Amazing Architecture, right besides The broad, this concert hall is a masterpiece. Just climb the stairs and there is a nice deck to sit and chill with a nice view as well . Couldnt get inside as it was closed but completely mesmerized by the architecture, will definitely come back for a show some day!
Walt Disney Concert Hall (WDCH) is the home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, presenting the best in classical music, contemporary music, world music and jazz.Designed by architect Frank Gehry, Walt Disney Concert Hall is an internationally recognized architectural landmark and one of the most acoustically sophisticated concert halls in the world. From the stainless steel curves of its striking exterior to the state-of-the-art acoustics of the hardwood-paneled main auditorium, the 3.6-acre complex embodies the unique energy and creative spirit of the city of Los Angeles and its orchestra. Thanks to the vision and generosity of Lillian Disney, the Disney family, and many other individual and corporate donors, Los Angeles enjoys the music of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Master Chorale and visiting artists and orchestras from around the world.
Such a stunning and iconic piece of architecture! Also such an intimate performers dream idea of an amphitheater- somehow it was smaller than Id imagined but that made the experience even more amazing. Saw postmodern jukebox here live! The best part was seeing all the singers come out at the end and realize what a production it was! Try to give yourself plenty of time before the show begins to take photos inside- the exterior is honestly more impressive than the interior, which to be frank was less exciting than the outside.Try to get seats that are toward the center- there are actually a bunch of seats sort of behind the stage which was rather distracting and the only downside to the architectural design. Worth the splurge for those great seats!
The Disney staff on their toes with their warm assistance. Beautiful musical environment arena. The Master Chorale was magic. Loved every note that Uplifted into my ears, heart, and soul.
Ive been waiting patiently for Walt Disney Concert Hall to open and finally got my chance to check it out last night. We walked in and were asked if we were there for the event (an Obama fundraiser - yay!) We werent and I was afraid that they wouldnt let us in...little did I know that the place is ginormous and even with the fundraiser going on theres still plenty of room.
Its an architectural masterpiece. The design of the building is spectacular. Its a photographers dream to shoot next to it. The inside is wonderful as well, except one thing the carpet need to be update long time ago. great place. best place to look around and enjoy the looking stuff. i love going with y amazing family. we all enjoy even some on my kids enjoy it. i have fun discovering what the stuff seems like and what they are. fun to examine
Beautifully done. We only toured the outside on our own.
The great Walt Disney Concert Hall is a master piece for the architecture lovers, I recommend to be visit for every architecture or designer student.
Came here for sightseeing of the concert hall for its stunning look. After visit I should say it’s definitely among masterpieces of modern architecture in the world which you can’t miss in LA! Just beautifully designed. I would just feel so proud if I were a musician playing at this venue! Also be sure to check out the lovely community park, which is actually built on top the hall. It feels Zen and is still all green even in winter now! Full of parking lots inside, easy to park. The Broad museum is just next to it.
I wish they had regular concert here not just classical.
The best venue for enjoying concert in state of California. This place has great opportunities for photography. This is very near to Famous Grand Park. If you are visiting this place at the time of Concert you will not be allowed entry. This place is a must place to visit. The architecture needs a great appreciation. Visit this venue and you will never regret.
What a beautiful work of Architecture! The Architect wanted this to look like a ship.We had never been here before and decided to walk around the property.....they have a beautiful little garden on the second floor outdoors overlooking the street. They also have an outdoor mini stadium style seating area for little concerts. The entire building was so beautiful that we had to stop and look in awe at the stunning lines! We havent seen a concert here yet but it is known to have the best Acoustics in Los Angeles. We will definitely be back next time for a concert!!
Never been inside for a show, I just parked in there for jury duty, but it was really clean and the security was super nice and help me get to where I needed to go definitely one of my favorite spots to park in LA
Wow, a masterpiece of a building, both outside and inside. I could not recommend this place enough. One of those buildings you must see at least once in your lifetime. Shows obviously vary from one another a lot, but mostly I was very satisfied every time I went. The acoustics are incredible, there is a beautiful patio on the top floor. Its a majestic experience. Highly recommended and should be more applauded.
The acoustics of the hall, pipe organ, architecture, quality performances, and easy underground parking make this an amazing venue. You havent lived until you sit behind the performers in the back of stage seating, it provides a new dimension to a performance. If you are visiting during the day, take a walk up the stairs next to the outdoor elevators in front. Turn right and you will experience great views of City Hall from a mid-level rooftop perch, see rarely see areas of the building, behind-the-scenes views of the curved edifice. Going left you will circle the building seeing a small informal seating area and a semi enclosed outdoor amphitheater and gardens.
