Solar nails was always my favorite nail salon in lockport as I never thought the other salons around were as good. However, I feel as though Im always leaving there with some small issue that I felt they could have done a better job on. For example all of my acrylic nails wouldnt be the same length or the shape may be off on a couple nails, but it has never been a big enough issue to stop me from going there. I recently had an acrylic nail fall off and underneath I found my nail to be covered in fungus. This disgusted me beyond belief so I decided to take off the rest of my nails to find that there was fungus on 7/10 of nails. My friend who I go there with also had fungus on 2 of her nails. I decided to take mine off myself as I never want to go back there for the negligence and uncleanliness that they displayed by giving me fungus to begin with. However, my friend went there to get her acrylic nails removed and the nail technician ripped them off of her fingers, causing her an immense amount of pain and making her fingers bleed. They do not seem to care about the health and safety of their customers and only care about making money. I will NEVER be going to this establishment again.

Lovely place with lovely staff! I think my nails are absolutely beautiful! The lady who did my nails was super sweet! The staff laughed a lot which I liked a lot. Everyone was super sweet and professional. I even got to get in a little early! The place was filled with staff which is different from my other nail experiences. Overall lived for it!

I do not recommend this place. The staff will rush through your nails. I’ve gotten multiple full sets here and each time the staff was very disrespectful and they cut my finger nails until i was gushing blood twice. As i was bleeding, the staff showed me my hand and shrugged her shoulders, and went back to drilling. Their prices have increased drastically since covid also.

Decent prices, not a long wait even on a Saturday, nice staff, nice pedicure/manicure job. I gave four stars only because my spa pedicure lasted 40 minutes versus the listed 45. No water offered like Ive experienced at other places. But good experience overall

I love this nail shop this is The only one I would go to it is so clean they are polite people and I do very well on nails you should try them out.

This place is very nice. It’s clean, they have a lot of staff on hand and everyone is polite and professional. So far I have only had Donny do my nails, he does a great job. I’m thinking of getting more services next time I go. Definitely, give this spa a shot.

They do a great job on my nails,I get the pink and white acrylic done so they look like a French manicure with out the polish, Michael does my nails,he listens to what I ask for and does it! Im very happy and love my nails I would highly recommend them!

Amazing work every time I go. The staff is so friendly, their prices are great, and Im always able to get in quickly! Its a far drive from my house, but well worth it.

Very clean, courteous staff, all covid19 barbicide certified and no wait was taken immediately. He was able to fix the terrible job I had done at a different spa.

This place has 0 recognition of what a TRUE salon is. NEVER GO HERE! Rude people, terrible work, terrible nails, terrible everything!! these people are rude and inconsiderate, my nails were ruined for months after going here! seems other people were bleeding, the only people who find this place appealing is elderly woman. NEVER go here ! this place will mess you up.

Many of the pictures provided on the website aren’t their’s and taken from the internet. I’ve never been here and I have the common sense to never let these people get the chance to touch my nails. It’s pretty obvious these people do a very poor job based on the reviews. There are people that claim they were left with bloody and obliterated nails. Their fake and phony’s and their website isn’t even real.

I went to get my nails taken off, they are supposed to soak them off and they RIPPED my acrylics off causing pain and bleeding. she stabbed my actual nail and did not apologize or anything, didn’t sanitize my cuts or anything, paid $50 for my nails to be BRUTALLY torn apart. when i asked why she was doing it to stop and soak them off like they are supposed to, she said they don’t soak them off there, which is a complete lie. caused me immense pain and bleeding, WILL NOT BE GOING BACK!

2.5 hr wait for a basic pedicure today... not their usual timeliness. My tech Jenna...was awesome.

My first experience was great Michael did a great job.My second experience wasnt as good as the lady who did my acrylic filling did a horrible job. Nails are uneven and overfiled. Plus she overcharged based on prices posted in the store.

They took my temperature as soon as i went inside. They have plexiglass up between each operator and client and a barrier on the sides separating the next client. What i noticed was they were not cleaning the surfaces between customers. They did have big Germ X bottles each station though. My nails were done fine. .

Asked for a nail design and would not have been mad if the lady said she couldn’t do it and I would’ve done something else. But she said she could and it looks like I did it

My wife is so upset we have went here 4 times and 2 of the 4 times were good this time the lady rushed it and when she was using the tool to take off the acrylic it was burning her nail and when she told the lady she did not stop there is nail polish all over my wifes hand and they are so sharp my wife has to file them her self now ill never pay for my wife to go there again

This is a great place to have your nails done! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. Everytime my girls, my mother-in-law and I go, we leave very satisfied with their work!

They ran out of hot water, people are upset and leaving Im still hanging out waiting .......

I asked about getting eyelash extensions after my pedicure and eyebrows and when I said I no longer wanted to do it they did a horrible job on my pedicure and messed one of my eyebrows

Im getting real tired of going to these salons that dont really cut the cuticles well for a pedicure. After the oil washes away, youre left with white, dry cuticle. Theyre not fooling anyone. I really miss an American Salon. Tired of these divas!

