I asked over the phone about what day the work would start on my van before I dropped it off. He says to me Do you live in your van? Because you cant stay here.Shocked at this prejudice and classist question, I will never take my vehicle here for automotive repair. I have a place to park, I didnt ask to live in the parking lot, I just asked what day the work would start.Im not leaving my vehicle and all my possessions in the inbox of parking lot for a week before the work is even started. Anyways, thats why I dont go here.

Highly recommend this place. Ziad is amazing to work with! I came here two times now, and both times he was so honest and helpful. Price was very reasonable and I can feel how trustworthy everyone who worked here was.

My girl had just bought a used Fiat that wouldn’t turn on and we called an AutoZone to get the battery maybe replaced. The front desk worker swore we had to go to a dude named Ziod at Grant Auto Repair down the street. I am so grateful I did. My man is super hospitable and honest. Not trying to swindle you like most of LA. He didn’t even charge us and checked our battery/alternator for us. We are coming back Tuesday for a full check up.

Ive been traveling the country in an old Sonata so Ive seen my fair share of mechanics. These guys were far and away the best. I wish I could find a mechanic this good back home! Excellent work, friendly service, and prices that are more than fair.

Ziad is amazing! My car literally stopped while pulling into the lot and he helped get me back on the road in no time! I am so so so thankful. As a woman in desperate need, he could have charged me something wild (as mechanics often do) but Ziad is clearly a good person that cares about peoples safety. Ziad is super friendly, honest, reliable and you can really tell he cares about his clients. I inherited an old car a couple months ago, and have had one issue after another (lol i guess nothing is free afterall!) and Ziad and his team have saved me each time. Needed to get a new battery and alternator in my car, and my experience here was great. Ali was kind, quick, and honest to work with. Was able to quickly diagnose the problem and do the repairs for me within 2 hours. All for a very fair price! Highly recommend (also this is my first time caring enough to actually write a google review so trust me on this place)

As a single woman who knows nothing about cars, I was definitely nervous about purchasing a used car on my own. Grant Auto did the pre-purchase inspection on the vehicle I had picked out and walked me through all of the info they were telling me about the car in a way that made it clear what was great, good, and will be the next step of needs for the car. Ive been meaning to write this review for a long time. Emerson takes such great care of my car, and he is friendly and knowledgeable. Its easy to get your car serviced there too, the guys are honest and straight forward about the work that needs to be done and they always get it done right. I have a Saab and Ive taken it there for maintenance check ups, brakes, tires and headlight replacements. The work is always done on time, and with good quality. Thanks Emerson!

Went to the shop yesterday the first guy that helped me was professional and kind. He told me to wait and a guy can check my car. The guy later came and ok at first but I see. Him take a picture of my license plate. I asked why are you taking a picture of my plate because it was something new to me. He frowned and told because I need to get the car history. I said ok that’s new to me. He turned around and something In a different language to his coworkers and they all started laughing. I asked him what he say but he ignored me and kept walking. I told his coworkers tell him he don’t have to help me and one guy said no no it’s ok he will help you. I told them no thank you and left.

Went there a year ago and was absolutely stunned by how transparent and easy going they are. Cost me a fraction of what two other repair shops quoted me. Car has been going strong for a year now. I want to go again to get my car checked up, but their number doesnt seem to be ringing. Does anyone know the new number?

What a refreshing auto repair shop with the amazingly honest Ali who is at least half less them any other mechanic. They are qualified as well as always committed to repairing any vehicle you may bring in. Love these guys!

These guys are so awesome. I first found them when I needed the front license plate affixed to my ford escape. Ali immediately helped me out and didnt charge me. A couple weeks later I found myself in Culver City and my car wouldnt start. Luckily Ali gave me a card so I called him for help with a tow truck. Once I dropped my car off he said he would be in touch with me the next day. He had my car fixed within 48 hours and kept me updated during the process. The price was much better than expected and I was very grateful for that! I will definitely recommend his services to anyone having car issues. They are life savers!

