Great time at the Louisville Courier-Journal the print site being closed
I cannot get my paper delivered. They do not deliver the paper except every other day if youre lucky. i have been taking the paper for almost 30 years and have never seen such poor customer service. They will not contact you. DO BETTER COURIER JOURNAL!
The mendacious CJ is not worth reading if it were free. They abandoned any pretext of reporting news and serve as a propaganda arm of the Democrat Party. Even my friends on the left have abandoned the CJ because it distorts the truth and has been reduced to a just a few pages. What happened to the Metro and Business sections?
Used to sell the Louisville Times back in high school. Both it and the CJ were great newspapers than. Now they no longer publish the Times and the CJ is not worth paying what they charge for it. Especially now that you can get your news online.
Spoke to Lawrence Macon, Sales Director. He sold this paoer to me under false terms at a local Kroger store. He gave me his business card and told me to call him if I had any issues. Well now I have issues and he suddenly cant help. I called customer service, was on hold for over 30 min when a call rep answered. I told her the issue and her response was we have nothing to do with it and then hung up on me when I let her know that I was calling from a recorded line. She knew that she was wrong and quickly got off the call. I have filed theft by deception case on this company. They took money when they were not authorized.
I was promised my money that should not have drawn from bank account I have not received it yet it no have matter but it over Drew my account other than that I guess know other matter.
Have had to call to try to get my Sunday paper every Sunday for the last 4 weeks. Keep calling customer service, and told they will fix the problem. Never do, and if I don’t call before 10 am, you’re not getting it. Terrible service!!. Wish there was another newspaper I could get.
Signed up at a Kroger for Sunday delivery. Am being charged more than what was stated. And Im receiving papers daily.. Feels like a scam! BEWARE!I have been trying to cancel my subscription for quite some time now. Highly dissatisfied with customer service. Ive called on multiple occasions only to hold for more than 30 mins each time. Its unfortunate that hold times are so long and clearly CJ doesnt value their customers time more.Update: left number for call back on automated line - no response still.Update 2: emailed as suggested and no one has contacted me. On hold again for over an hour this time and still no answer. 1 hr & 24 mins someone finally answered.UPDATE: still being charged as of 1/12/18 after speaking with them, canceling, and being reassured my subscription was canceled and I wouldnt be charged again. Back to waiting on hold. Recorded line states hold time 1:33 - 2:20 hrs! Beyond ridiculous!

Their delivery process is beyond horrible. Weve had major issues with intital delivery and stopping of delivery. Their phone customer service states they can clearly see that service was both started and stopped. However each time Ive had to call repeatedly to tell them I was either not getting the paper at all or was continuing to get the paper at a rental property long after I moved and canceled services. It makes absolutely no sense why they do not have a clear process to make sure delivery is correct. I had someone call me after I had canceled my service to sell me a new subscription. Maybe you should move that sales person into your customer service department because clearly you all have a lot delivery issues. I am now on hold for my fifth phone conversation to cancel my service after it has already been cancel multiple times.
All this company knows how to do is print lies and trash about people. Shame on all of you for thinking youre above the law, and above peoples privacy. Some things DONT need to be made public, and you should respect that. Id love to see this company go bankrupt and burn to the ground. By the way, your service SUCKS.

Not a good place to work but I love the paper.
Lame paper and online content. Now you have to pay for it! Super lame. Hate the rolling ads on the pages. Content is mostly negative and editing is mediocre. To give them credit, we are a small city with little more to do than point out others mistakes. Seems like most of our news content is meant to pass judgement on others. Should focus more on the positive things people do in this city--even the ones that didnt go to high school here.
