I just moved to the Longview area from Portland, Oregon area and was afraid I would not be able to find work.I went to Elwood and was told it may be at least 2 weeks before receiving a call.... The ladies at this branch are phenomenal!!! Carrie was professional, courteous and very sweet. She took my call when helping out another ES branch. Carrie not only answered every question I had, she went above and beyond helping me initiate and complete the application process for the position I was interested in. Its not just her thoroughness I compliment her on. She was very polite, patient, understanding, and made me feel like she was on my team. Also did I mention how nice and personable she was. Elwood is a good staffing company. Everyone is very helpful and you can count on them to find you employment, as long as you do your part too. Follow up often and provide them with all the information they ask for. Carrie was especially helpful. It was a pleasure working with her. She was very responsive and followed up regularly keeping me abreast with any changes. I would use them again if I needed to find employment in the future and definitely would recommend them to my friends...if I had any friends...hahaha

The ladies here are really nice, but unfortunately they couldn’t find me a job one job I was going for I went through orientation for nothing to find out they were no longer hiring and they were laying off people in the company. It would have been good to know that from the beginning. The other job was only going to be 12 hour shifts turned to be 15 hour shifts...but 5 stars on them being nice..but i think it’s difficult for them to find people jobs...and it’s funny from me just sitting in there they literally told every person “I THINK YOU WILL BE PERFECT FOR THIS JOB” they told me the exact same thing Susan don’t think you are special.

Elwood got me in and hired within a week! I went in there looking for the perfect job and they got every single thing I was looking for! Now I can finally be happy where I work at and have time to my family as well as pay all my bills and save.

Got a interview on a thursday.Did orientation on a Friday .Started my job on monday .Very humble and professional workers that truly care about the employee.

My boyfriend and I came in to Elwood Staffing. We both received a new job together. The hispanic lady was handling my case but ignored me the whole time while she flirted with my boyfriend who was sitting with another case worker. She removed the blanket/shawl that she was wearing to cover herself, to let her body be seen. Moving and jirating flirtatiously towards my boyfriend, all while disregarding me.The next day she led orientation. She embarrassed him in the middle of class by singling him out. She confronted him for not giving her as much attention as he did the day before. She was very hostile and angry because he chose to look down at his paper instead of staring at her. She grew strongly aggressive because he chose not to give her unnecessary attention.He and I discussed the day before that she was being flirtatious and it was unprofessional. Once he became aware of this he changed his behavior around her and tried to ignore her. Well, this upset her enough for her to embarrass him and I both in the center of a room full of people, in class, at orientation which she was conducting. She unprofessionally singled him out for not giving her unnecessary attention in a flirtatious manner. Asking him rudely, Whats the problem?!?All while glaring over at me angrily because hes choosing to be honorable to me and respectful which is what she should have been.The most hurtful part, is that she stopped being aggressive with my boyfriend and went out of her way to be extremely nice and overly attentive to my boyfriend during orientation but then became extremely rude and hostile towards me. She rolled her eyes at me and frowned at me. She intentionally ignored my questions. She refused to give me a pencil. Anything that I wanted for help, she made sure that I didnt get it comfortably. In contrast, she went over and beyond for my boyfriend. She continued being overly attentive to him all while he continued to ignore her and tried to distance himself from her unprofessional behavior with the situation.She took it out on me, as a woman, because she couldnt control HIM because he DIDNTentertain her. She treated me with contempt, simply because I was his girlfriend who he chose to respect and honor.This was very unprofessional and this lady needs to be reprimanded or let go.Couples should not come in and be made to feel uncomfortable. The women who come in to Elwood staffing should not feel like its there fault that they have a boyfriend whos choosing NOT to flirt with HER and to be faithful to THEIR girlfriends. Her priorities are all wrong. Her job was to focus on getting us a job. Her main focus should have been orientation. Her focus should not have been causing problems and meddling in other peoples relationships in a loose, flirtatious and disrespectful manner. She never should have confronted him and embarrassed him at the center of class by asking him, whats wrong, whats the problem and why arent you acting the same?This behavior was out of line and it showed unprofessionalism. This woman ruined our job before we even got started. She caused us unnecessary conflict to the point where we had to have a conversation on how to deal with her in a professional manner because she didnt have self control or the decency to not be flirtatious. This woman acts loose, flirtatious, disrespectful, vindictive and unethical at this staffing agency. This poor experience broke my heart. We are not the only couple who experienced this.
