Covid testing for up to 150 slots a complete LIE, doors were closed to people that had appointments for 10:30-11am and doors closed at 10:45am. Multiple patients came back a second day after being turned away with appointments the day before and got turning away again.Multiple kids for school and people for work testing waited for over 1 hour to talk to a medical supervisor, that never came. A number for IRENE was given to people to call and never picked up went straight to voicemail.

I can’t thank everyone Enough! Everyone is a hero in so many ways from the guard at the door all the staff and the wellness clinic their assistance interpreters, social workers and amazing Drs,!! They save me and they save my parents metal being. At a very to no cost, my parents receive the best medical attention that they need for the past 8 years and going. I refer people there all the time and they get the best service ever,! I thank each and every one there. This place is a true heaven send clinic. They will not promise to solve your problems, that is up to us if we follow instructions, but it sure bring piece of mind. With everyone’s support. God bless them all. Keep up the amazing work you all do.

As a 12 year old girl whos been here. THIS PLACE IS THE REASON WHY IM NOW LYING ABOUT MY MENTAL HEALTH. That place traumatized me and is no help. Please find another hospital. I do not recommend.

This is the worst place to take your children with mental health issues. The staff is rude and make you feel like youre not worth their time. They made things worst for my son.

God bless the workers at kedren Community Health Center .Honestly they went above and beyond call of duty to help me and my elderly parents.I took my parents there today for their second vaccination and my father had special needs and they completely accommodated us in every respect.I’d like to extent my gratitude for the administrative doctors, all security gentlemen in the parking lot area especially Mr Mohamed and the nurse Jenny James, and the maintenance person .Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart .You guys really made things so much easier today .God bless you for the sacrifice you do day in and day out .Edmond

Just completed my second dose at Kedren Health Center. Parking is a challenge but the Medical Staff, Registration, Security, and Crowd Control Staff were very professional and welcoming. I am a Health Care Professional and was very impressed with the infection control protocols that were closely adhered to when administering the vaccine. My husband and I found the process organized and expedient. Good Job Kedren!

Came for my covid vaccine in the evening time and the staff here are amazing.We were in and out in exactly 30 minutes.I appreciate every single person there staying until 11:30pm for people like me that cannot make the earlier appointments.

Horrible place. I didn’t expect much when my husband scheduled a Covid-19 vaccine appointment at this place, considering that it’s free clinic in South L.A. I am not going to attest to the clinic’s location or to the fact that it lacks parking for its patients or regular restrooms (only porter potties). I am going to discuss only my experience regarding obtaining the vaccine.We arrived at the medical center at 4:20 pm., well ahead of our 6:30 pm appointment. We were the first ones in line. However, the Center didn’t open its doors until 6:10 pm, even though it’s scheduled time to re-open for evening vaccines was at 5:30 pm. There were two lines formed one for appointments and the other one without. Illogically, at 6:10 pm, they let the “without appointment “ line to go first. Finally, they let in the “appointment line”at 6:20 pm. We stood on our feet for two hours without any sitting accommodations.In the end, center’s system’s crashed and everyone was forced to fill everything out by hand. The whole process to fill out vaccine passports for administrative staff was taking forever. Meanwhile, the staff insisted that people without appointments will go first. To add an insult to the injury, we were informed that the only vaccine available for first-time recipients was Moderna, although I had confirmed several times before with medical staff that they have both vaccines. At that point, I just lost my patience and left, was inoculated at Cedars with Pfizer without much delay without any problem. This is or tax-payer’s dollars at work! Just wasted my time and my time off work at this place.

I went to Kedren east111south to get my vaccine shot and had a surprising ly enjoyable experience. All the staff, from security to the nurses and the employees outside I the 15 minute area were all friendly and professional. Props to you all

I received my first and second Corona virus vaccines at Kedren and the service provided by the staff was excellent. Everyone was professional and caring. You guys are wonderful, keep up the good work!

Beware if you get the covid vaccine here. They charged my insurance for it and are trying to get $235 out of me. The responsibility is now on me to waste my time calling customer service numbers to appeal the denied claim. What a corrupt system.

Got both my vaccine doses here. Everyone is very kind and professional. I didn’t have an appointment for my second dose and got here abt ten mins before they opened and had to wait maybe 15 minutes maximum.

