This is the second time I have used Jim & Daves services. Their repair tech Paul came out both times to my location and has been very timely, professional, and helpful when I asked questions about what the issue was and how I may prevent it in the future. Paul even wore a mask both times in my home which I greatly appreciate as a high-risk person. For todays issue, he happened to have the part in his truck and was able to diagnose and fix the issue in one trip! I would highly recommend going with this company. I did not get their names, but the few times I had to call the office to make an appointment, the women I spoke to were also very helpful and courteous. Great customer service all around!
The tech was good but my lord a 15 minute job a 45 dollar part and it cost me 222.00 and some change unreal I can’t even believe their in business I’ll never use them again
We had Jim & Dave’s out for refrigerator repair. The Technician, Cory, is definitely knowledgeable, skilled, and professional! He went right to the issue, made timely repairs, and explained what happened so we can avoid repeating this in the future. We highly recommend Jim & Dave’s for appliance repairs!
My husband and I were so fortunate to find JND Appliance! We own several Kitchen Aid appliances. Our 5 year old refrigerator stopped working. JND scheduled a service call quickly, followed up quickly with the service call to diagnosis the needed parts for repair. Their diagnosis was right on! The parts were ordered and installed and the refrigerator is working beautifully. While the technician was here, he was also kind enough to share extremely important information about the 1 month old Kitchen Aid dishwasher that was installed by Home Depot. Thanks to JND, we are now using the proper dishwashing formula to be able to get the best results from our dishwasher. After using the suggested sample product he gave us, it was obvious that the dishwasher operated more efficiently and the dishes sparkled as did the inside of the dishwasher. As a side note: We have cherry hardwood floors in our kitchen. Cherry is unforgiving. The technician was respectful, careful and left no evidence that he had even been in our kitchen. We will always be using JND for our appliance service needs! THANK YOU JND!!
These repairmen know the appliances and give good advice about replacing or repairing the appliances. The office staff is professional and helpful. I would highly recommend this business.
Great prompt service, BUT was quoted by phone $21.70, CHARGED $21.70 on my credit card, THEN was asked to pay $70+ for the same part (not including labor). Feeling bad, I ended up talking them down to around $50 but shouldnt have paid a penny more than the quoted price of $21.70.... beware.
Had a dishwasher repaired under warranty. Had to use J&D as per warranty requirements. They were overbooked the first time so it took them close to a week to get out. Even though they knew the issue and had a very good idea of what was wrong, they dont bring parts, thus requiring a further delay and another visit. Well over a week and a half later (if not 2 weeks) they finally got the dishwasher working. 3 weeks later, it broke again, same problem. Again, they had a very good idea of the problem, showed up 5 days later and had no parts in hand. Now we have to wait about another week for parts and another visit. In the last 6 weeks, our dishwasher has been unusable for almost 4 of those weeks. I dont blame them for the part failure unless they were using non-factory parts, which I was told they are not, but they could be much more prepared. Im guessing they get paid per visit by the warranty company so its more money in their pockets at the consumers expense. The techs both times were very professional and knowledgeable but their processes and systems are 1980s. We live in a time when things can be got quicker, done quicker and more efficiently scheduled, but these folks dont get it.EDIT: Its broken again just a few weeks later. Either I have a lemon dishwasher or somebody doesnt know how to fix dishwashers? You decide. I guess I have to call the warranty company again to get it schedule. What a pain!! I guess were down another 3 weeks. Just glad you didnt choose Mr. Speedy as a company name. Ha.
