Dr. Choi nearly killed me in a routine procedure at LaPeer Surgery Center after ignoring my comments to him, the surgeon and nurses that I required intubation with anesthesia based on my last experience an anesthesiologist from the same company. The procedure was aborted when I inhaled so much fluid while sedated that I stopped breathing. Many months later I am still fighting General Anesthesia Associates about the bill for the aborted procedure, despite the negligence, and despite additional appointments I incurred cost from to ensure I hadn’t contracted pneumonia from the experience. It’s truly amazing how bad this experience has been and how lacking in any sort of empathy or understanding the team there is when I’ve tried to discuss it with them.
