My husband and I have gone to Leggetts since first moving to Long Beach almost 2 years ago. They are awesome! They are also very affordable, quick and the women in the office are fabulous! They are very proficient in knowing about your repairs and if something is in warranty or not (saving us money in that case!).Lastly, they are super honest. When they didnt have the right technicians to fix my Explorer (rats built a nest in my engine, destroyed the wiring and shorted the computer), they referred me to another reputable shop that specialized in this issue. They didnt pretend to be able to fix, they were honest, and I greatly appreciated that.I highly recommend Leggetts!

I came in to have a noise looked at. The staff was friendly and eager to help, however I did have a problem. I have an interlock device installed in my car and have to blow into said device when I start my car as well as at random times while the car is running or the key is in the ignition. When I brought the car in I thoroughly explained this to the tech. I told him I will blow to start the car.. enabling you to get it into the shop and ready to go on the lift. It is imperative that you turn the car off before lifting it to be looked at.Time passes and I come out to make sure my car is off. The engine is not running so I assume everything is fine.After the tech finished inspection of my vehicle, I got into my car to leave and discovered that the tech had turned the engine off but then turned the key forward so my battery was running continuously while inspecting my vehicle.I am now responsible for recalibration of my device and I am in debt to the company who makes the device.This is a 90$ mistake. I do understand it was a mistake. But Im still out $90 as a result of the Techs negligence.When I brought the situation to the attention of another tech he was sympathetic but offered no resolution.Over all Im just very disappointed about the experience and the fact that the money I could have put towards needed repairs is now going to an unnecessary fine which could have been avoided if I had been taken seriously by the tech responsible for my service.

I love this shop. Absolutely everyone is friendly. We can walk there from our house. I have literally had them call me to let me know my car is ready before I was able to get home (its a mile. 15 minutes max.). Their pricing is fair (as in within reason), its never more than they tell you before they begin work on it and its ready when they say. Even with repair work, weve never had a vehicle not finished in a day. Be there early, this place is busy for a reason. Oh wait. Dont go early. 🚗👍

Havent had services here yet, but they are nice enough to add air to your tires you they need it, free of charge. As far as asking questions the staff members are great about relaying information as needed.

Fantastic service. I found the pricing to be in line or less than other comparable shops. Inquired about the parts and found out they warranty all they sell except used ones. Have had sever jobs performed and was completely satisfied. The staff especially the girls inside were extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. I have no problem recommending them.

Ive taken 3 vehicles in to be repaired and was pleased with the quality of work for all of them. The staff were helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable.

Much much more than tires or just oil changes... they have actual mechanics on site that can handle just about every make and model and issue with your automobile. I was pleased to see that for a smaller family business they use such technical gear for diagnostics and then follow up with well trained mechanics to solve issues. The have enough bays and crew to handle more than a few jobs at once and they work pretty quickly. They notice all the little things and suggest fixes as preventative measures. The ladies that work behind the desk are helpful and friendly and the shop guys are hilarious. I take all my car and trailer and golf cart issues here and am always pleased with the service and price. Oh, and they will source you just about any tire you can imagine (sometimes same day) and even sell used tires! Very happy to have a wonderful local business like this one here in Long Beach. Try them out!

In response to Mr. Jacob Goodyear.. I dont know what you drive, but I own a Chevrolet 1500 truck and had the same problem. The dipstick breaking is a very common problem with this type of vehicle. I assure you these are good people and would never purposely break anything. Ive used them for over 10 years and would recommend them to anyone!

Usually they do good work but I took my truck in for the ABS module that they diagnosed as bad and they couldnt program so I had to take it to another mechanic and it still didnt fix the problem. They also quoted me $1400! They said they could only get the part from the dealer. AutoZone had it for $200. Leggetts charged me $85 to put it in. Hows that $1400??

Traveling through and awoke with flat tire on our 5th wheel. Pulled into Leggetts around 8:30 on a Monday morning. Were quickly and efficiently steered to back where tire was examined. Nothing found, but technician believed was faulty air valve stem. Replaced and on our way in 30 minutes. Great service and would recommend to everyone.

My experience with Leggetts Firestone has always been satisfying. From the time you walk in the staff, both inside & in the bays, are very knowledgeable and helpful. Ive dealt with them for years professionally & with my own (and familys) vehicles. Everything was done in correctly & in a time frame that was more than reasonable.

This is the closest shop to me that does alignments. When I called I was told $69.99, when I got there the lady at the desk said the same price. I told her if I could get it checked & she said for $29.99 theyll check & if I needed my alignment fixed, they will deduct that $30 from the $69.99 so Im looking at about $40 after. I agree, it sounded fair. After it got checked, all a sudden she raises the price to $90 & said in her exact words forget about that $30 deductible, if u want it itll be an extra $89.99. I asked her about that $30 deductible & how did it jump from $69.99 to $89.99? And she wouldnt answer me, just kept saying no they wont deduct that $30 I paid to get it checked when the reason why I agree was because it was gonna be deducted. So I had no choice but to pay that $30 & I walked out not getting it fixed because she lied to my face about the pricing. Thats not fair to me, you guys lied and thats $$ out my pockets. I wont recommend to anyone unless you like being played out your pockets. horrible people.

