My barber from the other day was fantastic. He did an excellent job with my hair. My beard has been shaved, and it looks great on me. Since I look so fine, it gives me hope. Poor customer service: I called the shop prior to arriving and asked, “Do you take walk ins”.Ended up having to pay for parking and couldn’t be seen for close to two hours. You guys need some support with better communication to the customer.

Base charge was $50 and I got literally nothing off the top with very short hair. Just asked for a basic clean up of the sides and back. Absolutely awful value. Never again.

Ill probably come back here the next time Im in town. Its the perfect place for a shopping spree! Connoisseur treats include non-chemical, chemical-free, and chemical-free options. Both meats, as well as the rest of the menu, are delicious. Walking through this store can make you want to eat out more frequently and use your appliances more frequently.

Ive been here a number of times over the years and have ALWAYS gotten really good haircuts. The best haircuts in my life have come from here. Each time, I dont pick a style, just ask the barber to do their thing. Last couple of times a dude named Ricardo (I believe), hooked me up big time. Must visit!

This barbershop also accepts appointments and a scheduled basis which is a plus for me. After three times here, I must say that I’ll be a regular customer. I love the whole time experience here. Great service! I highly recommended this barbershop.

Have been coming here before the pandemic and decided to come during only to see a barber not following safety guidelines, this was the second time coming here to find him still not wearing a mask. He even sneezed and coughed while I was there, I was very concerned for my safety.

This was the haircut I’ve ever gotten.I just moved into the neighborhood and picked this place for my haircut because it looked cool but the guy seemed like he just learned to cut hair and completely ruined my hair.The fades are uneven on each side and he pushed one side of my temple and sideburn hairline in and the other one not making it clearly uneven.Worst haircut I’ve ever gotten I highly recommend you avoid this place at all costs. For the same price range you can go somewhere professional.

I live in NorCal, but was in LA on business. I realized I needed a haircut before my meeting the next day. I walked-in and there was a barber available. He had an appointment coming in, but he said he only had time to trim my sides but hed make it fly AF. I was in the chair and done in 25 minutess with a clean fade, straight part, and my impossible cowlick tamed. I had a beer while he gave me a cut and he told some cool stories about Chicago. The greeter was cool and knowledgeable about the products and what would be best for my hair. Highly recommend if youre in DLTA.

Beware some of the barbers can’t cut textured hair. (Any African in your blood choose a different barbershop) look for one with black people cutting black people hair.

Loved my haircut but having a beer in hand was even a different feeling. Kinda weird when theyre cutting your hair. But the faster you down it the better chances of not having hair fly in your cup. I just left this barber shop with maybe the worst haircut of my life. I showed the barber pictures and we agreed on a number for the sides and agreed that he’d take an inch off the top. Apparently inches have grown since I last checked because I have almost nothing left to style on top and the sides completely disagree with the absolute mess atop my head. The barber and I conversed the entire. At several points he could have asked for clarification or asked me what I thought. The man had the fine motor skills of a 2 year old gauging into my head with every clip. I left looking like I paid 6 dollars for a haircut from a haircut school. I have a general rule that all haircuts above $30 are better than anything less. This was an absolute exception as this haircut is trash. I won’t post a pic to spare myself the shame. I’ve never felt more unlike myself. Id like my money back.

Booked an appointment to get my head shaved. I got in a chair right away with a frosty mug of beer in hand. Daniel did a great job of cleaning me up with a straight razor. The atmosphere was really cool too. Overall, a great barber shop!

I have had trouble finding a place that can cut my hair because of my crazy schedule, I found these guys - the only ones open after 10PM on a weeknight and was able to stop by.Prices were solid and I was happy I could make it before I flew out the next day. Again only place open and best place I have had my haircut in a long time. Highly recommend them.It is better to call ahead and get an appointment FYI.

I wish I could give zero stars but the receptionist was super sweet I had previously Booked my appointment with Richie the barber, I was 5 min early.My friend let Richie know I was a little nervous, he takes one look at me and says Im not doing her hair I said Im fine, to which he replied nah Im good Im not doing it.I wasnt rude I wasnt loud and I dont understand what warranted had such a reaction from a complete stranger Ive never met before he made me feel super unwelcome and like I did something horribly wrong. The girl at the front and another barber saw my reaction and said that they would take care of me, which they did I believe that barbers name was Rick but I could be wrong.My point is Richie the barber was beyond unprofessional very very rude made me feel super unwelcome and like I offended him by just simply existing. I absolutely loved the Work the barber that did do his job but it was such a negative experience, no one should be treated in that way!

Wayyy overpriced for what it is. I really liked my barber personality-wise, but my beard was uneven and I had to point out every little thing that needed to be fixed. Then he took it too low which I had asked him not to do. I noticed once I got home that there was still hair on my neck that he missed. For $74 (classic cut and beard shape-up w/ razor) I expect a MASTERFUL haircut, but thats not what I got.I have had better haircuts for $20-35. Consistently.Theyre open late which is convenient for a last-minute, last resort appointment -- but I would not come back here as my main place for a haircut. My barber on the west side cuts better for $25-30 with a razor shape-up included. Also they used a shave oil product that Im allergic to without asking me first, and now my face has been on fire for the last several hours. Im probably gonna wake up with a rash tomorrow.I let my barber know I was having an allergic reaction to what he put on my face and zero effort was made to discount the price of my cut, which I didnt necessarily expect but would have been appropriate. I liked him as a person but probably wont be back again to be honest.

