First, I received his time coming for service.Right on time, he called me. Unfortunately, I was busy with other call, I ignored his call.He call me back, with no answer he call my other number. Then he text me to let me no he is in front of my house.After many try, he send me the email of sorry missing me, and advice me to reschedule.When I found out, I try to contact him with no hope, because I knew that he must move on for his schedule.10 minutes later he call me back and tell me if I am OK to let him back to do the missing service.He is so friendly, not blame me any but always said he understood sometime some unusual thing might happen and go for his work.What a good professional work that he does his job and explained me and instructed me and tested and cleaned up, and keep not to be hurry leaving but make sure I was satisfy with the job.He is a wonderful and he was humble to say that is the spirit of his service team.I appreciate his work and have strong perception in his company.I would recommend this service company to everyone.

1st let me say the job was done right. My refrigerator is working great now, my gripe is with the time involved. When I first called sears, they gave me an appointment for a week later. (that was two days later after we found out by a salesman at home depot that the compressor has a 10 year warranty) (we first had a independent teck tell us that it was the compressor) The technician from Sears came and checked out my refrigerator. He concurred that it was in fact the compressor. After checking the board to see if its compatible with the new universal compressor(the manufacturer does not give you another original compressor) and other things, the tech said now I had to make another appointment for the installer to come and install the compressor. That took another week. Heres the kicker. The installer told us that the first tech who came could have installed the new compressor, that he should have had everything he needed right in his van, including the new compressor. Instead I had to wait for the new compressor and other unnessory parts to be mailed to me. Shame on you sears.

Great job, I had a warranty & used it at the last minute. I day before it expired. Refrigerator’s motherboard & compressor went out. Waited 3 weeks, but we were able to bet everything completed. Customer service needs more help.

Repairman called to let me know that he is running a little late but did a good job of replacing the rollers in the dryer. He did a fast job of checking the rest of the dryer parts by lubricating the rest of the rollers, vacuum the dirt inside, and putting it together. Cleaned the work area. Done in less than 30 minutes. Great job and friendly person too!

*AVOID SEARS HOME SERVICES*If I could give them a negative review I would.Purchased a Kenmore Elite Refrigerator a almost 2 years ago from Sears and fridge started giving cooling issues. Contacted Sears Home services about the issue.It’s been 5 visits that these so called techs have done already and they still can’t resolve this issue. My fridge at the point is not cooling at all. I practically got sold a lemon.I don’t know if I’m going to have to take this into legal matters. Or just have to end up paying my neighborhood appliance technician to come over and have this fixed.My recommendation is that you’re better off buying appliances from Home Depot than to deal with Sears Terrible service

My husband asked specifically to repair a whirlpool oven and the washing machine. The guy pushed some buttons on the last one for diagnostic and said that was it and I can not do it by myself, I was charged immediately $145 dollars in the middle of his visit. Then, for the microwave, he was not prepared with the part, he didnt no how to operate the oven, he didnt understand either after I showed him, he said he wanted to take off the oven check inside and he was going to charge at least, $250 dollars to disassembled it and with no repair done, just for the sake of seeing the inside. Nothing was done. I later talked to a Whirlpool service center, and I need 2 parts; one of $11 and another of $18 and they told me I can do it myself easily. You are just charging for nothing. worst, it says that I cancelled a service which I never did. In this times I think this behavior is totally abusive. Sad.

Technician arrived and I explained what the problem was with my LG dryer. The dryer wouldnt turn off and was giving me a message that the lint filter was blocked.I had unplugged the dryer, because it wouldnt stop running at the end of the cycle, two days before the technician showed up at my house.The technician plugged the dryer in and BINGO it was working. I asked him if maybe by unplugging it it reset and now it was working. He said no.It took him 15 minutes to realize that there was no longer a problem with the dryer. He then told me that my charge was $149.00. He noted on my receipt that he cleaned the lint filter. He DID NOT. It was clean and lint free when he showed up. I asked him what the $49.00 charge was for and he stated that it could have been very much more if he had to replace any parts. Nice explanation.Its bad enough paying $100.00 for the service charge, but the $49.00 for nothing is beyond belief. This never would have happened if the service call was requested by a male.To add insult to injury, the same problem with the dryer occurred the following day. Would I use, or refer, Sears Appliance Repair again? The answer is NO!

