I wanted a new snow blower. My search ended with Time Rentals. These folks were very courteous and knowledgeable. Bob answered all my questions in spades including those about competitive brands. They ordered the Toro model I wanted, they gave me a sale price, they assembled the machine for me, and they gave me expert training including having me operate the thing. And I know their techs can service my new Toro snow blower should the need arise. And it blows deep mountain snow with no problems. I recommend Chatfield Time Rentals for your Toro equipment needs. I gave these guys a shot despite their less than stellar reviews... Bought a new Ariens snowblower and found them to be very helpful with selection, setup, and gave me a great deal. I did see signs posted about minimum $ for parts orders and shipping costs for parts, so perhaps it isnt a great place to order a $5 part from, but for new Ariens sales, I was very happy.

I reserved an electric jackhammer. I called the day before I needed it and mentioned that the snow had delayed the project and I needed to shift my timetable. There was no issue with the shift. Also, the cord got damaged during use. When I brought it up, they were courteous and asked me to explain what happened. They ended up repairing the cord within the damage waiver, so no extra cost to me. They were not mad and thankful for my rental. Definitely worth the trip to these folks for all my future rental needs.

As times change and we are faced with making our purchases from the BIG BOX stores, I realized that for nearly 15 years I have been going to the guys at Chatfield Time Rental for all of my repairs and purchases of new power equipment. Their personal attention and knowledge is something that is missed in this day and age. It is so great to have a place to turn to that recognize you when you go to them and they have your best interest in mind. Thanks again for all the great years.

Bought a snow blower from these folks and I found their customer service to be first rate. I knew which one that I wanted and bought over the phone, when I got in they had it put together for me and spent about 30 minutes with me going over the machine. Would definitely buy there again.

Went here to rent an ozone generator. Staff was friendly and helpful. Didnt play the usual games that many rental places do (weird fees, strange checkin times, etc). Prices were fairly reasonable. Not the most organized place on the planet, but they had what we needed. Best of all the equipment worked perfectly.

Awful.Im an employee of a very large printing plant in Denver whose compressors went down on a Sunday. These folks were the only ones who were apparently open who had what we needed to get back up and running, and so we let them know that we were on our way.Well, Im the one who was sent, and I drove as quickly as I could down there so that we could pick up the compressor. I got there with 10 minutes to spare.The hours posted are 4pm. We arrived there at 3:50, and the guys looked straight into our eyes as we walked up and locked the gates. They knew that we were on our way, they knew that we had an emergency. Instead of saying, no, we are closing in a few minutes, we cant accommodate you. They let me drive my happy ass down there, wasting gas, wasting time only to have me turn around.Do not even think about using this company. Go somewhere else where your business will actually be valued. If they have to lift so much as their little finger to help you, they wont do it.

This store has the most friendly staff that is willing to bend over backwards for your every need! Great prices, staff and they have everything that you could ever imagine needing from lawn care, snow plows, costumes, chocolate fountains, cotton candy machines, etc! If they dont have what you need, no one will!

Rented a Cotton Candy machine and the heater button didnt work. I brought it back and they exchanged for a new one. However, by the time I got back to our fair at the Senior Living Community I was 30 minutes late. I called the owner Gary to see about ANY type of discount or refund and his response was ridiculous. You expect a car to run forever when you purchase it!?!? I said no, but I expect a rental item to work when I rent it. Think the conversation ended well? No.

They have everything a contractor could need for 95% of projects; lots of stuff you cant find at Home Depot or Ace tool rentals. Fair prices, pretty convenient location, and helpful staff

My husband took his snow blower here for repair. After the first snow on the first pull the machine continued not to operate. We then called a Sears tech to come out and look at it ($100 min) who looked at it and showed him the bolt to buy and replace ($2) and my husband fixed it on his own. We contacted Chatfield Time Rental and Sales to discuss a refund given the lack of services provided. They insist he hit ice on the first pull and that there was no issue with their service. This was a light, fluffy snow - HIGHLY unlikely that the first pull resulted in damage. I think a partial refund of our money would have been customer service that kept us returning year after year. I would strongly encourage you NOT to visit this place.