Run as fast as you can and as far away as possible from this service repair company. The absolute worst. Would give 0 stars if possibe. I have been without a refrigerator/freezer for almost 6 weeks now...including Thanksgiving. Lost all my food, and now have staples using a cooler. Big, expensive French door Whirlpool, 3 years old. In 1 month, the service tech (loose term) made 4 repair calls...to diagnose a couple of times, 2 weeks later to return with parts and fix. On this 3rd visit, same tech spent 3 hours fixing things. Told me upon leaving dont buy a lot of groceries, like a Costco run, for at least 8 WEEKS! I asked why??. He told me if anything is going to break, it will be during that time. Really????? Surprise. The very next morning, my refrigerator/freeaer was out again! Dead. He never fixed anything. This tech knew very well what the problem was from day 1, but he lied, lied, lied. My compressor and evaporator were done. I called the office the next day, tech had confirmed it was the compressor, and he would order, so I scheduled another service call 2 weeks later...earliest availble. The day of that serivce call, I called office to reconfirm. Oh, no....no compressor, but he would be coming out with some other random parts. On this 4th visit, same incompetent tech shows up with NO parts, but was he there to diagnose again! Yes, shocking.....it was my evaporator and compressor! Ill order today for you.....again! More lies. Got a call back 2 days later....parts not available; therefore, no shipment date in the future. If parts were never available, tell the truth in the beginnning!!! Plus, I have NO records of any work the tech performed...he never left me a receipt of any kind at each visit. I had to call the office to get one after his 3rd visit. Very questionable.....The incompetency at this company is staggering. So, after 6 weeks of this nightmare with this lying/deceitful company, Lowes offered a buyout. I will get a new refrigerator (not from Lowes). I did not chose this service company, but was assigned by Lowes. They should NEVER contract with this atrocious service company. Im also going to report them to the Better Business Bureau.Try going without a refrigerator/freezer for 6 weeks......
Whenever I have issues with appliances I call Jim and Daves; Ive had them out to work on my dryer a few years ago when it was under warranty. They saved the day for me; recently, Ive had problems with a refrigerator that was under warranty and the technician came out to advise the best route to take. Thank you to the support staff for always being very responsive. Appreciate having a reputable repair shop available.
Ruben was outstanding! First visit he quickly analyzed problem and ordered necessary parts.Second visit, actually showed up early and went directly to work to install needed parts.Ruben is courteous, professional and exhibits confidence in his work.In my opinion, Jim & Daves should consider Ruben a great asset to the company.
First of all he was here on time . It didnt take him long to fix the problem with our refrigerator and told us how to do it if we have the problem again. He also told us what filters we need for the refrigerator and where to order them. We really appreciate knowing where to order the filters because the place we use to buy them has gone out of business. Thank you!
Our fridge went down just a few days before Christmas 2019. I called late Friday and left a message. On Monday morning I spoke with J&D appliance and they had someone out here to look at the fridge on Tuesday morning. The circuit board had blown, and of course we were in a panic that all our food would be spoiled for Christmas. They were pretty booked, yet ordered the part for us asap and were back to fix it first thing Friday morning. Their telephone customer service was outstanding and Aaron, our tech, was so understanding and professional. He really cared for our issues and made us feel so #1. I highly recommend this business for your service needs. Thanks to J&D Appliance our Christmas is going to be just amazing. Thank you all!! Your company is fantastic!!
The repair man that arrived was very knowable quickly identifiedthe problem by listening to drier, stated cost to repair and offered options repair or replace, no push either way. Very honest company.
Great service once again from Jim & Daves! They have been out several times to work on a few of our appliances. Each time they have been professional and taken the time to explain the issue. If they are going to be later than the two hour window provided, they call to let you know (this only happened one time). Very friendly and knowledgeable.
Being a property manager, Ive used Jim and Daves Appliance multiple times, and cannot say enough good things about them. Their prices are more than fair, if they feel its better to replace versus repair, theyll be completely up front about that. The prices are never inflated and service is always prompt. If only all companies in the area could be this honest. They will always be my go to!
Professional and respectful, keeping costs in mind and being up front with everything.
We work with Jim & Daves for our own home and refer them to our clients on the homes we inspect. They schedule you quickly and most always resolve the problem. If not, they lay out the problem with concise explanations. I never feel like Im being ripped off or strung along to spend more money with Jim & Daves. We highly recommend them for all Northern Colorado!
These people go above and beyond, are so helpful and polite, and know what they are doing. Customer service is amazing as well. Ive been using them for several years and they have been excellent every time I call.
Great service, professionally installed washer and dryer even though they put them in the right place oh, I wish they would have reverse them due to the dryer opening. Would definitely do business with then again Gary V.
I cannot say enough about how wonderful this company is. Not only do I trust them with 500+ rental properties. I also would not call anyone else to service my own home. The office staff and the technicians are AMAZING!
Best service ever!!My microwave oven door latch broke.Rubin the service tech/engineer had the problem diagnose & fixed within fifteen minutes of his early/on time arrival.Outstanding service!!Thank you!
