The place was pretty big, however, I didn’t like the fact we were asked to stay in one area. The rental price for two was about $150. It came with paintballs, face mask, and paintball gun. The only thing I didn’t like was that they told us that they were going to call us. They never did. After an hour, we asked the staff about when we were allowed to start. They informed us that they didn’t know that we were part of their group. It’s a little disorganized. Overall it’s a decent place. The staff was friendly.

The best paintball place ive been to, 60 dollars fee for entry and 50 dollars for 2000 paintballs, gives free food and gives out cold water for like 50 cents and cold sodas for a dollar. Cliff who I assume is the owner is so friendly, he talks in a very happy voice, hes nice to everyone, and he gave me a free yearly entrance for the establishment and a 2nd one to give to a friend on my 3rd or 4th visit. Seriously you dont get better than this...

This is the best paintball field in the bay area if youre looking for a private event, birthday party, or are new to the sport of paintball. Very professional referees that will ensure you and your friends have a good time in a private party. On the other hand, there are a bunch of regular self-equipped players that comprise the main game. At American Paintball Parks main game, youre likely to find some of the friendliest and most helpful people in the game of paintball. I highly recommend anyone who is interested in paintball give this facility a shot, it is excellent.

I was recommended American Paintball Park by some folks online, while discussing places around the Bay that were professionally run, and more welcoming to self-equipped players. Indeed, when my friend and I arrived there was a decent sized group of friendly people with their own gear who seemed to be regulars, as well as a couple parties of rentals. The owner was a good guy, even providing some hot dogs for free during lunch, and his prices for admission, rentals, and paint were reasonable. Likewise, the refs were helpful and fair. I wish we could have got in another game per round (2 games with a switch between sides before a break) but as it was, we still got in maybe 12 games in the 5 hours we were there which was fine by me. I definitely look forward to playing at this field in the future.

Fun place that doesnt try to nickel and dime you. Paintball field is large and guns and rental gear work great. Animals have dug some holes on the field and those are kind of dangerous. My kid stepped in one hole and hurt his knee. Other than that the place is great.

Stand up playing field for both newcomers and experienced players alike. Cliff, the owner, works hard to make this a place where everyone can have a good time and that carries on to his staff as well. Well worth your time to check them out!

American Paintball Park was SUCH a trek to get to from San Jose, but it was SO worth it!The staff was fantastic in making sure everyone knew what was going on and explaining the rules. They were great in facilitating the games and not hovering over everyone. There are a few different fields and theyre all pretty fun.I would HIGHLY recommend this place and would definitely love to come back for any group events.

I played here for the first time last weekend and its now the only place I want to go. A buddy and I tried to go to Santa Clara but they dont allow outside paint. On a whim, we decided to check this place out, and Im so glad I did. Cliff is extremely friendly, clearly loves paintball, and goes the extra mile to personally make sure youre having a good time. The fields are unique, with some really fun twists on classic field types. And if youre a bit tired of showing up and only seeing CS2s and Luxes, this place has insane diversity. Autocockers, pump guns, magfed, old-school guns and just about anything you can imagine was being played. If youre looking for a place that really shows off the best of this sport, there is no place in the bay area Id recommend more than American. I plan on playing here a few times a month from now on.

Im a gamer from Venture Games way back when, I got used to a family feel where you can chat with the owner. While this isnt woods ball its got that family feel. I loved it here and am planning more trips back. The doors field is so much fun!The refs are on it too, never saw any cheating but you could never get away with it if you tried. If you want screaming and fast action speed ball this probably isnt your field. But if you want a weekend of fun this is the place!TL;DR AWESOME FIELD, GOOD REFS, PLAY HERE!

