This place changed my life and helped to craft me into the man I am today. Very thankful for this place and for Rob.
Keith Williams recently joined the team at Louisville Mindfulness Center. Before then I worked under his supervision for 9 years where I had the privilege of doing co-therapy with him many times. He brings something very special and unique to the therapy session. It cant be quantified or even named sometimes but the outcome is the person leaving services in a better places than they started. He has a comforting ease and leaves you feeling cared for. Plus, his knowledge about families cannot be surpassed. If youre looking for a therapist please consider Keith, not only is he an excellent therapist but hes a great person.
I had the extreme privilege of working for Keith Williams since 2016 until he moved to Louisville Mindfulness Center this year. Keith embodies everything one strives to be as a therapist and his experience is unmatched. Keith will warmly and calmly challenge his clients to be the best versions of themselves, in all their identities and roles in life. He will walk the path side by side with his clients with nonjudgement and compassion as they explore the complexities of the human experience and work toward wellness. If you are looking for someone who will be with you in your toughest moments and not give up then Keith is the one!
I had the joy of working with Keith Williams for the past 6 years to serve families and children struggling to even talk to each other. Keith’s ability to tell you what you need to hear, while helping you confront difficult truths is warm and yet unyielding to get families unstuck and learn to move through challenging times together. He can also wrap things up in a nice metaphor to help make sense of what needs resolved. Cannot say enough good things. Go see Keith today!
Cannot recommend this wonderful practice enough and it’s many qualified therapists. Kathryn Petrey’s kindness, insight and patience was the life boat both my wife and I so desperately needed. She supported us through a tough time and instilled in us the tools needed to see through any tough times in the future. Should we need to, we know we can comfortably seek support from her again. The Louisville Mindfulness Center is a breath of fresh air and a safe space for all.
Maggie has been an invaluable resource to our family as we struggle to make sense of the complex maze of services for our children, from our son’s learning challenges to our teenager daughter’s anxiety. Maggie is incredibly knowledgeable about the latest research and thinking, and is always willing to listen and can even recommend pertinent reads in response to questions. She has a really special way with kids, so naturally kind and accepting, and mine both felt very comfortable opening up to her. She always says just the right thing, not intending to perhaps, but nevertheless succeeding in making me feel just a bit better. She has the formal credentials that one looks for in our situation, but on top of that brings so much more to the equation through her nurturing character and clear commitment to her work. I would highly recommend Maggie to others seeking assistance and support with similar challenges.
Margaret is a kind, competent and authentic therapist. I have worked with her as a colleague for several years and find she listens well, works hard and is constantly seeking to improve her skill set as a therapist. She works well with families, teens and children and has training in a variety of approaches--including play therapy, experiential approaches and trauma focused care. I recommend Margaret as a therapist to several people, and her other colleagues at the Louisville Mindfulness Center as well.
I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside Margaret for several years as her colleague. I highly recommend Margaret as an effective therapist who is fully invested in her work with her clients. Her approach is compassionate and understanding and she is highly skilled in assisting others on their journey of healing and creating positive change.
Gotta say, this place has changed my life. 2019 threw a lot at me, and I wasnt really sure how I would be getting through all of it. After leaving my old therapist, I started seeing Chris here. Over the year, he has helped me navigate through trauma, insecurities, and the messiness of divorce without even batting an eye. He is challenging and kind, and he takes his job seriously without seeming clinical. Ive never felt more comfortable with a therapist. I owe a lot to the LMC.
Margaret is such an outstanding therapist. If you’re nervous about therapy or if everything just feels out of control, she is definitely someone you will want to work with. Margaret has an incredibly caring and compassionate presence; no matter how you’re feeling about life, talking to her will make you feel important, understood, and respected.
Chris Davis is the Michael Jordan of therapists. I honestly get excited to go in and share with him, whether good or bad things have happened. I know that whether I feel good or bad, when I walk out of the mindfulness center, Im confident in myself and that everything is going to be ok. To me, thats worth its weight in gold.
Please consider my colleague Chris Davis to be your therapist. His compassion, creativity, personal connection, and life experience make him a competent and trustworthy guide.
Thoughtful & caring
Margaret is full of warmth and compassion. Her use of Havening is wonderful!
I recently attended a mindfulness session here with Megan Bartley as a group mindfulness guide, and it was a wonderful experience. Considering all the stress that day-to-day life can bring, work-related or otherwise, it can be hard to slow down and take a breath on your own. Counting/breathing exercises or meditation tracks can be helpful at times, but in-person human guidance is something that can never truly be replaced.Megans tone and attitude in our session was warm with concern, care, and attentive presence. Even in a group setting, where Im normally prone to social anxiety and Am I doing this right? introspection, I felt myself ease into a level of relaxation and comfort.Visiting her required less than an hour of my day; it was time that I was happy to give, and time that she was more than ready to use for transforming my negative thoughts/anxieties into positive and in-the-moment reflections.I showed up dreading the humdrum activities of tomorrow, but I left enjoying the air in my lungs, feeling the energy in my body, and savoring even the smallest details of an average days routine. The short and sweet of it all: Id definitely recommend her as guide to mindfulness and mental relaxation!
Megan and her associates are amazing! They truly are the best!