This company does not have sufficient capacity to handle all the work they take on in a timely manner. They cancel appointments with little notice and take weeks to return with the parts to complete the repair. Avoid.
I have used Jim & Daves many times for various repairs and have never been disappointed in their service. Theyre knowledgeable, courteous, honest, and fast. They never leave even a small mess.
Other than one bad experience when our LG refrigerator was dying, Jim and Daves has been extremely reliable with expert service and information for all of our appliances. Im happy to recommend them.** Given Jim & Daves response to this review, I guess I wasnt clear: My BAD experience with them was with my refrigerator. The technician was not well informed and was not good at interacting with customers. He ended up making a very bad situation even worse. But Ben, the technician who has worked on most of our other appliance issues, has been consistently great. (Mary Anne)
Weve had Jim and Daves out a few times in the past year for recurring problem on our double oven. One of the control boards was obsolete but they managed to find a shop to rebuild the board. Dean persevered to get it operational for us. Good company. Good communications. Timely and efficient.
Great Customer experience with JND Appliance! They listened intently to my dilemma, gave me expert advise. They also let me know their schedule and were able to fit me in when a slot became available. Hap, the technician, was prompt, courteous, and polite and did a great Job. Price was very reasonable. I will do all my appliance purchasing and servicing with Jim and Daves!! Thank you!!!
My experience with Jim and Dave’s was great! Responded to the warranty call promptly and set up an appointment. The tech was courteous, responded to my questions and cleaned up when he was done. Will definitely use this company again.
The service from Jim and Daves Appliance was outstanding. Technician Korey was very knowledgeable and efficient. The folks who manage the phone calls / scheduling also did a great job. Thank you!
We have a large professional range that developed a problem in one of the burners and I called Jim and Daves for help. These larger ranges are complicated to fix and we needed someone knowledgeable to do the work. After reading online, it seemed like the spark module needed replacing. I even considered doing it myself. Ha! That would have been a mistake. As it turned out, there were multiple problems that had cropped up with this range. It is 10 years old and needed some service for sure. Brad patiently and professionally handled it all in stride. He got GE involved along the way for help. He had to order parts at multiple points in time. More than anything he was gracious and polite along the way. The invoice amount for parts and labor was extremely fair. We now have a range that has 10 more years of life! I cannot thank Jim and Dave’s enough. We won’t use anyone else for our appliance repairs. It is very difficult to find customer service like Brad’s. Thank you.
We have always had good success with Jim and Daves. Today was no exception. Hap came out and fixed our washing machine. He was prompt, professional, and courteous.
Always feel like these folks truly care about you. Good service, friendly people...who could ask for more!
What an awful company.1) They obviously milk warranty work for every dime. They have no interest in actually fixing your appliances they just come out over and over again and order more parts. They proclaim it fixed and it never is fixed.2) Customer communication is non existent. They will not inform you when they order parts or when they expect them to come in.3) The day of your appointment they will call you with their arrival window. This would be fine for a one and done deal but 8 service calls later thats a lot of wasted time.4) The owner defends these business practices and truly believes there is no way for her to provide a better customer experience. So there is no hope that it will improve. Conclusion, if you must use this company because they are the only ones who do warranty work in your area (like me) request Hap. He may be the only competent one in the organization. Otherwise, only use them if you have way too much time on your hands and would like to waste it waiting around for never ending service calls with no solution.
I called Jim and Dave to service three appliances. Brad came out and took care of the issues with my dryer and washer in short order. He then delivered the bad news about our fridge. The compressor was out. The repair was going to be $700. He gave me a couple days to consider what I wanted to do. I gave him the go ahead to order the part. He did. He then came out a few days later to install the compressor. Shortly after he began work he came to me and asked, How you would feel about saving some money? He informed me that it looked like the compressor wasnt bad, but it appeared to be a switch which would cost $125 (not $700). Since this was Friday he wanted to let the fridge run through the weekend to make sure that the problem was indeed the switch (He didnt even charge me for this visit). He called Friday afternoon to see how the fridge was working and then followed up Monday morning as well. Turns out it was indeed the switch. Brad couldve installed the compressor he ordered and I wouldve been none the wiser. Looking out for the customer this way and testing the switch on a lark turned out to be huge win for me! This kind of regard for the best interests of the customer as well as the timely follow up speaks volumes about Brad as a tech, and Jim and Daves Appliances as an organization. What a great experience. Thank you.
