Wonderful experience as a buyer working with this company, Brenda made closing fast and easy!
This was a remote home sale, as I currently live ~1,000 miles from the property. Quite frankly for the cost associated with this I was shocked when the local First American Title office refused to process my transaction. The only reason this is not a 0 is because the escrow officer, Laura Kovari, was fantastic. She answered all my questions and was professional, courteous and accommodating. Wish I could say the same about the local office here in Sunriver, OR. I was not some stranger waking in off the street, trying to get a bank service form notarized. Because your branch refused, I had to let a stranger into my home (and she in turn had to enter a strangers house).
First American Title is always the Title Company I encourage my clients to choose. Ive never had anything but great title experiences with Northern Colorado First American Title...
We closed on our house last week. Gentleman did not introduce himself to me or explain much about the doc, seem like he was just there. He made a comment to my loan officer about her coming in to the closings, and she answered that she represents her clients. Over all feeling cold and not friendly. My wife and I wanted our loan office there, not sure why he would address her that way, he was only to do his side of the title search.
They were prompt, courteous and everything done well.
Didn’t respond to calls or emails. Told us the mineral rights to our house were long gone, turns out the sellers had the rights. Sellers tried to get the rights transferred to us after the closing date in good faith. This title company said it was no longer their problem and wouldn’t help us even though we are paying them title insurance.
Closing went smooth but no sign of wire transfer, nobody answers the phone, nobody returns messages. Does not inspire confidence to leave them in charge of a large money transaction.