Frank advice: Leave entitlement and suburban expectations home. This is community health. Considering an already busy clinic also has to run an ad-hoc vaccination amid a crisis, this place does a pretty good job. I was in and out in 40 minutes (around 8 pm) and was given a second-dose appointment (walk-in) for 28 days later. It’s in a dense urban neighborhood with little parking, so it’s wise to have a drop-off plan on E 41st Place just west of Avalon if you’re arriving by motor vehicle. They largely depend on clients’ common sense to keep the 6’ spacing that they have marked, and to figure out the lines. Neither is difficult. Lines do seem slow at first but they advance in stages, by groups of 15, until you reach a room (kinda church-hall vibe) with properly spaced plastic seats, and thereafter the staff comes to you with documentation and the shot. It’s not slick, but it’s also not the DMV. (Same deal for the second shot but a longer wait on the walk-up line. Pro tip: while waiting I went to myturn.gov and scored an appointment slot about +10 minutes from actual time, so I switched lines and moved faster. Maybe make an appointment ahead of time or while being driven there?)

This is the worst place to get your vaccine. There’s absolutely no parking. They block it off so you have to find parking on the street. No access to handicap parking either and they take so long to give you the vaccine.

Idk what yalls talking about with how the nurses is abusive but my experience here was phenomenal, the nurses would actually want to make you feel better.I just find it disturbing how low the reviews are on here, its very misleading to others who may actually want to take therapy or have his/her kids here in the hospital. But for my concern, I would absolutely go back here to take therapy! 10/10 would recommend.

I never knew of this facility until it came time for the covid vaccine.i am considered a front line worker and this place was friendly, safe and wornderfull staff. this is a wonderfull place.

Is there anyway to get an answer about Moderna 2nd dose. Are appts. emailed automatically like all the other sites are doing? I have called all the numbers and emailed where I was told to with my question and still no response at all. I just want to know what time to take my parents back, their card says 2/23 for 2nd dose.

Do not go there for your COVID vaccine. My father couldn’t get an appointment for his 2nd dose since appointments were full so he decided just to do a walk in appointment since he didn’t have any other options (FYI: they will not contact you about making a 2nd dose appointment) Per my father they were very unorganized and they prioritized the younger people before the senior. He had to wait more than 3 hrs to get his vaccine. They also scheduled first dose appointments and second dose appointments on the same days and they take same day walk in’s so maybe that’s why they are so unorganized. My mom had her appointments at one of the locations run by the LA fire department and had no issues so maybe schedule your COVID vaccines through them

I was scheduled by Kendren to have my second dose today. I drove all the way there to find out they are closed for Presidents Day. THEN WHY WERE PPL SCHEDULED?? No email, no phone call, no sign instructing the hundreds of ppl who showed up for their appointment. I was told by a security guard to just come back tomorrow but I cant. I know these clinics are doing the best they can but it has been a month since my first shot so they had 4 weeks to reach out and try to reschedule everyone, fixing their error, and did not. I did not pick this day, they picked it for me. I knew it was Presidents Day but trusted that if I was scheduled on 2/15 by the staff they would be open. Disappointed and stressed out.

I got my COVID shot at the vaccination site here. The nurses, doctors and workers here were very professional and made the experience a lot less unnerving than I thought it would be!👨‍⚕️

I had a covid test appointment at here today. People walked through the testing lines and area both in and outside of the gate without masks, shouting at each other, while staff made no attempt to keep order. The staff did not even ask them to put on masks or stay out of the line. A table to fill out Kedren’s site-specific four page document was set up next to the line, so whether filling forms or waiting, you had to be in close proximity. At the testing area, there were four covered “cubes”. A staff member placed two people ahead of me in side-by-side cubes to cough prior to the test at the same time. She then sprayed aerosol in the air and immediately told me to go into the same cube. She did not provide any instructions for completing the oral swab test. When I had to walk from the test area to the vital sign station, I tried to give space to another person and a staff member, and the staff member kept telling me to keep walking, even though it placed me in close proximity to other people. Finally, when I completed my paperwork, all staff members were chatting in a circle, and I had to approach them to give it to them.My graduate degree is in epidemiology, and I am familiar with the CDC and WHO protocols for covid-19. This testing site and the staff there are putting many people in danger of infection, and these errors need to be corrected immediately or the site should be shut down. I have been to two other Curative sites in the Los Angeles area that have been run well, but this one is more likely to get someone infected than to help anyone.I spoke on the phone with a representative from Kedren, who assured me changes would be made - but this review will stay up until that site improves.

