This doctor office is very unprofessional and very unorganized when it comes to scheduling appointments. I’ve made numerous appointments just for them to not follow through and then they would send me an email saying that my appointment was completed when I didn’t attend.

So unfortunate how clinics are created to help those in need yet you feel like the security it not there to keep you safe or out of harm. So many EMPLOYEES SMOKING all around the building, security does absolutely nothing. Homeless have started living next to the back entrance where there is wheelchair access. Ive also overheard a doctor complaining about having a higher education but has to work here while waiting on my doctor. Just terrible

Terrible doctors office. The physicians do not take your medical information seriously. Made an important appointment weeks ago, tried to call them early to let them know I was in traffic and got no response. I walked in and they told me that they couldnt see me at all. Its janky, it smells, the restrooms are dirty, and the receptionists are no help at all. Im currently looking for a different office.

I have been a patient on and off since the 80s. T.H.E. really lived up to their name, Ive seen them help everyone. Some time you wait a long time to be seen done time you dont, but they eventually see you and give you the medical care you need or refer you elsewhere.They took great of me during my last pregnancy.I had some health issues during that pregnancy and was referred to a high risk clinic. Long story short, that baby was a healthy 9#4oz, he is now a healthy 215lb man, 31 years later! Thank you THE.

Their answering services are just awful. Ive been on hold for over 40 minutes now, its extremely frustrating. Customer service needs to be improved.Update: Ended up waiting about 70 minutes, representative never answered. I tried to leave a message by pressing * and it did not work. How is it possible that a doctors office has such terrible service?

I had the best experience here. The nurses are nice. The doctor was amazing. I spent less than 3 hours here and I was out. I didnt even experience that with my old primary doctor. I didnt have to wait long on the phone and customer service rep was patient. She answered all my questions and concerns. There was literally no one in the waiting room. The reviews almost scared me but Im glad I just went because my overall experience was nothing like the reviews. I suggest you check this place out yourself and rate your own experience. Preferably in the morning.

The best in town T.H.E.Clinic start from front desk who always welcomes client with a smiles and the doctors who always care for his or her patients..believe me because I been going to T.H.E Clinic since I have my first child and now Im almost 60 year old.

The quality of my care has downgraded since PA Tran Vo has left. The call center staff is very rude, and I have longer wait times then before. I always enjoyed coming here and receiving great care, but in a few months this will no longer be my medical home as I am moving to the San Gabriel Valley and found a great doctor to continue my care and excellent medical group. I wish I could leave 5 stars but I dont feel that I am receiving the best care as I did while under the care of my other doctor.

I came to T.H.E. a couple of months ago at the recommendation of a friend, and am so glad I did. I had heard horror stories of wait times at other free clinics but was delighted to discover here that there were no long lines of people waiting to be seen at T.H.E.. Instead, I found a very nice, clean place that was so well run. The staff were all very welcoming and courteous. I did not wait here long at all but was in and out before I knew it. Another great thing about T.H.E. is that they treat the WHOLE person, physically and mentally, with a focus on prevention. And you cannot beat the cost. I totally recommend this place. Dr. Derrick Butler is great, and so is Neil Martin and Gabrielle Guzman and all the rest.

LETTER EMAILED TO CEO 25 MAY 2019:Based on my ongoing experiences at THE Health and Wellness Center, I do not expect a response.Having said that, I have yet to meet anyone that works at the clinic who does not present a Im better than you - youre on Medi-Cal therefore you dont warrant any respect attitude.This includes the persons answering the telephone (having to wait) for over 15 minutes to the staff checking you in at both the Clinics on Western Avenue and La Brea Avenue. All of them are rude and dismissive of about any question asked. Yes, I experience constantly.I watched as the counter person practically jumped over the counter at the Western Office because she felt that the person was not understanding what was being said. Reporting this to a supervisor/management yields the same dismissive rude attitude. To add salt to the womb, while standing at the counter losing patience, they began to talk to each other in Spanish which! I have nothing against speaking Spanish or any other language, but I truly believe that if one begins to speak to you in English, they should continue the entire conversation in said language this includes with a supervisor or manager arrives.It is a prerequisite for employment that one must be extremely rude and dismissive with patients?I am on the verge of reporting your staff to the California Medical Board, the City of Los Angeles, the County of Los Angeles as well as the state of California Department of Health and Public Service.This is total disgrace! Something must change!

While its been almost 10 years since I was last treated at what was then called the Dr. Ruth Temple Health Center, thanks to the caring and professional approach taken by all involved from the sign in staff, to the nurses, doctors and Health Department representatives, my recall of that experience remains as vivid as if it had happened last week.At arguably the most difficult and trying time of my life, this clinic took care of my medical issues while also taking care to preserve my dignity and self respect.Thank you.