Good service. When problems with our washing machine persisted after the first service call and we needed another service call, we didnt have to pay anything extra because they warranty their service.
Jim & Daves has been my appliance warranty service provider on many products and in many homes. They are always very courteous, knowledgeable and try to go the extra mile to make sure my needs have been met and my appliances have been fixed right. I would definitely call them again.
They used to be the best service around, several satisfied repairs. Now, they have lost it. Called Whirlpool for a warranty repair, they contacted Jim & Daves. An 8-hour window and the tech no-showed. We called J&D and rescheduled for today. This AM they call and need a dispatch from Whirlpool or they have to charge us for the work. I ask why, since THEY set the original appointment AFTER Whirlpool contacted them. J&D claims Whirlpool never contacted them, but could not tell me how they knew to set an appt with us!?!? 67 minutes on hold with Whirlpool to straighten it out and was cut off. When we do get hold of Whirlpool we will demand a different service company.
Had they come fix our fridge at our shop. They replaced a cooling fan ($227). It never reached the correct cooling temp. Even two days later as we were closed the day after the work was done the fridge temp was at 52 degrees! Called to inform them and all I got was we can have someone there next Tuesday that is a week away. Really so we have no fridge for another week. You would think they would send someone out today to fix what they didnt the first time not make us wait another week.UPDATE: the fridge is now fixed and working great. They came back at no charge to us to resolve the problem.
The administration staff is very rude and are not accommodating to your schedule. They do not know when the technician will be at your house till the morning of and give you a two hour time frame. Then they call 5 minuses before they get there and expect you to also be there. Someone HAS to be there to let them in and they cannot go in your house even if you authorize them to. They expect you to just wait around for them to show up. Also this is the second time they have had to come because they did not fix the appliance right the first time.
So I took the time to read all of these reviews AFTER the fact they have been out to my home. I usually never do these online review things but I am beyond frustrated, upset, disappointed and completely MAD with this ridiculousness!!Rude, unreliable, no communication between anyone there!! No recommendation here!!Damn its going to make give them at least 1 freakin star to post.
Arrived on time. Explained exactly what happened, fixed it in one visit, explained how to prevent future problems & cleaned up after! My new resource & appreciate the fridge magnet!
I would like to commend Dean for fixing my kitchen aid washing machine with a new clutch rather than suggesting I get a new machine.
This company is a great company. On time friendly and honest.
Theyve been out 5 times, still havent fixed the problem. Made one trip just to tell us how poorly dishwashers are made these days and how they all use plastic parts. Said they had to order a new assembly. Finally returned with the new assembly. Didnt solve the problem. Said they needed another part. That was 6 weeks ago. Still havent heard from them. They dont do anything unless we call them first. Save your money and go somewhere else first.
Steve and the office staff are professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. I will only use Jim and Daves Appliance in the future.
Had a horrible experience with this company. I rarely write bad reviews, I prefer to give praise. In March, we scheduled a simple repair for a top drawer of our dishwasher. No one had checked the kit prior to coming out to our house. The kit was missing parts. It would really be a good idea to check these sort of things before coming for a service call. This was a waste of our time and the technicians time. While at our home, the technician used foul language when he discovered that parts were missing. We waited over a week to get rescheduled with correct parts. At this time the technician was sick and they had to cancel the appointment. OK, these things happen. On the third try, we had to schedule in the afternoon on that particular day, as we werent home that morning, and had to leave again by 5pm that afternoon. At 4:45 we receive a call that the tech still had another stop and then could come by. Sounds like pretty poor scheduling. We canceled. We had already waiting three weeks to get our dishwasher fixed. The next day, I called another appliance repair man in Loveland. We gave him the make, model & serial number over the phone. He came out the next day and fixed our dishwasher in 20 minutes.I never received a bill for the work from Jim and Daves, but over the phone they insisted on payment for a service call. A service call where they didnt even bring the right parts.
Have had Jim and Dave’s out to my house twice. Once to repair my refrigerator, when the ice maker wouldn’t work. The second time was when the washing machine wouldn’t properly cycle. We use Home Smart through Xcell energy, which meant we weren’t charged for either repair. The company gave us a date, and the tech called us on the day of the appointment to tell us when he would be there. He explained that he couldn’t tell us an exact time because other appointments might take a little longer than expected. Very professional tech.