Service Technician was great. I had no problems with him. He was thorough and explained everything carefully.I have a problem with the phone rep who present this service to me. They quoted $50. I asked if the price for CLEANING and REPAIRING was really $50 and the individual assured me it was $50. Then I get emails saying its actually $99. I called twice to find out what the price was and requested a correction be sent to me. I never received a text or email with the correct amount of $50. Technician came and he is going from his records and asking for $99.He finally called his supervisor. Again, the technician was the best. It is the individual that made the original presentation. Stove was not cleaned, but repairs were done.Refrigerator technician as well as stove technician were GREAT !!!!

This is the biggest scam ever they push there appliance insurance on loyal customers and when ever you try to book an appointment they give you the run around. Customer service reps are horrible and don’t understand the urgencies of a customer they just direct you to a number that puts you on hold for hours DO NOT RE PURCHASE INSURANCE!!

Be aware of the warranty PUSH! IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!! I am grateful to have my brother and husband there to further explain the fraud of the so called warranty extension that was offered. The tech came out and stated that parts for my cook top are no longer offered and that my appliance is pretty much junk. So $89 for them to come out and tell me that my appliance I bought from Sears 10 years ago is obsolete, which should have been told me to over the phone prior to the appointment and for them to have someone to try and talk me into purchasing a warranty to cover ALL MY OTHER appliances! Really? I called you out to fix the cook top that you called junk not sell me a warranty for my other appliances that are working fine. Dont fall for their game!

I grew up on Sears appliances and since marrying 30+ years ago, Kenmore was always our go to. In fact, right now I have a Kenmore dishwasher, washer, dryer and refrigerator. The dryer we bought over 30 years ago is still working. However, more recently the products have suffered. My washer, which is a Kenmore elite and only 5 years old, is rusting and has issues where it will take 2 hours to finish washing. It is a top loader with no agitator in the middle. My dryer is the same age and has had to be repaired twice in the past 5 years. But the biggest disappointment by far is the Kenmore elite refrigerator we purchased in 2014. In that time, the fan has been replaced twice, the ice maker quit working and needed replacing and most recently, the compressor went out. Fortunately we have an extended warranty. But even after paying over $700 for a 5 year warranty, each time, we have had to wait an average of 1 week for repair. The ice maker was not a big deal, but the other 3 times we lost an entire refrigerator/freezer full of food. It is a large capacity French door refrigerator. My husband and I agree that we are not buying anymore warranty when this one runs out. It is evident that Sears no longer is synonymous with quality products. We have always had excellent repair men come to the house, but getting someone to repair the product in a timely manner has never been in the cards. The last time when I mentioned that this should be an emergent call, I was told that one week was considered emergent. I have put in a request for lost food so we will see if they honor that. That’s something else I object too. When you go to the website to file a claim, they give you 35 spaces to enter food loss, I have a large capacity refrigerator. I lost over $300 worth of food, but website wouldn’t let me enter anymore after the 35th space. It stopped calculating at $219 and change. I am no longer a fan of any Kenmore product.

Dave was the best plumber I have met in my entire life. He was honest, efficient, and thorough. He gave me the price up front and even had the main part to my 11 year old water heater in his van. He fixed it on my first appointment and the I am confident that my water heater will operate great for another 10 + years.

Our 3-yr old Kenmore washing machine displayed a fan pattern of what looked like oil on the concrete floor below. Called on Thursday, and made an appointment for 8-12noon on Monday. Received a reminder call on Sunday. Technician arrived at 8:15am and he was great! Made sure the surrounding area was protected and was very knowledgeable - almost 25 years with Sears repair and loves what he does. It was mud on the floor, the bearing was replaced and the machine is so quiet now during the spin cycle - very pleased with the service.

