Once again Abbott Party Rental provided outstanding service. We hosted a wedding in our back yard for 100 people. Bob and his team performed flawlessly. Massive tents were setup days before the event. All of the tables, linens, china, etc. were spotless (and sealed in plastic for sanitary reasons). Pickup and tear down was effortless.Bob and his team are professionals to the core and know how to make large events stress free.

We used Abbott Party Rental for our outside baby shower. The company was so professional and friendly and made my shower a dream come true. We rented a heated tent, chairs, tables and linens, coolers, beverage dispensers, and a sound system. The day went so smoothly and the guest couldn’t get over how beautiful it was. It was an amazing experience to work with Abbott Party Rental, and I will definitely be using them for every event in the future.

They were helpful with what tent to use for our very small wedding and how to heat it during the fall months. They were also very flexible and accommodating to our needs. I will definitely be using them again in the future!

Bob and Abbott Party Rentals made our 70th Surprise party go off with out a hitch, not only did BOB help with the Social Distancing aspect (knowing what size tent, how many tables/chairs) but also setup. The crew that setup was very professional and organized, would definitely use Abbott in the future.

We rented a tent, chairs and a bar from Abbott Party Rental on 8/8/20. The men that put up the tent did a great job. It almost didnt fit in the yard because we have a large tree but they figured it out. The bar that we rented was EXTREMELY DIRTY and had spider webs and spiders all over it. How can they rent a bar out to customers that is filthy? I wish I would have taken pictures to post but I didnt think of it until I had already cleaned the bar.

Good place for party rental supplies. They have a lot of different items to choose from. Prices are fair and have a online selection to choose from. I have been using them for years and have not had any problems with the products from cotton candy machines to tables and chairs. Also like that I can just come in on a Friday or Saturday and pick up 4 tables and 40-50 chairs without a reservation. If you have a truck or van you can pick up at shop and drop off. They will load and unload for you too. They do also offer delivery.

Highly recommended! Val and Bob are very professional and simply a dream to work with - they took the guess work out of several challenges we faced during the planning of a corporate event for over 3000 employee’s (need for several large tents). They are very skilled and their expertise resulted with us having a very successful event!

There was a bit of miscommunication on the front end in terms of what we would actually need for the tent walls and the delivery time of the tent; however the gentlemen who came to set up the tent were amazing, they worked super hard to get it up quickly. The tent we rented exceed our expectations, it rained so hard on our wedding day and no water came through, it was perfect! We would use them again and will highly recommend them also.

I rented chairs and tables for a baptism party. When I went to return them and pulled in I was waved to the side of the building by a warehouseman. I asked if I needed to check in he said no, I was good to go. About a month or so later I get a giant charge on my credit card. Went around and around with them but to no avail. BOB is shady, I do not recommend this place but, if you DO decide to rent here I HIGHLY recommend covering your bases. Do not sign ANYTHING thats blank, and make sure to document your return. WORST PLACE EVER!

We recently had a great experience with Abbott. Had one week to plan a BBQ for 300 people. Called several companies including Abbott. Talked with Bob and he was the only one to go over different options for tent size, options for weights and ways to save money. He was great about working around all our limitations, no staking into the ground, needed insurance coverage, had a pretty small window of delivery/pick up etc. He was here when he said he would be and crew was very friendly and efficient. And in a corporate environment the thing that is always the most important, of the 5 companies I was working with, Abbot was by far the most reasonable.

I used Abbott party rental for a pool party. They provided tents, tables, chairs, and linens. They were absolutely fantastic!  The staffs were very patient and extremely courteous. I changed my order over and over again leading up to our party. I was all over the place in terms of number of attendees and went from 100 chairs to 50 chairs to 75 chairs! They provided me with a first class service at an affordable rate. My experience with abbot party rental was outstanding and I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for the most fabulous party around. I will continue to use them for all my future parties.

Such an amazing company, so thankful I found them. Wanted to make my sisters birthday the most special one shes had so far but had no idea where to start or where to get all the supplies and food and what not.. I recently held an engagement party. We were expecting 50 or so guests. We used my fiances party room in his condo building. We needed plates, stemware and flatware. We also rented a beautiful bar. This whole process was effortless! One phone call and I was done! They delivered the equipment on Friday and picked it all up on Monday. The equipment was clean and in great shape. Great company...Highly recommend.

I hired Abbott Party Rentals at the recommendation of my caterer, and Im so glad I did. Laurie met with us to go over the party planning and look at the site. Then she met with us AGAIN when we added another company to handle the serving. She coordinated everything with both companies. She recommended what size tent, what type of tent, the amount of tables and highboys we might consider, and helped us pick out linens and other details. Super positive lady. Her advice was invaluable.The crew that came out was very efficient and really knew what they were doing. They installed everything the day before and then came out the morning after the event and took everything down, repaired the asphalt and were on their way. I couldnt have been happier with their service.