Technicians from Jim and Daves are fantastic! On time, efficient, reliable, and do a great job.
Had a noise coming from the frig. Tech came out twice because the frig wouldnt make the noise while he was there. He figured out it was a motor and gave us a price of $120.00 for the fix. He fixed it and did a good job. Nice guy. We paid our $120 and the problem was fixed. About 2 months later, accounting calls me and said we owed them another $68 for the tech having to come out twice. I explained what happened and the lady said OK, Ill take care of it. Another couple of months or so go by and today I get another call from a different lady for accounting. You owe us $68. I paid just to clear up the issue but Im very unhappy with how this was handled by Jim & Daves Appliance. Unprofessional and shady. Theres lots of appliance repair businesses. Use someone else.
Brad and Jo run a great operation - very professional and they are well equipped to handle problems big and small -- I wouldnt hesitate to use them when needed.
They have always provided prompt and reliableservice. The prices are reasonable, and I feel like I can trust their advice.
Was told 76 dollars for diagnostics and that the 76 dollars would go toward the parts and repair needed as well. 178 dollars later 140 of that going to less than a half our of labor... my washer is fixed. However the prices was almost worth questioning. Needless to say I would not recommend this place unless you want to be over priced. One star for atleast fixing the issue. ( the part needed to fix was 33 dollars) 😅 I chose the wrong career choice if 140 of that was for 15 min of labor.
Came out twice to fix the dishwasher. Changed parts on said dishwasher and still didnt fix the problem. $200 later and its still broken.
Quick to call back and schedule. I would recommend Jim and Daves to family and friends. Fixed the issue we had and were very fair and honest with pricing.
If I would have read previous reviews, I wouldnt have allowed them in the home. Simple warranty fix complicated beyond reason because they couldnt get the part right from wherever they get their *parts*. Yikes. Found an alternate solution to SOLVE the problem after three weeks with no fix from these guys.
Great service. Fast and friendly and most importantly fixed my fridge that no other company could. Would recommend to anyone.
Prompt, reliable service. Have worked with them for years.
Had a good experience. Tech arrived in the same day when other companies wouldnt come for a week. He identified the problem quickly, but had to order parts. Came back 2 days later as promised and fixed the problem. Turned out there was another broken part that wasnt discovered during the initial visit. The tech replaced that part too, but didnt charge me for it since they didnt discover it during the initial quote. I agree shoe covers would be nice.
I previously had Action Appliance repair man come out (big mistake) and he told me my year and half old Bosch Dishwasher needed a new pump and control board and just get rid of an $800 dollar year and 1/2 old and go buy a cheap one to replace this one. Thank goodness I was mad and contacted Bosch directly and they said to have Jim and Daves appliance repair come out to look. Guess what a very nice gentleman came to my door and looked at my dishwasher and in a very short time repaired it with no parts and it runs like the first day I received it. Dave is GREAT and he even cleaned the floor when he was done. If my mother was still alive I would recommend Jim and Daves Appliance repair to her with pride. THANK YOU DAVE!!!Colleen L
Ben, from J&D appliances did a GREAT job yesterday on servicing our oven and answering ALL our questions, very knowledgeable! Thank you J&D
Happy with the service from Jim and Daves. Came as promised and charged a fair price. Would use again.
We are always satisfied with their services! Thanks for being a great company to work with!
Very reliable, always on time, friendly, honest and professional.. Their diagnosis is always spot on.
Cory fixed our dryer and was very professional and friendly! Very reasonable cost.
Bough a refrigerator from Lowes which did not work properly. They came out 3 times and just wasted my time. They told me they would call GE to get me a new door which holds the touch screen and Keurig and I never heard back from them. I called after a few weeks to follow up and they told me to just call GE myself since they could do nothing. HORRIBLE SERVICE. I would not recommend them to anyone.
We have unfortunately had to use these guys twice because they contract with GE for warranty work. Both times they gave us an 8 (!) Hour window to wait for their repairman to show up. The first time, the repairman called half an hour after our window had passed to let us know he wasnt coming. Both times weve used this company, they send someone out to tell you that, sure enough, your appliance isnt working right. Then you have to wait another week plus for them to receive a part and reschedule an appointment to actually fix your appliance. This time around, my family of 5 has been 2 and a half weeks without a dishwasher. When I called today to check on the part they ordered, the receptionist was incredibly short tempered and rude.Long story short, I would not use these folks if given a choice. And I wish GE would find another local company to do their warranty work.
