Sean is not only the owner but he also trains me! He is very professional, knowledgeable, and helps me reach my goals. I need the accountability after falling out of shape for a couple years. Over the last 3 months i can see the transformation not only physically but mentally. I highly recommend JRT FIT! This facility is extremely clean and has very nice equipment.

I have been working with Sean Johnson at JRT Fit for the last 4 months. I have participated in both personal and group training sessions with him. Sean is extremely knowledgeable and highly trained in all areas of personal fitness and nutrition. My main reason for starting training was in preparation for a knee replacement. I had one done in February and the rehab was very difficult. I had to get my other knee done and was told if I had been stronger prior to my first surgery, my rehab would have been easier. I worked out with Sean for three months and he designed a program for me to focus on strengthening my quads and overall core strength. I had my second knee done one month ago today and Im already back to working out and walking a few miles every day. I attribute this solely to Seans expertise and knowledge to help me prepare. He makes working out fun...believe it or not! Hes very motivating and encouraging...even when the last thing I want to do is work out. Im currently doing a small group training three days a week with four other ladies and the atmosphere is fun and relaxed even though were all working hard. I would encourage anyone who is considering starting or changing their workout program to at least talk to Sean.
I love coming here! Sean has a great (and scientific) approach to working out. As he trains your muscles, he also trains your brain by teaching correct terminology and offering stimulating conversation. I take advantage of 1-on-1 training and group training. The people in the group training sessions I attend are also fun and engaging. The gym in not gigantic like a Planet Fitness or similar but it’s a good size and the equipment is all really nice. I think it’s also important to point out that I’ve never felt judged by anyone in this gym.
JRT Fit is a great training studio with new state-of-the-art equipment. It is a welcoming environment, well-lit with natural light, and located in a neighborhood shopping plaza that is easy to access. Ive trained with Sean Johnson, JRT Fit owner, since July 2000. When I was a regular weekly client with him from July 2000 - August 2004, I had amazing results! I moved away (and I tend to slack without weekly in-person accountability), but I still train with Sean when I can because he truly knows what he is doing. He is the most attentive trainer Ive observed in a gym environment, staying focused on the client hes working with, assessing each persons needs, and carefully watching form to prevent injury. Sean actively pursues knowledge by staying up-to-date with research and understanding how the body works so that he can provide the best service and equipment to his clients at JRT Fit.
I started working out here with Sean on July 1 of 2017, I must say I have been extremely pleased with my results. I was in the Army for close to 10 years and these workouts are as intense or even more than in the Military. I have lost 35 lbs, shrunk 1 shirt size and 2 pant sizes in that time. When I started I had no confidence due to my body size. Now I have full confidence in myself and people around me are noticing. Both of my ankles were so weak when I started due to multiple injuries and surgery’s. I used to roll my ankles on almost anything not level but after 3 month of ankle strengthening exercises I have noticed a vast improvement. I can run, play sports, go hiking, etc. Most importantly the trainers here are friendly and not judgmental, for me coming in not being able to do anything that was a major relief. If you are like me and need a trainer to push you then this is the place for you.
I have had many trainers before, but have now found the best! Sessions with other trainers is always just counting reps and making new workouts... the accountability was always nice as well. Sean, the owner of JRT Fit, is far different. He explains everything in detail and keeps adjusting my form... he makes the smallest adjustments that can make it so much more difficult (as he says, heading towards the path of MOST resistance). No other trainer compares!His studio is amazing! It is always so clean, with the nicest equipment even compared to the big gyms. Its so nice having no members... its always amazing not having a crowd to dodge. If you dont want just any trainer, hire Sean at JRT Fit!

Ive been in Seans group training class for a while. He has designed the perfect routine for me that I can do in the group session but on my own. We laugh a lot while working super hard. His facilities are very clean and he has great equipment.
WOW, what a place, Sean has the knowledge to help me get back where I want to be. Hes hands on and very knowledgeable,. Ive worked out at other gyms but you felt like just a face in the crowd. Not here, youre treated like an old friend.He truly likes what hes doing and it shows in his smile and in his voice.I HAD a sciatic nerve problem and after only a few visits Sean fixed it, his knowledge was more than my doctors, who could only offer me pills to mask the problem not fix the problem. I find this level of training exactly what I need in my life, Im 66 years old and need training customized to my ability and needs such as strength, flexibility and balance this is the only gym that has offered this level of training and they adjust this training as my ability improve.Im stronger with better balance more flexibility and able to continue living an independant life do to training with JRT Fit trainers.

I have never experienced such positive results as I have had with my trainer at JRT Fit. They have a built a workout specifically designed for my body that addresses my personal muscle imbalances. The muscle imbalance assessment test they do right off the bat to understand the needs of your body is very different than what you see from other trainers and gyms where they just prescribe a one size fits all for everyone. Sean Johnson at JRT fit has helped me an incredible amount. As a former competitive gymnast, I have received many injuries and muscle imbalances. He has helped correct my imbalances and worked with my injuries that no other physical therapist has been able to fix. Each time I walk out of training, I feel strong without any pain. Sean has customized my workouts to help me train for American Ninja Warrior. This past November I qualified top 16 in the Womens Pro Division for the Wolfpackninja tour being the youngest at 15. Sean not only has improved my strength, but he gets me in the right mindset to compete and helps me stay motivated. The gym is always clean, never too crowded, and theres a good variety of machines, free weights, other equipment (battle ropes, bosu balls, etc.), and plenty of floor space. Everyone there is really friendly and supportive. I trained with Ralph Thomure, who was so patient with me - a complete novice to strength training - and always pushed me to keep improving. I would highly recommend Ralph and JRT Fit to anyone.

I have been training at JRT since they opened last year, and there is so much to love!It is clear that the owner, Sean Johnson takes pride in his gym. The facility is clean and loaded with state of the art equipment. Aside from himself, the trainers he has brought in are all very knowledgeable. I personally train with Ralph Thomure but I have also had numerous conversations with Sean and Jenna. All three of them are very knowledgeable about athletic training, and I would highly recommend any of them.The reason I started training is because nearly 3 years ago I tore my ACL and until I started training with Ralph, I was scared to push my legs to get stronger. I started training in April of 2016 and it was the best decision Ive ever made post-injury. This will be the third ski season since the injury/surgery and my knee/legs have never felt stronger! Aside from this, because of my crazy work schedule... having our training sessions scheduled helps me stick to at least those workouts (even if I skip the others in the week). Im less likely to skip a training session as opposed to going to the gym on my own, which has made a huge difference in my life. In the past, if I got really busy at work I would fall into a slump of not going to the gym for a while but now that doesnt happen with training sessions scheduled.There are SO many reasons to start with a personal trainer; to get stronger after an injury or even just to get in shape... I definitely suggest giving it a try!
