The Lodge is awesome! Everyone there is super friendly, you can tell that its well run, and that they enjoy their work and each other. It was my first time in, and Serge took a ton of time with the cut in order to get to know my hair, and it turned out great. Cant recommend enough, I will be back!

Let me start by saying I’ve had many barbers and stylists cut my hair- I’d say I’m detail oriented and particular. I came to see Brandon and showed him pics of what I was looking for and he nailed it: he listened to what I wanted and was genuinely interested in the pics I showed him and what I was looking to achieve. Nice, professional, and authentic. The shop is well designed and decorated. Traditional yet stylish. One of the best experiences I’ve had in a barber shop. I would 110% recommend.

I cannot say enough about the haircut I received from Marvin. I was going to a wedding and had a last minute cancellation with my regular. I called The Lodge on a whim last minute and they set me up with an appointment that day. I was a bit nervous, it being my first time in this shop, and my first time in Marvins chair, but immediately he began to ease my mind by first asking me what it was I wanted, and following up with question after question involving hair lengths on sides and top, taper and to skin edge how I was going to wear it to the wedding, and a promise to show me how to replicate the look once we were done... just solid inquiry that made me feel as though he was really wanting to give me the look I wanted and that he cared about his work. The hair cut was, of course, absolutely amazing. He was fun to talk to, hilarious, and didnt ask any overly personal questions which is always cool. lol So to sum up, the cut didnt take very long, the service was outstanding, and the result could not have been more on point. Thank you very much Marvin, you are truly a master of your craft!

Marvin is my go-to guy at this go-to place, The Lodge Barber Co. Always a cool vibe and atmosphere. You can chat it up with any of the friendly staff there if you want... or you can just chill and get a haircut without the conversation, if thats what you prefer.The price I feel is absolutely worth it. Ive been going here for a couple of years now and I dont plan on leaving any time soon. 35 bucks every couple of months for a perfect cut by Marv has been no trouble at all. The Lodge is always good vibes and very chill spot to get you haircut at. Super hip dudes and very welcoming. The place is nice clean and they are always playing some good music. I get my haircut from Constancio and what an amazing job he does. He takes his time and has very good conversation. Every barber at the shop seems like they know what they are doing and every customer walks out happy. It’s highly recommend that you book an appointment soon. You will not be disappointed. And if your new to the area the guys will guid you around to the new hot spots in town to eat or just to hang out.

I have received a haircut from each barber many times. They are all competent in their craft. It is a place where all ages are accommodated. It is a popular place and they are busy most of the time and you might have to wait. Well, they give great haircuts, worth the wait.

Four years ago I tried this place out when I was hunting for a good barbershop and to this day I still go there. Ive recommended numerous friends and they have switched over because of the great cuts and also the best atmosphere I could ask for! I usually get my haircut with my boy Marvin, but honestly you can go in and come out with a fresh cut from any of the barbers at the shop!

Was looking for a serious beard place after my last beard guy moved to Montana. Made an appointment with Constancio and was super impressed. This guy is a legit beard artist. Great attention to detail. Am going to him from now on.

The barber that cut my hair was angry...at everything. At first California for its laws, then the barber shop for its walk-in and scheduling policy, then the company that sharpens their blades, and finally about how he has no money and isnt getting enough customers. When I wasnt happy with how my sides looked and asked him to cut them shorter, his anger turned towards my preferences and he argued that i was making the wrong decision by wanting my hair shorter. He cut them shorter, but seemed to fume as he did it, making me really uncomfortable to be in his chair. I could not wait to get out of there. The rest of the barbers and the shop seemed upbeat and professional. Watch out for the guy in the back left chair.Edit: Im increasing my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars. The barber shop reached out to me with a genuine apology and an offer for a refund + free haircut. I dont want to ruin the entire shops reputation for the actions of one person who was possibly just having a really bad day. The conversation and attitudes coming from the other barbers all seemed in-line with a top quality barbershop.

I have been going here for almost 2 years now! Their service is the best. Really friendly staff. Their fades are clean and perfect. Also, the only place I could find that could handle and tame my curly beard and give it a proper shape.

This is great place to get a clean up and maintain a sharp cut. Constancio is the man! He did my hair, which was a mess and tidied it up into a nice manageable cut which takes little time to maintain and looks good after a long day.Unfortunately I dont live in Long Beach any more, so I cant go there as often as needed to keep it sharp.The location is Central to LB, and has a good punk/biker/metal feel to it as the soundtrack plays some of the stuff one wouldnt hear in a hair joint.Give it a shot!

I moved to Long Beach 7 months ago and still drove back to my old barber for my hair. I was referred over to Constancia art The Lodge by a friend of my wife, and I couldnt be happier with the result. This place is definitely worth it. Im from out of state and decided to stop in for a well needed beard trim since I was in the area. I was extremely pleased with the treatment and cost as they are VERY reasonably priced and knowledgeable. Definitely recommended.

A friend suggested this shop to me so I checked it out. I called on a Friday night at 4:00 pm and got in at 5:00pm. Constancio gave me a great haircut, and cleaned up my beard just the way I wanted it. This is the spot Ill be coming to now.

My usual barber was busy so figured Id try someplace new. $25 for a haircut is steep for me considering I generally can get a wash, shampoo, and cut with solid tip for under $20. Figured Id be paying more for professionalism or a fresher cut so I gave this place a shot. Haircut was only as great as my usual barber. Left the place with oddly untidy hair and (due to no wash) covered in little hairs. Had to run home to shower first before finishing any errands. This may seem trivial but for paying nearly $40 with tip for a first time cut, I expected FAR more. The staff was very nice though and even followed me to my car to ask why I didnt enjoy my experience. Id suggest this place only if you have money to blow on atmosphere.

Amazing work. The owner is extremely OCD when it comes to each haircut.. thats a great thing because you leave with a quality cut you actually will enjoy and get many compliments about. My only gripe is its by appointment only. youre lucky to get a walk in if you can.

If youre a dude in need of a trendy, professionaly done hair service then this is the place for you! I have curly hair so its hard to find a barber that can tame it. They all do a good job but Ask for Tyler if you can!

Tried it out for the first time since it’s closer to my new home, well I should of drove to the barbershop I usually go to, even if it’s further away from my new home, the fade was pretty weak, Did not look clean, not precise, no love put into the fade at all, sigh, I feel like I cheated on my original barber with such a downgrade 😓
