I wouldn’t even give them a star if I could. I took my little chihuahua do to trauma and distress breathing. It was 9 pm and we got to aspen vet. We buzzed the door and two girls were sitting at the desk. They just looked at us as if nothing was wrong. The door was locked. And only one girl acknowledged us but was on the phone. The other girl just sat there looking at us as if there was nothing wrong. Sat in the entrance for 5 min. We finally started to leave to find another vet. Hospital. The girl on the phone saw us leaving and asked us what was going on, as we were getting in our car. We just told her to forget it and go back to what you were doing ( nothing). We then drove all the way to Thornton to community pet hospital. Who are great and compassionate. They took us in right away and put her on oxygen!Don’t waste your time at aspen in a emergency if you value your pets life!!!

Took our cat in about three months ago for a leg amputation (we got her from the shelter with half of her back leg missing and the bone sheered to a point). Vet did a great job on the surgery, and our cat was adequately drugged up enough to not be in serious pain while also still very functional (though she would pass out hard during the first few days where she was never too far from us). Within a few weeks she was pretty much back to her normal self, and now that its been a few months we can see how clean of a job they did putting everything together. Shes never been bothered by the work done, and honestly the most traumatic part for her was the night away from home for observation, so Id say everything went really smoothly.

Overall, the care at this facility is good. They are a very busy, short staffed, 24 hr emergency facility. You will wait a long time to be seen based on the severity of your pets emergency. With that said, some of the doctors are wonderful. Others not so much. Dr. Anderson is kind, compassionate, and relates to her clients and patients on a human level. She is professional and not a jaded robot. Her technician Trudey is also first class in kindness and ability. Dr Booth however, is Im sure, a very competent veterinarian, but lacks human and animal compassion. He comes across as a jaded robot with no feelings. ‘Just another day at the office’. A ‘look at these graphs’ kind of person. His bed side manner is fake and robotic. I’m sure he is a decent vet, but my dealings with him albeit short, made me not want to interact with him ever again. See a doctor with skills AND compassion.

Bought my dog in to the Emergency Department for a very painful sore on his foot that popped up overnight. I was very pleased with the treatment my dog received by Dr. Damone and nurse Amanda (I hope I got her name right). My dog is a really big boy who can be a little gruff with strangers, especially when he is in pain, the staff at Aspen Meadow handled him with a level of grace and confidence that was beyond my expectation. Both Dr. Damone and the nurse were personable, and I could really tell that they care deeply about the work they are doing. Carla in the front office was incredible too, she was friendly and comforting while making sure all my concerns were addressed. Yes, there was a bit of a wait, but that is to be expected at an emergency hospital- especially considering my pup was not in a life of death situation. They got him comfortable and treated him between critical patients, and I would have waited all day with no complaints knowing that the staff was hard at work saving other pets lives. We have to trust that the doctors and nurses are doing the best they can and remember that their specialized training makes them more than capable of triaging and prioritizing patients. As far as costs went, pets can be expensive and although we never want to anticipate an emergency, emergencies do happen and it is our job as pet owners to be prepared for those instances. I felt that the cost was very reasonable considering the exceptional care my dog received. I am happy that he is making a splendid recovery and I am very comforted knowing that Aspen Meadow is there 24/7 should another emergency arise.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The WORST vet I have ever been to. Brought my dog in at 11:30 pm on a Monday night for a constant cough and choking as well as excessive non-stop drooling all down her neck. We were the only car in the entire parking lot. Called in and was told to wait while my dogs files were entered and someone would be right out to get her. An hour later still sitting in the parking lot- nothing. So I called back and they sent someone out. 12:30am they grab her and say she will be looked at, and that they would call with an update. By 2:30am still nothing so I called just to check in on my baby and the receptionist was extremely rude, in the snottiest tone she said I told you we would call once she was looked at if we havent called I dont have any information, she still hasnt been seen. Finally at 3:45am the vet calls and says she seemed fine to him but it would be extra for a urine analysis as if the $120 exam couldnt include a simple pee test. Told me she hasnt coughed or choked the whole 4 hours she had been in there. A vet assistant walked her out to me, as my dog is coughing and choking and asks oh, is that the cough you were talking about? I find it very hard to believe if she was still coughing and choking that hard that she suddenly stopped for 4 hours when that was the reason I brought her in the first place. Made me pay before they would bring her to me, and charged me for what... to look at her with their eyes for 2 seconds and say yup all good. NEVER bring your pet here. Oh and if you dont or cant pay they keep your animal.

