The staff is slow to respond to medication emergencies/requests. After reaching out multiple times via email and calls- it feels as if they are purposely “punishing” us for bothering them and further prolonging the process. This behavior endangers people’s health. There are hundreds of qualified people searching for work! Fire your HR, if you even have one- and hire a good front end team. This is unacceptable.The psychiatrist is wonderful, I hope they can solve their staffing problem.

So much better then the prior care provider I used! Very relieved to be working with them! The doctor was exceptional and really cared to help. They should have 5 stars overall!

Despite what other reviews have said, after going to Mind Care Services for over 2 years now, I can say that my experience has been nothing short of what you want out of a health care office. While I never had issues with the staff, it is my understanding that the staff that was giving people trouble have been replaced, and the new staff has been conducting themselves at a much higher level than before. I think its safe to say you can disregard any older reviews for this establishment as the issues have been addressed. Beyond the staff though, the treatment that I have received has been excellent and I truly feel like the providers care about me and what I have to say. Dr Sandoval has done a great job!

This place is a joke, is it even a real office? They dont respond to any of their own methods of contacting them. Find somewhere else to spend your insurance companys money as this is a waste of time

Dr Sandoval was my provider through an outpatient program. I chose to continue with her after the program as she did very well by me. She listened to what I reported, came up with options and advice and we worked on my treatment together.Her OFFICE, however, IS BADLY STAFFED AND MANAGED.. Multiple voicemails left at the office with no return call.I was without medication for 4 days because the office failed to respond after 6 voice messages. Only by chance, when they actually answered the phone one day, did I get the issue resolved.Sandoval is very good but she needs to fire the management and staff. Theyre in the wrong business to be ignoring clients.

This office is an absolute nightmare to deal with, particularly the incompetent and disrespectful people at the front desk. They NEVER return calls to your pharmacy, they rarely return patient calls, and they treat the patients like little children. It sickened me every time to hear the way they would talk to people in the office, just so condescending and flat-out rude.The doctor refuses to authorize refills—even on medications that youve been taking consistently for well over a year or longer—unless you schedule an appointment every 60 days and waste your time so she can collect more money. And it can take WEEKS to get an appointment. I honestly cant believe theyre even still in business.

Avoid at all costs.A doctor with the first name Michael asks inappropriate personal questions, writes incorrect prescriptions and cant even get information of his patients correct after multiple corrections.Dr. Ng is discriminatory based on her personal opinions about someone.The front desk is a nightmare as well, they provide incorrect instructions, conflicting information, rarely answer the phone and cant follow up on basic tasks.

Michael was my nurse practitioner and he was awful. He was so unprofessional and called me almost 40 mins after our original appointment. They don’t take your concerns seriously and try to put them off instead of asking you in depth questions about your concerns.

Dominique has been helping me the last couple of years and each and every time I speak with her I feel heard and understood. She always lets me be apart of the decision with what approach is being taken and makes me feel welcome and comfortable. My absolute favorite!

First & foremost, while I cannot speak of the front desk staff at this facility, I can say that Dr. Sandoval is one of the BEST doctors in her field. Over the last several years I have had to Withdraw from a ten year suboxone addiction. Dr. Sandoval has been so instrumental in my recovery and has always gone out of her way to take care of my immediate needs on a moments notice and often times after hours. She has shown compassion, kindness and understanding of the issues I have had to suffer with while coming out of a psychotic nightmare! Further, she takes the time to listen to my fears, anxieties, worries, etc etc... and has always provided multiple options in just getting through the many psychological problems associated with this type of recovery. Aside of an individual working up front at the desk, who may be having an off day, this is an office that truly cares about your mental well being!

This office and staff are very unprofessional!!! I highly recommend seeking help somewhere else.

Man, this place is straight awful. The previous owners were great but once they became Mind Care services, everything changed. The front desk people are so rude. I spoke to a woman yesterday on May 29th and she was giving all kinda attitude. How can you call yourselves a mental health service when the very people representing your business are rude to individuals with mental health.Theres a reason why all of your therapists and nurse practitioners are starting to leave Mind Care Services. Its because your business doesnt represent your workers or your clients the way they should. If you have mental health concerns and need help, you better find another place cause this place isnt it. Im switching to a different provider asap. Awful. Just pathetic

They sent my prescription to some pharmacy called Advantage Health Care services without my knowledge and the pharmacy filled my prescription with the generic brand of medication. Brenda in the front office claims that they have documentation that they informed me that it would be sent out. She has yet to prove this to me. The generic medication works, but it also makes me dizzy. The pharmacy said that the doctor has to write on the prescription that I am allowed to have the brand and not generic. I have taken the brand version for 10 years and I have never needed the doctor to write it on the prescription. I had to call them multiple times every day to get them to action this. After hearing multiple versions of what I needed to do, it was clear that they have no idea how to operate. They are not on the same page. I have been going here for convenience because truth be told, I dread the process of looking for a new doctor. If youre considering going to this doctor, DONT. Its gone downhill since the split when it became Mind Care.As if the other horrible reviews are not enough, heres one more quick thing about the unprofessionalism. During one of my appointments Dr. Sandoval talked about how an ex employee had stolen some equipment and she was going to press charges. I mean, she definitely should have but I dont know if she should have been talking to patients about it.

