Im so happy because this barbershop was able to provide me a masterful barber who cut my hair tremendously. It was these guys that offered me a terrific and affordable service that I needed, especially for my haircut. The service was all worth it, and I would be glad to recommend this barbershop to everyone. Nicely done, guys! Youre the best!

Ive been a fan of Floyds for a couple of years now. As someone who gets their haircut every 4-6 weeks their prices are very reasonable! I get the Floyds cut which is $31 and Ive never walked away disappointed. One of my favorite things about Floyds is that is very queer friendly, which is not always so easy to find in a reasonably priced barbershop. Floyds is also a doing a great job following COVID safety measures. There was only one other customer in there with me, we were far apart, they did a temperature checks, and everyone was wearing a mask.

Don’t waist your time here. This place is run very poorly and has been for years. They never put me with the stylist I want and I even call in.

Just got done getting my son son a haircut at Floyds – he looks so handsome now! The lady who cut his hair, Dominique I believe her name was, was chattin him up and sooo sweet to us! For $20 including tip I got him cut and styled/gelled and now he looks bomb! We also asked her to be extra thorough on brushing out his neck after, cause his hairs are so straight and thin sometimes they slip down through the collar. She obliged and we were good to go! Making the appointment as well as getting it done once we arrived!

They always do an amazing job with my hair, regardless of the stylists. Use their app to book in advance, but usually decent availability for walk ins. I highly recommend asking for Randy. I’ve never had a bad haircut and he’s very talented, plus he’s a fun guy. I’ve been going here for over a year and refuse to let anyone else touch my hair.

Gotta stop and take a second to leave a 5 star review. This is my third haircut here. Reason I’m taking the time to write the review is because of both Robbie and Jules. I went in for the second cut with Robbie and tried something different, ultimately after a week I didn’t love it. I hate more than anything being THAT guy, but I figured Robbie was legit very cool and would take care of it. I ended up coming back on a day that he wasn’t in and got an appointment with Jules. He was just as cool and SUPER caring. I explained what we tried and what I wanted to get back to. He asked me a ton of questions to make sure he was getting it right. Then completely on me - after Jules finished the cut I was still indecisive. He was so cool about it. He had another appointment but told me to chill and play around with the cut while he took care of the other dude and after that he’s do whatever else I wanted. I ended up loving the cut he gave me!So mega props to them for being so caring and attentive. In a city as busy as LA it’s nice to go somewhere where they’ll take the time to sort you out right and make sure you’re happy.Thank you both!

Saw Randy for the first time today. I was nervous because as a woman with short hair I feel comfortable going to queer female hairstylists, but I had this itch to get my hair cleaned up today! Glad I did because Randy was great. Super confident in his work, loved working with my curly hair and was really involved in explaining the process, offered tips for my hair, and told me about services that Floyd’s offers in between haircuts. It was fun and educational! Lol will def be coming back

Made an appointment here with any available stylist. Came in and waited to be seen by someone. After the receptionist took my info, she then came to tell me that the stylist is uncomfortable doing my haircut. What? She didnt even know what I was wanting to do as she didnt ask me. So shes uncomfortable doing a haircut that she has no idea what it is? Hmm. Maybe she shouldnt be working in a professional setting? Or maybe take a few more classes if you dont know what youre doing? Either way, went to the Floyds on Cahuenga and got a bangin haircut. Much better location anyway.

My son had only have one haircut with a hair stylist in his life at 16 years old. I bought them to Floyds, he had it all hacked off and absolutely loved it. His stylist was kind, calm, and very nurturing. The process left my son a huge battle Floyds! Thank you!

My hairstyle is ruined thanks to the lack of abilities from the stylist Stephanie. I showed her a picture of the style and she did the complete opposite. On top of that, she cut more from one side so my head now looks uneven.Do NOT go here if you care about getting a good haircut.

My son and I have been clients for the last 2 years. We both have been coming every two weeks to get haircuts by Randy. I was 5 minutes late on a Sunday and They Canceled my appointment. Unfortunately We will not be coming back due to terrible customer Service.

Always a great haircut. I’ve been seeing Randy for several years and he always does an amazing job keeping my hair in check.

Waited an hour and a half to get a seat. The girl with black hair cut my hair and rushed the cut because her friends came and wanted her to go out with them. Tipped $10 on a $28 cut. Got home and realized one side burn was a centimeter longer than the other. On top of that, the hairline curve where my ear is was extremely more dramatic then the one on the other side. The guy at reception was very nice and thanked me for my patience multiple times, that was very appreciated.

Should have read the reviews.. ATTITUDE... aweful experience. The girl that cut my hair show so much attitude... I came there for a haircut and does not really need to deal with bad attitude.. I told the front desk the girl that cut my hair was an a-hole... Will not come back.. Rather spend my money elsewhere....

Watched a live stream of a YouTube streamer going and getting his hair cut here. His stylist was MARIAH L. She was super chill, had attention to detail, and was very friendly. This is the type of place/stylist that is perfect for going to get your hair cut. Laid back atmosphere and really friendly people.

