I bought 2 sets of furniture from this store in 2011. We was paying $300 a month for furniture. $180 of that $300 was going into their pockets. When confronted about it, the guy had the unmitigated gall to say “Well, we need to make money and pay the bills too.”I had a warranty on both and was told that if i did not use the warranty that it would go towards an in store credit. What they neglected to tell me was that I had 6 months to use the in store credit. I talked to the personnel at the store and at corporate. Both people played the blame game and wanted to transfer the call back to the other.I worked at an in store call center for Ashley Homestore. I know all the games and tricks. This place is full of something and good customer service is not it. I will NEVER buy anything from this store again. I will, however, go into the store for ideas, take pictures, and shop elsewhere.
Loan sharks should be jealous of the way this place swindles hard working people out of their money. $700 bedroom suite that costs you more than $3000 when youre done paying.
I recently purchased a leather black sectional and a Savannah bed room set from Value City in Louisville, KY. Im 24 years old and I have been too plenty of funiture store in the area. And value city was easiest too deal with and gave me the best service. I came in the store and Bill greeted me a smile and bottle water and some popcorn which was new to me, being a black man, but he was really cool, helpful and patience with me. I went ahead and did the RAC program with the store and for my furniture. They acceptance me with open arms got my payments together and paid one of the contacts off today so that lowered my payments alot. So I give the program a low score because the longer you pay the more you pay obviously. But if you pay off one of your contacts before your first payment is alot cheaper and less of a headache.
This is the worst buying experience I have ever had. The furniture looks great in the showroom and the sales people seem very helpful. After that, look out! The delivery came on time; however, the furniture was not delivered in good condition. The dining room chairs my wife and I purchased were unlevel by 3/4 of an inch despite us having new and level floors in our dining room. The delivery guys said I needed to have someone else come out and level the chairs. The sectional couch we purchased gets even better. The delivery guys did not even hook the sectional together. The sectional doesnt stay connected despite 3 service calls. One of the leather seats had two obvious scratches that were covered up with a brown marker. Another section had a bent frame and it doesnt stay in the seated position. It is now March 8th, and they are not going to come look at the couch until March 27th at which point I will then have to wait for a call to schedule another appointment for the service person to come back and try to fix my couch once again. I bought my furniture at the end of September. If you call Ashley, they will give you a bunch of lip service about how they will fix everything to manufacture specs; obviously they dont have any idea how many visits or months it may take to get it fixed right.I will never shop or refer anybody to Ashley unless you want to spend good money on subpar furniture.
My boyfriend and i just bought ALL of our furniture from ashley furniture (the one behind jefferson mall). they were REALLY helpful, VERY nice, and no they are not racist. im sure the only time they told anyone they were disrupting business is when they were disrupting business. of course theyre gonna ask questions... to make small talk to try and be friendly... not because theyre nosey!!! they have very nice and good quality for not a bad price! i was kinda iffy about getting out furniture at ashley because i always hear about them being pricey, but theyre really not... very reasonable. like i said, we got our bedroom, living room and dining room ALL from there. if you decide to go check it out, ask for Patrick... he was awesome! oh and about the other ladys comment... they tell you as soon as you order from them that it usually takes 2-3 weeks for delivery BUT THEY CANNOT PROMISE ANYTHING!!! they told us that from the beginning AND that ALL SALES ARE FINAL!!! im sure if you dont listen and pay attention to what the salesmen are telling you, you would be upset.
