I was leery of Western dental because back in the day they had a bad reputation. But I went ahead and tried them it was very close to my house they had an appointment right away. They treated me very very well and even when my tooth broke before my extraction they came and saw me on a Saturday and they were very wonderful and it was pain free I was absolutely thrilled with them. And they have very up-to-date equipment. Everybody there was very nice

I have had the best experience 😌taking my daughter to Western dental. The extraction Doctor was absolutely professional. The Doctor was a true miracle worker and a blessing. Im eternally grateful for the care you took with my angel. Thank you so much. The staff here at Western Dental are so courteous and on point with guest needs. I wont go anywhere else. The service I have received on my self as well, is amazing.

I made an appointment for a simple teeth cleaning. The front office staff doesnt greet you as you come in and youre lucky to be acknowledged at all within 10 minutes. I had some trouble understanding what some of the people were saying as they wore masks and spoke quickly with accents. When I asked them to repeat they be came agitated. At one point someone from the front office came back and threatened to ask me to leave. They took more x-rays than Ive ever had in one sitting and told me I would not get a cleaning that day because I needed a deep cleaning. I see my out-of-network dentist for cleanings two or three times a year and my hygenist always compliments me on my healthy gums but these people insisted I had pockets while they never checked for pockets. They went from the x-rays. So, I had to go back. The second experience was even worse. This is the first time in decades I have been hurt by an injection and my jaw is still sore. Someone should give these people some lessons in greeting patients and making them feel less like objects and more like people.

Overall, I had a good experience at Western Dental. I went in for a deep cleaning as it had been some time since I had seen a dentist. The facility was clean, the staff were efficient and professional. The only thing that would have make my experience better was clearer communication about the procedures and a bit more bed-side manner from the doctors and staff. But, all in all, a solid dental office. I made an appointment for my daughter next week.

Dont come here, ITS A SCAM. I thought Western Dental was a professional business but I was SCAMMED. It took me 2 months to realize I was SCAMMED. I came here for a braces consultation and now I see their process was done backwards and I know it was on purpose. The lady who wears glasses and does contracts was treating me so nice in the beginning of my visit when she was explaining to me how much I would pay for braces if I took the contract now and how much I would pay if I took it later. Obviously the contract at the moment is cheaper and I told her Id take it now. I gave her my debit card and she nicely went to her computer to put my info. BUT what i didnt know because Ive never been to a consultation, is that they still had to do my general which means check my teeth with xrays. I waited a whole hour waiting for them to come back from lunch and after their lunch is when they did my general. It turns out i have to do many things with my teeth before I get braces. So the lady that did my contract told me she cancelled it. But she SCAMMED me and took money out of my bank account . Im still waiting to speak to the manager.

Today was my first time at western dental and let me say, my experience was beyond impeccable. Dr. Gupta was so nice and answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable under her care. And also Jasmine was very helpful from the beginning to the end of my visit. She gave me clarity on what my visit was for and even helped me with scheduling future appointments! Highly recommend this office! The whole staff is nice and they were VERY clean and I always saw someone sanitizing something!!!

I like Western dental my first visit and my second visit was very easy and they make you feel comfortable theyre not disrespectful like some dental offices I went to in the past theyre very professional they work on your teeth right away you dont have to have no wait time once you fill out your paperwork the dental hygienist is very professional and nice the dentist is nice and professional like I said they make you feel comfortable and theyre very friendly even a receptionist is very friendly! HORRIBLE. No one introduced themselves to me. Techs screwed up my x-rays because they werent paying attention during shift change.Person I assume was dentist confirmed x-ray showed no cavities, then spent lots of time trying to sell me a crown I dont need. DID NOT LOOK AT MY GUMS - OR EVEN IN MY MOUTH! And she talked to the back of my head - how rude!Person who I assume was hygienist did a super quick clean, didnt even scrape even though its been 18 mos since my last cleaning.Filed a complaint with head office, was promised calls back from 2 managers within 48 hours. After a week got call to schedule cleaning. Huh?!Call back - twice - and customer service says they cant find my complaint and I have to call local office - except number they give me is the one I called to get through to head office!Waiting on insurance to uphold complaint so I can go elsewhere since my gums are swollen and I need a deep cleaning.

