all run off of my phones data. Conclusion: RIse Broadband has some of the friendliest and most knowledgeable customer service reps that I have ever talked to, but unfortunately their service leaves much to be desired.
The worst customer service ever! Signed up for automatic payments, they shut our account off for non payment. They can pull money from us at any time, but instead shut off our account making it impossible for me to work, since I have to use the internet for work. Then charge d me a $35 fee on top of all the screwups. Think long and hard about doing business with a company like this who has no humanity! Beware!!
Installers were nice, but our speed is more than half the speed we were told it would be.We also had issues getting our service setup where originally we were told that our service install was cancelled. As a result we went with another provider. We then received a followup email a few days later saying that we should ignore the cancel email. We had already signed up with another provider at this time and when I called the company to figure out what happened I could not get a valid response.
I was told on 2 separate occasions before my install that they serviced my address. Waited 11 days for my install and when they guy came out he couldnt get a signal. Im a college student and all my classes got moved online so what am I supposed to do now? Also, they are not transparent about price. Their website said $55/month for the plan I wanted but after all the additional rental fees and taxes it would have been $75. Just be honest!
Do yourself a favor and Sign Up for Space X Starlink or Amazon Kuiper. This company has no ambition to upgrade equipment or give better pricing.
Worst service. Dont recommend
They are always prompt on resolving my issues.
A Rise Broadband representative came out earlier that stated to make sure we could get service. They then arranged for the necessary equipment to be ordered and delivered. I was kept up to date on the day of installation as to how the process was going. We’ve now got the best internet we’ve ever been able to get. The cost, service, and speed are better that with our previous provider.
The service when we had it was fine, however upon moving we had to cancel service as it was not available in our new area. For the next two years I continued to receive emails of statements showing a zero dollar balance. Upon attempting to be removed from the email list, I was given the run around with customer service reps asking me to provide account info, my email address, my name etc. All information that was either in the email already OR information I no longer have. They refused to help me in this regard and it seemed like they were purposely playing games. For this reason I do NOT recommend them, They have terrible customer service.
The entire process was super easy and the gentlemen that came out to my home to install the equipment, were so sweet and so respectful. I completely recommend them. Thank you so much
The original install took less than 90 minutes and the tech was very accommodating. When we had a small connection issue a week later the internal Rise team was fantastic and corrected the problem in 5 min!So far so good with Rise!
Poor customer service. I waited over 15 minutes to resolve a billing issue that I had just received notification on today that involved an incorrectly entered expiration date on my debit card affecting my automatic billing. Not only did I have to pay for the bill that did not go through (understandable), I also had to pay for Octobers bill (even though it is still September). I was also told that my billing cycle would be changing and there would be no way to give me a date of when my account would be debited for the next bill ( according to your representative, could be three days, could be 45). I would expect better customer service.Follow Up: Received a call from Rise Broadband. They apologized for the poor customer service and worked with me to resolve the issue.
They came out to my house quickly and got it installed much quicker than I thought they would. My internet runs fast and my husband and I can both stream on different devices and it doesnt slow down a bit. Very impressed and very happy with the company!!
Bad service. Spent two months with no reliable internet. Their tech support will not answer or return calls. $80 a month is a rip off. No thanks
Installer arrived within the time frame they said he would arrive. He was fast and professional and answered all my questions. My Internet works great, I would recommend Rise Broadband to my friends and family. Keep up the good work!
Most horrible customer service of any company I’ve ever dealt with. Can’t get through to talk to someone on the phone, they hang up. Service sucks.
The technician went above and beyond to help get our system up and running and I am very pleased with Rise Broadband. Internet is very fast. love it!
Horrible company. I constantly have problems with my internet not working. Then today I was suppose to have someone here to fix it between the hours of 8-12 and they decided to cancel on me for the second day in a row but today they didnt let me know they cancelled until I called them to find out where they service tech was. They also didnt let me know that they decided to go ahead and reschedule my appointment for the hours of 12-4. This happens all the time with them. As soon as someone moves in to my area where I can change companys I will be doing so.
WORST COMPANY EVER. SERVICE SUCKS CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS AND LIE LIKE RUGGS!
Pretty bad service and expensive. I am within Windsor city limits but cable or DSL not available here so I pay 6x what Comcast charges locally. My service is 50mbps but is rare that speedtest.net reports over 10mbps. Frequent major slowdowns. Periodically need to power down Rise black box to get service working again at any speed. Only thing I like is that monthly download limits are much higher than competition. However Id drop these guys in a second if I had a reasonable alternative.
