Online bidder. Thought I was bidding on something that was larger than it actually was. If Bean & Bean is going to allow internet bidding then they should specify measurements.

This is a great, fun auction house. They run two auctions at the same time the 3rd Sunday of every month - the junk room starts early then the higher value stuff in the main room later in the morning.You need a partner to make it work. In the junk room you really have to keep your eyes on your stuff or the boxes your bidding on. People move things quite a bit and will steal right out of your box. Put your stuff away as soon as you can.Its always crowded in there which is usually ok but beware the regular old timers can be Aholes, you might think you are being kind by letting the old guy get a better spot but hes just knocking you out of the way. Trust me there are lots & lots of complete jerks at this auction - which really isnt Brians fault. So Im not knocking him for his regulars.Brian has a very unusual way of calling that takes a bit of time to get used to but he is funny, friendly and mainly moves the auction along quickly.Theres a few things that need to change to make it a 5 star for me. Firstly -I wish they would lay off the politics, its uncomfortable and unprofessional. At least once an auction theres a crack. Not everyone has the same beliefs so if, as a small business you are turning off 1/2 your audience its not smart.Second - the auctioneer in the junk room is typically very rude and short tempered. I get it. I get its a tough crowd but he makes the atmosphere worse by treating people poorly. It spreads.Third - The 4-H portion of the sales can draw on & on way to long. I appreciate the devotion but it can get annoying when you are budgeting your time.Lastly - Its time to think about a bigger building, with better parking, a stage and holding area for purchased lots safe from all the sticky fingers.

More $ Than ExpectedI took a truck load of tools, household items, and some collectibles thinking I would get a few hundred dollars, I ended up with more than $500! The only issue I had dealing with Bean & Bean was the communication, no answer to my website inquiry, the phone number on web page routed me to another phone number and that message was never returned. I finally found a good phone number on Google (of course).

Small facility, but great staff. Very helpful