This happened twice.2) They will harass you via phone.3) Their customer service reps act like are trained to pass the buck, transfer calls, etc. None of them will answer questions.4) Intake physician will be deceptive regarding what insurance will cover.5) I watched them have a visibly intoxicated person sign documents.DO NOT USE. Incompetent and unprofessional. So far I have went to 3 western dental locations. I schedule an appointment with Western Dental and there is always a problem. Not enough time to complete entire procedure, not able to take in because patient is new at location, etc. Those issues have to be better communicated with the Western Dental Call Center. My advice for Western Dental locations is to collaborate better with the call centers and as a patient schedule directly with the office! When you talk to the call center urge them to transfer you to the dentist office directly!Besides waiting long for first procedure, there is also a long wait between procedures more than half hour.

UNPROFESSIONAL and incompetent, I would like to share my horrific experience with the staff, the service procedures that ibhqve gotten. In November 9 I had a rootcanal done and while purforming the rootcanal Dr. Elsis broke a piece of my tooth. Ever since that happened I been going back 2 times a week for them to take responsibility and to fix my tooth and all the manager from the facility only re schedules me to just given me the run around and about a week ago I found out that all of a sudden Dr. Elsisi is no longer at the Long Beach location. He also performed 2 fillings that im also been having problems with and ever since November 9 I been having an infection in my gums, and dentist office only gives me prescriptions for antibiotics to fight the infection. 😫😫😣😠. Also after advising the collection agency not to withdraw any $ from my account until they take responsibility of fixing all my teeth and they still did it without my consent 😣😠🤔

They only care about money here with doctors with 0 people skills that are probably straight out of school. Theres no privacy here either, it is set up like a low budget trauma unit and anyone passing by can see your Xrays. The doctor will probably spend no more than 5 minutes with you. Its truly sad to see.. and even worse to be treated here. They will really push for you to use that credit and make payments. Im going elsewhere for a second opinion.The dental assistant/xray tech is very sweet though. I would have only gave this place one star if it wasnt for her.

The team at Western Dental here in Long Beach was fantastic. I took my teenage son in to have 4 teeth removed - never a fun time. Everyone was courteous, professional and we were in and out in less than an hour. Dr Elhussiny did an amazing job and made sure my son was as comfortable as possible. I would highly recommend this team to anyone in need of dental care.

My experience was great! I dont really know why people were complaining about the service. I had an appointment at 2pm. It took 20 minutes to be seen, 15 minutes to extract my tooth and I was out in less than an hour. It was busy, but they still seems to work efficiently. Ill go back to this office for my next extraction/dental care. Everyone, from the front desk to the back room was straight forward and polite, fast, knowledgeable and efficient.

I really like the service provided from Western Dental. From the receptionist to the x-ray technicians and the Dentist were all really kind to my children and me. My son who is 14 years old and my daughter who is 9 all told me that they like this dentist. Keep up the great work everyone. And thank you all for the wonderful service.

I am consistently being told information that is not about me because they are looking at other peoples charts. For example, I was harassed by the front office for a payment that wasnt for my treatment, she actually tried to argue with me about it by over talking me. . . Utterly ridiculous!The doctors are always short staffed, I waited today for nothing 1.5 hours to see another person, not my dentist, who acted like she was scared. The same front office person was with her. I told her to get my dentist... the only person that has worked in my mouth since I joined.I received harassing phone calls for a $100 payment that was already covered with my care credit.And last but not least, I waited an hour to be told that my teeth trays werent in yet. My question was, why didnt anyone check the day before and make a phone call informing me?. . Im still waiting for that answer!This location should be closed for sensitivity, etiquette and professionalism training while they hire new staff!

I didnt see a dentist, because the front office was discussing my bill balance payment. I had made arrangements with Terry at corporate office to get the money on the first of each month. Apparently, there were no notations in the computer. She was asking for a payment today. I tried to explain it to her

The office has friendly staff. I’ve been coming here for a year and they treat me very well. Only thing I’d advise people is to call the office directly. The 1 800 number isn’t very reliable. One time they scheduled me when the department of braces was in and I waited for a very long time. That’s why I only make my appointments with the direct office number. Beware of this place is a total scam and they like to take advantage of the elderly!!! They made my dad apply for a Care Credit card to cover for services not covered by his Medicare. He applied and right away they charged the credit card with over $8,000 of services my dad never received! We are taking legal measures against this and I hope they shut this place down!!!