I never write reviews, but I thought you should know about my very troubling experience there. Although their rates are cheap, you really get what you pay for--equipment that is deteriorating (my scaffolding was scarily rusty) and an incredibly frustrating (and sad) customer experience.I rented scaffolding from CTR and needed it longer, so I called and asked the owner, Gary, if I could just buy it from him. He screamed at me that I should have planned better and said that he was not in the business of sales (which doesnt make sense because they are called Chatfield Time Rental and Sales--weird). When I asked him why he was getting so angry, he said he had a stack of papers full of people who ask him to buy equipment. He hung up the phone on me, yelling, Im done talking to you. When I called him back, and asked him why he hung up in the middle of our conversation, he said that he would have been better off if I would just not have rented from him to start. Wow. It is really sad when people have so much anger and hatred in their lives.Im not sure how this guy can stay in business when he treats customers so meanly. He even threatened to file criminal charges against me (even though he had already charged my credit card without my authorization for the full amount he claimed was due, so hes been made whole) but I looked up the statute he threatened, CRS 18-4-402, and it has been repealed. He said he would sue me with his lawyer, Dan Bloom, but there is no lawyer by that name in the Colorado legal directory.All I wanted to do was buy the scaffolding for a fair price, but this guy would not even have an adult conversation in a normal tone of voice about what a fair price to buy it would be. I hope this review helps you make a decision--a decision not to do business with a very angry, aggressive guy. Seriously, Im afraid that he is going to come to my house and harm me, he was that angry and mean.

Called to rent a table and chairs from them for thanksgiving dinner with the family. As soon as they picked up the phone, they were extremely rude. Didnt seem happy at all that we were calling, they seemed angry. The next day we go to this place and the gates were closed. We were very confused because it was 3:30 on a Wednesday and it was supposed to be open until 5:30. They even told us over the phone that they would be open. So we then called the place and they didnt answer! The phone was ringing for a good 3 mins and there was no answer so we gave up and called a different place. The name is Arapahoe Rental and they were very nice. Do not waste your time with this bad service.

I rented a slushy machine and they did not tell me its as to be returned exactly right at 24 hours and I was 2 hours late and they charged me an additional $35. I explained to the guy the machine was too heavy for me to lift on my own so I had to call someone to help me get it back to him his response...... sorry.Plus not enough staff to help all the people in the store so be prepared to wait. Will never ever come here again!!!!!!

We didnt do anything to you. I came in to give you my business, and you told me one thing and did another. I have never been treated like this, and lied too and so disrespected from any rental company. Too add the cherry on the cake you are trying to slander a good business and good ppl you dont even know. My employees arent thieves they are the most respectful bunch of guys you can meet. I rented a stump grinder, from you and when I got it you guys told me 89.99 for the first 2 hours and 50 for each additional hour. So if I had it for 6 hours, that means 2 hours for 89.99 and 4 hours at 50 each to come to a total of 289.99 and than tax. You guys tryed stealing my money and saying I owe you 800 for a rental for no more than 6 hour. I pay my rentals and return the equipment the way it went out and its the little shops like you that screw ppl over. Online you have your prices as one thing and then make up a price when it comes to the end. I make it my responsibly to do a good job and not cut corners, we are a hard working company that pride ourselves on our work .

I gotta find a new Stihl dealer. This place sucks. Made me pay for shipping for parts that the sales guy said would be there in a couple of days. Its been 3 weeks... still no parts. Good thing Im not making my living with these tools. Saw a guy in there with an electric Toro leaf blower when I stopped in last week to see if my parts were in they told him 5 weeks for a turnaround. What a joke. They no longer finance either.. Forget this place. Id rather take my business to Murdochs for Christs sake.

My husband went in to borrow a tool to lay flatgstone/move dirt so we can put our hot tub in the ground. They laughed at him, refused to rent the part and said that he should just call it off because he is stupid to try and do anything during January.....How the hell are these schmucks in business?!?Complete A Holes, we will take our business elsewherePerhaps because of their all male staff they are mean to the men that come in but nice to the women??