Wouldn’t even give them a star if I could!! Took my cat in for an ear infection, stuffy nose and swollen eye and got ZERO ANSWERS! They shaved over an incision on my cats shoulder and opened it more and didn’t apply any ointment to it or even tell me that they did it, didn’t clean my cats face at all! I got him home and out of the cage and his face was worse than it was before I took him in…Offered no answers, no medication, no IV for hydration, just pushing us to run “tests.” This place just wants your money and could care less about your fur baby! And when I called to address my concerns after seeing my cat when I got home-“everyone is busy with patients right now.” Don’t go here!!! Spend your money at a place that will care for your pet like they’re own and not just a dollar sign.

I called in advance to get on the list (non-emergency) and arrived at around 10:40. I called once I was in the parking lot, then spent about half an hour waiting before someone came out to take my dog for the appointment. After about an hour and a half, I began to worry that something was wrong, because I was told that the reverse sneezing that my dog had been doing was pretty normal, and that the checkup wasnt even completely necessary—I just wanted to play it safe so had my dog taken back. The vet assistant said there was a critical emergency but that my dog was now resting comfortably, but they way that she said it made it seem like the emergency was with my dog, and I believed that my dog was now sedated for some reason, so I had a moment of panic until the miscommunication was cleared up.Another hour or more passed and I was finally called by a doctor, who described the treatment course for my dog (benadryl, though I was never given an idea on dosage—I assumed there would be paperwork or info in an email, but there was not). I was put on hold for 15 minutes to pay but no one ever picked up the phone so I hung up and called back. Another 5-10 minutes on hold until I was able to pay. Another 15 minutes and my dog still had not been returned so I went inside to ask. Finally, my dog was brought out at 2PM.I completely understand that emergencies take priority, and that there may be a staffing issue at Aspen Meadow, or that because the Boulder clinic is closed, it was unusually busy on this day. But I felt like my dog and I were forgotten about—half a dozen people came and went with their dogs who arrived well over an hour after me. The main complaint I have was the lack of communication. I spent nearly 3.5 hours in the parking lot not knowing what was going on, and even after the checkup was over, it took over half an hour for my dog to be returned.

This clinic took my injured kitty in and got him to feeling better very quickly, considering how unexpectedly busy they became. They also had a great treatment plan of action that I just could not afford, however, they revised and worked the most important pieces to the recovery to be within all I had to afford for him to get after-hours care...Although this would have been much less expensive at our vets office, I couldnt plan that it was too urgent to wait for our appt (which was only 12 hours away). So kudos to the entire staff at Aspen Meadows Veterinary Clinic...Thank you so very much!!!

After my vet had told me my dog had a low red blow cell count, low blood platelet count, she recommended an ultra sound fast. As she was most likely bleeding internally. I took my dog to Aspen meadows where I was talked down to about how, ” we don’t do ultrasounds on healthy dogs!” Dr GeoffBut they were able to charge me an exam fee of 301$ to tell me my pet was perfectly healthy. However why would I bring my perfectly healthy animal from a vet to an ER vet with a dropping red blood cell count.Long story short I almost lost my dog, she got emergency surgery done the next night at CSU Bet Hospital. She had her spleen removed and a large amount of blood in her abdomen. Thanks for thinking my pet wasn’t an emergency Dr. Geoff at Aspen Meadows!

The vet staff all consoled our guilt and fears and allowed us unlimited time with my beloved friend. Seriously the best. Our experience was they really wanted to get that credit card so they could charge you up front. Nothing specific but a range from $2500 to $4300. If you cant pay up to the $4300 it was suggested that we euthanize our little baby. We brought our dog in for breathing issues they put her on oxygen took some blood and determined it was a heart murmer and pulmonary hyper tension. The after treatment was a referral to follow up with a cardiologist and here are 5 medications. Come to find out one of the major medications for the heart was a 5 day supply. No where near enough time to make a cardiologist appointment. When I called to refill only 2 pills to last 3 more days until we got to the cardiologist you will never guess what??? Come in to emergency and pay another $116.00 and you can get the 2 pills. The receptionist was uncaring, argumentative and did not care about our baby. We drove to 5 places that night to find oxygen and what a mistake. We were desperate to get our girl some help. Do not take your animals there. They are in it for the money and thats it. They take advantage of you and should be shut down.