I was not in a hurry to start service and was scheduled for set up in two weeks. However...the representative for my area called and stated they could set me up earlier. I received an automated telephone call when the technician was headed my way. Within 15 minutes he arrived and within another 15-20 minutes I was connected to Internet with the new rise broadband equipment. Knowledgeable individual, courteous and was wearing a face mask through the whole set up process.
That came out when they said they would. Did exactly what they said they would and we now have great internet. Oh, and the guy cleaned up after himself. What more can I ask for?If it stays working like it is now this will be wonderful.
This was a second service added to the house. Rise has always been reliable and quick for speed out in the country. Unfortunately we needed this second line because how our house is laid out and the one service could not reach to downstairs office therefore adding the second line. The tech came out and did a great job once again, he was out just a few weeks prior making some changes we had requested and had the same tech out again this week. Asked a few questions where we wanted to place the dish and within 1 hour it was done and working as you would expect.Had a few other services providers in the house prior to choosing Rise and could not be happier with the service plan and price.Compared to the other companies the price for what you get is great.
It was easy to order the internet online. The technician was timely, professional and answered any questions. So far they have been great, and I have no complaints.
Rise broadband came out to install new service. The only thing I ended up with is 4 days wasted time and a damaged house that they wont pay to repair that theres subcontractor damaged. Their internet is slower than dial up. They didnt bother to test to see that they have a problem in this area and they cant get their stuff fixed so instead theyre subcontractor tore my house up I had to help him by calling to the attic and a hundred degree weather because he wouldnt do the put a system in that he cant even make work. so if you like wasting your time and the only thing theyll do is want you to keep contacting them they wont take care of it themselves. Have fun and good luck.
Called them and told them that I already had a modem and they told me they didnt have one assigned to me. Which is fine, the tech came out and told me that he can only put the wire here and pointed to the spot and I told him that I already had a modem and he came in, looked at it, called it in and told me they said it should be up and running by the afternoon. If it isnt working by then call and ask. It came to afternoon and wasnt working, so I called and they transferred me to 4 different people, since none of them knew what I was talking about. Luckily the last guy was able to help me out. The last lady I talked to just transferred me to someone else and didnt tell me she was going to. I was on the phone with them for almost an hour.
Pathetic response time and lack of quality. takes at least 2-4 days to solve a problem if unfunctional. no compensation for lack of action.
Brett was such a kind, professional, respectful engineer. He was so great to work with and we are so happy with our service. Thank you so much! We will be referring your service and Brett to our parents who will use this service in August.
I was given 3 different bids for residential broadband service. Rather than get a straight answer when trying to understand i was met with an attitude of dismissal and confusion. With my first inquiry I was given a fair quote and agreed to sign up. The technician came promptly the next morning. He gave me an advertising flier on which he jotted my account number and passcode. The flier advertised a monthly fee that was less than I had been quoted and no set up fee, a savings of $150. I telephoned Rise to ask for help in filling out the payment registration form when the new agent told me yet again another price. I commented on the differing prices and was told to photograph the flyer and send it to them proving that they had published this price. When questioning the new quote compared to the original quote compared to the add price I was put on hold so the agent could talk to the manager. During this 58 minute wait on hold I went to the website to find, on the homepage, there was yet another even cheaper price with no setup fee effective for another 5 days. After pointing this out I was on hold for another 20 minutes during which time I went online to check the feed of the local town Facebook group to find advice about broadband. Searching under broadband services I found 8 comments. Two shared my curiosity about new service and 6 shared warnings about signing up with Rise, how happy they were to find options and change their service. There were a variety of complaints about service, both poor and inconsistent performance and lousy customer service. When the agent returned i said Id decided to cancel and requested info about the procedure for this. I was then on hold for 20 more minutes when an agent came on the line and rather than give me the facts attempted to bait me into an argument. Still with no information I asked that a supervisor give me a call so I could begin the procedure. No call back. I wrote a letter to send by certified mail to confirm my cancelation, checked the website and didnt a physical address. I called the customer service number to simply get the address and the agent was unwilling to tell me.The agents were beyond unhelpful, wish Id never called them in the first place.
Our install was great, the tech was outstanding. He was very polite and friendly. He explained everything to us and answered all of our questions. I had three, yes three, other companies to this property for internet install and not one of them could get service to my home. I give Rise Broadband and the install tech my highest recommendation.
