Yesterday I posted about Best Buy/Geek Squad automatically debiting my debit card w/o prior notice for a geek squad contract renewal. They do not take phone calls, online live chat disconnected me 3 times. I had to go into the store today to take care of. So what took them one day to take 201 from my account will take 10 days to put back. I do not recommend shopping at Best Buy/ Geek Squad. Unless of course you like giving people free access to your money. There are other places to buy electronics, service & repair. That wont use your funds w/o notice.

I have a new home theater system that is under factory warranty. Called and made an appointment two weeks ago and a geek squad member came out twice taking pic’s of red line in middle of the screen. Was told that problem would be resolved by today. Haven’t heard from service man who told me that it would be resolved by today. Tried calling the geek squad and was put on hold three different times with out having someone answer. Really frustrating. Looking at the reviews can’t say I’m surprised. I’m calling Sony tomorrow to let them know how all of this has gone down.

We bought a service contract last year in September for all our technology and appliances. At that time it sold for I think $149.95. Well worth it for us.Very responsible Corporation.

Worst customer service Ive ever seen. Couldnt get anyone to help with car radios. And they walked off an never came back to help. ended up just walking out. Will never be back. Ridiculous!

I went because water was borderline poured onto my laptop due to my roommates dog and all the geek squad members could tell me was there was water damage and water damage gets worse with time past that they were extremely dismissive with all of their responses and seemed to not really care to help. The team members I met were either extremely ignorant to technology or extremely lazy. Either way I would recommend going to any other geek squad so that you may actually get service.

Highly recommend Geek Squad at Best Buy for I phone repairs. So much faster and less crowded than going to the Apple Store.They replaced my battery and my phone was ready when it was promised.

Took my computer in because it wouldnt start. Young lady brought it out. She stated she just rebooted it. Of course I had done that at home and it didnt work. She removed my password and did not tell me leaving my computer exposed. She was rude. The store manager was rude. I made a complaint to BBB and to the national office of Best. Buy. Their customer service stinks.

Understaffed majorly. Been waiting in line for 25 minutes now. The guy in front of me for 40 min.However the service when we got to the guy, was great. Very knowledgeable, and kind.

I will NEVER use Geek Squad again! They are a bunch of liars and thieves! Took my laptop in and was told it had to be shipped out to a 3rd party for repairs (they did not even look at it before deciding to send it out), charged me $84.95. The third party said I needed a new hard drive and battery for an additional $232.12. AND said it would take three to four weeks!!! I said no to this, took it to another and was told the hard drive is just fine, just needed some drivers updated and the battery just needed some settings changed! As far as I an concerned they stole time and $84.95 from me!

Had a problem setting Mirosoft SQL 2005. After paying for the one time service I got Jeremy at Geek Squad. I explained the problem. He said he would recommend restarting the computer. I told him I had tried that several times. He said he could not do anything because it was against policy. He did not ask any questions about the problem or even attempt to do anything. I strongly recommend not calling these people at all. I really dont think they know anything about computers. If they hired Jeremy as a tech person I am sure there are more like him working there as techs.