I took my Goldendoodle in on 8/12 after she ate nearly 100 Glucosamine soft chews. First they instructed me to call ASPCA Poison control which I did. I gave Aspen Meadow (AM) the reference number so they could talk to the poison control folks.I waited in the parking lot for over 4 hours, mostly in the dark, where it was 80 degrees. They are located right next to a late-night bar which made me feel nervous as I was sitting in the deserted AM parking lot next door to the bar by myself. They took good care of her and I understood the wait, though still needing to sit in my car was frustrating. I am fully vaccinated and the waiting room is large and empty--I would not have needed to be within 6 feet of another soul, but I could have sat where it is light and air conditioned. Whatever. The tech came out and reviewed the discharge paperwork--I needed to return for bloodwork in 48 hours to make sure she was still doing well. She said that it would be best to go to our regular vet, but that they know it isnt always easy to get in to see them in a timely manner, so if I needed to return to AM, I could do that at a discounted rate. (She said this several times)When I was finally ready to leave my car wouldnt start and there was a very nice vet who came out and jumped my car--and I was so very appreciative. The next morning I called my vet and they said that they were really booked and they didnt have any appointment for my dog. I also work 45 minutes away from the vet, so its not like I can leave in the middle of the day. I also do not get paid time off, so if I dont go to work I dont get paid, and I just dropped $450 on an emergency vet bill, so taking the day off was not possible. I thanked her and let her know that it would be cheaper for me to take my dog back to AM than to take a full day off work.So I called AM last night and explained that I needed to come by for bloodwork. The receptionist spoke to me like I was a child for one. She put me on hold 3 times for a total of 20 minutes or more as she tried to sort things out and get information. She then let me know that they really needed me to go to our regular vet. I told her I knew that was preferred, but I explained that I wasnt able to get in to the regular vet and that I was instructed to get my dog re-tested in 48 hours and I wasnt sure how important it was to stay in that window. Um, yeah, we prefer you take her to your regular vet... she repeated multiple times. Ok, but the vet tech 2 days ago said I could come to AM if I couldnt get into my regular vet and thats what Im trying to do, I say. She then asks if my dog is doing ok and tells me that if shes not actively sick I really needed to take her to the regular vet. Seriously we talked in circles like this until I was in tears I was so upset. Then she says maam, I really dont appreciate being yelled at.Ok, I wasnt yelling. I was crying. Then I asked to talk to a vet tech since clearly this receptionist didnt understand what I was saying and since she was contradicting the vet tech from 2-days ago.The tech comes on the phone after another long time on hold. She lets me know that its not ok to talk to her receptionist that way. Seriously at this point I was almost calm, but not anymore...She tells me I need to return to my regular vet unless my dog is in distress and that if I insist on bringing her in after hours then I should be prepared to wait for another 4+ hours. This is about when I finally just gave up on getting my questions answered or getting any help or any level of concern, let alone any kind of apology for misleading me about it being absolutely ok to return to them for blood work.I still dont know if my dogs health is still at risk or if shes just fine. I still cant get in to see the regular vet without taking a day off work.

Clyde was bit in my park Saturday evening, a 3”-4” full rip through the webbing between his stomach & rear left thigh. I’ve had 3ea dobermans, I’ve seen a lot of hard playing by dogs, but this bite looked expensive! 2 of the north Denver vets I went to had long waits & couldn’t fit us in after a 3hr wait. 3rd try was a charm, the late night drive to Aspen Meadows in Longmont was more than worth it. Clyde was taken in @ 11pm & I picked him up @ 8am Sunday morning. Aspen Meadows provided a low & high end quote, they installed a tube drain & stitching for cheaper then the low end quote, not something I would expect in 2021’! The intake personal was more than nice & I could tell over the phone how much the Vet Dr. loved her profession in helping animals. Clydes healing up great, we removed the tube last night. Sure seems like the smaller towns still have the nicer & harder working people these days. If I ever have another emergency with Bonnie or Clyde, we’re going to Aspen Meadows in Longmont again, no question about it, 5 out of 5 rating, thank you again Aspen Meadows.

