Ive been doing business with Loveland Online Auctions for several years and have always been very pleased with both the owners and the auctions Ive participated in.
Turned out to be a very disappointing experience. Spoke on the phone to the two people running this service, Doug and Jewel. We had over 40 boxes of carefully selected, labeled, and packaged items from our Mom and Dads home. We had set up an estate sale in the home in January 2020 but we decided to find an alternative because we didnt want to be responsible for spreading coronavirus. Thus we had tagged and priced things in advance, but we had not yet tried to sell them. This site advertises doing estate liquidations and they told us they would accept anything but clear glass, figurines, and chipped glass. So they sold about half of our items for mostly fair prices but then refused to sell the rest, saying they would not get much money for them despite leading us to believe they would try to sell everything, no photos necessary, despite many valuable items remaining. They ended up calling us telling us we needed to pick up our remaining boxes of items ASAP as they were taking up their valuable space, despite the items being worth at least an estimated $500. As we were in the process of moving our elderly parent and the drive was over an hour, we could not do so, and they ended up giving our remaining items to charity. We felt they did not live up to their end of the bargain to sell our items and feel that they need to be more upfront to their customers as far as how they actually operate, what items they accept, etc. In addition, their descriptions of some items was sloppy, spelling Avon Avin for example. We would not recommend this auction site if you are looking to liquidate an estate. Have your own estate sale instead when it is safe to do so. This experience left us feeling taken advantage of and like our efforts to get a fair price for our parents possessions were in vain. Go elsewhere so you dont feel the same.Update: This site was provided with opportunities to improve their rating and respond to our concerns but instead they dug in their heels and showed no empathy for our situation. They did indicate they were burned out with this business and if that is the case they should consider closing shop.
I won a vintage boombox. I was excited to get this item. I get it home and nothing works. The radio doesnt power on or do either cassette decks work. Would would assume that they could plug it in and at least test it?
I have participated in Loveland Online Auction for several years, know many of the bidders and have followed the numbers used to bid. It seems some numbers enjoy bidding the other bidders up but never seem to win? This happens especially if one puts in a max bid(s). Bidders are given a 4 digit number when they register. A few of the bidder numbers to be mindful of are: XX23, XX89, and XX31. I left out the first two numbers on each. When one can avoid being bidded up the auctions are fun with many nice items.
I have been bidding/winning with this company for several years. Owner is pleasant and very helpful. Great prices.
I have won quite a few items on this website and have been happy with them up until resently. They have changed pick up from 3 days to 2 days and now to 1 day a week. They said they have sent invoice e-mails when they have not and blame you for deleting it or sending it to spam when I know I havent and have received all their other e-mails. Then they will charge you $12.50 for rent of your item if you cant pick-up on the 1 day a week they are in from 11:00 to 6:00. Very unprofessional.
Bid on and got exactly what I wanted. Pick up went well. Even received help loading the car.......
Great little auction house
