My first experience was in March with Krista, it was honestly amazing. Super friendly, professional and talented. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she just went above and beyond my expectations. Over all I had an amazing experience at the salon and with Krista. I booked with tangled up from a referral of a friend and I couldnt be happier with my hair! Went in with overgrown and never dyed hair and Krista styled it and got the exact color and look I was going for! She was super kind and comforting through out the process as well! Cant wait to go again in the future!

I don’t usually write reviews but the unprofessional behavior of some of the staff at this salon prompted me to warn anyone considering making an appointment here. I made my first appointment for a blowout and learned only after waiting 15 minutes that I will need to wait another 30 minutes. I arrived on time by the way. No value if people’s time and callous attitude. Go elsewhere.

Truly the best hair salon I’ve ever been to. Super clean, great environment, and friendly staff. It was a struggle to find a stylist that knew how to deal with curly hair but, Krista does a fantastic job. I’ve gotten my hair done here numerous times and each time, I leave feeling more confident and beautiful.

So bad. I am going to another salon to get a bob to fix the mess that they made of my hair. I have curly hair and paid extra for the ouidad cut. My service took about 30 minutes including the wash. I was not shown the back of my head at the end. I was sent out onto the street with soaking wet hair because “it looks best when it dries naturally”. It does not curl. The layers are not even. My face frame is a ridiculously short bang. I paid $88 for this and now must pay another salon again to fix this. Avoid this place at all costs. I regret coming here.

Krista is amazing! I had my hair destroyed in the past by another stylist and didn’t go to a salon in over 5 years. When I booked my first appointment with Krista over a year ago all that anxiety went away. Not only did she make me feel comfortable and heard she transformed my hair. From getting bangs to bleaching my hair Krista has done a lot to my hair. There is no one I could recommend more. Below are some before and after shots.

I went for the first time in the salon, I was utterly disappointed with my haircut. My hair before and after didnt have any change for me. I thought it was more expensive and less reasonable given my hair changes.. wont be visiting again.

Just had my hair cut and colored at Tangled Up and I couldnt be happier with the results! My dirty blonde balayage came out great and looks so natural. The staff here are so much fun and great to talk to, and very experienced stylists. 10/10 will definitely be coming back!

I love this hair salon. I come here for only hair cuts (because I don’t dye my hair) and they always do a wonderful job. I call the day of to book my appointments and they always have an open time slot. Nicki does an amazing cut & blowout. Shampoo, cut, and blowout for $43 is a deal you cannot pass.

Tangled Up is a fabulous salon. Tara is a master mixer who can blend colors for unique one of a kind color. All girls can give you up to date cuts and Danilo’s colors. I walked out feeling like a new person

I made an appointment on June 6th for June 27th and on the day of my appointment it was canceled. I was debating on writing a review because I know right now times are insane but with each day passing i regret even wanting to try this salon. There must not be any professionalism at this salon or maybe Im just used to salons that care about their clients.

Me and my friend went to your salon and got our hair done, we loved it so she went back thinking she would get a great. The girl who did her hair majorly messed it up, then to look good you guys tell her you’re going to fix it for free, so she calls and you tell her you’re only going to give her 25% off. Never going to return to your salon. So unprofessional.

I went to Tangled Up because my mom goes there faithfully and decided to give it a try. It has been the BEST decision! I went to Alison and will definitely go back from here on out. She IS hair, color, cut, she gets my hair and its not an easy head to do! (I even love HER hair!) She was so kind and has always been nice to my mom, too. She sincerely wants you to be happy with your cut, recommends the right product for your hair but was not pushy and although I never buy products in a salon, I actually did buy the one she suggested. It has made quite a difference in reducing the frizz Im happy to report. GO! You will not be disappointed. I even love the decor and high ceilings. Whats not to love. After trying four salons (yes four!) since my stylist retired after 35 years, I have finally found my new home. Thank GOD!