Worst place I have ever taken a pet. My poor dog was dropped off at 8 am on a Sunday for a few stitches. I was told that it would only be a couple hours and to go home that they would call when she was ready. I had to call 5 hours later to find out that she still hadnt been stitched up yet. Again 8 hours later I had to call again to find out that she was finally in recovery. At 445 I was contacted that she was ready for pick up. Mind you my poor dog has not eaten at all yet. I arrive at 515 to pick her up and had to call 3 times to remind them that I was there to get her finally at 630 they brought my dog out and gave me no instructions on how to care for her. It got worse when we got home and I realized she didnt get any water while she was there because she gorged herself as soon as we walked in the door til she puked. This whole terrible day also cost me 1100 dollars. My dog also pulled most of the stitches out in the next few days because they had been so poorly placed.. When I contacted them to get her taken care of i was referred to the director which I could only contact through emails he has still not responded to 2 emails over a week later. I finally had to take my dog to my vet and spend more money to get the same thing done again. Also my vet only charged 230 bucks for the same thing. I wouldnt trust this vet to revive roadkill. For the sake of God please do not take your loved pets to this place. They will be severely mistreated and neglected. I read all the reviews, especially the negative ones and there is a common theme - a specialist emergency vet surgery is expensive. For me, it was too, but for my dog the surgery was highly complicated. The cost is not a surprise, they quote you upfront. Having pets is expensive, especially with emergency surgery vet visits, and I always tell people to get pet insurance! Dont blame a specialist for the price of specialist emergency surgery!!! Sheesh. Now my experience was great. My vet surgeon was Dr Trent. I will admit (and probably Dr Trent would agree) he is not a warm and fuzzy guy. But he is super smart, and highly qualified. My first diagnosis from another vet was amputation.I was all in for saving my dogs leg, despite it being a more expensive option with no guarantees. Today my dog has full use of his leg.I will always be grateful to Aspen Meadow and Dr Trent. And the ladies on front desk were great!

Following that I got a call from the Dr. that basically said he had nothing to share, was not able to read MRIs and I should have someone else in his office review them, if I was fortunate enough to have that kind of time (meanwhile my sick dog is not given a second thought). Following that I was charged for a surgical consult and for a radiology review of the MRI, which the doctor told me he could not do.This was a total waste of my time, my dogs health and my money. I do not recommend taking your beloved pet here for an orthopedic consult or to review previously attained MRIs, xrays or ultrasounds.

TL;DR I trust this facility and their staff with my dogs life and gosh it sure is nice working with genuine and kind humans when your dog is in need of emergency care. THANK YOU AMVS!The long review:I cannot say enough good about the quality and kindness in care received here for my dog, Moon. My pup is consistently getting bumps and infections and eating things he ought not to, hes just a special, exhausting and frustrating boy that means the world to me. AMVS has been available to help when he is in need, sometimes the wait is longer, but they are always able to find time for him. Like with all good emergency medical services, if you are waiting, that means youre not in critical condition, I count that as a blessing imo.I am a nervous pet owner; so I have brought him in for everything from a bursted skin tag (unexpected amount of blood but ultimately non-critical, he just wouldnt let me clean it up so I brought him in) to regular vomiting requiring emergency surgery to remove a blockage from his intestines (tummy tug of war with something he snuck away to eat in secret that he shouldnt have). On all occasions they were kind, confident but not cocky, and upfront about the diagnosis, treatments and expected costs. Emergency treatment is not cheap. These doctors, techs, and medical professionals are specialists and their care will and should cost more. Its on demand, and often life saving. I personally cannot put a price tag on keeping my best boy by my side and not in a jar. They gave me an expected cost and the full treatment came in beneath that number, even with complications. No care is guaranteed and as with most things, comes at a risk of complications. The surgery my boy had to have to get something inedible out of his tummy ended up with a slight infection, and of course, because he is a special snowflake, was one of the few resistant to standard antibiotics and we had to get him on something stronger. These things happen and I am glad they bothered sending it out for analysis instead of saying something like, eh, 99% is good enough. (Yes, I realize that is their job but attention to detail is important and worth noting)You cannot explain to a dog when they feel bad that you are doing everything to help and make them better, but putting my dog in their care has always resulted in a happier, healthier and safer pup(not to mention, reduced my anxiety). They take their job as healthcare providers seriously; checking in on progress following treatment, responsive to calling and texting when something seems odd or just to clarify dosage or post-care instructions.Every doctor, tech, admin that I have spoken to has had genuine comments about how good or sweet or spunky my guy has been during his time in their care. Even when hes not doing well, mentioning that he doesnt seem to want food so they want to watch him a bit longer, (hes picky and prefers to eat things he shouldnt) all of which is in his character. These are all comments that you would only know if you were spending the time to care for him, regularly interacting and checking in with him personally. You dont get to know a patient by drugging them up and leaving them in a crate; and I am certain without a doubt that they know my dog quite thoroughly now. Why? Because they care. This field is more than a job for most people going into pet medical services, and the staff at AVMS has kindness in their treatments and personal relationships with those under their care. They did a fantastic job saving my boys life and while hoping they never need to, I would trust them to do it again.Pictured here is my big baby nearly two weeks after surgery Oct 2020. Hes doing great, and back to his regularly scheduled shenanigans. He also loves the staff at AVMS.Thank you! -Lauren