I wouldnt even give you a single star for the service I received from A+ Appliance which Sears sent to repair my washer. My maintenance contract is with SEARS - NOT A+ Appliance. I have been without a washer since 3/6/18. I was told by A+ (March 9, 2018) that they needed to order parts which would take 1 week. That turned into over two weeks. I then had to make an appointment for service once the parts arrived. A+ Appliance finally came out on April 5 with the needed parts, they said my washer needed to be moved out of my laundry room which is inside my house to give them more space to do the repair. They moved it to my garage, scratching up the front of my washer and scratching and denting my door frame in the process! Almost 3 hrs. later they moved it back into my house. It leaked. After more pounding, they said it was fixed. They ran it approx 3 min and said it was good to go. Once they left I started my first load of laundry in over a month. Loud noises, sounds of bolts dropping, and then the flooded floor! I called Sears only to have them want to contact A+ Appliance to schedule another appointment. No way would I ever allow this company in my house again. I strongly suggest Sears check reviews before you ever use A+ Appliance again! I insisted that Sears send a competent SEARS repairman. Finally, Jose, from Sears came out on April 13, 2018. He knew immediately what was wrong just by spinning the drum. He had to order parts to fix what A+ damaged by installing the parts incorrectly. Parts arrived 4/18/18, Jose came out again to complete the repair and I finally have a working washer. Thank God for Jose as he went over and above to make right where Sears had failed us! He was very knowledgeable and didnt need to move my washer to the garage to complete the repair. I have been a very loyal customer of Sears for over 39 years as my parents have been before me. I have never been so disappointed as it should have never taken 44 days to get my washer repaired.

Avoid them! I was given an appointment time frame between 1-5pm. Their tech didn’t arrive till 8:22 pm. Didn’t bother to ring the doorbell. Just left a note, took a picture of my home, and left. I called him when I saw the notice at 8:45 and he didn’t answer. I then looked at my cameras, and sure enough he just got off and posted the note. I understand that it was a long day for him, but I waited 3 weeks just to get a reschedule notice. When I called to notify sears they told me I had to wait another 2 weeks before they can send someone out.

The technician that came to service my refrigerator was kind and respectful. He pulled the refrigerator out from the wall and did a complete check within the inside. He reset the temperature at the right level after completing a thorough check up. The refrigerator was placed back in its proper place..I was totally satisfied. My gripe with the Sears appliance insurance program is that there are too few repairmen to service the number of insurance contracts. Hence, the waiting time for an insured visit from a repairman is from one to several weeks. When a repairman ascertains that a part is needed, the part must be order, which takes another week to ten days or so, and another repair visit must be scheduled. Some repairmen are less knowledgeable than others, and at least one bad apple curries favor with the company by selling policies, but doesnt like to work. So sometimes he no-shows, or else leaves a note on the door saying you didnt answer when he knocked. Either way, you have to reschedule and get back on the waiting list. By contrast, other guys are diligent and hard-working and some really know their stuff! One of the hard workers couldnt find the source of a gosh-awful racket from our clothes dryer, and ordered a new idler. The repairman who came to install the idler heard the machine and immediately said, Ah! I know what that is! A fabric-softening dryer sheet had become stuck under the lip of the drum, was causing the noise.It was also interfering with the wetness sensor, causing the heat to shut of before the clothes were dry. A GOLD STAR for THIS repairman, and a lump of coal for the lazy bum who sometimes no-shows and other times leaves a note saying you didnt answer the door!

Weve used Sears Repair for many repairs over the years. So easy--you can book on line. Efficient--not only do they give you a window, but you can get e-alerts and the technician calls when hes on the way. Competent--technician knows what hes doing and came with the appropriate part. Pressure--tried to sell us warranty, but took no thank you for my answer. Price--$99 to come out which I understand. You get what you pay for--excellent service.

He was respectful, neat, courteous, and took great pride in his work. A quality that not a lot of employees have now a days. They make it very simple to maintain my appliances and when I need a repair they are usually very quick to send a repair person. Every repair and maintenance person has been great so far. We have had it with Sears repair! You buy the insurance so you may have peace of mind should your machine fail. When you call for your appointment and they give you the next available and it is 2 weeks from now, does not cu it. Why dont you just take our money and then tell us to get lost! I can go to the yellow pages and have a tech on the same day.When the first tech came he proceeded to tell my wife that she didnt know what she was taking about and was not washing correctly. She has been doing laundry longer than that tech was old. The first time she said the pump was gone, he said no it is fine. We have been sitting and waiting for almost 2 weeks now with water in the machine. We have a disabled in the home that could really use the machine. During this time we got a call from Sears repair to renew our insurance for almost $250 for 1 year, we said you have to be kidding! SEARS GOT THEIR LAST PENNY FROM US!!!WE ARE DONE!!!!! We will go were they care about us instead of the dollar.

