If you are committed and planning on going to at least 3-5 times a week you can choose this. Still Planet Fitness is better than Crunch Fitness. And in case you are beginner and want to sign up for personal training sessions, PLEASE DO NOT DO IT. Spend your money elsewhere where you can get most of out it like Orange Theory.These guys charge your for every damn thing. I was charged 600/month twice even though I couldn’t utilize the initial 12 sessions for personal training. People don’t wear masks, staff doesn’t seem to care about it. No temperature check any Covid precaution. Please do not spend $30 every month for accessing gym which is similar to Planet Fitness or any local gym

I spent money on PT sessions and needed to cancel membership due to moving away. The manager Damont said he would help me with my refund all I needed to do was email him. I did this and it’s now nearly two months later and there is nothing has been done. Please be careful how you spend your money here. Even if someone is friendly or tells you what you want to hear it doesn’t mean you should believe or trust them. Remember this is a business and all they care about at the end of the day is making a profit.

Before it was crunch it was 24 hour fitness. I use to go there. The facility is nice and clean and the staff is always nice. It has everything that u need to work every body part u need worked out. My second home..I love it here

This gym’s management needs to step it up. My gf contacted them early July regarding canceling her membership due to moving out of the country. The manager Damont cancelled it, but did not mention that her personal training sessions would not be valid after the gym membership was cancelled. He now isn’t replying to her emails and has not put her in touch with his management who could help resolve this issue. That’s $150 she spent and in addition the gym mistakenly charged her $28 one month and they said that credit is also gone. This is ridiculous. Don’t join Crunch if you want to avoid dealing with incompetent management and people simply do not care about the money you spend.

This place is clean and usually not crowded. The staff have a great attitude. Very welcoming. There are 4 flat bench presses, 2 incline presses, 1 decline press, 3 squat racks, 2 deadlifting platforms and lots of machines, but only 1 pec deck. There are 3 lat row/pull down stations, which is more than most gyms. I forget how many adjustable benches they have, maybe 5 or 6. They do have classes and lots of other machines and cardio equipment, plus a functional area. Usually the music is good, but often they slip on the slow jams, which makes me want to relax in a tub with a glass of wine and a joint instead of powering through the next 60 minutes of cardio. Hydromassage is free. Theres free tanning, I believe, though I havent used it. The major drawback is parking. You have to purchase an annual parking pass ($25) to be able to park there. To do that, you have to deal with the parking office for the office complex (which closes at 3 pm and is well hidden on the lower level of the structure). Theres a separate parking structure that you have to take a back road to enter by car and use a giant card to get in and out. They have normal hours right now. They close at 11 weekdays, 9 Fridays and 7 Saturday and Sunday. If you need a 24 hour Crunch, go to the one on Long Beach Blvd. Thats a great gym, but fewer benches and more crowded than dtlb.One note, the first time you visit, youll have trouble finding it. Go out the parking structure, then next to the bank building, take the steps down into the courtyard. Turn 90 degrees from where you expect to see it, then squint, and there it will be.

Gets pretty busy, at about 6 and 7pm. The cycling classes are 🔥 especially with instructors Keith, Debbie and Celine.

Mario came to my rescue after discovering that the high intensity group class (which I loved ) was too much for a senior citizen to take on. He designed a special program utilizing pulleys and various equipment that resulted in similar benefits. He topped the session with an incredible massage on the hydro massage vinyl bed that rolls along the body from the top of your neck down to your heels. It may be paused anywhere to customize the benefits resulting a great session at my level. Another trainer worth noting is Brandon. Always willing to offer assistance with the correct use of the equipment. The space is welcoming, bright, carpeted and never crowded. Plenty of equipment to go around. The members are dedicated to achieving a good workout and are friendly.

Affordable, and the machines are clean. I havent encountered musty people yet. I love how the staff doesnt bother you at all, I used to go to 24 hr fitness and they would always go up to me while I was working out and try to get me to pay for personal trainer services.