Horrible protocol for Corona. Half the people working there didnt wear gloves and masks and they didnt sanitize anything. Test results are taking a week to come back. Save your time and get tested elsewhere. Honestly feel like I got Corona just from going there.

I had to go through and answer all the questions to get an appointment and then it told me there were no times available. That question should be asked first before people divulge all their information.

Sadly many people will only see the review after they’ve made an appointment.This testing site is so bad. Made an appointment for 10:30-11, rage quit the line at 12:46.They’re undermanned, poorly organized, and management is no where to be found.The line didn’t moved at all for 45mins.Totally ridiculous and unacceptable.

Their COVID19 testing setup is so unorganized and garbage. No organized lines, no social distancing, does no good to make an appointment. They shouldve had signage at the front of the entrance parking lot directing ppl depending on if they have an appointment or not but no, I guess that was too much like common sense to do. And when we ask them about it bcppl would just walk up and break in like, they say they dont have anything to do with that. Just wow. If we didnt have coronavirus before we went to Kedren, Im sure we left with it.

When called, phone Secretary was rude and sassy. Not helpful at all. I understand menopause is a thing of nature but when loved ones are needed to contact their loved one all you get is how do you know their here? I cant go below one start but if it did it would look like a dried prune fruit like the workers souls that have no care or feel for the ones whom are truly hurt.

I was a little nervous about my son being taken to this hospital, I have to say this place is such a surprise, I found the staff to be so kind and respectful, from the security to the RNs they were helpful and tried to answer all my questions. Dr Daniels is absolutely a wonderful caring therapist. Dont be afraid of the other reviews, they are there to help you. I have to add, if you can get your loved one to be sure to put you on their Heppa form you will be sure to get updates.

Very helpful and professional! &) The receptionist Agnes was very kind in helping me locate my family member, and even though it was after hours I was even able to speak with him for a short time. Im sure this is the best place to be for someone in need of Mental Health Care.

We were told it would take more than 8 months for my partner to receive psychiatric medicine .We were referred here by Kaiser who had stabilized him and it took them 3 weeks to do so( without insurance). He sought help at The gay and lesbian center but it would take them 2 months for him to get medicine, so we needed to cover the gap because kaiser only gave us 1 month supply of meds. The girl at the counter (God bless her) referred us to a place called EXODUS recovery there is a few locations, we went to the one on 12021 Wilmington ave. That same day exodus gave us the prescriptions to pick up at a different location.

Very bad service

This place is sick. My six year old niece was placed here and was medicated with medication that is not only non-FDA approved but also has horrific side effects. My whole family is aware and will be pursuing with legal help in this matter!

My bed and pillow were both tarp stitched to itself... I had so many people working my case that I could barely remember their names.Most of the staff complained about having to do their jobs, looking after us patients, most of their shift and a lot of the nurses and social workers should probably be patients. I love they dangled a carrot in front of some of us in the form of a smoke break... but they hated letting us do it and often didnt have any cigarettes for any of us..I left in no better mindset than I went in, but just take your meds and smile to be released.. youd have to threaten my life in order to get me back here. Oh and the outpatient service I was directed by is an even bigger joke, especially cant one isnt even open anymore...IM GIVING 2 STARS for the small handful of nurses, doctors, and social workers who genuinely care about their patients and want to see them happy and healthy... these workers know who they are and just know that even if your help and counseling meant nothing to me as far as helping me, your attitudes made it possible to even put up with that place as long as I did..

No stars lack of care go to another place better trust me I know

Its a mental hospital to treat SUICIDAL CHILD patients and it was the COMPLETE AND UTTER OPPOSITE OF THERAPEUTIC!!!Terrible. How dare do they treat people with depression like that? How DARE they. Extremely rude staff. Especially the nurses. I was a pediatric patient. Also they give you shots when you dont behave without their parents knowing. Terrible just terrible service. I was tormented *TORMENTED* by how rude the staff was and please help us get this Hospital shut down. More like a violent prison. But the staff are the free prisoners. They keep you longer than other psychiatric hospitals do. 18 Days In this place. Some even stay a month. And other good ones keep you there for a WEEK.