I was very pleased with the Service from the scheduling to the completion. The service performed was the troubleshooting of an error message on my Sole F80 treadmill--resulting in the replacement of the walking/running belt.I would have rated the experience 5 stars except for the fact the price of the Belt. The price was $500+ .... over 150% higher than one found online from a reputable Treadmill and Treadmill Parts retailer.

Technician was fine, but apparently he did not have a washer hose on his truck, nor was it in stock. I was shocked that Sears did not have a washer hose in stock and had to be ordered. The technician taped the broken hose so it could be used until the part came in and he was able to come back and install it. He was polite and did a good job. Seems to me that Sears should carry parts for their appliances on site.

Sears repair was suppose to be at my house between the hours of 8am to 12 noon, the only problem I have is that if the repair person cannot make it within the time frame the customer should be notified. I did receive service at a later time but Leo was pleasant and serviced my washer and dryer.. Thank You Leo!

I WANTED TO GIVE 0 STARS...Sears has demonstrated to me why they have shrunk in size and are eventually going out of business. Theyre customer service and warranty used to be among the best. I WILL NEVER purchase so much as a screw driver ever again from this company. The warranty program is a joke and so is the customer loyalty and service. I purchased 2 Kenmore refrigerators less than a year ago, and the freezer on one of them started to go out within the first 2 months. I only found out at they have a special clause in the warranty that your product has to be defective up to 4 times before they replace it with a new product. TO BE FAIR I CAN UNDERSTAND TWICE. Theyre customer service is trained not to let you speak to anyone in a management role, or anyone who can make a rational decision in a case by case basis! SEARS PRODUCTS HAVE TO FAIL YOU UP TO 4 TIMES BEFORE YOU CAN GET A BRAND NEW REPLACMENT. The technician keeps getting sent out to repair the defective refrigerator wasting labor hours, parts and time. Meanwhile HUNDREDS of dollars worth of food spoils which they dont compensate you for. I only wrote this review to vent, because no one at sears IS LISTENING or cares about customer loyalty or standing behind the product anymore. It was my Great Grand parents store and that was the last time sears was a good company. BEST BUY IS A MUCH BETTER CHOICE!!

Dont use this service... Sears cant be trusted and their customer service folks on the phone are rude, condescending, lack empathy, and are unable to resolve anything because they contract the repairs out to other firms. They claim that they will be here in a 4 hr window you choose and actually narrow down that period the day of service. This is not to be believed or trusted! My appointment window was 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. At 1:15 pm I got a text saying the tech was enroute and it allows you to see where your tech is located and track their progress. My tech was at that point a good hour drive away. I checked back 20 minutes later and found the site to show the tech not moving and my repair window moved out another 3 hours to 5 pm! I called Sears and they said there was nothing they could do for me and they could not contact the tech since it was not their employee....they basically did not care. So I wasted an entire day and will never use them again. For those of you security conscious...Beware too that the drivers uniform and van when it reaches you says nothing about Sears and has a completely different company name on it. Ill use a local repair company in the future which can be trusted and has customer service that can be helpful.

Had 6 calls for same problem with ice maker.replaced gasket hardtop wait a month for part yo come in .that wasnt the problem.freezer continues to ice up and can hardly open door.had appt 8 to 12 yesterday technician called at 135 and said he had to order a defroster and some other part.he never came to check the freezer.i had to tell him the last technician said if that didnt work. The ice maker needed replacement..also had previous appt 8 to 12 .technician never showed or called .I called at 5 and was told my appt was cancelled.no call or no explanation.i have been a Sears customer for 55 years.thd worst service ever on this appliance 2 to 3weeks before parts come in the mail and still dont know if this fixes the problem.unacceptable!

