Knock wood, I have not had to file many claims... but, after one very slow speed incident with a pole, Mel was there to help me file a claim and get the money I needed to fix my car. When I spoke with Mel recently regarding my insurance policy with him (which Ive had over the past year), and he gathered additional information about my situation and informed me that I should change my coverage to one that offers more protection for my situation, for a lesser cost. I wasnt the one who brought up the idea of changing my coverage plan, it was Mel who brought up this recommendation to help me reduce my premium while offering better protection for my situation. I subsequently had multiple questions, and Mel patiently answered each of my questions. Even when Mel is in the middle of another call, his team is readily available and helpful, and Mel, true to his word, responds quickly, both via phone call and/or email. Ive been with Mel for over 11 years. I couldnt have asked for a better agent. We have a multi-line policy with them (car and renters). Mel always made sure we received all the discounts that we earned over the years and were taken care of. They were easy to call to make changes to our account/policy when needed. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!! I dont know why i didnt switch to another auto insurance sooner. They pressure you into getting services you dont need, my rates kept going up and customer service sucks as far as his assistants go. I referred over my newly licensed brother and they treated him horrible! Mels assistants would not answer my brothers calls, they would hang up on him and had nasty attitudes. All because he wanted to cancel with them after they gave him a high quote. They sold him insurance for a car he did not even own yet!! I feel bad to even have referred my brother to them. They all seem to be very shady. I would not recommend them to anybody!