My experience with Rise has been great! Our service has been reliable and customer service has been courteous and informative. Wait times between service calls are sometimes lengthy...but successful. If you are within their service area...I would definitely recommend them!!
They came out to install everything. The weather got really bad. Had to leave for safety reasons. The same technician came back the next day even though he was swamped just to finish setting it up for us. Super friendly and very professional...Works just like it should even during bad weather..I have no complaints and Im very satisfied 😊
I just got Rise installed at our cabin in the Cripple Creek, CO. Connection is fast, but the customer service is where it’s at. They were super easy to deal with for setup, install happened on time, and the tech stayed with me helping get it wired up just the way I wanted in my house. Above and beyond.
Long story short weve had a terrible experience. We set up our appointment and the installer came out. He was quick to let us know that in our new home we would get much better connectivity and be able to reach a less congested tower if the builder would run our ethernet wiring for our home differently. So I agreed that we would do that and paid the builder $2,500 to put holes all over our brand new home and run the wiring differently per the techs request. All of this is documented in text messages with the tech. When The builders work was completed, Rise sent out another tech to do the installation. When he arrives he lets us know that not only can we not reach this new tower and we didnt need to run any of these lines, but we cant even get the speed we had signed up for.So we wasted $2,500 and put holes all over our new home for absolutely no reason. Rise Broadband will not return our calls and neither will the techs.
The gentleman that came to do the installation was prompt, as a matter of fact, he was a few minutes early which was great. The whole process was pretty quick from testing to make sure we would get a good signal to the actual installation itself. The only Negative thing i would say (I hope they change their process with this because I cant be the only person that doesnt want unnecessary holes in their home) is i asked them to run the wiring through the attic (brand new house) and was told they cant do that. So the wiring is visible on the side of the house & it wraps around our brand new leaf guard gutters on its way to the roof & dish. Its very unsightly! Gonna need a tall bush to make it look decent. As for the speed when using the service, its incredibly reliable.Lisa & Gabe Aranda
Works great
Installer was very nice and personable. He checked out the reception and gave me options as to where to put the antenna. He needed a clamp and called his supervisor who was in the same area. The supervisor came within 15 with the part. Andy finished the job up and cleaned up after himself. Im very happy with the installer and installation. Once we move in Ill be able to review the internet service.
We have had MANY terrible experiences with Rise since we moved here. Currently, our land line is not working properly, and weve called 4 different times. We called again today to tell them their suggesting for fixing did not work. The person on the phone basically said theyre working on it and there was nothing to be done. He also said he had no idea what the printed was. We suggested that we should not have to pay for land line service for this month since weve been unable to use the phone for a number of weeks. He just said we would have to take it up with billing. If you have other options, please choose a different service provider and safe yourself the time, the headaches and the hours of your life youll spend on hold with Rise.
Paul our installer was great. Explained everything and changed our business PC and Dish Network and streaming sign-ins for us. Havent had time to really see how the service is working (2 days out) but definitely faster than our current Century Link the only option in our rural area.
The technician was super friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to make sure every device I had was working properly and to make sure I’d have the best signal I possibly could have.
I contacted company about price, sales asked for address and then they sent email describing the two plans for my address.they had a plan perfect for me so i scheduled installation.after equipment was installed i was informed neither plan i was quoted saw available in my area.can you say BAIT AND SWITCH.contacted billing 4 times. sent email from sales department twice at their request, contacted support and they requested copy of quote, sent it.have not heard back from anyone.not a happy camper giving one star only because i have to.do not like being taken advantage when i am on limited income and the internet being life saver what with covid
Shawn was terrific on all of the above but he was also friendly & funny. We really enjoyed his company during the install!! He made the experience pleasurable!
The best experience with an Internet provider in years! Mike the tech went above and beyond getting me set up and back online after two weeks without internet. The speed is much faster than Frontier, which is who we previously used.
It took the guys a while but I had a lot of trees surrounding me. They were able to find a spot for my internet reception. Good Job, Guys.
Terrible ISP. Go with anyone else you can.
Needed only to find out how to send back an unused internet router. Within less than a minute I got a Chat reply with complete information and a link. Quick and easy!
Its only been a few days since the installation and so far im loving the service! Its fast, responsive and reliable. Customer service is very efficient and helpful.