I rarely respond to surveys, however I have to share my last experience with Sears repair service. I have received unacceptable service more than once from one of their techs. Then they sent Tho to service my dishwasher some time ago., it was such a productive, positive experience then that I requested him again when my dishwasher needed help. I was on the phone answering various questions about my refrigerator and doing various tasks they asked me to do (unplug it, turn down the thermostat, etc) and they would not even schedule an appointment until I jumped through their hoops,. I finally got an appointment scheduled for a date in almost two weeks. Yes, they sent an email reminder, and a text and a phone call telling us when they were scheduled. The day of the appointment, the time came and went with no repairman showing up or a call. I called and they didnt even apologize for not showing up. They started by asking what day can I have them reschedule. When I demanded they come out the same day, they gave me a later time window, and the repairman just barely made it in that time frame. He replaced my ice maker. However, my problem was not fixed. And I never got a receipt! The technician said it would come in the mail with a part we ordered (water filter). Granted, we received the part within a few days, but no receipt. And within a week the new ice maker stopped working correctly. I called again and they gave me an appointment in another week.(next week). I will wait and see if it is repaired/replaced correctly this time. Sears Appliance Repair is not very customer friendly or care about the customer service. If it were not for the warranty I have for my refrigerator, I would call another repair service.

The Sears repair man was exceptional. He was on time and communicated well in advance of his visit. He was professional and courteous - very nice.My main complain is with Sears (not the repairman himself). The trouble turned out to be an electrical problem not an appliance problem. The repairman tried to not charge for the visit, but Sears would have none of it, and still charged me $99 for him to come out -- again, he was great - but I guess this is one of the many reasons people dont shop at Sears anymore. Next time, Ill use my local neighborhood repair guy

I wouldnt give Sears or their Techs even one star but cant post with out giving one star. I have been trying to get the ice maker fixed for 3 months. Still no ice. All the techs do is replace the ice maker. You would think after changing the ice maker 4 times and one switch the issue would be resolved. One very disappointed and frustrated customer!! One use to be able to rely on Sears for their products but doesnt seem to be that way any more.

We had to wait 30 days to get the problem assessed and have the part ordered. Then we were to wait another 30 days to have the part replaced. We couldnt wait another 30 days without a refrigerator so we hired someone else to replace the new part. And the refrigerator works great now.

Good except for continually pushing to take their repair warranty for the dryer which was $40. per month. A year of that and I could buy a new one. They wouldnt take no for an answer, just kept pushing for it. Then quoted a $300. repair fee to fix the timer. I think to to make me consider the warranty. I refused and said I wouldnt pay $300. to fix a $400. machine. Miraculously, it turned out the breaker had blown and there was nothing wrong with the machine. Paid my $79. service fee and got him the heck out. Stupid of me not to check the breaker first, but now distrust Sears repair.

My dryer was repaired on MONDAY, MARCH 9, 2020, because I had other appointments on March 6. I had called for a repair since February 28 and the dates continued to be cancelled--but not by me.Finally I was connected to A Plus Appliance Service & Repair, Inc. and a repair date set for Monday, 9, 2020, between 8 and noon. CARIK, arrived on time and repaired my dryer. I give him an A+ for doing a great job on my dryer plus cleaning up the work area.If either my dryer or washer need repair in the future, I certainly hope the repair person comes from A Plus Appliance and Repair.

My mother and all the generation who taught us that SEARS is the one and only to count on. They are just rolling over in their graves shaking their heads. It took 2 weeks to get an appointment, the repair man did not fix the problem, but was trying real hard to sell INSURANCE FOR ALL APPLIANCES. I end up calling them out again to fix the issue. I have to wait another 2 weeks, plus the customer service appointment desk was rude and frustrating, horrible customer service, horrible repair. SMH

All appointments were kept as scheduled. The Technicians were clean, polite, and courteous. The terms and conditions of the repair were explained thoroughly. The problem was diagnosed quickly. Unfortunately the part was not available on the Technicians truck and had to be ordered. The part was placed on order for delivery to my home and arrived in the promised time. A new appointment date was made for the installation and this was done in the as promised time. The only negative was in the on-line interview. I supplied all the requested information; the problem, the appliance make and model. When the technician arrived he confirmed the information and then told me he did dot have the replacement part. Why gather the information if you are not going to use it? I could have had my problem solved the same day but it took an addition four days to get the part and another trip to my house on a Saturday to complete the job. The wait to complete was a minor inconvenience thank goodness. Taking two trips to fix a problem that really only required one is not efficient. Having to schedule a Saturday appointment to finish the job, or wait even longer was an irritation. The price was fair. I was not charged for a second repair call. The part was shipped to my house, no charge. Both technicians accomplished their portion of the repair quickly and there were no clean up issues. Whether or not I will use them again will depend on how quickly I need to get the problem fixed. What could have been a great experience turned out to be just so-so.