Seems like no one here wants to do their job. I was going to sign contract with them 100$ down 100$ a month; when I called back ready to sign the lady said well now its 250$ down but couldnt explain why it suddenly went up 150$... They were helpful at first, but once they realized I wasnt rich that quickly changed. To me it truly seemed like all they wanted was your money, and to leave you in pain.

The people at the front desk are horrible. I came in to cancel my account with them because I was moving out of state. Fast forward two months later I get a call I have an outstanding balance for a service that wasnt performed on me. The people at the front desk do NOT communicate well because they didnt know where they were transferring me to they just wanted to get me off the phone. Ive asked several times to speak to a manager and Ive never gotten a call back til this day. They tried charging me 2000$+ for braces I do not have. When I walked in to cancel my account the ladies at the front desk had attitude about it and were being condescending about it. I have been told that the way western dental works with braces is even if they didnt perform the whole service on you, you owe the whole amount anyway, even if they just did X-rays on you. Sounds like a scam to me. Anyways, the people specifically at this office need to get their info together, they need to also step up their communication skills with everybody there because clearly they dont know who you need to speak to half the time, theyll just pawn you off to someone so they dont have to deal with you. My overall experience with this office and western dental period was DISGUSTING.

The inside office is okay, staff is nice but they do charge alot for general. I spoke to corporate regarding autopay, My husband paid full amount to close the account for one of my kids braces, They are still trying to charge us montly, corporate is all over the place and im not very happy with them at all. Case is still pending! What a headache! 2 stars only due to the way they take care customers with issues and at that its there mistakes.

If I could give it 10 stars i would. I went in to get some teeth extracted and i was extremely nervous about it because i have such a low pain tolerance. I made a comment about that to the front staff when checking in and they all made me feel so much more comfortable, assuring me it wouldn’t hurt and it would be an easy process. Rosa the dental assistant who assisted with my extraction was super nice and reassuring as well. She explained to me every step she was doing so I wouldn’t panic and freak out. The extraction specialist then took my teeth out in less than 10 minutes! Overall they made my experience super pleasant and happy. They really care about your comfort which is top priority for me.

The Dentist and staff are very professional and friendly, they are very understanding. The office and examination rooms are very clean .I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a nice clean friendly Western Dental.

Not impressed. Waited around 45 minutes after my appointment time. Prices were high, even with PPO insurance. X-ray technician could not get positioned correctly and took twice as many shots as necessary (I feel like Im still glowing). They give me a sales job for 10-15+ minutes and I had to ask many times to give me prices, but they kept on with the sales pitch.

I do not like going to the dentist, thats why I left out 1 star. The service was great. They make you feel welcome when you walk in the door even when they take you to the back everyone is nice. They sometimes run a little late or a lot, but I take that they are being patient with people like me, who are scared of the dentist. So if I have to wait, that is fine with me. Finance is very helpful too. Dr. Chang is patient and very nice. I totollay recommend this place. Facilty is clean. Major plus for me.

Today i had a visit with Tam for a deep cleaning i am a new patient for this Western Dental on Atlantic in Long Beach. I really liked the way she treated me as a patient, she made sure to ask me if i was ok at all times, very nice and friendly. I felt very comfortable with her. I will definetly request to see her again. The staff is also very nice. Great service.

This office is unprofessional and incompetent. Dr Lee is a horrible orthodontist — she doesnt know what she is doing and needs to find a different profession. The only reason Im giving this office 1 star is because I cant give it a 0, which is what they deserve. Please, find another office.

I went there they charge me almost $3000 to just put one crown. And she did not even clean my teeth. And on top of that I called them a week later to tell them that the crown or fake teeth that was put in started to swell and had my gums inflame I was told it might go down give it time. Well now I have a infection up under this teeth and pus is c ok long out of it And I still had to pay that $3000 dollars I feel roped off by these people.