NEGATIVE STARS...Horrible customer service!! Rented a BBQ grille with a propane tank for a company event hoping to feed 100+ people and while setting up grille discovered that propane tank had a bad valve and could not produce heat. Called CHATFIELD TIME RENTALS in hopes of a rescue in a time of panic. Gentlemen on the phone was very rude and instead do anything he could to help he repeatedly said read your contract, its in your contract. They do not verify that equipment works before release to their customers and do not feel any responsibility for broken equipment. Already paid rental fee and did not receive any sort of discount or refund. HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT USING THIS COMPANY!!!

I have never written a review for anything before but I had such a bad experience at CTR that I had to write about it. Long story short I ended up paying more to rent tools than it would have been to buy new ones to keep. The employees/loaders seem to be reasonable but the owner made this the most unpleasant renting experience I have ever had. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

I have used this business on multiple occasions. I am a project manager for a exterior construction company and have rented heavy machinery with out incident it was all taken care of over the phone with decent customer service. However I have gone into the store for rentals and received the most horrendous customer service,. I had to wait for almost 20 minutes before even addressed although there were multiple employees standing behind the counter. When I asked for the machine I needed I was spoken to like I had know idea what I needed and or was talking about. After extreme persistent I was finally given what I originally asked for. The most recent contact with Chatfield Rentals I simply called to asked if helium was sold and was immediately laughed at and told ya good luck no one can get helium right now I then called 1 other company and found it right away. The customer service at this business is one of the worst I have ever encountered. There are many other places I can and will be renting from from here on out.

If I could give this place less than 1 star, I would. We are redoing our yard & needed to rent a skidsteer to haul the mulch. We began calling & when we called Chatfield, THEY actually suggested a different approach of renting a trailer & walk behind loader/dingo. My husband explained specifically what car we had (Subaru Outback 2 trailer hitch & 3k lb towing capacity) & the employee said that would absolutely not be any problem. We made a reservation. We set an appointment to pick up at 5 pm (they close at 5:30) and they emailed a reply saying it would be ready to go at 5 pm.We arrived at 4:55 pm on Friday & go in to pay. Bob said our cars trailer hitch was too low & we couldnt pull the trailer without tearing up the trailer and car. Side note: He NEVER got up from his chair and went outside to actually look at the car. We have aftermarket hitch that has pulled a trailer with weight across the country from GA to CO. His response, Dont you have someone you can call? So we go outside & begin calling people we know with trucks. Obviously since we are calling people at 5 pm asking for their trucks in the next 30 minutes, we have to explain why we are calling.My husband goes back in and says that we are going to borrow a friends Toyota Highlander with a hitch. Bobs response, I dont know what that is. I would have to look at it and see if its a full size SUV or a half-ton pickup truck . My husband responded, Well okay. I know you are about to close. How can we figure that out because they probably would get here right at 5:30 pm. He then responds, Yeah, there is no way we could show you how to use it and set up the trailer before 5:30 pm and gave no suggestions for other help. My husband told him we werent interested anymore & walked out.I didnt like how everything was playing out & wanted to give the company the benefit of the doubt. Any good business understands that when they already have a customer, its cheaper to keep a customer happy than bring in new customers. I go inside & ask for the manager & the same guy my husband had spoken to says he is the manager. I ask him for his name & he tells me its Bob. I then go over the situation with him. He repeats the story about the trailer hitch sitting too low. I reiterate that its the employee that are the reason this situation exists. They gave bad information. He then asks me if I see any cars outside. I replied no. He says he isnt a car dealership & it isnt up to his guys to know every single car. I explain calmly thats its bad training on their companys part. If the guys didnt know the answer, they should say they dont know if our car will work. They shouldnt guarantee something if they cant speak for it. We go back & forth about this & he continues about the Subaru. I keep trying to get him to focus on whats relevant. Yes, weve already talked about the Subaru. Im saying we have friends coming here but we cant rent tonight because you wont be flexible AT ALL.. Bob then says, Well it was your choice to come in at 5 pm. I then reiterate that ALL of this was again, because HIS PEOPLE gave incorrect information. He says its my husbands fault because when my husband when into parking lot, he bad mouthed the company and his employees heard it. Although he couldnt give an example of something my husband apparently said. A good business would have had a better attitude & tried to find a way to make it work. When I gave the feedback to Bob that I think in the future they need to focus on training their people with customer service & mentioned I was going to review online, he said he was going to rebuttal and made it seem like our fault. Honestly, whole situation would have been better if he had a better attitude. If he had gotten off his butt & walked outside & looked at car and been like, Oh man, sorry it isnt going to work. Maybe there is something else we can figure out. It would have been okay. The fact he was a jerk & not accommodating, didnt help situation. Sure the OWNER is missing the $200+ Bob lost him in business.

