Design For Recovery’s sober living environment is definitely the best Ive ever sent my son to for sure. Micah has been to other places that were not even close in comparison. If you follow their rules and actually open your mind up to new ways of living you wont regret it. I recommend their sober living for those who really need a structured environment to grow in, the way they have it set up will definitely help change the way you view or do things for the better. My son Zachary was at his breaking point his mother and I had sent him to multiple rehabilitation centers and other sober livings. Nothing seemed to work. Then Design For Recovery gave Zach the gift of the opportunity to recover from a seemingly hopeless state of mind and body. The accountability within the house is amazing. The loving and understanding kindness of the staff gave him a good example of how to conduct himself as a sober person. Zach was never told what to do just given the opportunity to do it with kind understanding, guidance and direction. It was very clear to us that he was in a great place that genuinely cared about sobriety. The opportunity that Zach was given of a safe, sound and sane place to be at while he recovered from this horrific addiction has allowed him to re-establish my relationships with us, his family, Zach’s life was literally saved in this place I will forever be grateful for Design!

The managers and staff go above and beyond to make sure your transition after detox or rehab is exactly how it should be. If you’re truly serious about your recovery then this is the place for you. The house is nice and is in a very nice location. I don’t think I could’ve picked a better place for sober living in Los Angeles for my son.

Design For Recovery is the best Los Angeles sober living. They are very structured but also allow a lot of freedom. It taught my son, Landon, accountability and integrity, as well as helped him relearn how to live. Clients as well as staff take pride in the homes.

Definitely had some worries before coming in here because Id always had a fixed idea in my mind of what a sober house is...Design for Recovery Los Angeles is nothing like that.The guys here are all cool and always willing to help a newcomer in any way they can. It really made my transition back into the world as smooth as possible. I honestly owe my sobriety to their program!

I cant say highly enough of Design for Recovery Los Angeles Sober Living House and Mentoring Program. The amount of regeneration that these men exude is unparalleled. Its a lovely home in Playa Vista, but theres a lot more to it than meets the eye. The staff is polite and genuinely cares about everyone with whom they come into contact. As soon as you walk through the door, you will be welcomed heartily. . As soon as you walk through the front door of this sober living house, you will be greeted warmly. I wish there were more establishments like this in Los Angeles.

After repeatedly failing at other sober livings, I finally had the luck to fall into the hands of Design for Recovery. The program has an exceptional staff that was critical In helping me change, and I met some guys who I still consider best friends to this day. There is a perfect balance of structure and discipline to build a foundation for your future, while also allowing enough freedom for me to able to work on my goals which included graduating an educational program and obtaining my dream job. I couldn’t have done it without the help of this program.

I’m extremely grateful for everything that Design for Recovery has done for me. I wasn’t able to stay sober for more than 30 days at a time on my own. Thanks to the program at Design, I’ve been sober for 10 months and have amazing relationships with the people in my life. As a professional in Addiction Treatment I visited this sober living facility and found it remarkable. All of the tenants had nothing but, good things to say and seemed to have a very solid recovery foundation. The house manager is extremely attentive and has a truly inspiring recovery story. Very grateful for design for recovery. When I moved in I was lost and broken my relationship with my family was suffering. Not only did Vinny and Derek help me accept myself they helped repair the relationship with my family. This is a great place if you or a loved one are looking for a structured environment to get sober. I am so glad that my bother was able to find the help he needed here and made some great sober friends. Over the last year or two, he has been through so many programs, meeting a lot of people who relapse together. This house is different, I am not sure how they do it, but it is noticeable. Trevors attitude is completely different and he seems like he is changing for the better. I finally am beginning to see the brother that I know and love again!

When my brother was at his lowest point, we thankfully found design for recovery and it completely transformed his life! The love, compassion, mentorship, brotherhood and direction that Derek and David and the rest of the design team showed him was priceless. My brother learned life skills at design and is now living a life of sobriety and happiness. His success is a direct reflection of design for recovery and the time and energy they put into his life. He has almost two years sober now! I will forever be grateful to design and all the hard work that they did to give me my brother back!

Extremely grateful for everything this sober living has done for me. I stayed here for 3 months in the beginning of 2019, and it was a great experience. This was not my first Los Angeles sober living but it was my first structured sober living that taught me how to live a life full of honesty and responsibility. The management cares about each person they deal with and reached out to my family so that they could also be included in my recovery. The brotherhood and bonding between clients and staff is unlike any Ive had before.

So happy that my family and I found this sober living for my little brother. Over the last 7 years, he has been all over (Florida, California, Arizona) trying to get sober to no avail. For the past 6 months, Adam, has been in residential (60 days) and then transitioned to Design for Recovery for the last 4 months. Our family can finally sleep at night knowing that Adam is in a safe place and doing great. Derek makes it a priority to call my parents every week and he even calls me to give me updates. Everyone here really goes out of their way to make sure the residents and the family feel supported and a part of.

A true blessing to have found this sober living! My family was at our wits end, and did not know where to turn. A therapist referred us to Derek and I am so glad they did. From our first conversation, I trusted him and knew Sam would be in good hands. Very good place and good people. Great sense of community and brotherhood.

Ever since I’ve moved to Design for Recovery, they’ve giving me an opportunity to work on myself and allowed me to create a set schedule and healthy routine to live in. House rules are completely fair and there are house meetings Sunday mornings for us to talk about how we can improve as men, and become better versions of our previous selves. So glad that my wife and I decided to send our son here! Dom has been trying to get sober now for quite some time, and its always hit or miss with the sober livings he goes to after rehab. We immediately were drawn to Design for Recovery because of the structure and community, Dom not so much. After a few weeks in their program I could tell things were starting to change, as Dom started taking pride in the small things; getting up on time, making his bed and cleaning up after himself. It is so nice to begin to see the changes, very hopeful for what is to come.

After years of bouncing from detox to rehab, my son found Design. This house offers structure, they work WITH the client not ON them..After being in the sober house for over a year, I went to visit my son, I had to see the place that had saved him, and i was impressed .It was just a house, full of guys, but in thier own casual way they were all working that next step.

Just what I needed.... I have been to alot of sober livings and halfway houses over the last 5 years, but never have found anything as special as Design for Recovery. A few things that make this place different: staff actually care, and this is a safe, supportive environment. I love that there is structure, and everyone takes their sobriety seriously.

Our son was among the first ones admitted at Design for Recovery when they just opened their first house. We were skeptical and quite desperate because we have been through many years of struggle with his addiction. Now, more than a year and a half later, we can say that the staff is just incredible! Our son is clean and functioning, he has his life back! I dont know how they do it but they have such a personal connection and intelligent, individual approach in a very friendly, relaxed but structured environment. They gave us back our hope, our son, our life! We would highly recommend them to everybody. It gives us a great comfort to know that although our son lives independently now, he has the connection and support of the staff.

Design for Recovery is an all male sober living that creates a positive environment for alcoholics/addicts to grow and live their life. It gives them the tools they need to stay clean while having fun in sobriety. Their staff is well grounded and are highly invested in their clients to live a happy and full life free of drugs and alcohol.

I’ve worked in the recovery industry for 3 years and Design for Recovery is a fantastic program. It teaches not only accountability but also has a sense of camaraderie which provides a strong foundation for continued sobriety.

I had a very close friend basically my brother go here when he was down finally reaching his rock bottom he attended other programs and was never able to get significant clean time under his Belt.
