My family has loved Dr. Davis for years, I recently got my own puppy and at 10 weeks old he suddenly had some bad symptoms of something being wrong. Called Sheehy first thing and they fit us in their busy schedule. Even with how crazy busy I could see they were, Dr. Davis showed amazing compassion, quickly diagnosed my puppy, recommended a plan, and referred to a specialist, who he then regularly followed up with. I wish I knew the names of the other people there, but ultimately everyone I interacted with was so helpful, quick and kind. It’s so scary when such a young pup is sick like mine was, but the compassion and attention shown at Sheehy was amazing. I was so well informed, and I know my Sam was well taken care of. I cannot recommend this team enough, they are busy and there is a wait for an appointment, but I can see why. Your furry friend is in good hands here, not only are they knowledgeable, but they are so loving and compassionate towards your fur baby. It’s easy to spot that everyone here is a big lover of animals and will take great care of your pet. 100/10.

We have been here 3 x this year. First time was an emergency on Saturday for our cat, and the other 2x were for vaccines and general yearly exams. Dr. Brad Davis, DVM is wonderful. The entire staff is wonderful. We switched from veterinarian Livonia hospital on Farmington road that we went to for 6 years straight to Sheehy because they are closer to home, and treat our cats and us very good

Dr. Davis is amazing. He showed such genuine care for the well being of our terminally sick dog and gave us sound advice that made sense on a practical, financial and emotional level. When I was waiting for results on my dogs condition, he called me directly and spent a good amount of time on the phone addressing all of my concerns. This man truly loves and cares about animals and it shows. The staff is also phenomenal.

Dr. P is an amazing Vet and shes cared for my dog for a few years, now. She adores my fur baby and she works fiercely to keep her seizures under control. She has patience and shes personable, the qualities I think we all look for in a Vet. Dr. Sheehy is wonderful as well. The staff at Sheehy loves their fur patients and my dog is never upset when I take her to her appointments. Thats important to me as a pet parent. I recommend Sheehy Animal Hospital. Youll be more than satisfied with the care and peace of mind.

Stop! If you’re looking for a vet office with great staff, great vets, great value; look no further. Seriously.My entire family had been going to another popular local vet office for years and watched as their office lost that “special touch” that made them so popular in the first place. My dog has skin allergies and I got tired of different vets just sending her home with medicated shampoos. So, I searched around and found Dr. Davis and I will never consider going anywhere else. Our first appointment was in the spring and I called the day of. Not only did he stay late on a Friday night to see us, I was immediately blown away with how thorough and experienced he is. One appointment and we were on the right treatment track. I left feeling so sure that I made the right choice. I mean this- staff really takes their time during consults to make sure you understand what’s happening. But what really blew me away was the first “follow up” phone call we got a few days later to make sure everything was going well, and we still occasionally get them after appointments. Dr Davis and staff clearly love their jobs and the pets they treat.

The Best for your pet . The fur babies dont lie.No stress. No fear. Just healing. Very gifted Doctors and staff. My spoiled Pomeranian would have let me know if she was unhappy. She was extremely calm and content. That is a miracle!

Dr. Davis is a gem! We missed him at VCA and had to visit Sheehy with our new puppy when we found out he was practicing here. He is knowledgeable and LOVES the animals, truly. The rest of the staff were awesome and treated our little one with great care. So happy we switched and cannot wait to get our older pup transitioned here as well- he misses friendly people at his vet visits.

My dog is 8 yrs old and hates going to the Vet. We went to Sheehy Animal hospital and within minutes he was calm quiet and relaxed. Everyone there is so awesome from the receptionist to the Tech and the Doctor. We have seen Dr. Sheehy and Dr. Davis for over 25 years and there is no other place to go.

I was unable to come inside (my choice as I was too upset) but they reassured me that he would be well taken care of. I am sure of this or he would not have gone inside. Rest in peace my love.

I rushed my hedgehog in as an emergency due to what seemed “grunting” which is not normal for her. We were worried that it was due to her uterine cancer spreading but Dr. Sheehy and her staff gave me two options for helping her. Since the problem had just started, we opted for antibiotics and a steroid treatment and see how she fares. Dr. Sheehy and your staff, please know how much we appreciate you seeing us on such short notice, I know that can be stressful but my baby is sounding better and more like herself now. Fingers crossed that she continues to recover and we can see y’all on a much happier note.

Unfortunately, we had to put our beloved pet down. He had received exceptional care during his illness. When his time came, everyone along with Dr. Sheeney were so compassionate and understanding that it made a difficult time a little easier for us. They will always be the vet for our pets.

The doctor was extremely thorough and kind when speaking to us about our very old and dying kitty. My wife and I both really appreciate all of the time he took with us and to help us make peace with our tough decision. Dr. Davis is a kind soul and his love for animals clearly shows.