I purchased a Stihl helmet and chap set from chatfield time. Got home tried on the chaps and the waist band was approx 6 shorter than advertised from stihl. I took it back, and they said they would make it right. I got a call the next day, they extension was in two days later. I must say I was genuinely imperessed. These guys not only listened, acted promptly, kept me up to speed with time lines, but they cared about my time and experience, when the extension arrived, i went to pick it up and pay for it and they didnt charge me. These guys genuinely believe in the products they sell and the service they provide and it shows. Now as for these trolls leaving bad reviews about whatever, quit crying go hug a tree elsewhere. I was genuinely impressed with the service quality and i will absolutely be returning. And they are open 7 days a week, you just dont find that anymore.

Let me start from the beginning; I bought my very costly commercial grade Stihl weed whacker from these guys last year. This year I figured it was due for a tune up and I wanted a brush cutter attachment to clear some willows along my creek I have been attempting to tame. I went in the Thursday before the Fourth of July. I had my two girls with me (ages 17 months and 3 months). Now I knew exactly what I wanted and had done my research to make sure my model could make use of the brush cutting blade. The first person I talked to said my model wasnt compatible. I asked for a second opinion from another sales guy who said it was indeed possible. It took him about 30 minutes to figure out what parts I would need. Then I asked about a tune up kit, which he said that Stihl doesnt make for my model, so he had to look up the parts individually. At this point my girls were getting pretty fussy. It took him about 20 minutes to figure out the 3 parts I needed (fuel filter, spark plug and an air filter). I paid for my parts (plus shipping costs?!) And was told that they would be in the following week (the week of July 4th) it took until the 17th of August to receive my parts. But wait - theres more! He didnt even put the plug or filters in the ticket!! He asked of I wanted to order them but I couldnt justify waiting another 6 weeks and paying another 13 dollars for shipping... I bought the brush cutter to take down some willows growing along my creek.. When they were about an eighth of an inch in diameter and a couple feet tall theyre now 5 feet tall and nearly three quarters of an inch in diameter.. Frustrating. My time is too valuable to deal with these guys in the future.

I cant speak to the negitive experiences others have had, but my experiences have consistantly been positive. Ive rented tents (20x40), BBQ grills for St Philips annual Rally Day, and skip jacks, and a few misl. tools for my personal use. Never a problem and I never felt my time was wasted. Prices are competitive.Ask questions, have them walk though how to use it. They have never hesitated to help me understand how to use a piece of equipement.

Brought a snowblower in to repair pull starter, 3 mo later they said it was repaired. When I went to pick it up the top control decal plate destroyed. This machine is covered an stored indoors an not a scratch on it. When I talked to the owner Gary who is the rudest person Ive ever met, short of saying almost every cuss word known, probably his entire vocabulary. He said tough luck get out of here. Then the workers wanted to know if I wanted to hand pick it up. I had to ask arent you a rental place an you dont have ramps oh yeh, then they didnt even know how to start it to drive it up. I had to do it myself. Save a lotta grief dont use these people, terrible cust service. As for Gary theres not enough words to describe his terrible customer skills! extremely hot headed an rude!

Do not understand how this place stays in business. I have tried to give these guys the benefit of the doubt and on 3 separate occasions they are consistently rude, unaccommodating and overpriced. They always disappoint me.Dont bother to try, its time for the owners to sell and retire.