I went there for the first time yesterday and my stylist was Nicky and she was hands down AMAZING!!! I honestly love my haircut and the beautiful natural looking highlights I got. As someone with thick, curly hair thats not easy to cut, sometimes I am resistant to try new stylists..I did not have anything to worry about at Tangled Up! Allison did a fantastic job cutting and styling my hair. She even walked me through the whole process to explain how I could style my hair similarly myself. I highly recommend the salon and will be going to Allison regularly in the future.

My experience here was one that I hope anyone of African-American background or minority with curly SHOULD NEVER HAVE been to go through. Due to there lack of diversity and ability relate to different textures of hair. I had to chance to experience dishonesty and lack of professionalism. My hair is naturally kinky curly. I went to get my hair dyed, blow dried, and straightened for the first time here. Not only did I not get the color I wanted,my hair was puffy At the roots and frizzy all over. I truly would have appreciated the honesty; admitting that that lack the level of knowledge and ability the stylists had but instead of honesty, they continued and told me After they finished, they let me know how to deal with my hair and they do not have a straightener that fights my texture of hair. Personally I didn’t appreciate it and wouldn’t recommend any minority with curly kinky hair to go here. Save your money.

Tangled up is the best! I have been going to Alison who took my hair from a blonde color I was unhappy with to a rich brunette. Alison made me feel completely comfortable. She was professional and took the time to put different color clothes against my wrist to determine if I would look better with a warmer color or a cooler color. The end result looked amazing. Alison even stayed until an hour after the shop closed to finish up and make sure everything was perfect. She truly goes above and beyond. Not to mention, the prices at Tangled Up are reasonable. There are also discounts for Monmouth students. I would totally recommend for a great experience.

Ive been going to see Amanda for months, and she helped me go from fashion color, back to normal, then back to fashion color again, and somehow my hair is in better condition than it was when I started. I know I can sit in her chair, tell her to do whatever she wants with my head, and Ill come out looking and feeling amazing. The entire staff is very sweet, and immensely talented from what Ive seen them do while Im in the chair, and I cant recommend the salon enough. I drive 45+ minutes to get there, but when it comes to the health and look of my hair, Id rather make the trip and trust that Ill be ecstatic with the outcome than go somewhere locally and have a mediocre job done.

Allison was amazing! This was my first experience at tangled up and I am generally pretty picky when it comes to haircuts. Allison knows her stuff! She listened to exactly what I wanted and then offered her opinions and different technique ideas so that we arrived at the perfect cut and color. I love that she always checked in along the way to make sure we were on the exact same page. I left the salon spinning and twirling with nothing but smiles!

I love Tangled Up. The hair stylists are highly trained and super professional. Continuing education is their thing so the stylists are constantly learning and breathing new life into their hair cut and color designs. Pricing is reasonable and schedules are accommodating! I love working with Allison at Tangled Up!

I am new at Tangled Up My friend told me about this place, but the only thing is, its a 45 minute drive. But if Im willing to take that drive, it will be an experience that I will never forget. I made the appointment and walking in I was greeted with smiles, as if they have known me forever. Amanda is the person who did my hair, her personality and smile is infectious. She listens to you while she plays around with your hair. She hears your wants and needs... when all was said and done, I looked in the mirror and felt like I was glowing... It really was the best experience Ive had in the longest time and my friend was right.. the drive was absolutely worth it!!

I told them I wanted blonde and they did not give me what I ask for I asked she’d of time how much they said 210 dollars ok fine it was 277 and I was satisfied Nothing what I had In mind or showed a picture of what we said before they started I got a full head off highlights and not my full head of blonde hair never going back ..... after speaking to someone they said I could get 25%off no why am I paying to fix my hair you messed up the first time??? Not good customer service never again...so I just spoke to the owner and now she will again it’s almost a month later I’m still not Satisfied And they are not willing to fix my hair I shouldn’t have to pay again to get what I wanted the first time!!!!!

They took me for a color correction on short notice early in the morning. The stylist was amazing and so sweet!

My girlfriend went there and they didnt listen to her. She said she wanted her hair trimmed and straightened but they cut alot off and put alot of product in it. It took over an hour. When my girlfriend realized that they were done and her hair wasnt straightened she just left because she didnt want to be there for another hour for them to wash out the product and straighten it. The people were also rude to her.