Just had our first appointment here yesterday! The staff is really friendly and accommodating. They took the time to make sure my dog (who is on the nervous side) was comfortable, and everything went great. Dr. Davis was very knowledgeable, experienced and personable :) I can see why everyone recommends him! He gave me some really great advice. All in all, we cant wait to go back!

I cannot speak anymore highly of Dr. Davis and my favorite vet of all time. I am so happy a coworker recommended him. This clinic is about a 25 minute drive for me but its worth driving past all the others. Dr Davis went above and beyond on Friday, the day before a holiday, to make sure my dog got the meds he needed instead of having to wait till Monday. I really appreciated it. This type of care, professionalism and customer services is hard to find these days.

The Best vet clinic in the state of Michigan.

I took my 5 year old boxer in for a routine check up. With the Covid-19 precautions, they have done well in properly keeping themselves and others safe. They were very professional and took care of my girl. Dr. Davis came out and spoke to me regarding how my Chevy girl was doing. Calling and speaking with them over the phone for payment, setting up future appointments and any other things. I love the friendly way they took care of us when we visit the clinic. I love Dr. DAVIS. He really cares about animals and takes the time to explain everything. Had to make the painful decision to put my cat to sleep and it was very difficult and he made it not so scary, it still was sad but I felt like he cared about my cat and me and wasnt rushing it and wanted to make it the most peaceful and painless process for everyone. I highly recommend his care with your love ones.

We followed Dr.Davis from his previous practice, he has been our vet since we have had these current pets! We also had to have some surgery on one of our pets and Dr Sheehy did a wonderful job!! I went to the Sheehy ANimal Hospital for the first time on Wednesday, 06/10/2020, and it wont be the last time I go. The staff were very kind and courteous, they really made sure that I understood what was going on and they took really good care of my pet when I handed him over for his appointment. Not sure what they did exactly because on the way to the hospital for the initial appointment, my parrot was screaming, growling, and trying to chew his way through his carrier. On the way back home after the appointment, he was as calm as a cucumber and even seemed very happy lol.Dr. Sheehy was very knowledgeable about the needs of my pet and it really reassured me that not only was this a great place to have brought him, but its now my go-to for anything my parrot needs in the future. The recommendations I received from other vet clinics to come to Sheehy were definitely well placed and I encourage any other pet owner, especially if you have a flying friend, to make the Sheehy Animal Hospital your first choice every time!!

My pup has seen Dr. Davis 3 times for puppy vaccinations. Right now everything is curb side service. They are very good with my pup and take time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions.

Dr. Davis is fantastic. Hes so caring and full of information. The front desk workers and techs are also very kind and caring. You can tell that all the staff loves what they do.

The curbside service was efficient and thorough with a friendly flair. My parakeet and I were very satisfied and will return for nail trims as needed.

The Dr. and staff were very friendly. The lady took my pet inside and I waited in the car. The Dr came out and explained to me what my dogs condition was and suggested what to do. Shorty after the same lady brought him my dog back. Waited a couple more minutes and paid for my visit.

Our family recently had to put our dog down, and with the help of Dr. Davis and his staff, we were well informed that we were doing the right thing. It was explained to us that what we were about to do for our dog was the most unselfish, bravest thing a pet owner can do. I cannot say enough about the compassion we felt from the entire staff, and how they made a horrible situation very tolerable. Afterward we received a card in the mail with a personal note from each employee. If u live in the metro Detroit area and you are not using this veterinary hospital for your pet you are missing out. After the exam, Doctor Davis brought our dog out to the car and sat on the grass answering our questions. Even during COVID, still providing the personal touch!

LOVE THIS PLACE. The staff is amazing. I took my ferret there for a check up and he had to get an updated rabies shot. They had me wait 20 minutes after they gave him the shot just to make sure he was okay and didt have any reactions to it. Then, 2 days later they followed up with a call to make sure he was doing okay. They truly care over at Sheehy! Wont be taking my little guy anywhere else

Great place to take your animals. My dog Olive is a patient and so was my bird. Olive had laser surgery and healed up very nice. I highly recommend.

My cat came in after and emergency weekend visit .. with gum and tooth infection . I was told that to resolve it could cost up to $1200 to treat. The emergency visit cost me $300 and the visit to Sheey cost me another $100. Nothing was resolved other than the ridiculous amount they wanted to charge. I had to remind them at the end of the visit I needed to get prescription filled since emergency place only offered 3 days. I ended up going to another veterinarian for $40 dollars where my cat was given extensive care and bloodwork was done. I would never reccomend this place and I feel that they were just looking for money more than the well being of my cat

I really like Dr. Palmeri and found her very personable. The front end staff are very nice and remember you and compared to my last vet I am pleased with how quickly they answer calls and questions. However, I found Dr. Sheehy to be incredibly rude and to have a detestable bedside manner and I refuse to make appointments with her again.