Cross your fingers and hope for a good barber if you are planning on walking in with no appointment

Ive been going to Floyds since I moved her a year ago. Ive been to both the Hollywood and Melrose locations and theyre both solid. Always friendly and always a good cut regardless of what barber I get. Cool music theme and laid back atmosphere. I recommend you make an appointment because walk in wait times can be pretty long.

Stephanie Avezanno best hairdresser and most talented. Does the best fades edge ups and her colors are off the hook. Put her right next to Guy Tang. Giving this shop 5 stars for profession cleanliness and speed. Always busy but always moving. 🤘

Good place to get your neck hair trimmed for cheap.

Im Giving only 3 stars because I know what a barber shop skills are and here, the girls just shouldnt cut mens hair.I asked for a zero high faded undercut and she told me that she doesnt do zero fades.Then I asked for a razor hard part, but she told me she cannot use the razor on my head.26 $, No shampoo, no scissors, 10 minutes.Thats very pricy.If you are used to go to your barber shop at least once a month like I do in my country, thats not the place for you.Its a good fast hair salon.I havent been served by a male barber so this comment is a warning for the guys who are looking for new hairstyles. Dont ask complicated stuff to the ladies.Please I do not intend to offend anyone.Cheers.

Some dude just gave me the laziest haircut I’ve ever gotten in my life.

My husband was getting his hair cut, so I decided to go at the same time to get a basic trim. I wasnt doing a dramatic hair change so I thought it wouldnt be risky not going to traditional hair stylist. I was wrong. I asked for a trim and that I would like to still be able to put my hair up into a ponytail. She cut 6 off my hair and gave me a horrible choppy uneven chin length bob. I actually really love short hair, but this is a horrible cut. I would have given a 1 star but its my fault for going to barber for a haircut... though I have gotten my hair cut at other Floyds in the past and have loved it.

I just moved to LA a few weeks ago and desperately needed a new look. I was extremely satisfied with my whole experience. Alyssa gave me, literally, the best haircut Ive had in a long time. I highly recommend going to Floyds and I will be returning for my next haircut.

Usually a hip and consistent place to go for a haircut, the Floyds chain is popular in the Los Angeles area. This location has young and impatient staff however. Try legends Barbour​ shop nearby for a friendlier experience.

This place is usually busy so call ahead for an appointment. Trevor is awesome and always gives me a great cut. Parking can be tough but I usually find a spot in the neighborhood behind it.

Terrible place to get a haircut. Booked an appointment for 4:30 and showed up 10 mins early. Lady at front desk told me to wait. 4:30 rolls around, no haircut. A walk-in comes and gets a hair stylist in 5 mins. Meanwhile, 4:40 rolls around and I get up to ask whats up. Lady at the front says to wait 5 more mins. WTF? Whats the point of making an appt of youre just going to make me wait when my appt comes around? This was my third time to this location. Waste my time.

They can never hold on to talent here, it’s always a stepping stone for people moving to la etc. been going on and off for a couple of years and some people there are good some are ok. Seems like they’re always way too busy or they’re super understaffed right now.

Very disappointing, cut my husbands hair and made the mistake of inquiring if there was time to do mine. would have preferred they suggest I come another day then a 10 minute shoddy trim at full price.

I’ve been coming to Floyd’s for about two years and have been going to Randy, who is an outstanding barber/stylist.Today, however Randy was on vacation, and so I let my boyfriend convince me to go to the Supercuts by my house. I had the worst. haircut. of my life. I stood up and walked out halfway through.I ran over to Floyd’s and told them it was a hairmergency. They had me in a chair within 5 minutes and the (I can’t stress this enough) PHENOMENAL Robby A. changed my look from rachet to ready-to-wear in no time.I’ve had a couple random cuts by other barbers here and ive never had a bad cut. They all seem to be passionate about what they do, knowledgable, and give you their undivided attention.

Floyds on melrose seems to be way way worse than any other choice :/. I had a photo of the haircut which I wanted to do and the hairdresser always turned me away from the mirror, so I couldnt see what she was doing. Btw, her hame is Stephanie. So when I asked her to finally show me what she is doing, she said she was working. Excuse me lady, but I trusted you my haircut. Now I have to walk with thismasterpiece and wait till my hair grows out again. They also took money for it. So yeah... Be careful, people. Some of them just dont listen to you and do whatever they want

Went in to get a hair cut with my brother and the receptionist just took his name down even though he told her there two haircuts getting done. After an hour of wait I get up and ask if she put me in the system cus I knew then she hadnt. So she says no and that I still have to wait another 30 mins even tho I was there waiting for my turn the whole time. I stayed and waited for another 30 mins, then another and then another and when I asked again how long I had to wait they said 30 more mins. I was there from 11am to 2 pm. The receptionist was so rude and I just walked out cus they kept taking people in that were there after me. Never coming back, thanks for the crappy service yall!

I came for a walk-in cut after having a good experience at another location. It was pretty busy and the receptionist told me it would be about a 40-45 minute wait. I waited for 1.5 hours and yet they still couldn’t get me in, so I left. Extremely frustrating waste of an afternoon.