I visited American Paintball Park a couple of weekends ago for my sons 13th birthday party. Paintball is not an activity I personally would get excited about, so I wasnt thinking Id care much one way or the other about the experience, much less write a Google review. But Clif and his team, and the experience they create for their guests, are awesome! First off, they have an enthusiasm and sense of fun about the sport that is positively contagious. They are very clear about the safety rules and procedures, and stay on top of safety at all times without being gruff about it. Our group got its own guide out on the play field and he was helpful as both a referee and instructor. He never missed a beat, taking them out for a break when they were tired and thirsty and rallying them to get back at it when it was time to head back out for more paintball action. Best of all, they outfitted Granddad with a mask and safety vest so he could go out and get some good video of the kids in action. I also appreciated the easy of booking the party online and the follow up email I received from Clif confirming the reservation. Top notch service from start to finish!

Great experience. Staff was amazing. You can bring your own paint but they had decent fresh paint at teasonable prices. Check their website for latest info on which paint and coor is babned. They did allow first strikes, but expect to chrono first with first strike 3 consecutive shots under 280fps limit. Defend castle and doors were our favorite field games.

I recently moved into the bay area (from TX) and was looking for a place to call home. American Paintball Park is absolutely, 100%, no questions asked my new home field. On a Sunday (27 June) I had originally planned on visiting another local field but after seeing the rave reviews I was convinced to spend the extra 20 minutes driving to experience this field. I was thoroughly impressed! I showed up as a solo player wanting to join the public games (and dragging my girlfriend and daughter along to watch as well). The experience was above par from the moment we pulled into the driveway (speaking of which, Google Maps will give you the incorrect directions, having you enter towards the back of the property, a trip around the block has you at the right spot). Paintball masks line the fences and as you pull up the owner is standing there to shake your hand, thank you for you coming out and pointing you in the right direction for registration.Prices were fair, if not below what Ive seen available elsewhere in the area. Its clearly a family run operation and I like that, the owner was excellent when it came to making the rounds during breaks, talking with everyone and getting good conversation going between separate parties. When I was out playing a game, then rejoined my family, they were always relaying stories of how the family came over and talked to them, introduced them to their pets (Chicken Dog!) and made them feel more than welcome. The players at this field are exceptionally nice, assisting with equipment needs (I forgot to bring a rag and a squeegee) and the regular players step in and assist the staff with tasks like air refills. The staff was always on point, calling players out as necessary and emphasizing when an out player was leaving the field. They also chrono before every game which I found to be extremely professional - this field focuses on safety! Masks on early, well before the chrono station and barrel socks on before exiting the field.Theres a nice, unique, selection of fields - although I would rank them on the smaller scale of what Ive experienced in the past (coming from a woodsball background). Games are primarily elimination style and the park features a number of different fields focused on various themes (hay bails/rock walls, stool bunkers, door (provided by Google I learned) and dirt mounds. The doors field is a particularly unique design I had never seen before that was a joy to play on. Theres also an attack/defend field consisting of an uphill climb for attackers against a small team of defenders within a building facade.Theres a minimal snack bar thats not outrageously expensive (50 cents for a bottle of water) and they grill hot dogs for lunch ($3 gets you a very large hot dog and a bag of chips). Games were run very frequently, with 10-15 minute breaks in-between. I arrived around 10:30, left at 3:00 and played 5 games experiencing every field except for the dirt mounds. Theres plenty of shaded seating for observers and break periods and they seemed very accommodating when it came to moving benches/tables around to setup personal grills, birthdays, etc.I absolutely love this park, probably more so than my home park in Texas. They did such a great job at making us feel like part of the family, we were more than welcome there and they were truly appreciative that we would come spend the day with them,My only cons (and they werent enough to mark this review down from a 5):- Some of the fields are close together. I noticed some players engaging players from another field.- The out players area isnt clearly identified on each field and often times in a danger zone between the two games - you may very likely get hit while waiting for the next round.- The field design is entirely centered around elimination - you wont find any long-form or scenario-type games here.Ive certainly found my new home field. If you see a blonde in a tan flight suit, enjoying every damn moment he spends out here, give me a fist bump.
