Ive personally been involved with the United Way of Greater Lorain County for over 9 years. Ive volunteered in community enhancement projects, performed reviews for projects and community collaborations, helped with their campaign cabinet, and have worked with them to coordinate free health and fitness classes throughout the County for the past 7-8 years as part of the United We Sweat initiative. Bill, Ryan, Ashley, and the rest of their team believe in the community, and work each day to make it a better place. They focus on the community collaboratives, bringing different community pillars and businesses together to focus support jointly rather than individually to generate a greater impact. Even if you just want to volunteer, they have something for you, and provide an opportunity to make the County we reside in. The next time youre in Lorain, check into the Center along the revitalized Broadway area, and learn more. I can personally guarantee their team will exceed your expectations of what they are doing in the area.

United Way has done a lot of good for the community. Volunteering has given me the opportunity to meet the employees personally, they are extremely kind and caring people who genuinely want to make Lorain County a better area. If you are interested in volunteering or donating this organization is very transparent and has a lot of opportunities for everyone to take part in helping the community grow.

So proud to have this organization in our community to help connect individuals and groups with needed support and assistance to further transform the communities around us. Really disappointed with United Way. We had an appointment to have our taxes done by them. The appointment got cancelled til further notice because of covid. Later, I received a phone call that they would soon call with an appointment date. I didnt receive any call. So when i call to check, I am told they have no more appointments!