The world famous architect Frank Gehry design this beautiful and unique concert hall. Such a shame I didn’t have time to get in. I’m sure this concert hall is one of the best in the world. They have a tour of the property, and also gift shop, where I bought some souvenirs to bring home.
Nice place, with garden on the side
It was in the morning, didnt had chance to get inside.....
Curves that cut through the sky and draw you in. This concert hall is truly one of a kind. The performance lineup rivals any other world-class symphony, and the venue clearly rises to the top amongst the worlds great halls. Its worth visiting just to see the outside of Frank Gehrys iconic creation.
There is not a single bad seat in this hall.Amazing sound!!
Such a beautiful place! I had the most wonderful night. Went for a Chamber Music event featuring Brass and Strings as well as a wine tasting event. Such a spectacular event. The music transported me to another place. Very relaxing soothing and healing. I will definitely come back for another wonderful experience.
The free self-guided audio tour from 10AM to 2PM is long-winded, but worth it. Its sad they wont let you peek in the concert hall -- even when there is not a rehearsal. You can park in the lot on 2nd for only $9.
Beautiful venue to see a concert. Easy parking underneath the concert hall. Nice escalators to get you into the lobby. Gift shop and lobby bar are a great way to pass the time if you arrive early!
The tour is free. Walt Disney Concert Hall is beautiful. We parked our car at the underground parking. The parking was $20. You could park your car at a nearby parking at a cheaper rate. We were allowed to see the main concert hall which is wonderful. The outside balconies offers excellent views of LA. The area is nice and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The building is amazing outside and inside.
Definitely a must-visit for music lovers! The LA Phil sounds great, but the smaller ensembles and solo recitals are probably a better deal - better seat availability for lower prices. The organ is also fantastic. Acoustics are very clean, except if theres someone talking with a microphone, in which case it sounds very muddy and unintelligible. Very pretty place, inside and out.
Amazing sound. The acoustics are absolutely the best you can imagine. The entire environment is equally impressive. Intimate but grandiose. It is definitely worth a visit. Musical Disneyland, magical kingdom of sound and togetherness.
Located really got in downtown LA next to the Broad. This is a must see for all whether you appreciate architecture or not. The Walt Disney concert hall will present many opportunities for Instagram stories! Striking views at every turn. You will not be disappointed by the magnitude and post modernist take on a public infrastructure! This is a declaration that art, music, and, architecture fluidly flows into one another with a lot of drama and cohesion. It’s bold! A statement! A landmark amongst the LA traffic!
The acoustics are amongst the very best in the world. Be sure to experience a classical music concert at least once.
We love the Walt Disney Hall. Easy parking ( reasonnably priced). Great selection of programming. Our cannot miss selection is the white Christmas movie with a singalong and the snow fall at the end.
There is a parking lot south of the theater, park your car there and get to the roof if you want to take great photos, then go to the northeast corner of the theater, you will find stair to access the garden. Use the fire escape stairs to walk around the building. Its a must seen building in LA, specially for architects. GREAT ARCHITECTURE.
Indoor café is meh and the rest of the interior is dated and also very meh. But the performances are world-class. I just feel like Disney of all companies could have afforded to put a ton more pride in the construction of their concert hall as an internationally acclaimed venue.
Amazing performance I got to see here! The acoustics in this concert hall are quite impressive for sure :D There is a formal casual dress code here so keep that in mind. There are bars around the building but there arent many options. Just a few to compliment the atmosphere. This is such a nice building and there is an outdoor garden you can check out on the 3rd floor. Parking is $9 flat rate under the Disney Concert Hall.
Great concert in wonderful surrounds. The building is just amazing on the inside as it is on the outside. The gardens were a lovely place to spend the intermission. Only negative was the excessive queue at the restroom!
This is an iconic and unique building that has no right angles in its construction. The place is easily accessible by car and has ample parking, great indoors and waiting area. The staff is helpful and gives directions when asked for even when they appear busy.♿️ This place has:Yes=Ramp access.Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Entrance.Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Restroom/Toilet.Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Seating.Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Parking.Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Elevator.
This is the best concert hall in Los Angeles. They have excellent events and also gorgeous gardens in the 2nd floor. Book tickets and you will not regret it.
There is a free walking tour available that takes up about an hour and a half. Our guide was incredibly informed and provided a tonne of great insights and stories about the 3 Concert halls. Was definitely worth our time.