The best thing by far is they ACTUALLY prescribed real narcotic pain meds for her recovery. I cannot stress enough how important this is. Nobody will prescribe proper pain relief anymore due to the opioid pandemic. However that only hurts our small animals in need. She is resting comfortably now because she got the proper treatment and meds needed. Any vet reading this please do the right thing for these precious animals. If they need pain meds its your responsibility to prescribe what works and not worry about if someone else decides to abuse it. The animals always come first and only we can help them. I called 10 places including my regular vet and all told me I had to wait several days to be seen. I could really tell my boy needed immediate medical attention. There was no wait time, they believed my immediate concern, no wait at all. After a quick exam, I was told it would be best to put my best friend down. He did tell me surgery was an option. They could have wronged me and suggested surgery could fix him, but the vet, I wish I remembered his name, he was honest and told me the truth, that surgery would have only extended his life a short time, in which he would have suffered. He gave me all the time my family and I needed to say good bye. Was very empathetic to us. Let us choose what our wishes were with him, which was cremation. Not really caring or thinking about costs, we let them know our decision. I handed my credit card over without a thought. I just wanted what I wanted for my boy. A couple days later we got a call from them that he was ready to be picked up. Was giving to us in a beautiful urn, a plastered print of his paw, and a wonderful sympathy card. I was so happy with this, and feel the care he received, we received was amazing. A week later I got the courage to look at the bill, you would think that excellent service, treatment, and after care of us and our beloved cowboy would come with a hefty price. I was so distraught I would have paid anything they asked for. Nope. It was suprising affordable and a very well appreciated gesture with the care you showed us but more importanly our boy. Thank you wonderful people so much. As long as we live in the area, youve earned customers for life. And to the veterinarian who helped us and staff, know your work that day not overlooked. My family and I thank you! Cowboy thanks you! From the deepest place in our hearts! God bless you all!

Aspen Meadows was so wonderful with my young kitty this last weekend! She was having a medical emergency and they got her treated immediately ( on a holiday!). The staff and doctors were incredibly kind and very good at communicating what was going on with her treatment as well as being up front about costs. It is usually very expensive to go to an emergency vet but we had no choice. I’m so happy I did because they were well-equipped to handle my kitty’s unique medical needs on a moment’s notice and the costs were no higher than her regular vet who would not have been equipped with my cat’s unique issue anyway. Highly recommend! Thank you, Aspen Meadows! ❤️🐈🙏

The fact that you have an emergency visit alone is stressful! Now add all the charges that are just outrageous! Almost a thousand dollars to give my dog antibiotics and not even be able to tell me what is wrong with him. X-ray a part of his body that isnt even related to the illness. Wanting to charge 3,000-4,000 dollars to stay overnight. Not only did our vet call to get all the exams they did but we also had to call several times. All of this is just unconscionable! Honestly, we shouldnt have to pick between our monthly expenses or keeping our dog alive. I would recommend elsewhere before coming here and if I could give this place no star I would!

The problem is that some vets here are good and others are just about useless. Every time our vet is booked and we decide the best thing to do is take our dog here to get an opinion to just in case, we always regret it. (Except for 1 time which is the only reason why I say some vets also the techs are great but the vets....)I can think of a much better way to spend $500 to get ridiculous advise based not on results but guesswork. We usually end up having to take any labwork or results back to our normal (reliable) vet to get an accurate diagnosis.Summary, if aspen meadow did not exist, it would leave room for something else to open. I would consider that a blessing.