I have been seeing Dr. Sandoval MD for approximately 2 years. During that time I have found her to be one of the best psychiatrists in the Los Angeles/ Orange County area. She has never forced a treatment on me and we both come up with solutions to my different psychological problems that can arise at any time. In the past, I have had very bad experiences with multiple psychiatrists. I have been seeing both a psychiatrist and psychologist since I was 13 and I am currently 37. I have gone through several over the years. Dr. Sandoval is probably in my top 2 ever if not my favorite I have ever had. She has treated me for both depression and panic attacks til this very day and I am still a current patient. I have zero qualms about recommending Dr. Sandoval for Panic Attacks and Depression. I highly recommend her services. Great bedside manners and very competent. She cares about her patients.

Do not waste your time trying to make an appointment here!I am so disappointed in this place. Making a call to schedule an appointment is so hard for people with mental illnesses. I made an appointment about a month and a half ago after contemplating if I really need to go to a psychiatrist for a few months. They called me a week later to reschedule me because the provider wasnt going to be there that day. They scheduled me for the week after my original appointment, which I was fine with. Then the day of my appointment, they called me two hours prior to my appointment time and canceled on me! Stating that the provider had an emergency. They tried to reschedule me again for 2 weeks from now & I said, no thank you, Id rather find a more reliable doctor.Why is it that the provider can cancel on me two hours prior but if I canceled two hours prior Id have to pay a fee?? Absolutely disgusted with this place!

I have enjoyed my mental health treatment until about a year ago. The office went under a remodel, with it came a new front desk staff.The only way I can describe or compare dealing with these unprofessional, unkind, rude and spiteful woman, would be TROLLS!They are trolls beneath the bridge.I do not understand why these women chose to be in a mental health office. They are not understanding or compassionate in the slightest bit.I have never been talked to, or treated with such disrespect.I have brought it up to the office manager, as well as Dr. Sandoval, in person and through email, yet nothing has been done.If you have been in care of a mental health professional, you know how hard it is to find someone you are comfortable with.Yesterday I made the choice to find a new Doctor, it was not an easy decision.I do not think the front desk is a good representation for the doctors at this office.If you can make it past them and stay on their good side.. this is a great mental health facility.If you do not have it in you to be pushed around and treated badly... steer clear of mind care services!

Recently moved to the area and didnt want to lose my medication so I made an appointment here. Their staff was fine I didnt find them rude like other reviews say but I did find it shocking that they charge $35 for refills regardless of the insurance unless you make an appointment to renew your prescription. Ive been taking my medication for 3+ years and have never had to pay an office to renew my prescription or been obligated to come in monthly to continue receiving my medication. this is such a scam.They also give out paper prescriptions which is antiquated and highly inconvenient. I have adhd, its hard for me to do things like set up appointments and go to the pharmacy to drop off my prescription and then go again to pick up. I would hope a psych office would be more empathetic and make things easier on their patients.EDIT: On top of all that they make you pay for your own drug test and don’t tell you it will be over $100. DO NOT GO HERE.

I’ve been a patient of this mental healthcare practice for a year and a half as it’s one of the only ones in Long Beach and accepts my insurance. Calling it a mental healthcare practice is a stretch. This is a turn and burn facility that has no compassion or care for their patients.The women at the front desk are extremely rude and unprofessional. They never call back when they say they’re going to, they don’t call pharmacies, help with prescription refills, or care about your general well being. I have called them and had full conversations about my needs with a specific plan of action with a promise that they’ll call me back and they never do. When I call the next day to ask about whatever I needed help with they act as if the conversation never happened and there are only two of them. I’m not talking about a trivial medication, I’m talking about something that keeps me alive and can’t be stopped abruptly. They don’t care.It’s extremely frustrating and discouraging when you’re asking for help and the people who are supposed to help you could not care less about your life or well being.Dominique Griffin is the psychiatric nurse practitioner who I was seeing and she never remembers what medication I’m taking, doesn’t give her patients her contact information, and used the word retarded in relation to something she found stupid. She pushes drugs on you that you don’t want to take because she thinks she knows best. She doesn’t listen or care much. When she diagnosed me, after 5 minutes into our first meeting, she told me to basically suck it up because I’m only bipolar and not homeless. She treated me and looked at me as if I was a teenager in trouble when I was in the worst time of crisis in my entire life. She told me it could be worse and that I should be grateful because I’m better off than some people.My whole experience with this practice has been beyond horrible, mortifying, and anxiety inducing. I hope that no one ever has to experience this lack of compassion and care from any medical “practice” or any medical professional in general. If you go here, good luck.

Terrible service, you will get bounced around and put on hold for long periods of time for no reason.They are completely incapable of getting anything done in a timely manner. I have been waiting on a form to be filled out for over a week now, even though Im checking in at least once a day, and I have seen no progress.Get new staff they are killing this place.😑

Main care services is a caring, understanding and warm environment for treating and helping me with issues in my life . Highest recommendation!

The treatment I received years ago was fine. But as of July 19 this place employs the person who might just be be the rudest, laziest receptionist in the entire world.
