Scheduled for an appointment and was confirmed. An hour before it I got a text informing me they needed to reschedule me due to a double booking for that time. I was ok with it, you know mistakes happen, and asked if there was a later time available for the same day. Never heard back even when I texted again to ask to reschedule. Definitely won’t be trying to book again.

First time here and it was great! Beautiful interior, great staff, great COVID protocols! Loved my stylist and got a great haircut!

I absolutely love the den salon they are always super friendly and super talented. Ive been here a few times and Ive never left disappointed the environment is very relaxed and professional as well as welcoming and all of the stylist really know what theyre doing. Ive gone to Dennis three times now and I couldnt be happier every time also my mom had her hair cut by Christopher and she absolutely loved it as well as appreciated all the advice to keep her hair healthier.

Insensitive folks. I had a death in the family and rescheduled my appointment 24 hrs before scheduled time, DEN wanted to charge me $300 for canceling. I had gone to DEN for several years, not just me but my entire family. YES. It appears to be a friendly environment but I assure you, it is not. Needless to say, none of my family and friends will ever step foot in their establishment ever again. Steer clear of Meredith if u dont want to be laughed yet because she does poke fun at her customers with other customers.

Just went to The Den for the 1st time. Natasha did an excellent job. I went real short and it is perfect. Great atmosphere and very nice staff. I will recommend to all my friends and family.

I went to the den once because it was convenient. The first time I was charged for a short haircut, which makes sense because I do have short hair. The stylist did a decent job of cutting my hair according to the picture I brought in, so I scheduled a second appointment. Due to a family emergency and freeway traffic, I was late for my appointment, but I did communicate that to the salon. As soon as I walked in the door, I was reprimanded by the stylist for being late. I apologized profusely and explained the situation, but she continued to complain that I was late. I asked if she still had the picture that I had left the last time I was there, she said no. I had called after my last appointment and asked the scheduler to have the stylist keep the picture for when I returned. The stylist finished my haircut and pulled out pictures that another customer left, I told her that was me, she said, no, it was another customer that left the pictures and asked that I save the pictures for her. Oh well, I let that go. Then I go to pay and Im charged for a long haircut. I guess that was to punish me for being late? The appointment confirmation showed it was for a short haircut, and my hair was even shorter than when I went in for the first haircut. Needless to say I wont be back to this unethical place where they charge you incorrectly and treat customers rudely.Update: After I wrote the initial review for the Den Salon, I received a call from Judy, and what a delight she was. She apologized profusely for the experience I had and was truly gracious and kind! She asked if I would be willing to return to The Den and give them another chance. Although I was somewhat hesitant, I agreed. I do not regret agreeing to give The Den another chance. Dennis cut my hair and did a fantastic job! He was professional, listened to my needs and wants, and constantly checked in with me to make sure I was happy with what he was doing. Each time Ive been at The Den, I was offered beer, wine, coffee, or tea - this time I was offered the same, as well as popcorn or pretzels. Seriously, what hair salon offers such goodies and treats their customers so well? None that I know of. I now would highly recommend The Den to anyone!

Amazing, talented, friendly people work here! They welcome you in like family. All of the staff acknowledge you! As soon as you walk in you are greeted and offered beer, wine, tea, coffee or water. Very friendly, inviting atmosphere. I recommend this salon to everyone!

Natasha was the best!!! I had a time frame I needed to stick too and she completed my hair cut in that time and didnt perfectly! She was so super friendly. My hair looks great and she gave me great advice to keep my hair healthy. If I wasnt going back to Canada Id go back to see her every time!

Fantastic salon. Loved the music and decor as much as the cut. Jenelle is meticulous, thorough and charming, and provided an enjoyable experience along with a first rate cut. Cleaned up my goatee, too.Also, beer. Seriously, they have beer. Ill be going to an after work appointment next time around to enjoy it.

Great experience. I was worried to go somewhere new. My hair is very course and thick, and I tend to go with very short pixie/ fade cuts. Dennis was great, very friendly, and did an amazing job. I recommend him! Ill definitely go back in the future.

I was looking for a trans friendly stylist and found Meredith at The Den Salon. I have been going to Meredith for almost a year now. I am very happy with her cut and styling to my thick, wavy and curly Puerto Rican hair! I recently came to her for a new style and Meredith exceeded expectations. Price is reasonable. I highly recommend Meredith and this salon.

OMG!! Chris is so amazing, he is super detailed not to mention super talented, he makes sure he understands all your concerns and does exactly what you ask for no problem. He is the only person my daughter will let do her crazy hair colors & cuts.

So my boyfriend usually goes in here, while I go to a different salon. But we have a huge trip to Seattle coming up and wanted our hairs to be done all pretty! My salon had no openings for me and so I made an appointment quickly and easily at The Den along with my boyfriend. I had Natasha and she was SO great! I loved her personality, and how much she loves her dogs (and Bowie!) She gave me a great transformative haircut and really listened to my concerns (I wanted something bold but feminine with NO maintenance) and took my concerns and made the most spectacular haircut out of it!! My boyfriend gets his hair cut by Jessie and loves her. Hes never found anyone he feels comfortable with cutting his hair, and now shes moving! So hes looking forward to getting his haircut by Natasha in the future now too.The person at the front of the office was also super cool. My boyfriend and I are totally dummys and misplaced our parking ticket and they spent so much time with us trying to find the card and calling whoever they could to come help. This was by farrr the best experience Ive ever had here at a hair salon in Long Beach, and as long as Im here for, I will always go to Natasha and The Den. Thank you so much!!

I went in and asked for a shag haircut. Twice. Two different stylists. Not inexpensive. Needless to say, neither one of them had the first clue how to cut a shag regardless of their insistence on knowing how. No more for me, thanks.
