I reached out to this company to clear some static on an audio file I had. Michael was very professional but unfortunately whoever does the work for them wanted $1,925 to make 4 versions of a 2 minute section of my recording. They took $750 up front to do an evaluation. So I am out $750 and cant get that money back since spending $1,925 is just way too unreasonable when were talking about a 2 minute section of an audio file. Anyway, hopefully this will help someone else. Michael kept reminding me we had discussed the pricing, but problem is he talked as if they were awesome.. and maybe they are... but how can you really justify asking almost $2,000 for cleaning up static for 2 minutes of a recording. It just doesnt fly. Lesson learned. I will never pay any money up front.Response to Owner: I received a call back quickly from Michael since the company owner who also posted his response offered to speak with me. Full disclosure, I declined since it would just be a waste of both of our times. He was not the one I spoke to. I spoke to Michael before starting the project. I do however appreciate the quick response and option to speak with the owner. That being said, I disagree on the Owners characterization of this as my confusion and their miscommunication. The fact is, they are way overpriced and they are not clear about this up front. Did they tell me it would cost $750 to do an assessment? Yes. Did they give me their hourly rate of around $300? Yes. But no one in their right mind would expect to pay $1,925 + $750 ($2,675 Total Cost) to improve the quality of 2 minutes of audio. 2 minutes! When youre talking about 2 minutes of audio, one does not expect it to take roughly 6 hours of work to clear it up, make 4 versions, and cost $2,675. If the owner is reading this, it would help, from a customers perspective, to give examples of a rough estimate of the full job. Otherwise, you will come off as a greedy company who sweet talks clients into taking the bait. At the end of the day you did make $750 for reviewing my audio. Please understand, no reasonable person would have expected this project to cost anywhere close to $2,675 hence my feedback is on the poor value. And to be clear, since Michael mentioned this on the phone - I am not angry, I am just disappointed. My feedback is not to try and hurt your business, but to present my point of view in an objective manner and hopefully to share information (hindsight is 20-20) that would help you in dealing with future clients. Hope this helps everyone involved.
They just dont respond! Ive emailed numerous times. I got a response on the 2nd try, then I never heard another peep ever again. Nice. Real professional.
This place will be extremely helpful or so it seems, until you pay them.... Dont do it. After you pay they become almost useless. Your better off using your own resources and doing it yourself, find a different Audio/video expert.... Oh and they may threaten you if they have any leverage on you. Stay far away from these guys