I had a very difficult time convincing the salesman to send a technician out to see if I could get line of site to a tower. The salesman claimed I couldn’t have service due to a couple trees in the way according to google maps. I tried to explain to him that my next door neighbor has the same tree line “blocking line of site” and was able to get service with no issues after having a pole installed by the technician. After he finally agreed to it, he sent out the technician and I now have great internet. Great technicians but very frustrating salesman.
We have experienced significant outages, poor consistency and bad customer service. If we have any other options, wed jump ship. EDIT: Weve previously contacted the feedback and it was a waste of time. If you have other options for internet, use them.
Avoid these guys at all cost. I call every month to fix my bill.
Those giving 4 stars or better have to be employees or spouses of employees. Its rare to gets speed above 5mps. If you have ANY other option for internet use that instead of rise.
I had a difficult time choosing an internet provider and am super glad I went with Rise Broadband. The customer service agent was really patient with me and answered all my questions. When Jasper came for the installation, he was quick and efficient, was friendly, and extremely knowledgable. I would recommend Rise to anyone.
We don’t have a lot of options in my area for I internet, so I am at the mercy of Rise Broadband. If you are doing any kind of online school or work just be prepared to have to call your kids teachers or employers to explain that you can’t do your work because your internet is down. What is more fun is having a recorded message on the help line stating that they know the internet is down in your area, but when you finally get through to tech support after being on hold for most of the day the advise given is to do some kind of maintenance on the router and they accuse you of being the source of router not being reset on their server after they had the outage that they fixed.
Isreal was fantastic. Very responsive and competent. He hung in there until we were up and running and called to check in the next day.
Easy installation. Easy connecting to network. Good, reliable service. No longer waiting for videos to buffer! Love it!
Installer was able to come out the next day, since he was already going to be installing our neighbors internet. Very quick and professional service.
Their technicians are fantastic and have always had a great experience. The internet is great and have very few problems with it. The customer service is really hit and miss. I’ve had great service with people who listen and understand and then there times where they talk over me or interrupt me and I find that very disrespectful. There was also a mix-up while we were moving into a new place and they gave me the wrong address to be at for my appointment—which cost me some $ for their mistake. I just wish I had a good experience calling in every time. All it takes is one or two times with poor customer service to leave a sour taste in your mouth. That’s how I feel. Take it for what it’s worth. I’ll stay with them since they’re better than century link (1 star, they’re awful) and cable one (not getting that).
We had Rise installed yesterday. They communicated well with me before the install and then on the day of the install. They were on time and professional. They got it installed quickly and as getting the promised speeds so far.
The tech was a great guy really friendly, polite, professional and was fast on the install. No complaints what so ever here.
Be aware they DO NOT have a trial period despite what the installer tells you. Im still being hit for a $50 dollar bill for internet that occassionally worked for the 7 days I had it installed before switching to Hilltop. Rise towers are line of sight. If you cannot see their tower from where your dish is installed DONT HAVE THEM INSTALL THE DISH !!!!!!!!! Your internet will SUCK and you still get billed!
Chris was very helpful and got everything set up in a timely manner. The only problem was setting up the router. Directions said the password was on the bottom of the router but it didn’t work. I had to call tech support for the proper password. Company needs to change that or have the tech tell you the password while he’s setting up the system.
Installer tried hard to run the cable as we wanted - thats a plus for him. The actual internet speed tends to vary more than I expected. I assumed that paying for 50 mbps would get me that, but it varies all the time depending on other users. Dont expect to get what you pay for all the time.
Incredibly fast even though its low speed - dont let it fool you! I am a college student and a heavy gamer, and moving from the city to the country was made easier with one less thing to worry about thanks to Rise. Im pleasantly surprised with the speed of installation, and the network.
The installer was top notch then finished up the install with a thorough review of my electronicsIm impressed with his professionalism and respect--- many yessir and no sir responses I am back homeThanks
I just canceled my acct. The worst part about rise is their customer service. If theyre speeds were faster or the intermittent crashes didnt happen, I wouldnt have to call. The reason I cancelled is because I get hung up on EVERY time I call. You will literally be on hold for at least an hour every time. You tried to fix the slow speeds, I was patient but come on... Youre retention center personnel just cost you a bad review. These are rare for me.
They over promise and under deliver. Very long hold times with customer service. The speed is not near what they actually provide. And the network drops at least once per week. All for $70 a month! What a joke.