Couldnt be happier with Abbott Party Rental! We celebrated my sons birthday recently along with 80 of our friends and family. We had some components already, but Abbott was able to accommodate tables, hi-tops and chairs very reasonably. We even got a pretzel warmer!

This company is awesome. The weather was going to be scorching hot all weekend and we already had the party planned. I called Friday afternoon and was able to get a tent and some big fans delivered that day. The owner Bob was really accommodating and helpful. My party would have been a disaster without the tent and fans since we had senior citizens coming. They came back on Monday, just as promised and took it all away. Great company!!! Rented 20 of their cheapest folding chairs and 2 used banquet tables. Picked them up on a Saturday, returned them Monday (earliest they were open). When returned was waved around to side of building where warehouse workers took them out of my truck. Several weeks later was charged over $600 on my credit card. Called Bob, was told I didnt return them. Completely untrue, went round and round with him and apparently he must think theres a hot black market for cheap folding chairs and beat up banquet tables. All I could do at that point was write a review whenever possible. Almost a year later I get a phone call and caller ID says Abbott Party Rental and I immediately think holy cow, they realized the error of their ways and are calling to give me my money back. Well, Bob then asks if I was the one who wrote a negative review the year before and he comes from a family of lawyers and they feel they have real grounds for a lawsuit. So I told him to sue me, still waiting to be served papers. If after reading this you doubt my sincerity here, this ripoff happened over 5 years ago, and every now and again I check the reviews on this place simply out of spite,even though Ive accepted the financial loss . I just realized that I hadnt posted a review on Google, felt I really owe it to this place to get my $600+ worth of free expression. GO WITH ANOTHER PLACE, TRUST ME, ANY PLACE BUT THIS ONE.

Excellent service. The customer service person was a pro and helpful. The delivery people were friendly and quick. I read that they were the best prices and they were! I would recommend and plan to use Abbott again.

I rented a 20x20 tent in the last week and the service was great. Everyone that was involved was very helpful and accommodating. A man named Chris came to set it up and was very helpful and friendly. He made sure everything was set up correctly and was on time. Overall, very helpful. I would definitely rent from this company again.

Ive rented from them multiple times over the last few years. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful. The equipment that Ive used, from chairs and tables, to microphones and games, have always been in great shape. And their prices are very reasonable as well!

I called these guys to help with a last minute graduation party. When I say last minute I mean last minute! The weather forecast was calling for rain all weekend so I ordered a tent, tables, chairs, lights, a couple of coolers and a frozen margarita machine. The crew was super friendly and helpful. The tent looked new and everything else was clean. They came back first thing Monday morning and picked it all up.. Cant say even goods things about these people. Highly recommend!!!

Our experience with Abbott Party Rental was stellar! Bob anticipated our needs and helped us plan as creating a large event new for us. Bob gave us different priced options, even steering us away from higher priced choices if r wasn’t our best option. When setting up and noticing the mosquitoes were bad he called to let us know and he brought a mosquito fogger for us to use! Everything was clean and perfect- the tent, lighting, dishes, glassware, etc. We would highly recommend Abbott!!

I recently used Abbott Party Rental for my sisters graduation reception and they were unbelievable! I live in Atlanta and was traveling to Lombard so I needed to do everything by phone. When I arrived before the reception, I was speechless! All equipment (Tables, Chairs, Linens, China, Flatware, etc...) looked brand new and of the highest quality. The Customer service was head and shoulders above other party rentals companies in Illinois. My family and I have dealt with 2 different rentals companies in Illinois in the recent years and Abbott is by far the best! I highly recommend them to anyone having an event in Lombard, Illinois!

I have never had such poor customer service in my life. This company called and said that they could not deliver my tent the day of my party. They made no attempt to rectify the situation. Not even compensating my rental for $10 tables that I even offered to come pick up. I would NOT rent from this company!

This business has a lot to learn about customer service. Im frankly surprised they are still in business considering the negative reviews and their lack of care about reviews that are publicly posted about their service.We used this rental company for a small dinner party and were disgusted with how dirty the glasses and silverware were upon arrival. Lipstick marks, pieces of food, all which we only discovered when setting the places 30 mins prior to the guests arriving. We were still washing dishes that should have arrived clean when our guests arrived.To add insult to injury, when I politely pointed this out to the proprietor upon return of their stuff his response was that we should have called them and they would have brought out new glasses and cutlery. YEAH RIGHT! First of all it was already 7PM by the time we discovered the dirty stuff. Instead of offering a discount on the rental or simply an apology, all of a sudden it was our bad for not calling them to bring new stuff out!We did wash all of the stuff so that the next renter doesnt have the same experience we had, but certainly wont return to this place and will do everything we can to make sure that nobody else goes there either.Rule #1 about running a business - The only reason you EXIST is because of your customers. Treat them with respect, as one negative review is enough to turn away ten times as many customers as you offended. My prediction: this place is out of business very soon.