Great Place! I needed a mechanic and went to Grant, Ali took care of me right away, my fuel pump was not working and had to be replaced. I had AAA tow the truck to Grant and I expected it to take a couple days of repair but Ali had it back the same day. Great customer service and Fair pricing. I will definitely be a returning customer.

We had car trouble on our trip, and it’s always stressful to be in an unfamiliar place and not know where to go for a mechanic. We chose Grant Auto Repair because they were able to see us that same day, and it ended up being a really good choice. They were really friendly and helpful and were able to get us on the road the next day. They were completely honest and more than fair in their price.

My dad, mom, dads friend, a couple of neighbors and I all bring our cars to Grants. The name of the place is the same but there is a new boss. He and his employees are good, honest and the cost is reasonable. Give this place a try, I can almost guarantee you will not be disappointed. Good people who work hard!

Lost my power steering on the 405 and pulled off in my suv.. ended up pulling into Grant Auto and met Ali. He diagnosed the issue and showed the part that was needed. Unfortunately at 10am the part wouldnt be in until 2pm and i was to be in bel air at 11am sharp. Call an uber truck?? Nah, no need. Ali & the boys heard I was on a schedule, immediately got in under the hood and pulled some MacGyver moves. Fixed it, leak free and an engine wash down, cheaper and faster than the cost and time of the part, and i was on my way w/in 45 min. Never been here, dont know these guys, but after that experience, Ill go out of my way to have my autos worked on at Grant Auto no doubt and you should consider it too if youre unsure of your current mechanic or new to the socal area. Thanks Guys. Highly recommended.

Grant auto repair has been my #1 mechanic for any problem Ive had. They are able to work on older cars aswell as new cars, They wont ever over charge and if you pay and the problem is still there, they will not stop until it is fixed. I recommend these guys 110% for any problem you can throw their way.

Took my car in per the request of the Ali and he did not work on my car and asked to bring it back.

On the last day of visiting southern California, our Honda Pilot stopped working right at the entrance of nearby Costco in the morning. We searched on Google Maps and found Grant Auto Repair and called, Ali gave us a towing companys phone number. Just 0.6 mile, flatbed towed over, Ali and Ziad tested and said itll need a few hours. Ali called at 12:15pm, said it was diagnosed, it was alternator and regulator, parts ordered. Then 2:15pm it was repaired and ready for pick up. Walked over, did paperwork with Ziad, then drove north back to San Francisco Bay Area. Yay!Ali and Ziad are warm-hearted men, they love their work. Reasonable price. Now we have an LA auto repair shop that can recommend to friends. :)

I have THE BEST mechanic in the land!!!Besides being over-the-top reliable, they are the most honest and affordable.I had my 99 Toyota 4runner that has 393K miles on it serviced with a new starter, water pump and timing belt, oil change, fluids topped off and overall health inspection before going to Yosemite with 2 other people and a heavy load of camping equipment and food in the car with me. My mechanic, Ali, assured me I was good to go and if anything goes wrong to call him immediately, but that he was confident all would be fine.We made it to our Campground just outside of Yosemite Natl Park, NO PROBLEM! But after 3 days, we pack up and get ready to go, my car started up and sounded awful and would barely go. We hiked a mile to the local lodge and called AAA for a tow and most fortunately found a VERY reputable and OPEN [on the 4th of July] auto repair shop 30 miles away.Diagnostic tests showed it was merely a defective timing belt, which of course was brand new. He reported that my mechanic has done a perfect job in his repair job. So I called my mechanic to report the news and he told the Groveland Auto Repair shop to fix it and he would take care of the repair costs. Shocker #1Because this shop was already so busy and had to order the new part, it wasnt going to be fixed till next week. MY MECHANIC INSISTED ON GOING ALL THE WAY TO GROVELAND, 330 miles from Los Angeles, TO GET THE CAR AND TOW IT BACK AND FIX IT HIMSELF!!!! He did that yesterday...😳😳😳WHO DOES THAT?!?!!He has been my mechanic for a little over a year now and he will ALWAYS be my mechanic from now on. He should be yours as well!!