Came here 5 days ago for a gel mani pedi. The next day the gel was cracking and coming off. Not to mention i had to file my nails down to make them even and get the bumps off the edges... Super disappointed 😥

Overall they so a good job...however, sometimes the wait is very long even if they tell you no wait. Sometimes your feet sit in the water for half hour before someone waits on you.

Walking in the door the strength of the smell took my breath away. Their response to their poor ventilation was to open the door. When I said I should have brought a mask, they gave me one. I wanted a dip (girlfriend had recommended), I had gel that I had taken off the night before. When I sat down she pulled out the grinder, I said I didn’t want that because it destroys your nails. She started saying fine but don’t get mad at me if they don’t stay on (I didnt realize dip was like acrylic). I told I had taken off the he’ll last night couldn’t she rough up the surface by hand. So she filed my nails, roughed the surface and proceeded to do my nails. No soaking, no pushing back or trimming cuticles, no lotion/massage or hot wax dip. My nails are nice but not $40 worth. Worst “manicure” ever. Will not make the mistake of walking in there again!

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I had the Organic Green Tea Spa Pedicure that comes preboxed. It felt wonderful and the smell is not too strong and very pleasant . I enjoyed the service very much. Its a little noisy but typical of a busy Nail business. The cleaning ofthe spa bath was immediate and I felt comfortable that the basins are cleaned and sanitized.

My visit to solar nails was the most disappointing ever. Paid $40 for what was supposed to be a full manicure and powder dip. My hands look horrible. I have been getting powder dip from a different salon for about a year with wonderful results. My regular technician was not available so I thought I would give solar nails a try - BIG MISTAKE. No manicure and tech had no clue as to what he was doing. I will never go back. Go at your own risk. Clue should have been that there were no customers waiting and salon wasneR empty.

I had a full set of gel nails put on and within 10 days, 6 nails had fallen off. I didn’t do anything in that time frame that would have caused the nails to come loose and fall off. It was just poor quality work. I do not recommend, unless you want to waste your money.

The service is very good when they understand what you want Unfortunately, I was not understood today when I told them three separate times how I was growing out my original nails so they didnt need trimmed or filed down and yet they clipped the one I needed fixed so when I have the acrylic nails removed, I will have one short nail. They need someone who understands what their customers wants. Once they get that, they will be amazing.

Jenna is the best. This spa is so much better than any salon in Lockport. If I could give 10 stars I would. Prices are cheaper than anywhere else and they treat you like youre friends not just a commission

Made an appointment ahead of time - over 30 minutes later still waiting, people having no appointment going before me. I finally inquired to the customers sitting waiting as well and asked “do appointments not matter, this is my first time here?”All 5 girls shook their head and told me nope they don’t care if you have appointment no point in making one, you’ll still end up waiting like the rest.

This place was disappointing. My mom and I stopped in to get our nails done with dip powder. We had been contemplating it for a while and saw that this place had good reviews so we figured we would try it. Instead of prepping our nails the right way they ground our cuticles off with a spinning tool and deeply gouged our nails instead of just buffing them to prep them for the dip. It really was the opposite of what a salon experience ought to be. They didn’t even do what they would have for a basic manicure.The dip looked nice but they did so many coats that our nails were all cracking the very next day. I went back in to have the cracked nails redone and the woman told me that I was “too rough” on them. The day after they were all cracked again.Once they all finally peeled off like a week later my nails had DEEP ridges and indentions on them from the way they ground down my nails. It has been almost two months since we went and all my nails are still ridged in the middle.I really wanted to give a good review, but it was really disappointing. I am not someone who spends a lot of money on my nails so to have this happen and have my nails be totally ruined after was really annoying.Definitely do your research before going here 🙈😳

I had been there before and I have had good service. This time round they were busy with prom, which I totally understand. Except, she hurried through my nails, I asked them to be buffed and they are barely shiny. I can see the fill lines, which she told me would never happen with their type of acrylic. And I have one lifting on the edge already and its only been a few days. Very critical on how my nails looked from another nail salon. Kept trying to talk me into having to get brand-new nails which is not necessary. I had someone to myself for a whole 20 minutes because she was in such a hurry. Will not go back

I have been going to Solar Nails for over 2 years. I have noticed the last 6 months that the quality of service has declined and they have gone to using a cheap polish. I had a manicure and pedicure on Wednesday. By Friday they were already chipping I went in on Saturday to have them fixed and was treated very rudely. I had asked for a dip a few months ago and I tried telling Beverly a true dip is the color of the dip she told me I was wrong and did a gel polish over the dip. It peeled within a week. I will be taking my services elsewhere from now on.

Always a great experience and amazing selection of offerings. Pedis, manis, acrylics, gel, waxing, and the techs are always on top of their work and want to make sure youre happy. As someone who gets their nails (hands and feet) done often, I refuse to go elsewhere.

Cleanest nail salon ive ever been in. They never reuse implements on clients without proper sanitation or sterilization. I get my own box labeled where they keep my nail files and use only on me when i come in. Very friendly and extremely talented staff. I always just do a walk in, and ive enver waited longer than 2 minutes for my service.

I go here for EVERYTHING all places near this place have cut me or my families fingers and toes or just done a terrible job but this place has yet to fail me or any of my family. Plus the prices are decent.