They schedule service calls 2 weeks apart. This is now the 3rd visit and the 6th week without a fridge. I guess this is prudent if you dont need such items.
They never told me there was a fee for them to come diagnose my dryer until they sent me a bill in the mail, and the guy who came out said he couldnt/wouldnt fix it unless I moved it, which Im not capable of doing. Then when I spoke to a manager about it, he called me a liar and kept interrupting me and was just overall a complete jackass.
So I call Lowes service for my washer and they set me an appt with Jim & Daves which apparently is the only factory authorized repair place for my area for GE (Haier) for the factory warranty (12 months) not extended which I have also. My washer started shaking violently, regardless of any size load and I figured it was out of balance internally. I need to point out all of this info is linked online now. Lowes is linked with Jim & Daves and can see their schedule and of course Lowes verified that I was under the factory warranty and Jim & Daves can see this also on line. The first appt went fine. The rep said there is a factory bulletin on the self leveling feet and a software update. He would order parts and they would call to schedule when the parts arrive. This is when the problems started. The second appt was set on a Wednesday and I got a voice message on Monday that i missed from a gal, saying they can look at my unit on Monday instead of Wednesday as they have an opening earlier now. She also stated that I had to provide proof of purchase when they arrived and that if she doesnt hear from me its okay, the appt is still on for Wednesday. I thought it was weird that I needed my proof of purchase, as Lowes set the appt and they verify my info, before they set the appt with Jim & Daves. So the appt is for between 8am and 1pm on Wednesday and at 1:05 I call Jim & Daves to find out whats going on. The same gal that left me a message answers and says, I never contacted them and that she left messages Monday and Tuesday and they needed the proof of purchase. After I told her that she left ONE message on Monday and didnt say that you needed my receipt in advance. I also asked why she needed a receipt for obvious reasons and she blamed it on GE, saying they require it regardless (Yes, Im angry now as I dont like being lied to) I said I need you guys out here please.. She puts me on hold and comes back making excuses, never apologizes and asks me my name again and that time I interrupt her and ask her If I can call her back and then hang up.There is a reason this review is this long. I want people to know the entire story and what they tried to pull) I call Lowes and tell them what happened and she resets my appt. I mentioned about needing to have my sales receipt and the Lowes rep said thats the first time she has ever heard of that and states, Jim & Daves can see your information online like I can. This is linked with them. So the new appt date nears and the gal from Jim & Daves again calls to move the appt up. I agree and she asks about my receipt again, so I just take a pic with my phone and send it over. The end of my issues right? Wrong. The day of the appt, the service guy calls and says we have a problem. Your are out of your factory warranty and even though you have an extended warranty GE informed us that this repair is not covered and we have to charge you. I tell him the date of purchase and that we have two months left and he quickly acknowledges he can see that now on the paperwork and that the Service Manager told him I was out of warranty. When the service guy gets to my house, I ask him whats going on with all of the miscues and he tells me the Service Manager did not want to do the repair for free and wanted to charge me. I said even now? He said yes and that he was arguing with the him and the tech finally said, we are a service company only and this guy is under warranty and left to my appt. The Service Manager did not approve him coming out. All it was, was a software upgrade and new load leveling feet for the washer as the factory material was cheap and smooth and it caused the washer to slide around. I apologize for the length of this however, there was a lot involved. If not under warranty and you have options, I would do your own due diligence before using these guys.
We have an LG refrigerator that J & D appliance worked on 2 years ago. they said it needed a new compressor and so we paid to have one installed. The compressor is out again and so I called them to take a look, they said they no longer work on LG refrigerators and that part only had a 90 day warranty.
Spilled water on range which caused oven to stop working. Long story short, Jim & Daves quoted nearly $600 to fix. Seemed very high, so I did some research on my own which led me to buy a new control board through Sears Parts Direct. Sears helped me diagnose problem, order right part and pointed me to install directions. Part cost me $90 and took 15 minutes to install. When I called Jim & Daves to ask why they wanted to charge me $600 to fix, they had nothing to say.