We had to bring our beloved dog here late one night. We knew she was older but were planning to put her down on a certain date. She went downhill and we brought her in. The receptionist, the vet tech, the Dr. were all so compassionate. The Dr explained everything in detail and put the decision in our hands. We chose to let Gidget go. The emotions were so difficult. The vet tech brought us a trash plate. A plate full of yummy stuff for Gidget to eat. The Dr allowed us as much time as we needed. We chose to have her cremated. We picked up her ashes here a week later. They were handled with care. I have to find the names of everyone so I can give them a shout out by name. A horrific experience was made bearable due to all the staff here. Thank you!

However, this was the only vets office who could tell us what was wrong with her back hips, after visiting two other veterinarians over the course of a month. My Moms miniature Schnauzer had not been usual his energetic, engaged and loving self for several days. The short version of a long story is that we took him to AMVS in Longmont on a Sunday afternoon and he had emergency surgery on Monday. His stay at AMVS was for a week! Through out the entire time the staff, both professional and support, treated our little guy, Mom and myself with care and respect. We were kept informed with daily, sometimes twice daily updates! We could not have asked, or I believe found, a more perfect place for Moms dog!

While nervous, we felt very well informed headed into surgery. Everything went according to plan and Brooklyn is making a tremendous recovery. I would avoid this vet at all costs. I suspect any vet with half a heart is better than these unprofessional and undertrained people. My elder dog was brought in not feeling well. They couldn’t figure out what was wrong with him and then told me he was likely poisoned. They suspected he ate some sort of wild mushroom. There is absolutely no way this is possible as my old guy had such trouble walking that I had to help him outside and was with him during all outdoor activities. Then he went into cardiac arrest. I asked to be with him. I had been by his side for 13 years and just wanted to be there for him as he passed. If it weren’t night time we would’ve been at our regular caring and thoughtful vet. They denied me seeing home but revived him. I told the front desk I wanted to see him immediately. The man there told me he would go and ask to see what he could do. I got very upset at this and told him I wanted to be with my best buddy now. He came twenty minutes later saying my poor guy was going into cardiac arrest again. He died just before I got to him. I never got to say goodbye and I was sitting 20 feet away. After pulling myself together I was livid. Downright furious at the obvious and thoughtless mismanagement. One week later they had the audacity to send me a bill for over $500 bucks. I’ve had a number of pets and a number of vets. These folks are heartless and cold. They obviously care more about a dollar than the emotional attachment you have to your pet. Shame on you aspen meadow. Shame on you!

6 years ago to this day I took my kitten in for an emergency with a broken hip/leg. The vet wanted to charge more than I could pay upfront which I understand is costly. When I was in emotional distress asking them if they could do a payment plan, etc, the nurse said if you cant afford it then we can put him down for much less. It was unprofessional and ridiculous after being told he would live a long healthy life after surgery. I will never recommend this vet still to this very day. Luckily, I made many calls to other vets in the area that were able to work with me and my cat is going on 7 now living a happy healthy life no thanks to this vet that had the nerve to offer putting him down for cheaper!

We called them back to let them know that she was worse and had asked why they had released her if she was not doing good still, They wanted to run some more test on her and charge us an insane amount of money. Aspen Meadows handled my case thoughtfully and thoroughly, although they were expensive, I found them to be incredibly compassionate and comparable to other emergency vets in the area. They also accommodated my need to spend as much time with him as possible, allowing me to visit, assist with his potty breaks and sit with him in the evenings. They were honest, thoughtful and I 100% know that without them I would not have a dog right now. I cannot day enough good things about the ER and the critical care vets. Staff is nice and welcoming. Note this is for a non emergency visit I had. For some reason they need to take your pet and evaluate behind the scenes. Doc determined my pups issue was a knee problem requiring surgery. Due to a gut feeling I decided to go get a second opinion. Thank goodness for that!My dog was determined to have a back issue, that had I gone forward with the surgery at the recommendation of Aspen Meadow would have been made 100x worse and requiring further surgeries to fix. No clue if the doc at AM actually did an evaluation and legitimately thought it was a knee problem, but the other surgeon I went to did the whole evaluation in front of me and it was obvious to even me that her knees werent hurting at all. The second he pressed on her back she reacted, so all I can think of is AM wanted to get me to pay $5k for knee surgery, then turn around and pay $10-15k for a back surgery as a result of the unnecessary knee surgery. If you have the option of getting a second opinion on any proposed surgeries, do it.I have no review for the emergency department, but if you can go elsewhere I recommend you do.