Hair is uneven and their either not wearing masks or wearing it without covering nose . I felt unsafe due to barbers not wearing masks and allowing other customers to come in without a mask on . Horrible experience and cut —- further I hope I do not get Covid from this place .

Was in LA for work and forgot to pack my shaving kit. The barber took her time and made sure all the lines of my beard were defined and there were no stray hairs anywhere. It took like an hour but I had the best shave I’ve ever gotten.

I came in to get my mustache trimmed, and the guy cut it to make it look like his own mustache instead of figuring out what would look good on my face.I paid $24 (including tip), and now I wish that I had just trimmed it myself at home. They did a much worse job than what I managed to do with my own clippers.Now I have to look ugly for a couple of weeks while this grows back.

Drove from all the way from Santa Barbara to get a haircut, Vitaly was the person who cut my hair and I have to say what a perfect job he did, I will drive all over again from Santa Barbara just to get a haircut with him again. He nailed my haircut perfectly, better than any barber who’s cut my hair in Santa Barbara. He was really friendly and a nice person to talk to while getting a haircut, I can’t say thank you enough for the great transformation he gave me, I felt like a whole new person after he styled my hair once the haircut was over. Richie the Barber is great! I pushed myself to try a new and shorter haircut, and he has since surprised me twice with great haircuts. 5/5 for the haircut and 6/5 for the whole experience. Richie the Barber is officially my go to now in DTLA

They always do a GREAT job cutting my husbands hair. He used to go to supercuts because he didnt know any different. Now he only goes to Bolt and only has David cut his hair. His hair always looks great now and we both couldnt be more pleased. Keep up the wonderful work!

Honestly I came in as a “walk in” client and I was treated fairly and respectfully. My barber David, supercool looking old aged man COMPLETELY fixed my hair since I had cut it myself before. He actually surprised me with a style ontop that has me satisfied and wanting the same style again. All my hair request were done and was given a free water. The environment is an old school rockabilly setting with monkey decorations and awesome hair products at the counter! We used Bolt Barbers as luggage storage through Vertoe. Everyone at the shop was so helpful and kind. We had issues getting an uber, and they gave us water bottles and beer while we waited! We will definitely be back, next time for a haircut!

I came In visiting from out of town for all star weekend the shop was cool I asked the barber who was a Mexican to barely trim my beard he cut 70 percent off I been growing it for over a year I was devastated I’m not sure where the communication gap came into play but I’m still heated the receptionist was great shop was nice good hospitality

I have been trying to find a barbershop in dtla that can give me a decent lineup, unfortunately this shop could not accommodate. Although that cannot speak for all the barbers who work there; if it is your first time going to this shop request a barber who has been at the shop 6 months+.

South Spring St location - went in for straight razor shave and experienced the folllowing:- Shaving oil applied to face - familiar with this so OK- Hot towel - familiar with this so OK- “Pre-shave” with electric razor - why?- More shaving oil and now cream added to face- what happened to brushed on shaving cream?- Straight razor shave next and could tell it was not being done properly - pulling on whiskers with blade- “Post straight razor shave” with electric razor - why?At the end of the day either folks are not trained properly or this establishments idea of a straight razor shave is an abomination.

Im not going to lie Im super biased when it comes to getting my hair cut mostly because Im so used to going to my same guy over and over.Dropped in one night after a Nike shoot (wrap time was 8:30pm so that was a plus and got cut right away) so points for that.My barber was super cool did the normal talking and everything, but for some reason the idea of my cut( simple comb over with a 2 on the sides blended) didnt come trough and left me kinda jacked for my buddies bachelor party in Vegas, however dude Killed it on my beard clean up game. Looked super clean.As I was leaving I got the price and it was around $55 after tip. So that dropped some points for me. Overall 3 outta 5

Terrible experience. They rushed me in and a man who smelled like he hadn’t showered in weeks begins to attack my head with a comb. Never had a more painful haircut in my life. Their whole goal is to get you in and out as fast as possible, they may even pride themselves on their mediocre haircuts. And for all that I paid $33. If you want the Bolt’s Barbers experience without the $33 price tag, jump in a dumpster, puch yourself in the face, and then try to cut your own hair with a butter knife. Same experience for less! WORST.BARBER.EVER.

I asked for a trim. Keep my hair long on top, and just trim the sides. Denise turned the chair so I could not see what she was doing. And she was doing a lot! By the time I saw my haircut the top was very short and the sides were almost like a crew cut. And to make it worse, the hair on one side was shorter than the other. One fact is that she didnt listen, but the other is that she just did a really bad job of cutting my hair. I understand that the manager/owner might respond in a sarcastic way to this review, but he/she should think more about trying to understand an unhappy customers perspective. Bolt-- never again.