I wish I could give them negative stars. One of the worst appliance repair experiences of my life!First, the repair man that showed up smelled like he was in a sealed closet smoking for 3 days, but I can get past that. What I cant get past is incompetence. He diagnosed our dryer as needing a control panel then said he would go and order the part. It was going to cost us $60 just for him to come out here so we went ahead and scheduled them to do the work. Set up an appointment for 1 week, the following Fri. He shows up Friday only to inform my assistant that he ordered the wrong part, but assured her that he would expedite the part for us. Monday the parts dept. calls me to tell me the part is out of stock & that they would call me back. Weds. still no word from them so I called them, again being assured that they would call me back once they found out the status of the part. By Fri. I still hadnt heard from them and was no longer doing the oh thats ok song.At this point the parts dept. girl flat out lied to me and told me that they had called & left a message. I told her that was a bold faced lie since when you call the number she did she wouldve gotten our fax machine, so there was no possible way she could have left a message. This would be lie #1Next I tell her that she needs to call Whirlpool and have them expedite the part, I dont even care if we have to pay for the extra freight, (which we shouldnt since A. Larry the repair man said he would have it expedited and B. Its not our fault he ordered the wrong part). She then tells me that Whirlpool will not talk to her, this would be lie #2. After that she tells me that Whirlpool will NOT expedite parts, lie #3. After that she gives me the part number and phone number to Whirlpool to tell me that I can call them to get the part expedited, at which point I just has to ask her, So you want me to do your job for you?.None the less, I call Whirlpool and after a very brief time on hold I have the part ordered & for just a couple of dollars more I even have it expedited with an email stating the tracking # & estimated arrival date.. (Imagine that???).Another week goes by, I am now 3 weeks out without a dryer and twin 4 year olds, so you can imagine how unhappy I am that this has taken so long.On Monday I receive word via email from Whirlpool that my part will arrive Thurs. On Tues. the parts girl and J&D calls me to tell me that my part from them is expected on Fri. or Sat. I just had to ask why, when they are an appliance repair business and supposedly ordered this part 2 weeks ago, the part they ordered would be in 2 days AFTER I, a nobody with no business relationship with Whirlpool am able to get it 2 days sooner than them????And at this point the parts girl hung up on me.The bottom line is that somebody or somebodies dropped the ball on this and not one person would fess up to it. I would have had so much more respect if she would have just said, Im so sorry, we messed up.And to top it off, the part number that she gave me, (which I repeated back to her twice), was the wrong part again. So even if we had gone with them, they wouldve tried to put in a control panel for a gas dryer on our electric dryer.I would only use this company if you dont need your appliance for several months.... and even then Id rather stab myself in the eye with a dull spoon repeatedly than ever have to deal with their parts department again.
Can only review their phone service, as I never was able to speak to a person. Tried calling during their published business hours to get service for a fridge on the fritz. Went into a phone loop that kept saying no one was available and sending me back to main menu. Did not give option to even leave a voice mail for service to contact me back. So I give their phone service one star. Cant say how their technicians are since it looks like Ill be calling another company that actually answers their phones
Overall outstanding customer experience!
Don’t even bother.... rude from the first phone call.I see why they have so many bad reviews.....
Very honest and efficient services
Consistent, on schedule, friendly & acurate!
I have never had someone treat me with such disrespect as the technician who came to my house today. He would not listen to or respond to my questions and told me the reason my dishwasher wouldnt dry was because of the soap I use. When I asked if he was going to at least look at the heating element he said no. I called the office to complain, but was told that I was wrong and was not offered additional help. I will never work with this company again. Frankly if I could give zero stars I would.
Have called them more than once but the last two times ran into a scheduler from hell. Save all day and they will let me know at 8 am when they re coming because they are too busy. . Argued about the type of washer I had. So irritated I am just going elsewhere.
Tech was late to the job, never took a tool out and does not wear booty covers.Never use these people. They are as bad as an attorney $60 for telling me there is nothing they could do. There are a lot of other companies out there that are fair. These people are not fair.
Was put on hold for 15 minutes and when I tried to call back there was no answer in any department. I am wanting to purchase a part and will now just order it on line. This is why store fronts are going down...sad.
Had 3 appliances needing to be fixed. 2 got fixed, the 3rd never did. Took 2 months to get an invoice.