Brandon the Assistant Manager is the worst employee there. Asked about what membership deals they had going on and he said well what does it say online. What a useless waste of an assistant manager, not surprised Darrell has kept him there considering he is just as incompetent as well. Hope the district managers or corporate can finally consider everyones advice in firing this lot and getting new management.

DONT GO HERE! They closed their business on 3/16. I reached out on 3/17 and wasnt able to get ahold of anyone. I message them on Yelp since I wasnt able to contact the gym to cancel our memberships. They received our message on Yelp but the manager never email me and then they charged me a few days later. I asked for a refund and now they are saying no even though they were aware that I submitted a request prior to being billed. I cannot believe how money hungry the franchisee is to still be billing people during this time and to not accommodate their members.

Will make you give them access to debit your account like a wire transfer. 🚩Wont notify you that they are going to take money from you. 🚩Wont notify you with a receipt that they took money from you. 🚩Will do all of that without giving you a contract. 🚩Will not refund you. Been a member almost since they opened but recently theyve been playing rap music very very loud. You cannot listen to your own music on your own personal devices! Its crazy! I just saw a woman ask if they could turn down the music a little and they outright refused telling her over and over that it was not loud and that it was her that had the issue!

Great gym. Actually has awesome amenities the hydromassage and sun tan devices. Lots of machines easy parking and access. Large location nice staff and great tools in the gym. Never had to wait for a machine. Well designed and lots of equipment for all. Very clean and well kept seems to be very well staffed. The body scan is also very cool. A great value for the price, probably one of the best values.

Very cool to go to in the DTLB area. The only problem is that the parking structure charges for parking now after 6pm when it was free a few months ago.

Very disappointed as I showed up for a 9am class today and the gym was closed with no notice. Open time is 7am. There were a dozen people waiting to get in and the instructor didnt even know why it wasnt open. This isnt the first problem Ive had & am finding this place so inconsistent. Im reconsidering keeping this membership since there are so many other great gym options in LB. Get it together Crunch Downtown LB.

Love this place! Not crowded and new equipment. Parking is free after 630pm so its worth the drive to get in and out and not wait for the people who come to the gym to look at themselves, use the phone, or have a meeting with their friends... you know who Im talking about.

This Franchise Location is TERRIBLE!! They are so money hungry!!! They closed their business on 3/16 so I reached out the next day to ensure our memberships were cancelled. I just Joined this gym and Im glad I did. The advertisement is a little misleading because the advertised price is after the initial $49.00 to get started which still isnt bad. Just need to be more upfront, however but badly priced. The equipment and staff make this gym great. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to get in shape. Most workout classes is included in the price, but you can always work out on you own as well.

Ive been working out here for well over a year. Great equipent and for the most part, great and friendly people and staff. It came time for me to renew my annual membership. They were having some technical issues so rather the fix the issue, the manager decided to end my previous membership which was still good for another 30 days and start my new year membership, effectively stealing my money. Also there is no free parking.Were it not for the stealing my money experience, even with no free parking I would give this place 4 stars. But I am a believer than u dont do business this way

Im just overall disappointed with this gym and their customer service. The flippant way my wifes issues were handled of not being given a contract until a bad review was written. The hidden fees that are put into contracts, that when I look for them in my email, its just a receipt. Many times I come in here, its summer, and there are no wipes, but spray bottles strewn across the gym with no rags. Truly looking forward to the termination of this contract, not looking forward to the money Ill have to spend to remove myself from it either.

I really like this place! Its my home gym. Depending on who the manager on duty is, sometimes the music sucks. But its always clean and you go in there for a really great workout. They always provide the space time and equipment to do just that!

First day was chaotic. Most of the staff was unfamiliar but super friendly. Gym was nice and clean. All the machines have good tech but you will need to figure out for yourself. Henry was there and kept everything flowing as well as one could on a first day. Congratulations. Lets hope this gym stays hyper clean.