I have to say that I loved the doctor. He did a great job with the surgery for my little dog. As for the bookkeeping staff - not so much. I gave them my credit card EVERY time I was there with her. I then received a letter with all the charges for her surgery. I took it to mean it was for my insurance. Then, I received another. It said I owed them. Well, life got in the way, and I didnt call them. I then went on line to see what my credit card balance was for what I owed them. I saw then that something was wrong and I contacted them, intending to pay the balance if there was one. They informed me that I was too late. It was turned over for collections. Too bad. My credit score is 782. I pay my bills. This is ridiculous!!!

If I could give Zero Stars I would. This place provided terrible care for my dog. We will not be returning. My dog has been experiencing a chronic issue and our vet suggested having her seen by a specialist. The Specialist wanted to repeat all the testing we had done previously (within the last couple months) and charge us an absurd amount of money. We declined retesting her for the exact same stuff since everything came back normal the first time! We were treated as if we were completely clueless about her issue that we have been living with for over a year now... Over a week later, I got a call saying there was a prescription ready for pickup with diet recommendations. I went to pick it up and the prescription wasnt signed!!! Who doesnt sign their prescriptions?? I was told the vet wouldnt be back in until Thursday or Friday and I would have to wait til she got back to sign it. So basically my dog is going without care because of a careless mistake, and I was made to feel as though it was my fault?! She also wrote in her report that she got several treatments that she DID NOT receive. Terrible service. If your animal has a complicated issue Id suggest finding another specialist.

I very heartily cannot recommend. I took my dog in because she had blood in her urine, and the ER doctor listed off a bunch of tests that we could do and asked me which tests I wanted. Im not a doctor; I was looking to him for a reason for the blood and for his advice. I got neither. He did recommend that I make an appointment with their internist, which I did. At first, I really liked her. She seemed quite competent. However, there was a mix-up with my dogs meds that she prescribed. The discharge papers instructed double the dose that the label on the meds said. I called and explained that as I was leaving town, I needed to know which was right because I had to do the paperwork with the boarding place, and they waited 48 hours to tell me which was correct, long after I had left town. Overpriced and they have some serious issues. I will say that the nurse and the front desk staff were awesome.

After a day of playing in the lake my 2 year old German shepherd was rather unwell. She was clearly in distress with pale gums, excessive drooling, vomiting and was uncomfortable in general. I called ahead and a tech met us in the parking lot and got her right in. Due to COVID we waited in the car but communication with the staff via phone and signing intake documents online was fabulous. When it became clear she needed to spend the night we went home but the staff continued to communicate with me frequently. They didnt run any tests without explaining them throughly and getting my permission and they quickly relayed results. Luckily with some fluids and her overnight stay she was much better by morning and I was able to take her home. The total cost even came in below their low estimate! Huge shoutout to Dr. Hughes and the team as they took wonderful care of Peri and educated us without judgement about how to avoid this in the future. Peri made some new friends at the clinic and didnt seem stressed by the experience at all. I cant thank them enough. This weekend my sister’s dog got hit by a car, unfortunately we were directed towards Aspen Meadow Vet office. This establishment only has one care: money. We were told that we needed to pay the minimum of the estimate; $2,500 which we promptly did. They sent our dog home after less than 24 hours of being there despite the serious internal injuries she obtained. The next morning she was coughing up blood and needed to be taken back (I’ll mention that it is at least a 30 minute drive from our house) at 5 o’clock in the morning they made sure to tell us that we needed to bring more money, when your animal is coughing up blood the first thing on your mind is not grabbing your wallet. So at 10:30 later that morning my sister received another call saying that another x-ray needed to be taken and that before they would take it they demanded more money, yet again. We understand that these emergencies are not free but when you’ve already paid over two grand it would be preferable if we weren’t treated like we were neglecting payment. When in all reality the only thing being neglected was our dog’s needs and basic human decency during such a difficult time. Whilst all of this was happening a family friend came to bring food and comfort, seeing as we had not eaten anything. She did not know that we had already left and considering she had just driven the 30 or so minutes she decided to go inside to check on our dog; she was greeted by a very rude front desk lady who promptly told her she was unable to go back and see her (understandable) but then she aggressively said “Why don’t you just ask your friend how she’s doing?!”… (NOT understandable) & not a professional or caring response at all. If you are going through a stressful time with an injured or sick animal I would highly recommend you find an alternative establishment to receive your care. The staff is extremely gruff and their number one priority is receiving money, not taking care of your pet or being compassionate whatsoever.
