Incredible!! I can’t say enough great things about this place. New ownership gave this place a beautiful makeover in addition to high quality services offered. I love the infrared/red light beds. The treatment has truly changed my skin, hair and most of all pain and inflammation. It is truly an underrated treatment and this place offers it not only for an amazing price but also at top notch quality. Always clean and organized. The staff is also so helpful, compassionate and professional, especially Kevin. I am so happy I found this place. You won’t be disappointed.
I have been going to California Tan since they had their shop on Clark Ave. more than 10 years ago. I have always supported them—EVEN THROUGH THE PANDEMIC.In all the time Ive gone there, Ive successfully tanned for the full time without EVER burning. I have never once been told I couldnt tan for the entire time.I just went in to tan and the girl (never seen her) at the counter told me there was no way I could go for the entire 12 minutes because I hadnt been there since Feb 6. (I bought a five or six tan package last July 2020, and didnt come back in until this January—and nobody told me I couldnt tan the full time, NOR did I burn!)I asked her to call the owner, Kevin, and reminded him on the phone that we had met in the shop before and I explained the problem. He REFUSED to allow me to tan for the 12 minutes because he said he was trying to protect me and keep me safe. He went on to explain that this was their new policy because hed been getting sued by people who burned. I told him I was not informed of this new policy and that based on my history, I should be allowed to go for the full time because theres no way Id burn—I even offered to sign a waiver that I would not sue him if I burned.He refused so I told him I wanted a refund. I told him that if he was going to enforce this arbitrary policy and now take into account my history with the business, then I wanted my money back and would NEVER do business with them again. He refused again and said they had a no refund policy.So I told him I would see him in court.DO NOT WASTER YOUR MONEY ON THIS BUSINESS BECAUSE THEY WILL DICTATE HOW MUCH TIME YOU CAN TAN.I am 50+ years old, part Hispanic, and Im pretty sure I know my body and my skin better than Kevin.
I have used the: 20-minute beds, Stand-up booth, high pressure, and even spray tan since I began coming to California Tan (20 years ago). Since the new ownership I cant say Ive ever seen the place not spotless. Regarding Good Value -- I got a GREAT discount on a pair of SPY Sunglasses 2 weeks ago which saved me at least 50%!! The only issue I would improve is 1 of their 20-minute beds that I happened to use before didnt have a working speaker to hear music while I tanned, but I just turned on my phone playlist and solved that problem. All the other beds I have used since had music available though. So STAFF in case u are reading this and havent already handled it please attend to the audio issue as I dont think I vocalized that there was an issue during my visit. I have been coming here for about 4 years now and the new owner has really done a fantastic job of remodeling the salon - clean, bright and relaxing tones make you feel welcomed. The owner and staff are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this place!
Great first experience! The front desk girl was super knowledgeable and friendly. She explained all the packages and deals and didnt over do it! She was attentive and not on her phone like most places! Cant wait to come back!

Ive come back twice now, since change of owners. Im very disappointed..they sign says open at 10am (late) both times nobody was here at 10:30. The price is to high to treat your customers this way. 4 people walked up and left while I sat here waiting for them to open. Im going to wait because I want a refund....
Not only is this place run by the nicest and most professional staff which seems to be a rarity in a lot of businesses these days, but then you go and top that off by some fantastic deals that they offer. I don’t think you will find a better tanning salon anywhere in the area! Needless to say, very clean and very friendly!

I have been coming here for many years. Clean rooms, well maintained location, friendly and attentive staff.High and low pressure (strength of lamps) lay down and standup beds. Spray tanning. Carry lotions and have a small boutique for sun friendly clothing.Regular specials.
Went for a dark tan and washed off after 6 hours. The spray tan did not take. I thought it was me, but nope my daughters did not take either. Called up and was told Sorry maybe next time it will take Bad customer service for sure. Better to pay extra and go to a salon that knows what they are doing.

I’ve been a client with California Tan salon now since February; I pay $65 dollars a month. For the past month or two that I’ve been going, I haven’t been feeling a warm inviting atmosphere of customer service when I come in. Saturday June 24th, at 4:26, I checked in at the front desk with Courtney. I went to the room proceeded to apply the tanning lotion on my body. I haven’t even finished applying the lotion on the rest my body the tanning machine had started. Every time that I’ve had a session I was able to start my session by pushing the button when I was ready. But for some strange reason I felt that I was being rushed. I still proceeded to complete my session. Right after with only about 7-8 min of a session, I got dressed. I went to the counter and convey my concern to Courtney, that as a client that pays a monthly fee of $65 dollars. I’m allowed a sufficient amount of time for my tanning session. What she did was, she turned the tanning machine on early to rush me out, so she could close early. I felt rushed, disrespected, devalued and unappreciated as a client. I’ve already had a talk with the Manager of the store once before about the same employee named Courtney, about her lack of professionalism. It’s a shame when business owners hire employees that devalue their clients. Owners and employees have to always remember that it’s the costumer and regular clients that put food on there tables.

Ive been using the red light for a year. I started using it for my after work out soreness, and I can honestly say it has helped me with muscle recovery, extended my color tone, scars, and a car accident injury. Im Hooked on it. The girls that work there make the trip even more comforting, they are fun to talk to, always working hard, and more then happy to help out. Thanks gals :)

The staff is super friendly, there are lots of beds to choose from, the beds are clean, and packages are not only affordable, but you are able to bump up on any visit by just paying the difference. Went twice, no burn and already have a nice base.
Been going her starting every spring and all summer and going one month in fall to even out my tan lines out for the passed few years after the salon on South closed. I love how clean it is here and extremely comfortable and number 1, the best personality workers are here. It became home real quick from the worlers possitive atitudes and theyre kindness of making sure youre satisfied and actually getting your moneys worth.