These guys are great! I have been to many shops on the coast, and it is tough to find one you can trust. The mechanic, Chris, has been able to troubleshoot issues on every one of my vehicles for the past two years that I have been bringing my vehicles there. It really makes me proud to pay a little extra to ensure that I can get to where I need to go. I have gone to the cheapest shop before, but I always needed to go back for the same issue. These guys do it right every time! I know my wife and kids will never be stranded as long as Leggets is in business.

They we friendly and did a good job. However they are an independent and I was told thats why they dont ever have the same specials like buy 3 get 1 free as the corp Firestone does on Hwy 49 near tracks. When I priced tires there compared to 49 location they were higher.

I am very disappointed in this place after spending over $1,000 on my vehicle here. Along with getting my front end on my pickup truck serviced I decided to have them change out my oil tube for my dip stick. ( my old mounting bracket was broke ) I already had the new tube and decided to just have them replace it. The mechanic broke the new tube off in my oil pan and lost my dip stick. I was never told about this weeks ago when I had the work done. Went to check my oil today and the nightmare began. After visiting the shop again today to get a price on replacing the tube again I was told it would be over $300! The original price was $25 last time. Well now it’s a more labor intensive job since the mechanic broke the oil tube off in my oil pan. All I wanted was the original job done right. Not to pay for more parts and service because of careless mechanics.The shop should pay for this repair. I don’t recommend going here. If you have to, check over the work before you leave!

Honest family owned shop that will always fix your vehicle correctly and treat you right!

It looks as though my original post has disappeared so I am reposting.On 6-20-18 my son was looking to purchase a 2003 Dodge 1500 4WD from one of our local used car lots. I advised him to take it to Leggetts to have them look it over. After looking the truck over for an hour, they charged him $100 to flash the computer and top off some fluids. They advised one of the ABS sensors was bad and there were a few small leaks but other than that, the truck checked out good. My son negotiated the price down so that he would be able to pay them to replace ABS.On 6-21-18, my son pulled the vehicle into the shop at my house in order to lube a squeaky chassis. Within 5 min of climbing underneath, we discovered that one of the 4WD axles was snapped off and missing. We also noticed that the outer tie-rods were so worn, that the grease boot was torn and the joint was dry as a bone and that was the cause of the squeak.The morning of 6-22-18 I accompanied my son back to Leggetts to find out why such glaring things were missed by the mechanic. The owner had one of her mechanics put the truck up on a rack and recheck. This mechanic had the vehicle for about 10 minutes and relayed the following to the owner; Inner and outer tie rods were shot, Upper and lower ball joints on one side were shot, and the front differential would need to be replaced in order to replace the missing axle. The owner had no reason why this wasnt caught on the initial survey but was quick to say that she had good mechanics and they just missed it. She was quick to state that she wasnt going to fire the mechanic (I never even mentioned firing anyone). She added up parts and labor and presented my son an estimate for $2,500. She stated she would sell him parts at her prices and quoted 15 hrs of labor for the whole job and stated that she would knock $20 an hour off labor. I about lost my cool but there were customers listening and I was trying to be a good example for my son. The owner talked about this being a life lesson to my son and some old geezer chimed in that this was the best mechanic shop in Long Beach.I expected more out of a shop that has been in business as long as they have. I certainly expected more than knocking 20 dollars an hour off of labor. If they would have found this damage on the initial survey, my son would have returned the truck to the dealer and walked away from the deal. Instead, he is stuck with having to deal with this. I will say this. The car dealership is working with us. They are buying all of the suspension parts and I will end up doing the work myself.Im not sure why the mechanic missed this at Leggetts. When my son asked him, all he could say was sorry bro. Im not saying anything was done maliciously but I have to wonder if they didnt see this young kid come in and saw the potential for future work because the kid wouldnt catch all of this in a timely fashion. It frustrates me as a dad because my son did what he was supposed to do by spending his money to get the thing checked out and he still ended up getting screwed over.

I have been taking all of my vehicles to this location for 10 years now. I made a mistake and took my 2010 truck to a different repair shop and they had me all messed up. The men behind the counter treated me as if I was the typical stereotype female who was uneducated in the area of mechanics. They were rude, short answered, and treated me like they didnt need my dollar. At Leggets, the two females behind the counter understands that I may be uneducated in mechanics, however, listen to my problems and actually explained different reasons for the way my vehicle was performing. Never once did I feel dumb, inadequate, or if my car was just another ticket. I sat back and watched these ladies and the mechanics interact with every single person, male, female, young, or old in the exact same friendly-weve-known-them-all-our-life manner. That means a lot to me as well as everyone else I am sure. Now when I return, they call me by my first name and we are almost like family. I truly dont mind when my vehicle breaks down because I return to Leggets Firestone in Long Beach and know I will be taken care of. As I learned this is a family owned business, even the founder, Mr. Danny Leggett himself, still comes in daily to greet customers and is very excited to help in any way that he can. This business is above the rest in my opinion.