My dog Teddy is 11 years old, Dr. Davis has been his vet since we brought Teddy into our family at 10 weeks old. I first started seeing Dr. Davis at VCA, 11 years ago. I called one day to get a refill for Teddys medication, only to learn that Dr. Davis was no longer at VCA, my stomach dropped and panic set in - Teddy has Epilepsy and I trust his care to no one but Dr. Davis. I tracked him down at his wifes practice Sheehy and couldnt be happier. We were there today for Teddys yearly check up and back on track. Teddy is happy, Im happy. So happy that Denise is there also - shes the best! Everyone at Sheehey has been great!! Thank you!

The only vet my pets have ever known. When my kids were young we had cats who grew up, got old and have now crossed the rainbow bridge. Now my kids are grown and live on their own and I have 3 dogs that are 9 1/2, 8 and 2. Bo had been coming to Sheehy Animal Hospital since he was 5 months old. We found Diva when she was about 5, and got Harley when he was 1. They are all very well cared for. Bo ripped off one of his nails and was bleeding like crazy. I wrapped his foot up tight and took him over...they fit him right in. No problem, and no questions asked. Diva got injured on her face during some rough housing. I called and she was taken right in. She got her face sutured up. You cant see the scar unless you know were she was injured to begin with. What a great repair job! Thank you so much for taking such good care of my fur babies!

Took my guinea pig today to see Dr. Sheehy. I recently purchased from a well known pet store 3 weeks ago and he stopped eating and drinking the past 6 days ago or so. Dr. Sheehy never discussed the reasons why he may have stopped eating, she only stated there could be many reasons. She left the exam room stating she would have an estimate for me. Ten minutes later the assistant came in and showed me a paper with a list of tests, injections, blood draws, food options etc. The total came to $401.00I explained I couldnt afford all those things and the assistant said yes I understand. I chose the force feed food route only because I did my research online prior. I felt like Dr. Sheehy was very cold and did not go through any options with us and help decide what we could do and or try. Just sends in assistant with a enormous priced list of options in which she never went over with us. I came there hoping to get guidance and help from a vet for this very ill guinea pig we just purchased,but instead just felt she was all about the money. I learned more from online research than I did with the visit. I would never return here or would never ever recommend anyone to bring their pet here. I pray the guinea pig gets better and God guides us through this.

The staff at Sheehys is amazing. Ive never had a bad experience with anyone there, everyone is always very helpful and friendly.We rescued a stray three years ago and found out he had heartworm. We took him to Sheehys and they did a wonderful job of helping him to recover. Marty (our pup) has also boarded there while we were out of town and he had a blast each time.We also brought our senior kitty in last because he was very sick, and thanks to their hard work we found solutions to his problems and hes maintaining a happy life now. He wouldnt be here today without them.Id recommend Sheehys to anyone looking for a vet, the people there are simply wonderful and work tirelessly for their patients, and most importantly recognize that our pets are family.

Dont be fooled misleading online claims we see exotic pets two vets said they do as well. But when I called no they most certainly dont, they pick what small range they will see aka snakes and turtles, well if your gonna do that why not include all amphibian and reptiles, but you don’t, youll see lizards, but you wont see toads.........change your online claim so people dont waste their time.

Ive been to alot of vets and this is definitely my favorite place. Smart vets, very kind staff. They work with you when you cant afford everything. I recommend this place to everyone in the area

I only gave one star because I couldn’t give 0 stars to write this review!!!! I thought this vet cared about our dog but instead they just wanted money!! We took our puppy in to get tested for parvo. They charged us 231. And was told we had to come back the next day for 111 more dollars. We had car trouble so we didn’t make it and then called to see if we could come in the next day they said No!! We asked if we could at least come in and get the bag of fluids for 48 dollars that they only administered 300 ml. Out of they again said no we had to take her some where else and start over!! If your dog has parvo the fluids are critical to there survival and if they really cared about our dog they would of at least gave us that! The were also gonna charge us 30 dollars the next day to receive more of the fluids from the same bag what a rip off!!! I took her to northwest veterinary hospital and they took care of her at a reasonable price!! Only 15 dollars for the exact same anti nausea medication that they charged us 45 dollars for and that they were going to also charge us again the next day for the same price!! And 48 dollars for the iv fluid bag the same one that they have but they sent me home with the bag and needles so I could give it to her myself!!! I would never recommend this place to anyone!!! Sad people acting like concerned pet lovers!!!

I have been taking my pets to Dr. Sheehy for the past 15 years and obviously I am very happy with the help and support I get from her and her staff. They are all very responsive to my pets needs. I currently have two dogs and interestingly both were dogs rescued by one of Dr. Sheehys assistants. I would not hesitate to recommend the Sheehy Animal Hospital.