Busy place. Didn’t go to any event or anything but went inside to view it and it’s nothing special inside. Outside is nice to stop by to see.
Stunning. Unique. Iconic.See music here. You will not be disappointed. Every seat in the house offers the same acoustic perfection and a great view of the stage. The architecture is amazing - both inside and out. Designed by famed architect Frank Gehry.
Amazing Experience👌👌👌
The Walt Disney Concert Hall is a world class center for the musical arts and performances. Home to the world famous Los Angeles Philharmonic LA Phil and led by the music and artistic director-Gustavo Dudamel. The building architecture was designed by the famous architect-Frank Gehry....#laphil #waltdisneyconcerthall #gustavodudamel #losangelesphilharmonic #waltdisney #dtla #instalosangeles #instaconcerthall #concerthall #mickeymouse #worldfamous #californiadreaming #californiadreamin #frankgehry
Walt Disney Concert Hall is certainly an iconic structure and addition to the inner-city Los Angeles experience. I only had time for a quick walk-around tour, but would have appreciated going on a docent-guided tour of the many levels of the facility. Be sure to speak to a docent/ employee & tell them what youd like to do (what you have time for) so you can find out where you can go & the easiest ways to get there.Inside & out on a deck or in the garden areas, there is so much there to see & experience in the halls immersive environment. Free docent-guided tours, or you can pick up a headset for information on a self-guided tour.Definitely worth the time to check-out this place.FYI: In the winter months, the Los Angeles Philharmonic rehearses & plays at this venue, so the very-inner-part of the concert venue is not accessible to the general public for a self-guided walk during those months. In the summer, when the L.A. Phil. plays at the Hollywood Bowl, they give the public a little more open-access inside the Disney facility.
Masterpiece. Timeless. Music expressed in architecture, architecture orchestras a grandiose symphony. Walt Disney Concert Hall is stunning. Ive seen many photos of it, but only a physical visit indulges you with the perfect balance between the still and the dynamic, the wonderful harmony of musical romance and structural logic. It has a great gift shop, almost everything sold there is relevant to music, even the purses made in Germany!
Concessions that sell coffee for $4 but can not even provide a decent cup but plastic for coffee?Box office.- I had to go back and 4 times because no one knew what to do with my electronic ticket.Service,-Someone needs to teach some manners to the kids working as ushers they are too rough around the edges.Going to a jazz concert is supposed to be something especial, with a great customer experience, isnt it?Only the breathtaking architecture by Frank Gehry saved that evening.
Just looked at it from the outside. A spectacular piece of architecture
Beautiful architecture, greatest live concert hall for a one of a kind experience
A stunning architectural masterpiece on the outside and very intimate inside. Great acoustics makes it ideal for any kind of Concert!
Wonderful spot and architecture. Very cool for photography.
There was an event going on so we had the opportunity to go for a tour that took us inside the concert hall as well. The architecture is very interesting. They have a very cool new exhibition using machine learning for the LA Phil archives. It wasnt open then but I would definitely return to check it out.
If you want to hear splendid music, here is your first choice!
One of the most iconic architecture works in Los Angeles. The matte steel finish and the curved lines is a symbolic reflection of the artistic Los Angeles culture. The interior has a beautiful curvy wooden decor that makes the sound travel evenly throughout the Concert Hall.
Its a nice area to go in scooter and take nice pictures
People here are amazing, they are so nice!!! I love this place so much 💞💖
What a beautiful place to walk around!
An architectural feat splendidly shining in the Downtown Los Angeles cityscape. All kinds of wonderful perform at this center for the arts. Enjoy!
Attended the Festival of Carols with Eric Whitacre and what a wonderful festive treat it was! Amazing concert in an amazing building!
This is a wonderful venue. The parking couldnt be easier, the facility is beautiful, and the sound quality is top notch. We were there for the LA lawyers concert and it was very well done. We were up in the cheap seats on the fifth floor and it was still great. Personally Id spring for the fourth row but my wife is thrifty.Go. It is worth it.
If youre worried its Disney as you know it, it isnt. Going here to listen to the LA Phil is a fantastic experience, even in the cheap seats. Go and listen, you wont be disappointed.
Absolutely magnificent architecture and ambience! Regardless of where you sit, the sound is amazing! Could place more concession stands for upper seating. A must visit!
Walt Disney concert hall was amazing 🤩
Amazing orchestra concert! Absolutely beautiful building. Great experience. Cant wait to go back again someday.
Mind-blowingly astonishing architecture. This has to be one of the most beautiful and memorable examples of the highest quality of modern architecture in the world. It’s an absolute joy. It can not be recommended more highly! If you are in downtown LA please do not miss this!