Excellent service! When you look at now many people they service they are the best community medical service in Los Angeles. They are professional and complete in there examinations. They refer you to other agencies when needed. very pleased.

Definitely grateful for this little medical center planted in the hood but the facility and staff and entire center can use some work. Its very dillapidated in here and the staff look over worked and annoyed and were definitely trying to ignore and overtalk every question I had about my visit. They had to reschedule my visit over something so small and was a waste of my time and money coming up here. I am definitely dissatisfied with the service here. As a medical practice, I expected a lot better quality service, staff and services. Please get it together and do better for your people and community. Thank you.

I was never informed I had gallbladder stones after an ultrasound that was performed. I had to find out from my VSG surgent who had also received a copy of those results. They gay guy in the referral department is very rude and unprofessional, I ask for his name and refused to give it to me. Staff in call center are very rude when trying to make appointments. Its a shame Dr. Sheppard left the facility, he was a good doctor compared to the rest. I have seen many doctors after him and none care about his patients like he did.

Went here for a TB test years ago when the plan to be a preschool assistant became a reality. Results were negative, as usual, just like me. Upgraded to the clinic thanks to my surprise and courtesy of Medi-Cal coverage. Nothing bad or good. Not everybodys kid is meant to be treated, spoiled, reprimanded, or disciplined like my own.

I have been here twice for birth control and the staff on the third floor are mostly girl. They are loud, rude, ghetto, they dont say good morning no type of hospitality. Instead they are talking about their PERSONAL life while they are giving me the cup to pee in. As a patient one should be prioritized im sure she can find time to talk about her party but that shouldnt be on the patients time. I get treated better at McDonalds. Very horrible staff someone needs to retrain all these i professionals who call themselves professional. They seem unhappy to work here.

Very unhappy with this Clinic.Ive been coming here for years, I have been to all of their locations, the Western location is the worst, the staff is rude the place is gross.Hawthorne, Lennox and La Brea locations were okay.My issue is the doctors Ive seen over the years have lately just quit.The patients needs here go unnoticed. Trying to make an appointment, trying to get a refill, trying to get a referral seem like an impossible task.Just seems that they dont care about their patience any longer.well Ive had enough Im out of here. Goodbye THE and good riddance...Im going to another doctors office.

I made an appt they sent me to the clinic on Hawyhornr and 104 th. I’ve been waiting for over 2 hours. My appt was at 4. It’s now 5:30 I arrived at 3:45. The staff is nice. I think the doctors are having tea in between patients. I don’t see what takes this long. My next appt I will request not to ever be sent to this site.

My girl been here several times already and every time they seem to loose her file and she sits here and have to refill out another freakin form again!!!! Who keeps loosing a patient’s file over and over again??? All the staff looks miserable like they’re there just to gossip and collect a check. No care in patients’ needs. The security staff are the only ppl in that building that seem to have awesome attitudes, they can get 5 stars but this facility smh sorry but not coming back.

Dr. Roseline dauphine baptiste is the worse she needs professional training. You dont argue with patient especially a pregnant patient. The only reason why I go to this clinic is because I cant find a obgyn practice at all.

It’s very clean, and the Doctors are nice BUT I have a HUGE ISSUE with them answering my phone calls I literally just waited almost an hour trying to reschedule my sons appointment . 52 damn minutes waiting and WAITING for no body to answer the dang phone . And I clicked and called 3 more times & each time I called the Machine would says it’s transferring me and CLICKS ON ME !!!!!! The worst answering machine!!!

This place is great if you do not have any idea what is wrong, but they do not have affiliation with ANY hospital when you need it. The wait is horrible but to be exxpected....the free clinic is faster, less paperwork, and you do not sit in an arae labeled std check...it happens but why should they announce it by where you sit. Do NOT GO for child care...the ER is just as long and less paperwork where they will get you the meds before you leave the ER. POOR SERVICE & OVERWORKED INDIVIDUALS!

They dont give out lab results. They say theyll post it in your clinic account but they dont actually do it. Theyre hard to contact and they dont respond on emails.

Been waiting 4 hours just to see a doctor. My appontment was in the morning with plenty of people after me and yet somehow I was the last person to be seen. Even those who didnt have an appointment got seen before me. The place is heavily understaffed and if I could give it no stars I would.

Was in the back room for 2 hours waiting for the doctor and he never came. But other people were coming and going but me and my son werent being seen. I just walked out and left I will not be going back and I will be finding my baby a new doctor. Worst service I have ever had.