Great staff & facility. Dr. Sharon Sheehy is the very best. I love that she personally calls you the day after an appointment to check on your pet & returns your calls within the hour if she is unavailable. When our ferret was very sick a member of the staff called us every week to check on his symptoms until he started showing signs of improvement.

This place is a complete rip off. I am not a cheap person, middle class wage and pay top dollar for my dog, over 150 a month on best food and supplement food. Just to put in perspective my review. Was told for the dog flu vaccine (required by most boarders) would be 120 for each dog. What they dont tell you is you get charged TWICE for the vet visit. Once when you get the inital shot, and then again for the 3 week booster. Why would you charge the vet fee twice when you are just coming in for the 2nd round which competes this vaccines schedule and efficacy. I asked about 10 times to multiple people what the total would be. Told me the next visit there is no charge just need ro run in with the pups. This place is incompetent as a business. The blonde woman vet is nice, but bad businesss practices here. Lost out on me and my 2 dogs coming in for life and spending thousands just to steal 100 dollars. If you need vaccines get them at tail waggers, they dont do the dog flu vaccine but i suggest getting that anywhere but here. They wanted to charge a total of 380 dollars for two dogs for dog flu vaccine. Claimed they have to have a way to pay employees so they screw the new customers.* as you can see below, this establishment wrote back acting like I am saying vaccines should be free, i am simply saying that i was quoted 120 each for each dog, and ended up being charged almost 360 dollar, they quoted me one thing multiple times when i was checking with vets to get pricing. This place wont even look you in the eyes. I asked multiple vets if they charge the doctor fee for the initial 1st vaccine and the 3 week booster, and they all said this is ridiculous. You would only pay the doctor fee at the first visit. And it should be no more than 100 dollars per dog total.

I love Dr Sheehy and Dr Polmari. I just wish that we had the option to get paper scripts for some of the pain meds my elder English Bulldog is on. For two of my three English Bulldogs we spend in upwards of $500 a month on medication (for over a year now) and I know at least two of the meds are carried at Walmart and I can get them for a fraction of the cost vs buying them directly from Sheehy Animal. However they take AMAZING care of my babies!!! Dr Sheehy is an amazing vet! And the staff is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

I cannot say enough good things about this place. The Dr. was caring and understanding and so was everyone else who works there, from the receptionist, to the nurses and the Dr. we seen.I have had dogs and cats all my life and they by far are the best vet I have ever been to. was very happy with the way they treat us, and our pets. Their prices are reasonalbe and fair, and alot less than any other regular vet or pet hospital I have been to. They really care about you and your pets. Will highly recommend them to everyone I know! All the staff at Sheehy Animal Hospital are professional and warm and caring people. They helped me see my aging Sheltie through the end few years of his life. He had health issues that became complex and together we planned to give him the best end of life care that was possible. My son brings his cat there and they are now seeing my new Sheltie puppy. I trust them more than any other vet I have been in relationship with.

Dr. Sheehy is very efficient and caring along with her staff.

I would not recommend bringing birds here, especially small birds. My budgies were acting normal, but one had a dirty vent. I brought them in to be checked out to make sure it wasn’t something that required medicine. When I got there, I was told there was no testing that could be done to determine why the bird had mild diarrhea. Then why go to the vet?I had two healthy birds until I went to that vet. She did not listen to the lungs. She did not minimize the stress if the bird. She did not do a stool sample. She almost had her assistant give the dewormer, but I stopped her because I had a bad vibe. I asked her if she knows how to handle small birds and she said yes, but then she opened the paper bag that they had left my bird in for a long time and the bird started yelling at her! She then had the vet administer the dewormer.I’m positive that if I had not taken them in the cold that they would have continued to be fine. It was the travel in the cold that did the green one in and could affect my other birds who are in the same room, as I have no other warm space for them.The green one is now breathing very rapidly and he is alone on the other perch. The two have been inseparable till now. I’m so mad at myself for taking them to a vet who claims to specialize in birds but who did absolutely nothing but look at it and weigh it.I’m thinking I might need to take it to emergency and I have a ton of other things to do. It’s christmas.Lesson learned to not take small birds in the cold unless absolutely necessary. The original symptom could have cleared up on its own. Now I have a major problem.I called them to see if they could give antibiotics over the phone since the birds were already seen and they offered them at the visit. They refused to do anything and recommend that I go to emergency with the birds!If I bring the birds in and there is no testing that can be done, I see no point in the vet even looking at the bird. To me, this means the vet lacked experience. I’ve been told by others that more should have been done. I’m just outraged and so upset that I wasted time and money and that my birds may all get sick now because of a useless trip out in cold weather.Please do not bring healthy budgies to a vet for a “check up” and I would advise going elsewhere with sick ones, as they have no means of determining what is wrong with your bird in the first place.

When we almost lost our pet to diabetes the staff was wonderful and helped us understand our pets condition. Very caring staff.