Gets kinda hot around the area.
Interesting architecture. I heard somewhere that the architect was inspired by crumpling up a piece of paper. I don’t know if this is true or not, but it makes an interesting story. The inside is reminiscent of a ship. The acoustics are wonderful. I saw Julie Andrews here. This was a standard field trip for fourth graders. The kids just loved it!
Cool place to walk around though we were not able to your inside when we went. Cool architecture and design.
I cant wait until the Disney Concert Hall reopens. This was one of my favorite places to go on the weekends for small opening and last minutes shows with my husband. The architecture is so inspiring as it makes you feel like you are in another era.
What an amazing place. Went to see one of my students perform at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. I was super impressed with the acoustics and the seating was great. Loved it.
WE LOVE IT HERE! We did a photoshoot for our clothing line and it came out amazing . Great lighting. amazing architecture . It’s just natural greatness
Nice Building to look at with talented, and Dedicated People involved in its Events.
An architectural experience thats well worth the visit.
Nice place. I want to go back. I recommend it. You will feel good. LA phil..
Really great venue with a small restaurant, gift shop and really hospitable employees. Caught Eric Whitacre’s Festival of Carols tonight and still could hear everything from behind the choir! If you want to surprise a date, get the seats directly in front of the organ pipes haha
Best concert venue for acoustic sound.
Amazing facility with perfect acoustics. Savor exterior and interior. So happy we heard symphony.
We did the video walk, which was maybe on short release. The place is amazing and a great way to spend 40 minutes for free.
I need to start this review with: I did not get in the Concert Hall, just admired it from outside and walk around.I guess I am writing this for those short in time, without a ticket to get in or without the intention to spend money to get in.The facade of the building is simply put: outstanding. Its shape distract your mind from each of the curves to its sharp angles to the beautiful contrasts between the white concrete of its footpath to the blue sky of California. I pulled my phone as soon as I saw the building, mesmerised with its aesthetics as I continued walking towards it. Get around one of its nook, stand in front of it, under its shade, all around! It is a stunning building and I can only imagine what it looks on the inside. I tried to get a ticket but everything was sold out for the day.Nevertheless, it is a state of the art building, captured in my memory.
A nice place to visit which attracts starting from its unique and beautiful building structure. Shows are good with awesome sound quality. Concert hall Interior attractive. Place dont have its own parking space, you need to depend on road parallel parking or public parking near by. Not much crowded.
One of the must see buildings in LA.
Beautiful concert hall, the architecture outside and inside are just amazing. The acoustics inside the hall are excellent, when it’s so quiet you could hear a pin drop from anywhere within the hall. Parking was only $9 and underneath the hall which made it incredibly easy.
PATINA, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Los Angeles provides an excellent services, which is very hard to find.Every dish has a nice presentation and comes with a new set of utensils. All waiters wear a black uniform. Tonights waiter is Thanh Trans. I saw him constantly smiling from beginning to the end during our entire dinner period. He outperformed others at the Michelin Star in Las Vegas.I met Kevin Welby, general manager at Patina, again and we chatted the dinner experience I had with him in this same Patina restaurant in 2006.
We only walked by but happened to capture a cute moment of a photoshoot !
Number 1 tourist destination in LA. You gotta take a picture there if you visit LA. There are also other new attractions around.
Haven’t attended a concert here yet, but the architecture is breath taking and probably unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. A masterpiece by Starchitect Frank Gehry.
The Walt Disney Concert Hall is an amazing place and one of the quiets places in LA. Perfect for reading in the upper gardens of the place.its some confusing the place as a tourist: mainly because you dont know where is the main entrance and the tour. They have a free tour for the place.
In addition to Frank Gehrys distinctive exterior, its a great concert hall. The acoustics are simply superb. If you go to Disney Hall be sure to go outside on the third floor where they have a Garden Park that wraps around the exterior of the building. The porcelain flower is a dedication to Lillian Disney who paid for this marvelous Concert Hall.
Came to experience the amazing architecture around the Walt Disney Concert Hall and had a great tour of the precinct including the other venues on site.
Very beautiful view and place ❤️
Amazing. Highly recommend it for a concert or just a visit. Nice gift shop. Great location.
Beautiful amazing piece of art in itself. Have been here for concerts when my kids were little as well as adults concerts also with my kids
What an awesome venue. Magnificent acoustics
This is an incredible building, one of the highlights of LAs impressive skyline! Make sure you go up onto the roof garden when you visit its free!
