While this place may look okay inside its clearly not worth the money or time. Made a same day appointment and the moment I walk in ( no more than 30mins after the call ) they act as if they had no clue who I was or what I was there for, mind you the barder gave me his name on the call. Needless to say that shouldve been the first red flag it was a bad idea to come here. Either way, I saw the haircut through and clearly the barber was nervous or something cause he basically had no clue what he was doing. Kept staring the cut in some areas and then once they realized they messed something up, they just completely stopped and started within a different area only to try and go back and try to fit any damage like it was an afterthought. After 20mins into the cut and realizing it wouldnt get any better I was pass ready to leave. Ended up going to different shop altogether where they actually got the job done and REALLY fixed a bad cut. Needless to say, l wont be coming back to this place.

I found Dalton three years ago. It had been a decade or longer of going place to place and never being satisfied, but the guys at Woody’s are old school and great at it. I say old school because they use clippers like clippers should be used and finish off your cut with a straight razor. That’s what I had been missing until finding Woodys. While Dalton is my guy, I’ve seen the others guys work too and you simply can’t go wrong seeing anybody. If you are seeking a real haircut, come to Woody’s.

Since moving to Louisville, I have really struggled finding someone to fade my kids up the way I liked it. Daniel Jordan was awesome for my 11 year old sons hair! The fade was flawless, razored and blended the top and those LINES!? What!? Then he styled it all while explaining the products and the steps for my son to style himself when he gets home! It was awesome! The atmosphere was a real barbershop vibe. We will be back next month for sure!

I recently had the opportunity to experience the Westport shop and was greeted and cut by Daniel. I can honestly say it was a great experience. He was professional, kind, and constantly checking to make sure everything was to my standards. While getting my hair cut, beard trimmed, and highlights he was sure to show me what product he was using and explain its purpose. I felt relaxed and comfortable at the shop, even the other barbers in the room were sure to communicate with me and make sure everyone in the shop was comfortable. Overall I had an awesome experience at Westport, and would highly recommend you stop in for a visit.

Got my hair cut by Wayne the man. He did an amazing job. We had great conversation. He was very friendly. He worked on my hair meticulously and made sure I was satisfied. This was the first time I visited this place and I did not know my hair can look this good. Fade was perfect! He took his time and did not rush at all and I am talking about saturday morning. I stopped in to get my hair cut on lunch. The location is great, and the establishment itself is very nice. Wayne got to me quickly and gave me a perfect fade, he really took his time with the scissors and it shows. Woodys is a real deal barber shop. Id been going to a simple Mom n Pop shop for a couple years. Wayne was fantastic and fixed the disaster I had stuck to the top of my head. I went in for the first time Wednesday and was blown away. The atmosphere was awesome, all of the barbers were extremely knowledgeable, and the customer service alone was spectacular. As for the actual haircut, Dalton squared me up just right. I have never had so many compliments on a haircut before. I’ve found my permanent barber.

Spencer did a excellent job on my sons hair. All of they guys are very nice and professional. I would recommend this shop to all men. From what I got to see these guys can do whatever you ask for. I even overheard some great beard care tips from on of the barbers.

We decided to try Woodys Barbershop on Westport for my sons first haircut after seeing some little boy cuts from other places that werent so great. Im so happy we made that decision. Josh was fantastic with my son. He was patient and the cut looks extremely smooth, not at all like an assembly line cut. I cant get over how good it looks! Josh also gave me some great ideas for products to try with our other sons hair that is curly and leans a little more on the frizzy side. We will definitely be back and will be bringing our other boys with us!

This morning was my first time coming in after being told to come here multiple times from a friend. Walked into a clean, sophisticated shop and was greeted right away. Met with one of the professionals named Dalton and let me just say, he is the MAN at doing what he does best! He was well informed and knew exactly what he was doing. Got me in and out within 30 minutes after receiving a suffice fade on the sides and back. Reasonably priced and real friendly environment! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Thanks man!

Great find, I am new to Louisville and I have been looking for a new barber for a few months now. I have had the same barber in Cleveland for over 5 yrs and it was difficult to trust and find someone new. I get my hair cut every 2 weeks so I needed to feel comfortable and after speaking with Josh I felt comfortable enough to take a leap of faith and he was excellent. He did a great job! I highly recommended Josh......My son is home from school for Thanksgiving and he just got a hair cut from Josh and he loved the fade and cut that he just got!

I use D.T. on far back left when you walk in to get my haircut. He is great at talking to you while getting your haircut. He spends a good amount of time with a straight razor cleaning up around the edges. I was getting butchered at Great Clips and he really was able to clean my haircut up and does an excellent job at it and wouldnt switch barbers for any reason. Hard worker and highly recommend using him while there.

Great shop. The 2nd locations of Woodys, this location brings with it some of the look and feel of the Highlands. Got my hair cut and my beard lined up by Wayne. Wayne made it easy to get what I needed even without the typical barber jargon. Definitely recommended for those who know what they want and those who dont.

I walked into Woody’s a few minutes before they closed to check it out for the first time and inquire about their day/hours of operation. They immediately welcomed us in and offered to cut my son’s hair despite the time. It has a very west-coast vibe and all the barbers felt like friends by the time we left. Their clients include guys and gals. A chore that my 12-yr old son usually resists like a cat at bath time, turned into a great experience and his hair is “LIT” (I’m told that’s a good thing). Will be back.

My beard has never looked better and Wayne really took the time to not only get it right, but to educate me a bit and try out some products I hadnt used.I have changed up barbers from here to there looking for a great barbershop that was also close and convenient, I have found both at Woodys. Great job!!Great barbershop and great barbers. Brought my son in for a cut and he’s was quite pleased. Staff was very friendly and the customer service was great. Felt very at home considering it was our first time at Woodys. There are cell phone charging cables installed in one of the benches so you can charge your phone while you wait. Too cool! 20 bucks a cut is more than fair considering the quality and attention to detail.I only gave three stars because of the wait in this shop. I’m used to waiting for a cut at other shops that are known for a long wait so I’m not one that expects a quick in and out. Quality cuts take time, but there is a limit. My son and I walked into Woodys today at 1:40 with 4 other patrons in line ahead of us. We didn’t not walk out until 3:35. Woodys closed at 3. Just under two hours and there were 3 barbers cutting the whole time. Names were on a chalk board so appointments weren’t the issue.I was at Woodys long enough to go through ranges of emotion. “Holy cow what’s taking so long”, “man, I can’t believe we are still here”, disbelief, wanting to punch myself in the face and finally just giddy laughing at the situation.The cut was great as were the prices, but I don’t know if I’ll be back or recommend to others.

Wayne was my barber on Friday and did an amazing job. Best haircut Ive had on the east side of town! I saw some comments where they think its pricey but worth it its really not that pricey. These guys really take the time to get it right, give advice, offer style tops, and they dont charge for those extra pro tips. Ill keep going here and tipping strong, ready for the straight razor shave next time. Only suggestion bi have is for the owner, get a small bar with some beers man and this will be the spot for guys on Westport road. Rooting for you all!