Love the HIIT section. Lots of Cross Fit type equipment available. Downside is no towels and only two showers.

Pros: Clean gym with all the necessary equipment, staff is friendly.Cons: Cannot take gym bag on the floor, so if you use chalk, barbell clips, wrist wraps, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, or have to swap various weightlifting shoes during workouts, this may not be the place for you.

Very nice and clean facility. New machines. But they should list classes that go with the membership. Came here to try a bike class and was told Not in my Membership. They should star upgraded classes.

General Manager has HORRIBLE customer service. I needed to cancel my membership for financial reasons and messaged them 9 days prior to my next billing (it had to be 10 days prior).He still proceeds to charge me the next months bill AND the annual fee for the ENTIRE year of 2020! Also his communication throughout the whole process is lackluster.Thanks a lot! I was going to come back this gym when my situation changed but you can forget that.

The HIIT classes are fantastic. I really enjoy Matt, BC, Danielle, and Lyndas classes. The Fitness manager, Romeje is attentive to clients and genuinely wants you to progress and succeed. This is the first gym I truly enjoy going to. The instructors and trainers are all friendly and supportive. I feel comfortable the classes though I am not the most fit person (yet!). They also have great heath programs to keep you on track. My only complaint is that the front desk manager is not the greatest. He has a bit of an attitude problem and has a severe need to be right. That being said, he is barely at the desk so interactions with him are minimal. The rest of the front desk staff are welcoming and friendly.

I can always get a great work out here.

Crunch is a decent gym ESPECIALLY for the price. In my experience, the staff (inclusive of the front desk, Personal Trainers, house keepers, management, class instructors, etc.) are always kind and welcoming. The gym has all the amenities I use. Not many gyms offer so many classes at Crunchs rate(s). The Hydromassage feels so good and I feel so much better after showering then using the Hydromassage when its not under maintenance.I have seen a large improvement concerning cleaning tools on the gym floor. These past few months Ive been seeing the wipes filled all the time in comparison to initially joining. Im a bit of a germ-o-phobe, and, when I go to the gym, I want it to be as clean as potentially possible. Yes, I wipe down machines after I use them. I dont want to see hair strands around the shower drains and shower floors. Thats everyones responsibility-- but, mainly the gyms in the long run.I dont use the tanning booth.Parking works well with my schedule. The gym is in a very busy (business, residential, and traffic) area and offers an affordable parking pass for members attending the gym at times the parking lot is most convenient. Itd be nice to have mini-cups near the water fountain cause the filtered water requiring (well, I think best with) a cup (of some sort) tastes so good. Overall, this Crunch has been improving.

Small weight room/space. Many weight machines missing. Doesnt have everything for full workouts. They care about selling personal training and have a big turf. Nice new gym equipment and good cardio machines, but missing alot. Will still continue to go to 24 hrs.

At 5 min before 7pm Sunday eve, all the TVs were switched off by an employee. People were still working out. At 1 minute before 7pm, the lights were switched off and then back on. At 7 sharp, all the lights were suddenly switched off. Permanently. Some people were still doing weights, some on cardio machines. What if someone had gotten hurt? People cant complete their workout?? Hmm. Rudeness.

Its small right now since its pre-opening. Its got ample machines to Target most of the muscle groups. Only gripe at the moment is that the free weights go from 15 to 50 and skip everything in between. :[

It is 7:16am on a Saturday and the gym is supposed to be open at 7am. Staff aren’t here to open the gym. There is crowd outside. This happens about 2 to 3 times a month. What can be done to make sure the gym opens on time?

Sanitizer wipes are always empty. Very muggy and hot inside because the A.C. isnt effective. No fans to circulate air either. Clean because it is new but I dont expect that to last long. Bixby knolls location always has someone roaming and cleaning and wiping down things