I came here because my home office in Downey (imperial and woodruff) is closed for a couple weeks. I was told they are without basic necessities. Therefore, I schedule an appointment here. Unbeknownst to me and my son (we both had appts), I needed to bring our medical insurance information. I explain to the woman at the front desk about me being a pt at Downey. She is already aware, but still says I need to provide the insurance cards. I tell here my insurance information is in the system the representative who scheduled the appointment looked it up. She then turns to someone in an office to confirm the closure as if she was going to allow us to be seen, then repeats that she can do nothing. Honestly, i believe these ladies are vapid and unhelpful. Makes me appreciate the staff in Downey more even though they have a problem being on- time with appts. I call the scheduling appt to complain about this injustice and due language barriers (of 3 different representatives) i could not even do that. So please allow me. There should be something in place for this situation. My son and I are not the reason Downey Western Dental is closed (for weeks). I should not have to re- provide any information. I expressly told the person who scheduled my appointment i did not have them handy when he asked for the numbers (or maybe he did not understand me). However, he still found our (active) information and failed to mention we would not be seen without it. This whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. And since the customer service is so poor outside of my home office that will be closed for weeks. Im in the market for new, helpful, considerate dental care.

They are always canceling appointments and always make it seem like it your fault even with valid proof, not even with word of mouth confirmation, while being at the facility, a day ahead, will help you keep an appointment nor will the appointment be able to be found. Then the dentist always going out of town or have a emergency or leaving early, causing you to create a new appointment weeks later. They always give a passive answer to get you out the door but there is no solution, they cant even keep their word on calling you back but then when you call them they cant even help you. Then theres plenty of times you see staff lie about their busy situation to avoid talking to patient over the phone, when they are literally SITTING AT THE DESK. There is no care for patients here at this facility. I can guarantee you everyone at this facility is about their paychecks and not about patients, even back staff kept talking and inquiring and worried about patients who are still in the office on a day where appointments were schedule saying Oh my god there still people here, why are there people still here, isnt this overtime, this is overtime right over and over, just think how uncomfortable is it for a patient to hear that again and again like were are some kind of inconvenience to their situation. Can I also include that they must have a problem with comprehending with what you say or what your capable of paying or not, so now im sitting here with 2 bills that I cant even afford, even after assuring and asking MANY questions, they hit you with a yes, yes yes and you get the bill thats otherwise or your appointment is otherwise. If you ask me, and Im pretty sure no one at this facility would care, but they need a restaffing or reevaluation on who they are suppose to be catering to. This is a fairly new facility and im a new patient not even a month in and Im on my way to finding a new dentist to go to. So who ever is responding with a passive reply to all these reviews you can save it, because my next move is going to the State Dental Board, and figure out is this facility is providing me with fair and whats right dental regarding my bill and services rendered because it seem that the bill lady at the facility is always busy even after waiting on the phone for hour and a half because its like your forced to because you KNOW THEY WILL NOT CALL YOU BACK FOR ANY REASON OR ANY BUSINESS YOU HAVE WITH THEM, but I will assure you THEY WILL NOT hesitate on removing money out of your bank account.

Took over an hour to see doctor after having xrays repeated a few times. Despite my insurance covering a basic and deep clean, doctor recommended a specific code of cleaning that insurance didnt cover. Western Dental refused to do a basic cleaning like I asked and only wanted to charge me $1,000 for a specific deep clean.This place wins no matter what. Even if we walk out, medi-cal still pays them for their exam fee and ridiculous amount of xrays they performed. This place is not trust worthy. I only left my regular dentist because I wanted to not pay for my teeth cleaning since Im on medi-cal. But i see now, id rather pay my regular trustworthy dentist then give companies like western dental a cent.

Its so difficult to find someone to trust to be in my mouth. They put a silver filling in and now my bite feels uneven and very uncomfortable. They tried to fix it but couldnt. I also spent over $300 for a cleaning that was very rough and rushed since there was only one dentist that day. I was there for 4 hours and still charged an insane amount of money on top of poor quality work done in my mouth. I am not happy.