The staff was very friendly and helped me through a very difficult time. They also made sure that I made it back to my home in New York safely. They were very involved and concerned with all aspects of my treatment.

I love Kedren the staff especially my Old Therapist Shaun Allen And Dr. Hasan These two women took the time to inform me that My Mental Health issues didnt have to define me as a woman and a human being. They always been available for me and my children who also have mental health issues. My life has changed tremendously since going to Kedren in 2000. Ive been able to get clean &sober and stay for over 15 yes. I never knew I was self medicating because of my strong family history of mental health. Today Im a productive member of society because of the staff and Kedren. Im forever grateful for Kefren saving my life Literally.

The name deceives what it truly is. This is not a place for a child. The symbolism im around the area is not just mind-boggling, but also creepy. When a nurse does not want to give you her name or any information on your family, it seems very odd. Personally i have witnessed abuse from the nurses and my son was falsely placed there and is now socially awkward and confused. They injected medicine on him when not needed, just because it pleases the staff. What a horrible emotionless place. This is not a hospital, this is a careless mental institute!

This place is not a hospital!! The nurses there are abusing the children. Every time I talk to a child they are very terrified to tell anyone what is going on because of the consequences. I have seen children stripped away from the parent and completely medicate to the point where they dont even recognize where they are at. They not just physically abuse the child, but mentally scar them and induce fear into their conscious. If you have a child in this prison called Kedren, please take them out and get a lawyer because this place will do what they can to keep them there and under their control.

I would give this place negative stars if I could. My young adult son was here and this place is no good. They gave him some sort of shot after he had to DEFEND himself like everyday he was in there and now I am demanding to know what this shot was? It has done something to my son. What was it DR. GRIFFIN??? Cara Smith Social Worker who could CARE LESS. The staff is ABUSIVE. They treated me like dirt when I came to visit. They make the patients go stand against the wall!!! ABUSE! They turn the newly released patients into the street with NO AFTER CARE - no communication (there was a note of a place to go for outpatient. THERE WAS NO COMMUNICATION for after care with the family. They dont care about anything but getting government money! CALL ME KEDREN! I want to have this place SHUT DOWN. Im just embarrassed to see that the star ratings of this place is going up, This place is a mental hospital, they treat child patients with mental health issues, INCLUDING SUICIDAL IDEATIONS AND ATTEMPTS, yet the nurses abuse these child patients, induce fear into them, threaten them, emotionally and very much psychologically abuse them, and yes, even PHYSICAL abuse. I was a patient there and I will tell you all these bad reviews is 100% true, Its even worse if you stay there. I came out with a very deep scar It was Hell. Shut this place down! The Nurses are the epitome of INSENSITIVE.

For the past Thirteen years I have heard nothing but poor reports concerning Kedren. The rationale given for keeping this facility open is due to the lack of other facilities in the area. Its sad the comments here. Kedren helps and the staff really care. Wait times are because of the issues us clients have and the time we take to talk our issues with our therapist and doctor. The staff take the time WE need as patients to be seen and if my session takes an hour and another client takes 30 minutes in a session thats cuz thats the time it took for our different problems to be expressed and resolved. AND they now do primary care. It looks nice and modern, compared to the main building. Everyone is nice and they say hello in the halls with a smile. I like that. Its not a looney prison like some of the comments say blow. Kedren has helped my kids behavioral problems too. Im done with my main therapy...I just go cuz of the wellness program and refills on my meds. My kid goes monthly to check in with behavior issues that happens at home and school. But things got way better over the last 6 months. THANK YOU KEDREN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why isnt this place shut down or sued yet, The nurses are really abusive, especially the childrens ward (that I was in) and they threaten you that you will stay longer for little things, The nurses lie to the psychatrist and she told me why I was Innapropriate and agressive? They want to keep the children here longer, I was here for suicidal tendancies but they yelled at me when I was crying, one of the nurse (I WILL CALL HIM BY HIS NAME) Mr. Patrick called me annoying when I was crying, How DARE they do that to a suicidal child? This place is beyond bad. they transfer you to different doctors all the time. the social worker that works in the wellness department is a feeble incompetent that should be fired. they make promise that they will help and fail to do what they promise.