WOW!! It hasnt been a good experience. There has been 4 techs out here and they all say something different with NO resolution. The LG freezer isnt freezing, the refrigerator isnt holding its own, the ice maker has made ice in over 2 months. Part after part has been ordered. So Monday August 22 another tech is scheduled. Why wont SEARS just replace refrigerator, WE HAVE INSURANCE, OR JUST GIVE A CREDIT TOWARDS ANOTHER REFRIGERATOR? My goodness 😐

From the customer service on the phone to the service in our home it was professional and friendly. A message reminded us each day that Sears was coming with instructions in case there was a change. The service representative showed us each step how he would repair the dryer. Awesome! We will definitely call Sears for all of our appliances.

I have used Sears Home Maintenance for 51 years! Since April 2018 their services are the worst you can imagine. Four months my Dryer and Kenmore refrigerator appliances have not worked! They have sent about 14 tech repair guys total who order parts but dont fix the problems! I wont renew service contract with Sears!

My refrigerator start defrosting on 10/27/17. I received and appointment for 10/02/17. I was told the motor went out on my 3 year old Smart fridge and needed to order parts. The parts came the same week, but my appointment wasn’t until 10/19/17 to fix it. My fridge was suppose to be fixed and need about 24 hours to start cooling. I was so excited to have my fridge back I went to the grocery store on the 10/20/17 and spent $160 on groceries to wake up to lukewarm and defrosting food!!!!! I called just to get another appointment on 10/25/17. In the past 30 years dealing with Sears I have never been so disappointed by them. I will NEVER purchase any appliances from them again! They have changed a lot and NOT for the GOOD!!!!!!

After several prior and frustrating attempts to get my very expensive Maytag washer to work properly, Kims technical know-how finally made it happen. Ive always found it wise to pay for the extended warranty on an appliance and this proved to be well-founded. Before, Kim, several technicians came, fooled, around, adjusted this and that (some even made adjustments that were, frankly, worthless), and the washer quickly returned to its loud, banging, moving-around-the-floor, shaking the house condition. Its been over a week now after Kims repair and I am very pleased to say...so far, so wonderful. Thank You, Kim!

Also, two days later, the burner he fixed will not light without a match and it will take then 3 more weeks to come back. Grrr. Wont use them again.

The scheduling was easy and there were several reminders as the appointment neared. The allotted time was to be between 1 and 5 pm but the technician called at 10 minutes to 5 p.m. to say he would not arrive until 5:30. He was very pleasant and his appearance was professional. He knew his job and got right to work. He was in and out within a half hour. My mail problem is the cost of the service was rather high. If I had a automobile worked on the cost of the diagnostics would be applied to the repair, but not Sears. Too bad, because they dont offer a senior discount for goods or services, either. Too high for most senior citizens to afford.

Technician from initial appointment diagnosed issue correctly which was the control board on my Kenmore washer. Part was shipped to my house and Technician arrived two days later and installed within 15 minutes. I had a little bit of a challenge trying to set my service appointment, but that was more my internet/confusion over the website. I have to say it was frustrating speaking on the phone with someone who really didnt understand English and what I was trying to ask for assistance with though. But when I finally got it straightened out the service tech. arrived within the window advised, handled it professionally and efficiently. He even took the time to explain to me what was wrong and gave me the broken part. By coincidence a close friend had problems with her washer but couldnt wait for 3 days until Sears could get to her so she called another company. The tech. for that other company arrived slovenly, asked for assistance most of the time, could not communicate in a clear manner, used her items to repair, then stood on her antique chair without asking to reach the back (after breaking her stool). 1 week later her washer still isnt fixed and the company is charging them a fortune. She really, really regrets not using Sears. The service itself that I received was outstanding so I am quite thankful for Sears Home Services.