Abbott Party Rental is the best party rental place around! I have never met a party rental company with staff as professional as Abootts! They were very helpful throughout the entire ordering process and it was so easy to get what I needed! They were very professional throughout the entire process. Not to mention, the equipment that I rented was of great quality! I will certainly be renting more party equipment from them in the future!

Abbott saved my daughters wedding!!What a nightmare we had going before Abbott came along and rescued us!Less than two weeks before my daughters wedding, the company she had already hired, booked and PAID in advance called my daughter and told her they were going out of business and having to file bankruptcy and unfortunately they could no longer make their OBLIGATED apoointment for her! How in the world they didnt know this until 2 weeks before they were supposed to host my daughters big event is beyond unbelievable (but I guess that is for the judge to figure out!)Anyway, they have their own review (although whats it matter now, right?) so enough about them... let me tell you about how Abbott saved the day!We called around in a panic...obviously...and no one could help, until we called Abbott. They understood our situation and immediately started working with me and my daughters MOH to set everything up less than two weeks before the event. Because of them, we were able to still have everything stay as scheduled and everything went off without a single issue!.The equipment was all beautiful and well maintained. Most items looked brand new, and the sound quality of their sound system was good enough to almost make up for the karaoke. Everything was set up and ready before the caterers arrived. The staff couldnt have been nicer, more professional or better trained.Considering the circumstances of the situation, Abbott receives an A+++ from us just for being able to rescue my daughters big day, but even with such short notice, they really were a high class and very professional company.Highly recommend!

We used Abbott Rental for our Daughters Wedding on Sept 2, 2012. I do NOT recommend them for any party rental. The owner, Bob, is an unprofessional and discourteous. They were late in getting the wedding rentals to our venue by 3 hours. Which left our venue staff having to wait until they were done loading only to find out they forgot 6 tables which they didnt bring until the following day. The chairs we rented were filthy. We had a crew of 20 people help us scrub them down before we could have our guest sit on them. Some of the tableware, flatware and glassware had food on them. We had to wash a lot of them. When I sent an email to Bob telling him this information he became extremely defensive and arguementive. His excuse for the dirty chairs was that they are outside chairs and usually are dirty. He denied that some of the flatware, glasses and china had food on them. IF I was told we were renting outside chairs that were dirty do you think I would have still rented them? I have had several emails from him bickering back and forth defending why things were dirty, why the driver was late, why he forgot the table etc., Do yourself a favor and save yourself the stress and headache and find a reputable rental company. Go by word of mouth. Use a rental company someone you know has used before. We paid a lot of money in renting from Abbott and it wasnt worth it. Please learn from my error. Im so angry I cant even type how disgusted I am with their service and business. I will say it is a poorly ran establishment and if you are having an event DO NOT use them. They are very shady! Rent from someone else. I wish I wouldve read the reviews before I even bothered.

Theres absolutely NOTHING to like about this company! As a wedding planner, I am extremely disgusted in the level of service and the attitude that they have to their customers that provide them with the money to continue to run this disfunctional business! This is my 2nd time renting from them, and it will be my absolute last! Do not rent from them at all! No where in their contract states that you need to pay a $250 security deposit, but they will lie to you and tell you that it is in there and will only contact you less than 24 hours to let you know and then want to have the decency to catch an attitude because you didnt know about that! For them to say its in the contract (but its not) is complete bs. If you know whats good for you, do not rent from them. Pay a little extra and rent from another company that provides GREAT customer service!On top of this, when I made the initial quote to provide to my client, I requested 220 chairs, plus other things and thats the quote Laurie provided. A week before the wedding, I called to confirm the final numbers to 202 and Laurie made the change. I called back 2 days later to add just ONE more chair, Bob answers and tells me they dont have it. Odd, because no one is getting married on a Thursday in November. He proceeds to tell me that they only have 199 in their warehouse, but caught an attitude with me because I needed 203. Laurie is a liar..this whole company is a joke! I have never dealt with anything like this before. If you want to have a stress free wedding (and Im not even the bride), DO NOT RENT from Abbott Party Rentals!! Save yourself the headache!

Would not use their services again. Rented the dunk tank and two people cut themselves on a pole that was sticking out. It was in very bad shape! They came looking for the check after I had dropped it off at the store on a Friday they were here looking on Monday.
